Memorial Day Weekend 2017... Against All Enemies Both Foreign and Domestic...

Yeah I know, American's from one of the country to the other are making plans for this weekend.

And our little get together at Truckhenge tomorrow night is no exception.

We'll be celebrating the friendships we've developed over the years, our families, and the freedom that living in the greatest nation the world's even known provides for us.

But we must never, ever lose sight of the fact that it comes at a cost.

Without the sacrifices countless veterans have made over the years none of it would be possible.

Of course I worry about the threats countries like North Korea and Iran pose.

But for the first time in my life I worry as much about the constant threats to our country and way of life from within as I do from some foreign invader.

The left is as much if not more of a threat as any foreign country.

The threat they pose is real, it's relentless, and it never stops.

But the only way the current crop of left-wing domestic terrorists can succeed is for the rest of us to bow down and comply.

I think not...

See you guys tomorrow night out at Truckhenge...

Urinal "Editorial Board" trying to be as "Fake News" as NY Slimes or Washington Compost. Quite an aspiration, huh?

"Editorial: Defending Trump is a mistake"

"Our members of Congress should put the interests of their country over their party"

(Funny they didn't say that the past 8 years when the Dems were trying to steamroll over EVERYTHING, "party-first", huh?!)

"Over the past few weeks, he has behaved in a way that raises serious questions about his ability to lead the country. From the firing of FBI director James Comey to the leak of highly classified information to Russian officials, his erratic decisions have caused severe damage to American credibility and his own administration."

Ummm....he could fire Comey at will, for nothing if he wanted. Comey deserved it. And the leaks? Seditious, treasonous Obama holdovers. Do your homework, CJ.

"After the Department of Justice appointed Robert Mueller as special counsel to investigate the Russian government’s efforts to interfere with the 2016 election, Rep. Roger Marshall released a statement that described the widespread scrutiny of Trump’s Russia connections as a “witch hunt.” He also echoed the president’s toxic rhetoric when he assailed the media: “There’s been a clear slant that has permeated our national political coverage. Half-truths and innuendo have defined the conversation.” He also scolded journalists for what he describes as the “empty accusations and absurd conjecture that have flooded the airwaves.”

"Of course, he doesn’t bother to specify which “half-truths,” “innuendo,” “empty accusations” and “absurd conjecture” he takes issue with – that would require something resembling an argument instead of a volley of hollow accusations."

It IS a "witch hunt". And "specifying which ones" would fill every volume of a giant Encyclodepia Britannica, because the lies and innuendos ARE coming from literally EVERYWHERE, every minute of the day. Including from the Capital-Journal fake news organization!! Like this VERY ARTICLE!

Then, they veer off into the budget proposal, and whine about the "destructive budget cuts". Wonder if any one of CJ's "propaganda staff" have even actually read the proposal?

Wondering if ALL these fake news mouthpieces don't need a good body slam, for being such destructive liars, working against the best interests of the American people?!

Why haven't we seen any of the "breaking news" about Obama's proven unlawful domestic spying, on CJ? Or, any of the other proven nefarious and felonious deeds of the libs (except for in Room 235)?

Why does CJ persist in joining the dishonest "Fake News" gang?

Will they be forced to publish what are sure to be stories of indictments of Hillary and Obama people, once truths are undeniable?

Will CJ eventually issue an apology for their lack of journalistic integrity, and possibly even fire some of the dishonest staff?

    On both counts...I doubt it.

They have no ethics, and no integrity.

    "House adopts K-12 funding":

"...(new bill) would differ because it would earmark additional state dollars to students not performing well enough in reading and math."

Well...let's reward FAILURE, shall we. Why don't we include an incentive to schools to keep scores low, so they can sue the taxpayers (using taxpayer money for BOTH sides) to get activist judges to force taxpayers to pay EVEN MORE?!

AND, around and around we go...swirling down that money hole!😠

  4. Well Sarge, today I still gotta go to Academy Sports to get a couple more boxes of clays and a few more boxes of shotgun shells.

Then I gotta head up to Luke's house to get my shotgun and the flags that were supposed to be in the camper.

And as soon as Linda gets off work we'll both go to the grocery store for a few last minute things.

    Won't be long now...

  5. We can never forget the ultimate sacrifice people have made for this country, and everything it stands for! I always try to keep our lost service members in thoughts and prayers throughout the year, but I always take a few moments on Memorial weekend to stop and think about the sacrifices they and their families have made.

It is quite disheartening to read and listen to the MSM news outlets today, unless you are one of the folks that are smart enough to investigate and research things for yourself. The problem is most parents take no responsibility for their kids and their kids education, and rely on public education system to raise their kids. These kids that are just now coming of voting age have been brain washed and have no clue what they are doing. They don't like hard work, and they expect everything to be handed to them.....just because. The communists have taken over the education system in this country and we are now just seeing their work come to fruition. These poor brain washed useful idiots will believe anything these news outlets spew.

It's a damn shame.....but just means things like this little bunker and Rm 235 on CJ need to stay at the forefront.

I will try to get out to the gathering tomorrow. I'm kinda like SSAH, the wife may force me to go to some kind of flea market.

A couple questions though, just shotguns or any kind of firearms? How big/long is the range?

Sarge, you know you will have to have at least one cold one for me, but more would be very much appreciated!

As far as Trump, I have never seen anyone attacked as he has been. The media is just itching to boot him. We have a president who respects the office and respects the citizens of this country. However, the left just can't stand it. I keep praying that these odd beings will learn what compassion really is, get their acts together and become productive members of society.

Yes, I believe God performs miracles!

  28. Awesome time at the Summit.... Thank you Kevin & Sarge for setting up and rolling out the welcome mat.... cool to see the folks we saw, sorry we missed some who came and gone before we got back after 7pm this evening.

glad that my chocolate cherry upside down cake was a hit.... I'll have to bake up another one for the next summit.

To be different, you can get a yellow cake mix and do the same upside down steps, and use blueberry pie filling at the bottom of the cake pan before you pour the yellow cake batter on top.... the cake comes out with a blueberry glaze - yummy!

We all know how Kevin feels about blueberry (snicker snicker)...

  32. Good morning. I feel it's my duty to warn you all about something.😨 Over at the Urinal, you all know pretty much how much I absolutely detest Matt, the Johnson.

Well, if you stumble across his column of today, it's almost like one of his other schizoid personalities took over!

He still manages a few "cringes", but overall, he is saying how ridiculous it is for everyone to always blame America for all the terrorism, and he even, basically, says back off on Bush, even. It's pretty much just their religious-fanatic ideology causing radical Islamic terrorism.

That was Matt Johnson?! And, I am forced to agree with much of what HE said?!

(More like, he decided to see things a bit more logically, instead of just mired in left-wing hate, actually?!)

    Few things of note:
Kevin could start a fire in the middle of a jungle monsoon, his technique is superb.
    Rikki the cake was awesome!
Pretty neat to see skippey running around like a track star. You can't beat him to the brass on the ground. Dude was on it.
Sarge and Zach were real gentleman, as always. Sarge is doing so well with him, that Zach might have a little more character than Sarge in a few years! 😆
And Sara? Well, she's a polite, smart gal. But I'm sure as hell staying out of range of that swinging right hand, that's for sure!

Hope everyone gets rested up and charged for summer this weekend. Friends and family.
And never forget why we celebrate this weekend. The men and women who wrought and fought so hard to allow me(and you) to have the rights we have today. God bless them. And God bless America!

    Later folks!

  43. I iz here.... g'mornin'.... going to be getting around, pick up hubby's mom later this morning, head out to the cemetery - then going to be at the Overland Station for the Memorial Day festivities this afternoon.

Had some 'Grandma Time' with my grandson yesterday.... he's such a little angel...

EFH, sorry that I missed you... I was there for a little while then left to take care of some stuff and came back with my hubby after he got off work....you were gone by the time I got back .... hoping to meet you at the next gathering of the great minds of Room 235 (smiles).

oh, on the news about the flack President Trump is receiving from the summit.....Merkel said that US and Britain aren't reliable allies ... she needs a swift kick in the ass for that remark. If the other world leaders were so shocked at what President Trump said in his speech, they should be because President Trump told it like it is....those other world leaders need to start stepping up to the plate in the fight against terrorism.

When all is said and done, the Libs and the anti Trump folks will come up empty handed and President Trump will sail right into a second term in office.... what would be really cool is VP Pence makes a Presidential run in 2024 to continue what President Trump is doing.

  44. I see McKenna is over there not thinking through, again.

She says she thinks ALL males and females should serve immediately after high school.

It's a nice, fair idea in theory, but a terrible idea, in practice.

MANY could likely use the discipline, and may break them of their youthful, know-it-all ignorance and stupidity. But...there will definitely be a LOT of them of whom no one else would want to trust to have their backs.

Also, it would further bankrupt this country if EVERY PERSON of high school graduate age (graduate, drop-out, whatever) were to end up with military benefits...like "health care", among other things.

Also, before long, the special honor of having honorably-served will just become..."So what?! EVERYBODY does it!", which WILL actually "make everyone equal".

Oh! I see, now, why Seymour wants it! Lower the bar of "exceptionalism", and we become ever closer to socialism/communism.

How about we keep these holidays "special", and not water down their meaning?

Now, then...if a really urgent NEED to get more people in should (God forbid) appear, THEN we can discuss the best method of filling the ranks?

    ReplyDelete
  45. Nunya, I agree with you 1,000% on not watering down the meaning of holidays. Yesterday at church we had a discussion about what Memorial day really is - honoring THOSE WHO DIED SERVING OUR BELOVED COUNTRY - and not a first of the summer, lets-get-wasted party. While I don't personally know anyone who did die while in the military, I had two great uncles I never met who died in WWII. My grandmother talked about them often and very obviously missed them a lot.

Well, today I read a printed copy of the urinal and I got upset seeing those paid for honor-any-of-your-loved-ones-because-CJ-can-make-a-buck. While I have nothing against honoring loved ones, Memorial Day is not for just anyone. IT'S FOR THOSE WHO HAVE GIVEN THE ULTIMATE SACRIFICE WHILE SERVING THE CITIZENS OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.

It is nothing else. It used to be called Decoration Day because it is a day set aside to decorate the graves of our fallen heroes. Maybe that's partly why people don't understand what this day is about. We have Veterans Day to honor ALL who have served this country. I always did something for my dad on Veterans Day while he was alive. Now I send my niece some money to put flowers on his grave (something she, her husband and three kids do every year, and look forward to).

We need to educate others about this so much more. And we know why some people sit scratching their empty heads wondering what in tarnation went wrong.
