Couldn't possibly have said it better myself...

The following is an open letter sent to me by a contributor to my blog over on the other website.
Personally I can't think of a single thing Chris Mark, the author left out...
Dear Mr. Khan,
I want to preface this letter by stating that I respect your son’s sacrifice for this great nation.  By all accounts, he is a true hero that sacrificed himself in service to our country. For that I am thankful.
As a veteran, I watched your comments at the Democratic National Convention with a mixture of sadness, and anger.  The United States has a military comprised of volunteers.  Every single member has made the conscious choice to join the military and serve.  There is not a single service member who has been forced into service.  It is important for all service members (and apparently, their families) to understand that service to this great nation does not imbue one with special privileges or rights.  I found your comments troubling when you said: “Have you ever been to Arlington cemetery? Go look at the graves of brave patriots who died defending the United States of America. You will see all faiths, genders and ethnicities. You have sacrificed nothing and no one.”
Does it matter whether Mr. Trump has sacrificed “…nothing and no one?”…has Ms. Clinton “..sacrificed” for this nation?  How about Mr. Obama?   Your comment stating that Mr. Trump “…has sacrifice no one” is alarming.  Are you intimating that YOU sacrificed?  Sir, your son willingly sacrificed himself.   As a father I cannot imagine the pain you must feel but his sacrifice is his own.  He was not forced to serve.
I am troubled that you would allow a party that has little more than contempt for the US Service Member to parade you into the DNC to denounce Donald Trump.  Did you watch when protesters at the DNC booed and heckled Medal of Honor recipient  Capt. Florent Groberg? Did you notice your party interrupting the moment of silence for slain police officers?  Your own hypocrisy in not denouncing these acts and instead using the DNC as a platform to make a political point is disgraceful.  The simple fact is that whether one served or sacrificed does not give greater power to their statements.  One vote is as valuable as another.  That sir, is why our Country is great.  Your condemnation of one person for a statement while standing idly as your party disparages veterans and police officers is the height of hypocrisy.
To conflate the need to prevent potential terrorists from entering our country with the belief that ‘all Muslims’ should be banned is simply wrong and disingenuous. As a reminder, Mr. Trump said: ” “Until we are able to determine and understand this problem and the dangerous threat it poses, our country cannot be the victims of horrendous attacks by people that believe only in Jihad, and have no sense of reason or respect for human life,” The irony of your son’s own death at the hands of these very people in Iraq should not be ignored.  I have little doubt that your son would have recognized the need to protect our country from these very people.  In fact, he held is own troops back so that he could check on a suspicious car.  Your son understood sacrifice and how to protect “his people”…’his soldiers’….’his fellow Americans’…
As you continue to make the media circuit and bask in the glow of affection cast upon you by a party that has little regard for your son’s own sacrifice, and veterans in general, I would ask you to consider your comments and your position more closely.
Respectfully,
Chris Mark
US Marine and Navy Veteran.

  4. This is a well written statement. I can't add anything, nor will I try. I would love to shake the hand of this fine American who penned it.
    My only hope is that things like this continue. To push back at the hordes, the masses that are determined to change America for ever.
    Firmly I still beleive we have a chance if messages like the above writer keep being sent. And we can all contribute in our own way. And none of us should lose sight of that.

    For the record, I will reference Walid Shoebat. He has some interesting things to say about Khan as well. Might want to check him out. I think Kevin still has the link on Web version of this blog.

  5. Btw welcome Marsh, to the bunker.

  6. And welcome aboard Marsh. Kevin has a couple good blogs here. This one is fast and loose. The other one is run by godless liberals and buttstash pretty much owns them.

    They'll boot you right off there. And of course it would be against the rules to create a new account and get back in there with a new name.

    But sometimes somebody shows up over there who thinks and sounds just like you so that helps.

  7. "Democrat human centipede"
    That's one of the best descriptors I've seen in a while.
    To me that might top "ungodly left".

    I mean, imagine humans surgically attached only to ingest what the one in front passes, and the next one and so on. Nothing fresh or worthwhile. No independent thought. Absolutely makes sense. Good work Safe.

    I apologize if I make no sense. But if you saw the movie "human centipede" you would understand. That's what Democrats are. Shit eating shit passers.

  8. I've gotten multiple abuse warnings and posts pulled without them. I like ragging on Gin. Those posts get pulled without a warning.

    i don't care if they boot me off. I was off there for a long time until I got bored and decided to check back in. I can live without them but can't let them bully me or not call out stupid posters.

  9. Hammer I knew you'd get it. One big democrat human centipede. Each segment eating the shit from the segment in front and feeding the segment behind. Every move coordinated. Incapable of moving apart from the whole unit.

  10. Sorry Marsh. I thought you were a new guy. I should have figured out you'd been around a while. Still welcome to the bunker.

  11. Still Safe at Home no need to apologize. It was a couple of years maybe longer since I posted on CJOnline. I quit posting when sonofbettysvwntilator stopped posting. I liked that guy and when he quit I quit. I was pretty sad to learn of his passing when I came back. He was a stand up guy. he was funny but in a smart way. Not like that puke Starman who is neither smart or funny. Sorry to ramble.

  13. Thanks for stopping by, Marshall and thanks for passing the Open Letter in today's blog along.

    And to answer your question about whether we have our own version of Gin.

    Yes we do.

    My partner, Still Safe at Home and I are the sole moderators of the little Underground Bunker.

    We take a little different approach than they do over at that other website.

    We don't go through all the mental gymnastics they do trying to justify ourselves the way they do.

    We're both assholes and if we decide someone's being a dick, Poof, they're gone.

    Those who feel like we're being unfair are free to appeal our decision to the complaint department.

    Unfortunately Safe and I head up that department as well and so far we've never overturned a decision to delete a comment yet...

  17. Shrillary campaign scoured the country looking for a sympathetic Muslim to prop up there to rail against Trump, and use as yet another hateful, divisive tool by capitalizing on tragedy. They found one in Khan, whose son died in 2004.

    Islamic terrorists killed his son. Period.

    It's not the first time Shrillary has exploited a grieving family member to push her agenda. Mother of Orlando shooting victim, Christine Leinonen, was also abused in this way by the DNC.

    These are typical examples of the despicable depths of desparate depravity liberals will sink to.

    I don't remember the Republicans parading victim after victim of Islamic terrorism, or other-race victims of black shooters, or any of that...but maybe I missed it?

    Exploiting tragedy for personal goals is 100% Hillary, and the M.O. for the DNC.

    Hypocritical, dishonest, lowlife, remorseless bastards...all of 'em.

  19. Well...I hope the word "bastards" was edited!!!

    And, now...this:

    Batshit pounced right into full-hate mode here:

    http://cjonline.com/blog-post/rikkitikkitavi/2016-08-01/lynn-pattons-genuine-tribute-donald-trump-and-trump-family

    "Battlestache 08/01/16 - 10:12 pm"

    "So the assistant to Trump's kids supports Trump for president?
    Uhhhhhhhhh...Okay."

    So, then. Buttstash objects because she's...what?

    Black? Female? Earning a good living, being paid well? Being treated fairly, and respected?

    In the words of a dickhead, just mentioned..."Uhhhhhhhhh...Okay."

    Okay? What do you object to, Batshit?

    Mysoginistic...hate women...do you? Well..you've already revealed that side of your dark soul, many times.

    Is it because she's...GASP!..."BLACK"?!!!

    HUH?! REALLY?! You have a problem with blacks in good jobs?

    Maybe both? "Black women" in good jobs?

    You have a problem with blacks, or women, or..."black women" being treated well, and respected?

    Why...I'm SURPRISED at you, Buttmunch! (Not really...;))

    I mean...isn't that what the liberals are all burning down things, vandalizing and creating violence and divisiveness and hate to achieve???!!!

    I don't get it! We should all "celebrate" the respect and fair treatment Mr. Trump demonstrates to women, to blacks....to black women.

    Don't you "celebrate" that, Batshit?

    Is it, maybe...because she's not ALSO a lesbian? Would it be ok, then? You hate her because she may not be a lesbian (hell...I don't know) , so that negates her being black and a woman? What's it take...the trifecta, for you?

    No...we know what it's about. You hypocritical, low-life, hateful waste of carbon-matter.

    And, that's the truth!

  29. Let's just keep it real here: you volunteer to get up and speak at a national political convention, you have just volunteered to become red meat for the opposition. It works both ways, but no one can make political speeches, then claim immunity from criticism. The son made the sacrifice, one I myself had to be prepared to make, and none of the current candy-dates has EVER been in that position. Indeed, since McCain (who the Dims loved to belittle) and Kerrey none have done so.

    But if you Dims want to make such things immune from criticism, watch out, cause here comes The Remf!

  30. Hi y'all.... thanks for all you're doing and saying on my little blog over at the other site.

    For batty, St.J, and the other leftist idiots.... here's my post here because we all know you're here reading but too chicken shit to reply...

    Following my post here is a translation of my post....

    In listening to Lynne Patton's words

    she addresses the hate mongers well -

    ".....To equate racism with my boss’s call for a temporary moratorium on a flawed immigration system that radical Islamic terrorists continue to exploit, or the construction of an impassible wall to protect our borders from the influx of illegal drugs, is not only incendiary, it’s wholly irresponsible and only serves to embolden the very hatred these draconian groups espouse."

    Donald Trump is addressing things - wants to work on the problems that have been draining America for some time.... Donald Trump is also right in "it's time to stop being politically correct" I agree with that because I'm tired of the two step footing that Obama, Hillary, and other elected officials seem to do so as not to offend..... phooey on that.... the folks they are trying so desperately not to offend have proven time and time again that they don't give a damned about America as a whole.

    So.... all you Donald Trump hate mongers..... you'll only feeding your own hatred with your own idiocies.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Now for the translation to you lefties.... you are full of BS.
  35. So anybody catch the sentence commutation of prisoners even here in little ol Kansas?
    Apparently he considered drug dealers of meth/crack with firearms nonviolent.
    Ya see, this is the problem hammer has with libs. They scream about guns and how they are bad, and call for more laws. Yet, when people break those laws either a liberal judge moves downward from sentencing guidelines or a flaming dictator commutes their sentence.
    You break a firearm law, you rot in prison. Simple as that. Add drugs in the mix, you rot longer. Simple as that. Felon in possession of firearm? You rot even longer.
    And yes, if that unfortunately singles out black Americans? Tough.
    Let's substitute "muh oppression" for "muh behavior". Violent people should have a high price to pay. Black, white, yellow, brown, and of course that dreaded color. Orange....
  38. How is this for propaganda at its finest; this from Yahoo news:
    "
    Amid this tough stretch for Trump, there have been widespread reports that members of his team are growing frustrated and even despondent about their chance of victory. CNBC’s John Harwood reported that a source described members of Trump’s team as “suicidal.” Harwood’s dramatic claim was backed up by NBC’s Ali Vitali, who said one of her sources told her it’s “way worse than people realize.” According to CNN’s Dana Bash, the angry members of Trump’s team “feel like they are wasting their time” due to his damaging behavior.
    Please watch the video in the link I provided. If Trump isn't successful, who is next for us?
  39. Here's what happened: computers and the internet. Once they became as cheap and as prevalent as dime novels, anybody could type anything and because there it was, right in front of you, you thought it had value. You even revel in the experience and call it "free speech."
    Remember Janis Joplin? "Me and Bobby McGee?" "Freedom's just another word for nothin' left to lose?" The kind of "free speech" you're showing is worth exactly what it costs to read it: nothing.
    It used to be that everybody knew that the Presidential election was an event that happened every four years but that nobody out here in ordinary-person land ever fooled himself into believing meant anything or that he could influence with his lone vote and voice. That is to say, there they were, up there on the TV. Candidates you knew were basically the same person every time, saying the same things over and over and that nothing would change because they were interchangeable. It didn't matter who won because you'd still have to get up and go to work in the morning and see the same people, do the same things and repeat that for the rest of your life.
    Now, though, the magnetic power of your "free speech" has you convinced to risk everything, say anything, suggest the unmentionable and the long disproved and otherwise egg each other on into disappointment.
    No, I'm not talking about the disappointment of your candidate's losing. Maybe I'm talking about the disappointment that when your candidate does lose the country won't collapse into a heap of steaming, socialist offal. I'm trying to talk about the disappointment you may feel, though, by having tied your lives, fortunes and sacred honor to a name that may well bring final disrepute on you all.
    ReplyDelete
  40. You mean like how the Hillary supporters might feel if she manages to steal this election?
    ReplyDelete
  41. And Roger, this is exactly the kind of crap we'll be seeing from here on out.
    I saw a story on Facebook yesterday about republicans trying to figure out what to do if Trump suddenly drops out of the race.
    It's a concentrated effort by the left, and the "Never Trump people and their allies in the media to demoralize us by making it seem impossible.
    We'll see phony polls.
    We'll see more and more of the non-stop attacks against Trump and those of us who support him.
    It's the exact same shit they tried leading up to the Brexit vote.
    The British people saw through it and stood strong.
    Now the question is, do we as American citizens have the courage it's going to take to see this thing through?
    Nobody ever said revolutions weren't ugly nor are they easy...
  44. Usual left-wing Trump-bashing from Gerson at the Urinal. More importantly...the lies consistent with the left:
    http://cjonline.com/opinion/2016-08-03/michael-gerson-its-not-too-late-repudiate
    "How 12 million Africans were shipped as slaves across the Atlantic, the largest forced migration in history. How they built resilient institutions that maintained their identity and demanded their freedom."
    Gerson is obviously putting out a false narrative, attempting to convince the reader that all 12 million came to the U.S. This is clearly 'revisionist history', and it's taught in schools, everywhere.
    http://www.theroot.com/articles/history/2014/01/how_many_slaves_came_to_america_fact_vs_fiction/
    "Between 1525 and 1866, in the entire history of the slave trade to the New World, according to the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade Database, 12.5 million Africans were shipped to the New World. 10.7 million survived the dreaded Middle Passage, disembarking in North America, the Caribbean and South America."
    "And how many of these 10.7 million Africans were shipped directly to North America? Only about 388,000. That’s right: a tiny percentage. In fact, the overwhelming percentage of the African slaves were shipped directly to the Caribbean and South America; Brazil received 4.86 million Africans alone!"
    388,000....NOT "12 million"!
    "Then came a movement of conscience in which being a community organizer could demand the courage of a soldier and get your head cracked open. A movement opposed by domestic terrorists who bombed homes and churches, and murdered children (should we refer to them as “radical Christian terrorists”?)."
    You could call them "racist KKK Democrats", to be more precise.
    "This story of a captive people who forced America to fulfill its own ideals — the story of prisoners who freed themselves and also freed their jailers — is one of the most compelling moral narratives outside of scripture. "
    Those prisoners had help from white Christian Americans...over the strong and violent objection of the racist KKK Democrats.
    "Leaders who support Trump — members of Congress, conservative thought-leaders, figures of the religious right — do so for a variety of reasons. But whatever their motivations, they are encouraging an alternate and degraded version of America’s story."
    Gerson is clearly "encouraging an alternate and degraded version of America’s story", that should be challenged for the lies.
  47. I think this guy tearsandchalk has the same problem I had over there. No access to anything beyond the blogs. That paywall blocks everything else so you can't read let alone comment on the editorials.
    And I'm sure he feels the same way I do. I dropped my subscription after about 30 years of subscribing when I saw how they treated bloggers. Pulling comments, booting posters for nothing and lying about it. Then letting people like buttstash and bait fish boy do whatever they want. And now they punish you for flagging the assholes.
    I'm not speaking for tearsandchalk, but he might be in the same boat I am regarding that paywall.
    And that's why we have the terms of service we do here. They are fair and applied evenly and transparently. Nobody slides by here. No favoritism here.
