Friday observation

Since we don't really do the whole stay on topic thing like the CJ Urinal does, we tend to go with the flow here on America's other blog, I won't say it's open line Friday. Just a couple thoughts instead.

Funny all these states jumping on the godless left bandwagon suing the People of the United States over President Trumps travel restriction executive order. The man ran on doing that. The man said time and time again he was going to do that. The man got elected in part because he said he was going to do that. So what does the godless left not understand about it? Seems like obama did executive order after executive order, mostly unlawful and unconstitutional unlike this one and they just stood around and said nothing. Bunch of hypocrites.

So newly appointed HUD Secretary Dr. Ben Carson says in a speech that slaves were immigrants. He said this:

"There were other immigrants who came here in the bottom of slave ships, worked even longer, even harder for less. But they too had a dream that one day their sons, daughters, grandsons, granddaughters, great-grandsons, great-granddaughters, might pursue prosperity and happiness in this land.”

Of course the outcry was immediate, profane and completely unhinged. The response from the left was nuts. Every Hollywood apparachik chimed in with their worthless opinion. Why, it was the single most insulting, uninformed, ignorant and racist thing anybody has said since the last thing anybody said to hear them tell it.

barack hussein obama speaking in Dec, 2015:

“Certainly, it wasn’t easy for those of African heritage who had not come here voluntarily and yet in their own way were immigrants themselves,”

“There was discrimination and hardship and poverty. But, like you, they no doubt found inspiration in all those who had come before them. And they were able to muster faith that, here in America, they might build a better life and give their children something more.”

Where was the outrage? Where was Samuel Jackson cursing at him? Where was Whoopie Cushion Goldberg falling on her fainting couch from the outrage?

Bunch of hypocrites.

So anyway. It's Friday. Here's a little something from my favorite Christian performer, David Crowder. Give it a listen.

  1. I wondered if you were going to bring up the context in that Carson remark. As you can see from the last couple of days on FaceBook, the Dems have apparently had no idea what he was driving at with that remark. But hey, a bunch of them probably WOULD (and maybe HAVE) rather have Whoopie perform brain surgery on them than Carson. It would explain a lot.

Jim, you've GOTTA learn to be a little less restrained, know what I mean?

  2. The only time the lefties understand context is when one of them says something stupid and they spend a bunch of energy explaining how it was taken out of context. Otherwise, they have no comprehension of what that means. And they don't even understand it when use that phrase. They are just repeating a phrase they heard somebody else say.

That's basically what they do. They hear something and decide whether to be outraged or not based on the political affiliation of whoever said it. Then they wait for some Hollywood apparachik to say something so they know what to repeat endlessly until the next outrage.

Must be pretty boring to let other people do your thinking for you like the godless left does.

  4. At first I scratched my head at his comments too until I thought about it. When people are going through extreme hardships, cruelty etc what do most do? They get into their spiritual side as a coping mechanism...therein lies a dream of hope, better days and prayers for a way out of their torment. Hard to imagine a more demeaning and destructive situation than being rounded up, put into chains and herded onto a slave ship bound for distant ports...not to mention the living conditions on those boats.

    2. I use to tell all those young folks to not smoke that stuff along the rail road tracks.I would tell them that the R R sprayed that k pot. Then they would look at me with some far away dumb founded look and I would say "See thats just what I was trying to tell you" And they would never get it. But I am sure that most of the libs have smoked K Pot from the RR tracks from the way they act.

In the meantime...went over to Durden at zerohedge and he isnt talking about market conditions...instead his headline was about Marines being deployed to racca syria...ground artillery...to fight isis and take back racca. Further into his piece I read that Rangers also deployed.
I am really bothered by this. Mission said to be temporary but where have we heard that one before?

  17. Quiet around here...tried to post earlier but tower issues with the internet I guess. Problems last night too.
Looks as though the freedom caucus is holding to their position against what is looking more and more like rinocare...they have both houses so whats the deal? I suspect more cloakroom shenanigans with k street insurance lobbies drug lobbies and of course dems...Ryan fell into the rino basket and old turtlehead has always been in it.
Louie Gohmert called that bill "horse excrement" the other day and commented on fox earlier that this "cant get reconciliation" nonsense is blowing smoke as usual (my read on what he said). A debate worth watching for sure.

  27. Hey All! Was over on the Urinal last night and read Glenda's latest "poor us" article.
She was talking about "White Privilege" and said talked about how many of the people she knew talked about how white privilege had affected them. So, I simply asked her to give some examples of what they had discussed, since she did not give any. Of course then, our friend Bart Ross (yeah right!) came on to tell me how I experienced white privilege everyday. Won't get in to all of the article. Yoru can probably pull it up if you want to. Anyway, I decided to tell Bart about how I had been so privileged all of my life. Not a horrific story, by any means and I have had the support of a great family my whole life. My point was that their "white privilege" thing does not hold a lot of water, then or now! For those that want to, I copied and pasted below what I wrote. I'm sure many of you had life experiences that makes mine sound like I was privileged. Maybe I was, but it was because of hard work!

Well Bart, let's just talk about my "white privilege"! I grew up on a farm and worked from the time I was about 9 or 10. We used an "out house"(do you even know what that is?) until I was 16 years old! I went to school for the first 6 years in a country school with a total of 12 kids, in 8 grades, all in one school and one teacher.
We finally moved to "town" and actually had a bathroom in our house, when I was 16 years old..
I worked every summer, and earned money, which I used to pay for college. Started out in Community College, got an AA degree. Went on and got a BS degree. Got a job that paid me $600 a month after college. Been laid off from jobs at least 5 times during my working career, and took whatever job that I could during those times, including working in a Foundry (Disgustingly dirty job!), did more farm work, drove a taxi cab in Junction City, sold Fuller Brush products,
Went back to school, while I was working full time, and got another BS degree, going to school at night. In the mean-time helped my wife raise 2 great kids.
Some "privileged" life, huh Bart? But, you know it has been a great life, because I worked for everything I have, and I am proud of what I have accomplished. Never blamed anyone else for the problems that came up. I just dealt with them! So, it has been a privilege to live the life I have!
