And Then There Were Three...Or is it Four?

You can say what you want about this year's presidential election cycle but you can't say it's been boring.

It's the stuff political junkies like myself live for.

Like every election cycle we've ever been through this year's has been full of high-five's, crushing defeats, and reevaluations.

In some cases we've watched victory speeches and concession speeches in others.

Despite his vow to carry on regardless of what happened last night Marco Rubio finally got the message that the American people weren't interested in anything he was selling.

Good riddance, "Little Marco."

I couldn't help but laugh when Kasich (The Captain's guy) got word that he'd won his home state of Ohio.

After being soundly and completely rejected by millions of voters all across the country Kasich finally got his first win and more or less declared himself King of the World.

He vowed to rent a covered wagon and sail it across the Rockies to California, then on to Cleveland where he'd proudly accept the republican nomination.

Then there was Ted Cruz.

And like most of you I really do like and support the guy, but come on.

He took to the microphone like he'd just won the whole ball of wax.

Sorry Ted, but you didn't win anything last night.

He gave a shout out to Rubio then urged his former supporters (both of them) to join his campaign as they set out to stop Donald Trump.

And wining three out of the four contests last night was the only guy who in my opinion is capable of crushing Hillary Clinton was Donald Trump.

And you have to admit his win in Illinois after the way "Unholy Left" went after him last week was awesome.

And that my friends is sending shock waves throughout the ivory towers of the Republican Party Establishment types.

At this point their only hope to stop Trump is to deny him the 1,237 delegates he needs to secure the nomination which is the only reason Kasich is still in the race.

The millionaires and billionaires who make up the (members only) Republican Party Country Club are obviously willing to disregard the will of the American people and place one of their own at a brokered convention which at this point is their only real option.

Don't think they'll do it even if it means destroying the Republican Party as we know it?

Of course they will.

They're fully aware that if it appears they've stolen the nomination from Donald Trump the vast majority of his millions of supporters will revolt and Hillary Clinton will be the next President of The United States.

They don't care.

They're so worried about protecting their own individual power structure and personal fortunes that they're willing to sell their souls and the American people down the river to keep it.

But that's politics and as we all know, it's a blood sport.

I guess we'll see who blinks first...

  1. Just looked on NBC delegate tracker...
    http://www.nbcnews.com/politics/2016-election/#delegate-tracker-section

and it is frightening the lead that "The Hillary" has... unless there's a major turn of events, she can probably count on being on the ballot.

The Republican ballot is too close to call.... if one of the other guys throws their support to Cruz, he could easily be on the ballot....if not then it's going to be Trump.

I'm not making predictions as of yet though.. :)

  2. Come on Kevin, especially as you're a political junkie too, an open convention is something to die for. And hey, if the Ego is as good at "great" "wonderful" deals as he says, why Kasich and Cruz are done for. And if he didn't get over 50% of the vote, nothing is being "stolen" from him. He's way under that mark right now.

You don't need to look too hard to know that the WWE impresario is about to get tag-teamed. It makes tactical sense for sure and you can tell by the way they act that John & Ted like each other much better than the Donald or Marco. Would I vote for a Cruz-Kasich ticket? On THAT you can bet your bottom dollar.

Now will I vote for The Ego? Sure, just as soon as he gets nominated and faces a damn Dem.

    And not a nanosecond before.

    ReplyDelete
  3. Lol... I knew you'd say something along those lines, Captain.

And you're right. He is way under the 50% mark right now and as long as Kasich stay in the race he'll probably never meet it.

But that's not the way his supporters are going to see it...

    ReplyDelete
  4. And make no mistake. I'd very willingly throw my hat in the ring for a Cruz-Kasich ticket.

But if they end up trying to place someone in there like Romney or Paul Ryan like Boehner has recently suggested, well, that's when the shit hits the fan...

    ReplyDelete
  5. Good morning, Rikki... You really need to lighten up on the caffeine. Lol...

  6. Hi Kevin, yeah probably.... but don't give me any of the decaf foo foo stuff... yuk...

p.s. I can't believe they brought Romney out of moth balls... ugh!

  7. The funny thing about Romney is that if he'd have gone after Obama the way he went after Trump we might not even be having this conversation...

    ReplyDelete
  8. Are they going to go ahead and elect Hillary Clinton as a result? Well, then they'll get their chance to get really, really mad. Supreme Court nominees like the one Obama is offering now? Those will be off the table if Hillary wins.

Remember what you were told as a kid - "anyone" can be President? Well that's what Kasich and Cruz are doing.

Anyway, just on issues I agree with Trump more than the other two. Sorry, but I can't watch someone insult everyone in the room, talk about his Johnson on national TV, offer no specifics other that things will be "really great" or "awesome," and have been a big Dem only 8 years ago. I just don't see such behavior as presidential.

And he's more dangerous than you think. He's going to "make deals" with Dems. Now I don't know that I mind that in theory. But I think a lot of awfully conservative Republicans are going to get disappointed.

And where did Romney come off as a "moderate?" He said my man, Huntsman, was in the wrong party and forced Gingrich to be the moderate. His responses were as right-wing as anyone could ask for. And Rush getting his minions to force Gingrich to quit talking about "vulture capitalism." That turned out well, didn't it?

No Republican was going to win in 2008. Two terms of Bush and the country had had enough. That's the same dynamic Hillary is working against this time and why the election is the Republicans' to lose. We just have to make sure that doesn't happen.

  9. The Hill is looking worn out and old. Both Trump and Cruz look strong and ready for the battle. I like Cruz but I have a hard time listening to him speak. Trump continues to say the same thing over and over but I like that he is strong and will say whatever he thinks about the Hill. Not sure I would want Trump as the leader of our country but I would back Trump or Cruz 100% over the Hill.

    ReplyDelete
  10. And the guy from Ohio needs to stop with The Purpose Driven Life stuff. Or whatever that book was.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Rose, she's looking tired and worn out because, well, because she is...

    ReplyDelete
  12. Of course you're right, TR, but that doesn't mean the candy-dates are equal. Indeed, the Ego would upset the calculations enough to win, possibly big. Kasich already leads her heavily and would be the most likely to win. Cruz will grow on people, especially with someone like Kasich on the ticket. Remember, I thought he was a right-wing nut-nut a couple of years ago. Now he's someone I could proudly have for president. Besides about half my family caucused for him.

My problem with the Ego isn't his position on issues. It's that I don't want someone like that as president. You see, a large part of being president is, well, being presidential. Kasich and Cruz definitely have it. Rubio and Trump, well, ... Like I said, I'd vote for 'em over Hillary (but then again I'd vote for Trudeau, Merkel, or al-Sisi before I'd vote for her). She's truly loathsome.

    1. Oh, believe me I have always liked Kasich. I wanted to vote for him in the primary here in Texas, but I just don't think he will pull ahead. I always thought he was the one, but until just recently he was too meek. He has gotten more serious lately but I'm afraid he is too far back. Not that I like that.

  13. And Captain, I liked Romney just fine up until he folded like a coward during the debate when Candy Crowley set him up with the Benghazi crap.

    Remember this?

    "Candy, get the transcript?"

In my opinion that was the tipping point and when Romney became a loser.

But I still voted for him...

    ReplyDelete
  14. Piss on it I can at this time go with a Trump Cruz, I could not vote for Kasich, really doesn't matter, the Peoples vote's means nothing, it is the party's vote that counts. Only thing I am paying attention to now is seeing how fucking corrupt our government is. But having spent most of my life working in it I already know it, just hoping the others soon learn about it. I don't fear Russia, North Korea or Iran as much as I do my own Government. Makes me sad to say that.

    ReplyDelete
  15. And I didn't. He wanted to talk tough and tell other people they either didn't belong in the party (Huntsman) or were too liberal for it (Gingrich). So he could do without my vote. Don't get excited. I voted for Johnson.

Isn't it odd that we have about twice to three times the activity on this single thread than cj has had in over a day? Vive le 235!

    ReplyDelete
  16. Odd? Yes.

    Surprising? Not at all.

You see, the left is so pissed off, angry, and miserable all the time they have no idea how to react when they don't have someone to attack...

    ReplyDelete
  17. Well, if they're really big boys and ate ALL their Wheaties this morning, they can come over here an attack.

Only problem is, no one to run to when they get their asses handed to them.

    ReplyDelete
  18. And that's the problem.

Truthteller and I are the sole moderators and neither one us are likely to be very sympathetic to their whining...

    ReplyDelete
  19. It is unlikely, unless they change rule 40, that Kasich is eligible for the nomination. And at this time only Trump is since Rule 40 requires getting the majority of the delegates in eight states.

The race for president isn't supposed to be a tag team event so if Cruz and Kasich conspire to keep Trump from winning I will not support them.

Backroom deals, deceit and ignoring the will of the American people is why we are demanding a change in our government so I will not support anyone who participates in manipulating the process.

No different than a track event where a fast, but not fastest runner wins because a slower runner purposely tripped the fastest runner at the behest of the fat but not fastest runner.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Kevin I am not voting for anyone that didn't earn it, appointing someone is not what I am all about. I am for who the people voted for and if that person wins, that to me is when the fat lady sings. Now if the hunch back Kasich sweep the table here on out or is in the real running than it will be different.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Ignoring the will of the American people indeed.

That's exactly what they've been doing for years now and it's exactly why Trump is so wildly popular.

    They created him...

    ReplyDelete
  22. I don't like Kasich but I'd support him if he wins it fair and square and not through gaming the system.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Well and this bullshit of you have to have 1237 delegates is nothing but crap, the one that has the most wins, If two is at the top and running neck to neck and one has 620 and the other 616 guess who win's? Like a ball game one run over the other team wins.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Ktt that all I ask for is a fair ball game.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Come on Sarge, it's never been that way throughout history and you know it. You need a MAJORITY of the party to go forward.

The Ego should have thought it through a little better before he started calling other people names. You know, maybe realize that he might need their support later. Hm-m-m!! Think "little Marco" or "lyin' Ted" are going to fall over themselves to hand a nomination to him. He hasn't been insulting Kasich, but that's about to change. He can't help himself, he has ZERO self-control.

And Sarge, EVERYONE KNEW they had to have 1237 delegates before they started this thing. Or are you going to say the Ego is SO important that he gets to change the rules in the middle of the game?

    ReplyDelete
  26. fair ball game? I've got a little league wooden ball bat... who do you want me to take a swing at?

    (smiles)

    just kidding.

    Rikki

    ReplyDelete
  27. Now, now Sarge, I ain't goin' for any Third Party shiznazz, either. If Ego gets the nomination I have to go for him. Can't let Hillary have it. But people need to know that "majority" means "majority." Which in this case means 1237. "Majority" does not mean "plurality," no matter how one may wish it to be so.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Ken right 850 = Majority over 600 right? Now if you are talking rules is one thing but understand they can change rules to suit themselves. It is fixed anyway you look at it.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Sarge, they can't change THAT rule. Conventions have always required at least half + 1. Some conventions in the past took MANY ballots to determine a winner. Until 1928 the Dems took 2/3 majority, not 50% + 1. No it isn't fixed, but if the Ego wants that majority, he had better get cracking. Cruz and Kasich only need to prevent that from happening. Open conventions of the past all had loads of favorite sons to deal with to get those states votes (Kansas did this as late as 1968 - all 20 delegates for Senator Frank Carlson), which would have favored the Ego. Those things are gone, now you will have to deal with other candy-dates. So what was with the Ego insulting people? What will he say to them to get delegates? "I guess you aren't THAT little, Marco," or "I meant you were lyin' on the sofa, Ted." He's going to be faced with the bleak consequences of his own actions.

    ReplyDelete
  30. See Batshit, this is the way it's supposed to work.

It's obvious those of us here in this little Underground Bunker have a lot of disagreements.

Each and every one of us has a different take on the issues.

  32. Ken Hell I read all that also, you are not telling me anything new.
Cruz and Kasich only need to prevent that from happening you say? Well what does that tell you? Kasich is out, but will spend money from others to stop Trump, why it isn't for the good of the Country you can bet on that. Trump isn't saying what Millions of others would love to say had we had the platform, so many say it through Trump. Maybe you don't see it like I do and that is fine, I see it that this Country is fucked up. I just want fair simple as that.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Like I used to tell the kids: "'Fair' is my 4 letter 'F-Word'."

But for those who like things like that, Rules posted long before an event begins with notice on everyone are "fair."

Did it occur to you that to Kasich and Cruz (probably Rubio as well), stopping Trump IS for the good of the country?

There's F-ed up and there's F-ed up. Yeah I don't like a lot of things and the trend is getting worse. But a lot of things are going all right. My own little life, for instance, is fine.

  34. The GOP can change any of their rules. And watch, if Cruz or Kasich don't end up winning eight states and thus not eligible for the convention the GOP may change that rule.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Life isn't fair and the GOP can play dirty to defeat Trump, but I have the choice of who I support and in that case it won't be the GOP nominee. I can assure you I am not alone in my thinking.

Trump is also free to run 3rd party and I will be right there with him.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Well I do not except lectures well, but having said that I see you have mellow a little you are now offering to give me a Arrogant Bastard Beer or two, why now? I had to steal one last year when you went to take a piss. Gees.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Since it's a rule that's only been in existence since 2012, that's fair pool. It's a procedural rule. But they can't change the nomination rule. That will require 50% + 1. It's substantive, not procedural. And substantive changes can't take place at the convention they're enacted. They have to wait for the next one.

If you're going to watch for shenanigans at the convention, might I suggest that you ignore the substantive area and focus on the credentials committee? Look again at that 1973 CR convention in Lake of the Ozarks. Rove beat us bad on that one. He looked bad doing it, but I don't think he cared.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Are you saying they can't change rule until after the convention? I have not been able to confirm it for myself but Rush said it could be changed right before the convention.

I looked up the rules but didn't find the info on changing rule 40.

So if it can't be changed then Cruz or Kasich have to win 8 states to be eligible for the nomination.

Do I have that part right?

      Delete
    2. Finding some interesting stuff on this one KTT. Seeing the process of changing rules in the rule 34 situation, I believe they can change the rules with a simple "minority report" signed by twenty five percent of delegates. And this can happen at the beginning of the convention. They have even been known to block delegates on busses from even entering the convention to do it or prevent it. Again research what happened in rule 34 to understand how they can change 40. Neither of which I knew about until late January. So I won't pretend to be an expert.
But at this point I believe it's possible. But it would be certain death for the party to fly in the face of the people to change the rules suddenly. But the terrible fact of the party picks the candidate, not the people is true here.
Of I have time later I will dig a little deeper to see if I can clarify. I think Levin might have covered this btw. I'll look for a podcast from old...

I don't get Trump, really. Except he's not part of "the ones who have been screwing us from the GOP". Not crazy about his demeanor, and he DOES prattle on ("amazing".."amazing"...etc.,) and gets part way through a point and then veers off, and keeps doing it.

Still, if he gets it, he gets it. And, I'll vote for him over Hillary. If the Republicans game this and screw it up to hand it to Shrillary...I may just be one of the ones rioting in the streets, myself!

I'd rather Cruz, at this point. And, as someone mentioned....the Republicans were trying to get Trump to vow not to do 3rd party...but now that he's ahead..they are threatening to do what they tried to get him to promise not to do!

And, Kev..the little lady is right. Stop illegals. Careful with those Muslims. Number one job of federal government is to protect us from foreign attack and invasion.

And now...here's a new Trump ad to show how tough Shrillary would be: (Don't be drinking a beer while watching...don't want it blowin' out your schnoz!!!)

  65. OP here.
Well, home from workin' hard for the Liberals hand out money!
I am in total agreement with your wife, Kevin, on all of those issues!
As far as Trump and his talk, actions, and demeanor, I will say, and I think we all know that if he had not taken the course he did in the campaign process, he would not even be in the race at this moment! He has taken the stance on the issues of illegal immigration, Free trade/ job loss, unfair trade, Black Lies matter, terrorism and Muslims, and the hypocrisy of not only the Democratic party and candidates but also the hypocrisy of the Republican Party and the other candidates running! You all know that the reason they ask whether the Republican candidates, in the first debate, would support the Republican candidate nominated, in an act of solidarity, was to get Trump on board, to keep him from going third party! They were doing it to keep Trump from splitting up the party and losing the vote to the Dem nominee. They were doing it to protect themselves, not Trump! Now, the others seem to want to renege on their pledge because it did not go the way they expected!
For being a "virgin" candidate in a presidential primary, Trump has showed his marketing skills and ability to "read" the voters views and act on them to the delight of people who have craved a candidate that can actually listen and understand the frustrations of an ordinary voter, be able to express those frustrations in a language and tone that they have been waiting to hear from a politician, and also energize them to support and vote for him.
Trump is causing a whole lot of Dems, who are also frustrated with how all of these issues have been handled by Obama, to give the Republican candidate a serious look and even crossing over to support Trump. If Conservatives want to continue to have a voice in Government, they had better start listening to the people that Trump is listening to! Deal with the issues that are important to the majority of the people and then start fighting the "moral" issues that many conservative voters hold near and dear! To be viable, a political party must keep up with what is truly important to the people who actually vote! You think Trump's tone is crude now, just wait until he gets a chance to take on Hillary! I am excited at the prospect! She may even decide to turn herself in to go to prison rather than be crucified by Trump heading up to the General election!

    ReplyDelete
  70. Damn paper isn't on line yet ! How the hell am I to know if I am alive or not gees.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Good morning! Nunya here.

So Kev....I guess you wouldn't want me writing a little tune called "Kev's Wife is Right (But Don't Let Her Know)"?

As for FOX, they screwed themselves when they decided to do what all the others do, and started pushing for and against to cereate a spectacle, instead of trying to be impartial to present a debate as "a debate".

I found them as difficult to watch as the others.

And, I said right from the start that the Republicans needed to quit the freakshow shenanigans, and start really pressing the issues.

There is so much that could easily be explained...if someone would just do it. Explaining the fallacy of "Big Government" could resonate with even the more die-hard liberals, IF it was done intelligently.

There has got to be a relatively simple way to show that too much government simply costs too much. Someone needs to do a piece on just who actually DOES pay taxes, and who all are receiving direct tax money.

And, I mean...EVERYONE. There are people who earned and deserve the tax dollars paid to them...and I have no problem with that. I'm talking, primarily, military personnel and vets.

Many people can't do for themselves, and a compassionate society has no problem helping them.

Many people need a short-term hand-up due to job loss, illness, etc., and few object to that.

    All others, though..."get a job".

Someone needs to explain, plainly, that we cannot continue to give govt. employees lifetime benefits, early retirements, govt. pensions, etc. It's a Ponzi scheme, and it's collapsing in on itself. The ONLY people who should be eligible for early retirement, etc., are those who saw high-stress, early burn-out, dangerous duty...like police, firefighters, etc. Paper-pushers...get a 401k like the rest of us have to gamble on.

    To be continued....

    ReplyDelete
  72. Nunya, continued...

Who "pays taxes"? Again, a government employee (say, the federal government) making $100,000/yr., and paying...let's say...40% total taxes to everything (fed, state, county, property taxes, consumer taxes...everything else that everyone does)contributes $0 to (since he's working for the federal govt.) the federal government.

From a mathematical standpoint...even though his services may be needed...it's STILL a $100,000 federal budget liability...minus any small percentage that the worker might shoot back to the federal government.

You can't claim to be a net-positive taxpayer if you make $100,000/yr, and only contribute, say, 10% ($10,000) back to the kitty you just took it out of! They are paying taxes with tax dollars, in the first place!

The private sector taxpayers are the ONLY ones who can generate tax dollars. And, THAT'S dependent on if they even make enough to be taxed, instead of too-low wage to not be taxed, or even receiving more than they ever paid in.

We all know corporations don't pay taxes...even if they do. It's in the price. The consumer pays the tax for the company, and more taxes upon purchase.

Liberals can't seem to distinguish between "wealthy people" and corporations. Taxing corporations is NOT "taxing the rich". It's only destroying the profits that millions of people rely on to fund their pension, IRA, 401k or other retirement account. It's hurting themselves, if they have any account that relies on the markets.

Kids too young to work pay no taxes, but receive tax money. Retired people don't pay "income taxes" on private-sector productivity. Welfare people don't pay, but receive tax money.

A lot of disabled don't pay, but receive. (And, the rates of 'disabled' have dramatically skyrocketed since Emperor O. was installed. A lot of scammers.)

College students pay little, to no, taxes. Illegal immigrants pay few, if any. (How can they legitimately pay payroll taxes if they are illegal?)

    There are more.

About 320 million people, total, in this country. About how many receiving, or not paying, or being a "tax entity liability" (even if it's just from a mathematical standpoint)?

Who the hell does that leave who pays net-positive taxes?

I'm guessing WAY..WAAAYYYYY...too few, just to cover all the ones receiving direct tax dollars. And, that's not even accounting for all the OTHER stuff in government tax dollars are used for...programs, projects, defense, etc.

SOMEONE on the conservative side needs to crunch these numbers, and show all the people just how way too-few pay, and way too many receive.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Hey Sarge....say three times "Batshit's Buttstache is a weenie-warmer" three times.

  75. Just wrote our Congressional representatives encouraging them to contact the GOP part leadership and them them that if there is a contested convention the nominee must be picked without political maneuvering or I will vote 3rd party and they will hand the presidency to Hillary.

    ReplyDelete
  76. I suppose Glenn Beck calling Kasich an "sob" COULD maybe have validity, but only under the adage "it takes one to know one." Kasich is aiming at a contested convention. One on one with Trump, Cruz cannot win such as Connecticut, Maryland & New York - Kasich is competitive in those states. Let's just say I predict Kasich won't campaign much in states like Arizona and New Mexico, the better to leave Trump to Cruz's tender mercies. At any rate, considering how Donald Trump has conducted himself to date, any "sob" tendencies on the part of Kasich and Cruz pale in comparison.

  77. KTT, I don't think they care if Hillary gets it, they just don't want Trump or Cruz for that matter, they just want to keep their Club in tact, both sides don't give a shit about this Country just keeping their own security milking the Golden Cow and keeping it producing for their own benefits..

  79. Got my brackets filled out. I've won or shared this thing the last three years running in the office, so I've got an image to keep. It's a mathematical certainty that between 25% and 33% of the first round games will be upsets. The trick is picking what those will be. Anyway, this is the only time of year I pay attention to b-ball. And dear old Amherst is in the Division III semis again. We won it all a few years ago. They called the team the "Mighty Whiteys." I wonder why.

    ReplyDelete
  80. So I read this morning that Moveon.org, the group funded by the Nazi sympathizer George Soros is threatening protests at a level never seen in this country. And I suspect they will do just that.

So it is my opinion the reason protests continue is a lack of incoming fire. So these things should happen.

First, every Republican should anytime they get in front of a microphone or a camera demand Bernie Sanders denounce the protesters acting in his name. If he won't, then repeat every opportunity that Sanders supports and endorses violent protests and civil rights violations. Remember when the democrats went ape shit because they claimed David Duke endorsed Trump? Reverse that one and increase the velocity to warp speed.

Second, when the protests happen, arrest and charge Soros with criminal conspiracy to violate Trump's civil rights and those of all the people who go to his rallies to see him. Arrest everyone in any kind of leadership role. Arrest everyone who they can tie in anyway to anything. These are federal crimes and should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. And the Republicans need to demand that at every opportunity.

Also, the riots need to be suppressed at any cost. Fire hoses, massive demonstrations of force. National Guard troops. Whatever it takes.

America cannot surrender to these anarchists and domestic terrorists.

I know full well none of this will happen because the head terrorist is sitting in the white house, and is funded by Soros as well. So, the Republicans need to start making this a major campaign issue. Instead of backbiting each other, take advantage of this gift the terrorists are giving them. In 1968 after the long haired maggot infested hippies rioted in Chicago it led to the election of Richard Nixon and a Republican ascendancy that lasted until Bush the elder screwed it up by "compromising" with the democrats and letting them raise taxes.

So they need to tell the American people what this party, this president and George Soros are up to. Instead of beating each other up let's beat up the real enemy here.

I must say that I am very p'd off at CJ. RP getting booted really hits at just how much these people [CJ mods and their lap dogs] hate any one who goes against their so called thoughts.
I really could care less about giving CJ a piece of our pie. If any one of us writes a blog on CJ it will be too soon for me. Let those Bass Ass Bastards rot in their little hell that they made. They are dying over there and I say let them. I can read other papers which I do. The only way to beat them is to stay away from them. There paper blogs are in the urinal and lets let it stay that way. Hurt them in their pocket book. I really hope some one that is in the ownership? gets the message that they are in trouble going down the road with those people they have there.

And if they want to cater to one person, while that's their right, it certainly isn't wise. They can't be happy when our little blog here runs rings around them, but they also can't be too pleased to learn their new head honcho of the blogs is: Keri!! Hey, if anyone knows of someone who might like to adopt a purebred Akita dog please let me know. This is a fabulous dog, about 150 pounds, housebroken with a good demeanor. The dog is about three years old and there is nothing wrong with the dog it is just to much dog for them. The dog does well with their three year old child. The people who own the dog are small people and the dog is too much for them to take on walks. Their yard is not large enough for this dog, he is an indoor dog. The dog is free to a good owner. The dog would do best being the only dog. I would take this dog, it is a beautiful big boy, but I already have a male blue heel and it just would not work. I personally know the owners and have seen this dog raised by them from a puppy. It is a very good HUGH dog, a good protection dog that needs a large yard. I would like to see the dog go to a good owner. Let me know if someone would like this gentle giant.

Just thought you'd like the opportunity to give your side but you can let stand the stories that might be out there about how "he cried like a baby on the phone" when things started to get pulled.

  141. Sucks to be on the outside looking in. One doesn't have to be a conservative to be in the know, it just requires respectful constructive debate on issues. We welcome disagreement and engage it among ourselves on a regular basis.

    1. You should know how it feels to "be on the outside looking in," eh, since you're here, on the fringe, weeping into the cracker barrel along with the other exiles from the mainstream of public discussion.

I guess you haven't also read yesterday's posts where your fellow "respectful constructive" debaters instantly called me things you (probably) wouldn't say in front of your grandmother. I didn't notice your stepping in to request civility and even your resident amateur shyster sank to tedious gay bashing and the like.

By this time you can no longer dispute that the decisions to kick you out were sound and grounded in genuine concerns for the damage you were doing to the business of the newspaper.

    2. There are lots of anonymous posts here. Use your CJ screen name and then we can know with whom we are are engaging. Otherwise it is hard to tell who is who.

Fishing for info on why I am not posting on CJ. LOL, my lips are sealed.

You come here attacking instead of discussing the issues so you don't deserve civility.

    3. Not fishing; asking outright.

      What's the truth, truthteller?

Was there an issue that merits being discussed?

As for "issues" that have been raised here, the only one I've seen is the republican primary and I have no opinion on which candidate there would be a greater waste of a vote or, simultaneously, brand a guy as a specific kind of a marginalized voter. So, I won't intrude in your backslapping in that discussion.

    4. Here is the deal. Post insulting posts like this one and not identify yourself and I will consider you a trill unworthy of having a discussion with and thus ignore you.

Identify yourself and comment in a constructive manner and I will respond in a similar way even if we disagree.

  142. Soooooo, you think I'm the keeper of your safe space?

Like Sarge told you yesterday. Looks like you opened the wrong door.

    Oh and, Batshit.

If being called a prick bothers you I'd suggest not being one. .

    1. I had to look at that a couple of times before I got it. You're saying it's not only me who's a brother whose keeper you aren't; granny can cover her ears if she doesn't like what she hears from your obscene followers. Okay. She's your grandmother.

Since you squandered the first opportunity you had to set straight the record by only bluster and name-calling, readers can reasonably conclude that you're still crying over a banishment that was justified and in the best interest of community standards and decency.

  145. "The mainstream of public discussion?"

From the way I hear it there hasn't been a single comment over there in the last couple of days?

  146. Awwww.....isn't that precious. He misses his old friends. Sucks to not have anyone to play with.

CJ is completely BORING now. No discussion, no debate, no exchange of ideas.

Just moronic prattle and displays of extreme stupidity.

  147. Let's compare the mainstream of public discussion vs. the little fringe we have here.

Just to make it simple let's compare their last 4 blogs to our last 4 blogs.

In the arena of mainstream public discussion the last 4 blogs have generated a mind boggling 6 comments in the last 3 days.

The last 4 installments of this little fringe blog of ours have generated 403 comments and 1,812 page views.

    You wanted everybody gone.

You wanted to be the big man on the block.

    You got it.

And now you got the whole place all to yourself.

    Ain't you special...

  148. Ha-haaaa! Nunya here.

Hey...speaking of "specific reasons" for something....

...what are the "specific reasons" a liberal is over here crying and whining, instead of in his far-left, fascist-moderated, anti-1st Amendment and censored-against-conservatives "Safe Space" over at the Urinal?

Not getting enough attention to...y'know...get your juices flowing to go pound your little pud with self-gratification of how you THINK you are getting anything over on us?

Sorry, little guy. You are not NEARLY intelligent enough to actually get under the skins of ANY of us. And, Buttstache? To me...he's also just a toy to play with, and to expose his stupidity, hatred and hypocrisy at every available opportunity.

The thing is...he cries to Mommy like a whiny little girl when he doesn't like something said.

That's just what weak-willed liberal pansies do. Lose a debate...go cry and throw a tantrum.

Seems the minnow's fish bowl is getting stale, murky and stinky over in the Urinal.

That's what happens when you swim around in your own feces for too long.
