Third Annual Room 235 Summit and Bullshit Session is a Go...

Quote of the day:

"Your vision of this country is terrifying"--- Ash McGonigal

Just heard back from Ron Lessman and we're good to go for another evening of fun, bullshitting, shooting, eating, and a whole lot of whatever else comes up.

Where: Lessman's World Famous Truckhenge Art Park.

When:  Saturday May 27th.

Time:   Flexible as you can get.

Like always, Sarge and I will be there most of the day.

Between now and then you guys talk about it among yourselves and we can get together whenever you want.

And like always you're free to stay as late as you want.

There's plenty of room to pitch a tent and I'll have my trailer there and can sleep up to 4 or 5 people comfortably. 10 or 12 not so comfortably.

Again this year Sarge will be providing most of the meat and I'm sure he'll provide us with a list of what he plans to bring.

We'll provide the plates, plastic silverware, paper towels, trash bags, bottled water, ice, grill, and so on.

The rest of you feel free to bring a side dish, desert, and or the beverage of your choice.

Like always, my kids and grand kids will be there.

And like last year, we'll have a separate shooting range set up so feel free to bring along as many guns and ammo as you want.

I'll provide all the clays we could possibly need so don't worry about that.

I'm not even going to bring this up over on that other website.

I tried the whole "Building Bridges" with the libtards and staff thing and had it shoved in my face.

Not going to happen again.

However there are a few people over there we'll need to reach out to.

Contra, Mike Hasselkamp, Kala, Texas Rose, and Dennis Beckman all come to mind and if someone happens to mention our gathering to them it's fine with me.

I can email Contra and will contact Kala, Texas Rose, and Dennis through Facebook.

I want you guys to feel free to bring your kids and grand kids and invite anybody else you think might enjoy our little gathering.

The more the merrier.

And like always all we ask is that, if you're able, to drop $10 or $20 into the jar to help Sarge and I cover the $200 cost of renting the space from the Lessman's.

Other than that, most of you all know the drill and pretty much know what to expect.

See you at Truckhenge on May 27th...

Kevin McGinty

  8. Good morning! I just read the blog about the little gathering. I know for I will not be able to attend. I will be driving to Remer, MN for a "gals" retreat. I'll fly to KC on May 16th and drive with a friend up to the cabin in the woods. Not looking forward to the eleven and a half hour drive, but looking forward to staying in a beautiful cabin on eleven acres in the woods. Will be gone until the first week in June.

I know y'all will have a great time! I'll keep in touch via reading the blog and I look forward to hearing all about the 2017 Annual Beer Summit.

Why do you have "prescribed burns" associations? When do YOU burn it all off? Are YOU 'polluting" someone else's air? Maybe those southward breezes are blowing YOUR smoke into Kansas?

    Good grief.

  17. Folks, I'm watching this story closely about the Fresno State University Professor...... This morning in the Fresno Bee:
    _____
    http://www.fresnobee.com/news/local/education/article144541754.html
"Fresno State cancels lecturer’s classes next week after anti-Trump Tweets"

"The Fresno State lecturer who is being investigated by the Secret Service after posting to Twitter about President Donald Trump will not be teaching his regular classes next week.

On Thursday, Fresno State officials told students of Lars Maiskchak – who has taught history courses at the university since 2006 – that classes scheduled for Monday and Tuesday have been canceled “in an effort to minimize disruption and ensure campus safety.”

The cancellations affect 213 students. The university says students will know more about the future of those courses on Tuesday.

Maischak made national headlines for posting to Twitter that “to save American democracy, Trump must hang. The sooner and the higher, the better.” Past Tweets of Maischak’s have since been criticized, including one that depicts a picture of a bullet and says one “administered straight to the cranium” is the cure for racism.

Maischak has apologized, deleted his Twitter account and said that he does not condone violence against the president.

The U.S. Secret Service investigates any threats made toward the president, which is considered a felony.

Fresno State President Joseph Castro said Wednesday that the university will continue to cooperate with federal investigators concerning Maischak’s Tweets.

Castro has said he cannot comment on personnel matters, but that the university is reviewing the situation."
    ______

Odd that I haven't seen anything on this on CBS, NBC, and ABC....(unless I'm not looking closely enough).... I'm not a fan of Fox News, but if it weren't for them, this story would not have come to light, etc. But had this had been against Obama and/or Hillary Clinton or any of the other left winger libtardians...this would have been plastered heavily in the main stream media!!

Making a threat toward the President is serious stuff....

  22. for the blog over at the other site:

...If there are some students who don’t want Chick-fil-A sandwiches…then I suggest they don’t patron the business… They shouldn’t “oppress” other people who want to patron Chick-fil-A because they do have good chicken sandwiches…

    from the Washington Times:
    __
    http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2017/apr/11/students-fear-new-chick-fil-will-create-unsafe-spa/

“Students at Duquesne University are petitioning their school to reconsider a plan to bring Chick-fil-A to campus, arguing the fast-food restaurant’s support for traditional marriage would create an unsafe environment for gay students.”
    __
Misleading comments such as these are designed to mislead, strike unnecessary fear, and is nothing more than an attention getter…

Like I already said…if there are some students who don’t want a Chick-fil-A sandwich then don’t go into the restaurant… but don’t oppress other people who want to patron this restaurant – to do so is a violation of their the civil rights and civil liberties.

    Blaming Chick-fil-A for LGBTQXYZ suicide?

Could be more that the liberals should be blamed, for trying to convince them they can be something that is genetically impossible, just by "thinking" it, or medically/surgically altering?

Could be that those people who were promised it would be so much better if they "became themselves through change" found out "themselves" at the core CAN'T change, get disappointed that they were lied to, and can't understand why normal people don't "accept" that trying to change a biological/genetic truth into a falsehood...maybe the realization that they can't completely undo what God made them...maybe THAT is part of the problem?

Thanks to liberal "science deniers", who deny the fact that nobody on Earth can completely rearrange someone's DNA?

"OH...NO!!! IT'S CHICK-FIL-A! THAT'S WHAT IS CAUSING IT!!! THEY MUST BE STOPPED!!!"

hamburger, Italian Bread Crumbs, diced onion, diced bell pepper, 2 eggs..... bake at 350 covered for about 1 1/2 to 2 hours - then remove the cover so the top of the meatloaf can brown a little..... when it's browned to your liking, cover with one can of diced tomatoes - put back in to warm the tomatoes..... served with mashed taters n' veggie of your choice on the side....

With ground turkey, plain bread crumbs, 2 eggs, diced celery, diced onion, diced bell pepper.....poultry seasonings to your liking, ditto on bake at 350 covered for 1 1/2 to 2 hours, then uncover to brown to your liking, (separate....warm undiluted golden mushroom soup for the sauce)....pour over turkey meatloaf..... serve with mashed taters and a veggie for a side.

on the hamburger meatloaf, the Italian bread crumbs already have a little Italian seasoning with it.

For Easter dinner for tomorrow, hubby n' I are going to do something different....going to have pork pot roast with celery, onions, potatoes and carrots.... taking it over to Hubby's mom's place for dinner so she don't have to cook. It's taken the better part of my 32 years of marriage to hubby to get mom to let us do dinner.... she'll be 91 this summer... still spry, spunky, and happy living in her own home.... she takes herself to the grocery store, etc., but for doc appointments, etc, hubby takes her.

  58. Matt Johnson must go. He is an embarassment to the Topeka Capital-Journal through his rabid and constant anti-Trumpism, full of falsities and childish name-calling of others. As an "editor", even of the Opinion Page, he should show more class and dignity, and much less hyperpartisan venom. One can FEEL the hate, jumping off the page!

Sunday, April 16, 2017: "Matt Johnson: Why would anyone trust Trump on Syria?"

Johnson: "It was an awkward night in Trump’s honeymoon with Vladimir Putin."

Johnson: "...and it just became more hazardous for Russia to be his defender and enabler."

At least one of CJ's own rules violated with those two statements (edited down):

"is defamatory, disparaging, grossly inflammatory, false, misleading, fraudulent, inaccurate, unfair, contains gross exaggeration or unsubstantiated claims.."

Though the alt-left mainstream media (such as the Topeka Capital-Journal) have been trying to push the narrative that Trump 'colluded with the Russians' to 'hack the elections', there has been zero evidence of it. There is PLENTY of evidence, however, of Obama 'colluding' (such as on "Open Mic Night" with Medvedev before Obama's last election), and Hillary 'colluding' in many ways, including the Uranium Deal.

There IS a growing mountain of evidence of both the Hillary campaign and Obama regime tampering with the election (Hillary with Sanders), spying on U.S. citizens and political rivals, and feloniously releasing classified information, and exposing names.

Johnson: "Plus, all the far-right, alt-right, ethno-nationalist, pro-Trump toads are in a snit."

"...but it’s satisfying to see the “God Emperor” illusion shattered for so many credulous dolts all at once."

Those statements violate at least three Capital-Journal "rules", that a person posting could have a post removed, or even kicked off:

"flames" any individual or entity (e.g., sends repeated messages related to another user and/or makes derogatory or offensive comments about another individual)

"contains vulgar, profane, abusive, racist or hateful language or expressions, epithets or slurs, text, photographs or illustrations in poor taste, or attacks of a personal, racial or religious nature."

"is defamatory, threatening, disparaging, grossly inflammatory, false, misleading, fraudulent, inaccurate, unfair, contains gross exaggeration or unsubstantiated claims, violates the privacy rights of any third party, is unreasonably harmful or offensive to any individual, community, association, group or business."

There's much more to object to, in ALL of Johnson's "Weekly Trumpbashing", but I'll leave it there.

A 'professional' news organization would insist that their writers...ESPECIALLY 'editors'...act 'professionally', and not with the innuendo, unproven rhetoric, name-calling, blatant lies and transparently-obvious immature vitriol of which Johnson childishly spews every weekend.

Topeka Capital-Journal should be ashamed to have him on their staff.

But, it's obvious that they aren't.

    3. Ok I am on the wrong one. Forgot about Friday. Guess that is what happens when you have so many days and they all seem to be the same.

  65. Wishing everyone a blessed Easter and remember the godless among us may think they can run Him off but they will NEVER be successful in running Him out of our hearts and minds.
Nor will they stop our prayers...
Yesterday a store clerk wished me a happy and blessed Easter as I was checking out, even using the word "God" in her words...in public and I did the same in return...was a lovely moment.

He is very much risen and alive.

  66. Post not yet pulled...I added one of my own...as to the Johnson column itself I gave up waiting on its comments to pull so posted on Kevin's instead. Likely I'll try again later.
I can go to any other website foreign or domestic and they will generally pull up quickly but not the urinal...and I have to use chrome to get it. Takes forever and a day.
Damn bunch of losers cant even run an efficient site.

  68. Lol...I was...you all know what a skeptic I am and the kind of crap posing as "opinion" by that graduate of Alinsky 101 offends me greatly.
We skeptics generally catch hell from both sides (not here) and Johnson's column spits in the face of...well..Publius.
