We Will Take Our Country Back...

Thank you America. It’s about time, too. It’s about time the silent majority stood up and found their voice again. It’s about time we told the idiots running our country into the ground, that we’ve had enough of the insanity.
From here on out, April, 15th will take on a whole new meaning. It was the day we stood up against an out of control government, and said in one clear voice, that we’ve had it. We’re sick of it and we’re not going to take it anymore.
We’ve had it with the crazy government spending. There’s no way in hell that borrowing trillions of dollars from China, an amount we’ll never be able to re-pay is ever going to be okay. Simply put, we’ve had it!
But the left-wingers and the one-sided main stream media just don’t get it, do they? It’s not just taxes we’re sick of. We’re sick of being ridiculed. We’re sick of being called names. We’re sick of being marginalized. We’re sick of being attacked if we dare to mention the name of God in public or that we believe abortion is wrong. We're sick of being attacked simply because we believe that marriage should remain between one man and one woman. Not all of us, but a hell of a lot of us are sick of our tax dollars paying for abortions all over the world.
We’re sick of left-wing loons telling us that illegal immigration is a good thing and that the illegals are only doing the jobs Americans won’t. Tell that to the millions of Americans that are now out looking for work. Go ahead, tell that to a guy who’s just been laid off from a job he’s been at for 20 or more years. Go ahead, tell him. Just don’t be surprised if he knocks you on your ass when you do.
We’re already sick and tired of Obama and the socialist agenda he’s cramming down our throats. Think I’m exaggerating? Think again. The government is now in the process of taking over the U.S. Auto industry. Remember when GM stood for General Motors? Now it stands for Government Motors. How about them taking over the banks and insurance industry. And no, I’m not out of my mind. All you need to do is to take off your stupid, political blinders and pay attention to what's going on.
We’re sick of idiots like Homeland Security Secretary, Janet Napolitano telling law enforcement officials to be on the lookout for right-wing groups and veterans returning from Iraq because they might be prone to violence. Also on her list, are people who oppose restrictions on firearms, people who oppose Obama’s social programs, people who oppose some of the crazy free-trade agreements we’ve entered into, and those who oppose same-sex marriage.
Her list includes people who oppose a one world government, people who bemoan the decline of U.S. stature in the world, and those who are upset with the loss of millions of jobs to countries like China and India. I’m almost certain I'll end up on that list somewhere. Hey Janet, how about you getting your people down on the Mexican border and do something useful for once in your miserable life.
We’re sick and tired of the elite left-wing, self important news paper and TV reporters, news commentators, politicians, late night comedy show hosts, comedians, and actors around the country looking down on us little people as though we’re somehow less important than they are.
Did you happen to see the interview on MSNBC, where comedian, Janeane Garofalo, appeared on Count Down with Keith Olbermann? She sat right there and called every one of us a bunch of redneck racists. Good ol' Olbermann was right in there too. And the left cries about Fox News being partisan. Whatever. Check it out on the blog this week. This is exactly why we’re so pissed off. She portrays exactly what the left thinks of us. Yeah, we’re sick of that too.
Here’s the deal. We’re by far the majority in this country and because of the Tea Parties, the left is now in full blown, panic mode. They’ll do everything they can to attack us. They’ll call us every name in the book, hell, that’s the only thing they know how to do.
But know this. April 15th, 2009, there were 6 million of us standing up for what’s right about this country. Next year there will be more. And come election day, 2012, we “WILL” take our country back. And that my friends, you can count on!
I know for a fact, there are a lot of you who believe the way I do. And if you haven’t seen the interview I mentioned, check it out on the blog and see what I mean at: www.rm235.blogspot.com or you can always e-mail me at: www.kevinmcginty@sbcglobal.net

  1. It doesn't look good for Obama in 2012. Janet Napolitano is starting to remind me of Janet Reno, a la Waco. The border war death toll has already made Waco look like a Saturday night bar brawl. And the bad news is not coming north with the same alacrity as the death toll in Iraq and Afghanistan did. The dominant media are going to whitewash the horror while cheering the fact that Obama's EPA director has declared carbon dioxide a pollutant. Yeah, carbon dioxide. The stuff that helps keep the oceans from freezing over. The stuff that we all have to buy catalytic converters to make. If you list the absurdities of Democrat policies, the Republicans should be able to re-take the House in 2011.

There is no true liberalism among the so-called liberals anymore. What about that Perez Hilton sweetheart calling Miss California a "stupid bitch" for opposing gay marriage? The true liberals I remember would have said, "I respect her right to her opinion, but. . . ." The liberals are no longer the tolerant ones.

It's too bad that Obama is backed up by a party of such buffoons. I think he's a good man with views directly opposite from me. I'd like to see him have a wonderful presidency (as long as he is guided by a more conservative law-making body). I still have hope, but I don't see who is going to lead the Republicans like Newt did in '94. Well, I'll just keep on hoping.

    Good column, Kevin!

  2. yawn.... where were these protestors when the previous president started this spending influx????? those tea-baggers (hahaha!!) showed nothing but a disgruntled right-wing view-point that is mad they lost the election. please take off your "limbaugh-blinders".

  3. Did you watch the video Fred? This is what pisses me off most about the whole thing. It's the way people like myself are treated each and every day. And to tell you the truth, I'm sick of it. I'm sick of these pompus asses thinking they're better than me.

And you're right about liberals not being tolerant. You either tow the liberal line or they'll do anything they can to destroy you.

But you know what? Bring it on. What are they going to do, call me bad names? They sure as hell aren't going to shut me up and this time I'm bringing 6 million of my closest friends with me...

  4. Oh yeah, nice try my anonymous friend. But you're not even close. You simply have no idea what you're talking about.

Did you even read the column or are you just parroting the MSNBC talking points you've heard over and over?

Granted, we're pissed off because of the election. but to tell you the truth, we deserved it. The Bush administration was about as screwed up as you can get. And who'd we chose to go up against Obama? An idiot named John McCain. Who didn't this coming?

Seriously, did you even read the column? Did you watch the video I posted. Do you not understand that we're pissed off about a hell of a lot more than taxes?

Re-read it, watch the video, then and only then can we have an honest debate.

Look, you're entitled to your own opinion. But so am I. And to tell you truth, I'm mad as hell right now...

  5. Anonymous is often "yawn"ing, and I think I know why. He's sleeping through most of the information that's coming at him. The most incisive criticism of Bush came from Republican voters like us, because we knew what we were talking about. Liberal rants about him were so far off base that he ducked them like a poorly-aimed shoe. Come on, Anonymous. You're no fun asleep. Wake up and actually listen to Limbaugh. You would have heard plenty criticism of both Bush presidents, had you been paying attention.

Kevin is right. McCain is a idiot and may lose his Senate seat. His greenhouse gas plan which failed miserably in the Senate would have cost the U.S. more than the Kyoto treaty. I'm glad he lost.

  6. Amen, Fred. They'll never get it. They'll never get it because they refuse to even listen to anyone. It's their way or the hi-way.

What they don't get, is the fact that we're fed up with "GOVERNMENT" period.

Yes, I'm a registered Republican. But I can clearly see why we lost the election to Obama. We deserved to.

I'm against abortion. That doesn't make me a religous zealot.

Yes, I believe in God, but I don't consider myself a religous person. Haven't been inside a church, except for a couple of weddings and way too many funerals, for over 20 years now.

I'm just a regular guy doing the best I can to take care of my family. When you get right down to it, that's all that really matters to me.

When I see "GOVERNMENT" making it harder for me to that, it pisses me off.

Anonymous can throw all the left-wing, talking points at me as often as he want. I guarntee you, he won't be able to come up with anything I haven't already heard.

Truth is, his opinion of me, isn't important to me. It's that simple...

  7. I've had some time to think about Garofalo's attempts to seem learned by bringing up "synapses" and the "limbic brain" of Republican voters and Fox News viewers. It's ironic that she says the protestors did not understand what the Boston Tea Party was about; Janeane, doesn't know the first thing about the limbic system, which is this: We are all limbic. it simply explains the fact that we are all hard-wired to be emotional. If we were hard-wired to be logical we would not need to learn logic, mathematics, physics, and ethics from books and experimentation. There would be no need for schools. Everyone is limbic. She may think she's pulling a clever pun on the name Limbaugh, but who knows?

Furthermore, the way she talks about the synapses of Republican brains sounds gruesomely similar to the teachings of Gottlieb Burckhardt, the doctor who invented frontal lobotomies in 1890.

I had no idea that Garofalo was such an extremist. I can stand watching most liberal actors, but I will not bother watching her movies or her stand-up any more. No point. There are too many other actors and comediennes out there to waste time and money on her.

I wish her the best of luck in her new career as a nineteenth century psychologist!

  8. You're not supposed to notice things like that, Fred.

You're just supposed to go along with her and MSNBC as they look down their noses at us simpltons. You know, because they're so superior to the rest of us.

I'm was wondering why our friend, Cat hasn't stopped by to tell her side of this story.

But then, I think she already has. I'm pretty sure she gave us her thoughts as anonymous. What I can't figure out though, is why she feels the need to hide behind an anonymous name.

To tell you the truth, I'm a little disappointed.

Thank you for your support of this blog. Most of the time it's just you and me, Fred.

  9. Hey, Anonymous! Nice to see you!

I don't think Cat is anonymous. Something tells me it's a guy. Most women I know are clever. And wishing death on people is neither clever nor feminine.

Anonymous, I realize I've given you many reading assignments lately, and you're obviously not doing it. The platitude "Love always wins" was ridiculed to death in the fourteenth century by Geoffrey Chaucer. It is revived kept on life support only by uneducated, unreflective people.

Now, if you will find a decent translation of Gottlieb Burckhardt, you will be chilled to find that Janeane Garofalo was nearly quoting him word for word. Please try to keep up with the material!

  10. Dear Anonymous: I assure you it isn't just Kevin and Fred who come here to compare notes. Most of us simply do not care to dignify your intolerant remarks with a reply.

Great column, Kevin. I figure I fit about five of Janet's profile characteristics. I'm a thirty three year Air Force vet, I believe in the sanctity of life, I own several firearms, I'm a Christian and proud of it, I think illegal immigrants are just potential Democrat voters and I believe in lower taxes and less intrusive government. She should have her jack booted thugs lock me up post haste. (That means immediately, if not sooner, Anonymous).

  11. Nah, I'm pretty sure the "yawning" Anonymous and the "death wishing" Anonymous are two different people.

Yawning sounds like a typical liberal, parroting the MSNBC talking points. You know, complain about everything but offers nothing in the way of soultions.

Pull out of Iraq. Then what? Close GITMO without any kind of plan of what to do with the captured terrorists. They say America's use of things like waterboarding is pure evil even though it has been proven that it's helped save thousands of American lives. They rant and rave about global warming and want to shut down all coal, and nuke powered power plants before we even have a reliable alternative source of power. They oppose the death penalty for any reason, but demand that a woman or even a young girl of any age be able to get an abortion at any stage of her pregnancy for any reason what-so-ever.

Anyway, that's who I think our "yawning" Anonymous is.

Oh yeah, the second one, the "death-wisher." He's just a bitter S.O.B. I think he's probably a stupid, young, college kid who still lives in his parents basement. He thinks he's better than the rest of us. He's probably book smart but doesn't have enough sense to pour piss out of a boot. It's probably too late to save him.

And Farmer, thank you for chiming in today. And thank you for your service to our country. I'm proud to have you aboard. Stop by anytime...

  12. You may be right. I might have been lazy to combine them into one person. Maybe it just helped me to deal with them. Like you, I did have one of them filed away as some callow, college know-it-all who has never had his ass kicked (and desperately needs it).

I guess if they want to sign on as anonymous, they can't blame me for lumping them together.

The thing that cracks me up is that they assume that you and I agree on everything. If any anonymous is reading this, I'll record publicly that I voted against the gay marriage ban in Kansas, albeit on conservative grounds, not liberal. Incidentally, I wear a beard, a pony tail, and wire-rimmed spectacles. Being attached to a moderately-radical disability rights group, as I am, most of my friends are quite leftist and a few are confessed communists. But that doesn't mean I agree with them, either.

  13. Let's see, in my book, that would make you an independent thinker, Fred.

I doubt that will make any difference to our death wishing, anonymous buddy, who desperately needs his ass kicked though. In his world, you either think his way or shut up. That's too bad.
