Forget politics, play with a three year old all day

I haven't been posting much last week, or this week probably. My daughter and three year old grandson are visiting from California. And no, we don't talk politics. At All!

I am having more fun than I deserve. This boy entertains me constantly. He calls me Poppy, except when he decides to shorten it to Pop. He loves cars and trains and sandboxes and swimming pools. The little inflatable kind, I don't have a pool.

So I didn't watch five minutes of news last week. And probably won't this week. Frankly, I don't care what's happening in the world right now. All I care about is entertaining this little guy.

You want to forget about all this stuff for a while, get yourself one of these grandchildren.

And you know what? He doesn't care either. If I tried to explain about President Trump or the evil of liberals, he would just laugh at me and want to play with his trucks. And frankly, I like that. Because who cares when you have a bunch of toys to play with and popsicles to eat and dogs to chase and naps to take.

I'll be back full steam when he leaves. A little sadder to have him gone, but refreshed and ready to get back at it.

I know there's a bunch of stuff happening, and it sounds like we are winning the battle for the soul of America. But for a couple weeks, all I care about is this little guy who loves trucks and trains and having Poppy read him books.

So this will be short, and not particularly relevant politically. But that's OK. I hear a little voice upstairs looking for Poppy so I got to go. There's a bunch of trucks waiting for us, and adventures to have.

I'll check in from time to time but unless he's taking a nap, we got business to attend to. Truck and car business.

Stay cool.

“...The younger Mr. Trump said that during the meeting Ms. Vesenlantskaya claimed to have information that “individuals connected to Russia were funding the Democratic National Committee” and supporting Clinton.”

This article is an interesting read. We all know that Mueller is investigating the wrong person – he should be investigating Obama, Clinton, Comey, and Lynch!

  7. Meanwhile: miscellany on our friend Natalia Veselnitskaya's games...
She was representing Prevezon Holdings and opposed to the Magnitsky Act at the time of that meeting. In searching for background on her and connections all I found so far was "to the 'russian mob'" which says pretty much nothing although she's considered powerful in international legal circles.
The Prevezon case was settled in May 2017 for $5.9 million and 11 corporations were involved in this one. Charges were civil money laundering and a civil forfeiture action. Some of these companies owned high-end commercial real estate and luxury residential properties in Manhattan NYC...the southern district of ny, Preet Bharara's former district. Do search for Prevezon Holdings and you will get link to www.justice.gov and the settlement order issued by that court.
As to other things...pure speculation as this could have been democrat game playing; also could have been classic Aleksandr Dugin tactics. His aim is, simply, chaos sowing at every opportunity regardless of any party politics. This is what makes this man so dangerous. He is very much around albeit in the shadows and he is Vladimir Putin's right hand man. I suspect that Putin lets him do his thing with no need to give specific orders...that way, Dugin gets to mess with the west and Putin gets plausible deniability.
Would LOVE to connect those dots and find the Dugin label on one or two...

  8. Baby Charlie gets a 48-hour reprieve from the UK court...parents have evidence to present that their son has a 10% chance as opposed to no chance.
Also two congressmen, Brad Wenstrup R-Ohio and Trent Franks R-Arizona are introducing a bill to grant Charlie permanent status as a US citizen so that he can be brought here for treatment without the hassle of the courts over there.

To anybody who wants a government run single payer health system: especially if you have children, this is what you would face if Charlie were your child...please give thought to what you are wishing for.

  9. From December 9, 1999 – Joy riding dog visits Taco Bell….true story. From the Corvallis Gazette Times, Corvallis, Oregon.

    http://www.gazettetimes.com/news/local/from-the-archives-joy-riding-dog-visits-taco-bell/article_bf19a0b4-3f45-11e2-9803-001a4bcf887a.html

No one will ever know if Mr. Chips really commandeered his owner’s car for a wild ride across Ninth Street in search of chalupas, but Connie Sies will always wonder.

The 77-year-old Corvallis resident stopped at McDonald’s just before 7 last Thursday night to get her Chihuahua, Mr. Chips, some McNuggets. Now she thinks he may have wanted Mexican instead.

Life began to imitate a popular TV commercial when Sies stepped part way out of her car to pay for her order, and her foot slipped off the brake. She made a quick grab for the steering wheel, giving just enough of a twist to send her auto nudging past the car in front. Then it took off without her.

With Mr. Chips in the front seat, the car slipped between a telephone pole and a tree and then rolled across five lanes of traffic and straight into the Taco Bell parking lot. “Honest, I think the Lord was with me because there was no traffic in either direction,” Sies said.

The car tapped into a Jeep and came to a stop.

Tinker Melonuk, the pastor at Northwest Hills Baptist Church, was waiting for his son to bring their dinner out of Taco Bell when a car ran into his Jeep Grand Wagoneer. He looked behind him and saw he’d been rear-ended.

“When I looked, there was nobody in the car,” Melonuk said. “There was nobody standing outside the car. There was nobody anywhere, just this empty car.“
So Melonuk walked back to see what had happened to the driver. But when he looked in the window, all he found was a Chihuahua.

“There’s this dog in the front seat, and the dog is a Chihuahua, and it actually has one paw on the steering wheel,” Melonuk said. “It truly looked like the dog was trying to drive the car.”

Then it dawned on Melonuk that Taco Bell’s ad campaign focused on a talking Chihuahua.

“I’m looking around and I think there’s got to be a camera somewhere,” he said. “I said to myself, if this dog’s mouth moves — I’m getting out of here.”

Meanwhile Sies was waiting for the traffic to clear so she could get across the street and make sure Mr. Chips was all right.

When she finally made it to Taco Bell, Sies found Melonuk laughing. But she wanted to make sure her companion of 15 years wasn’t injured. Mr.Chips was a little upset but very glad to see her.

Just out, President Trump mulls over cancelling congress's summer recess !

I don't blame President Trump one damned bit.... the time lost sitting their butts on the senate floor protesting the Obamacare repeal vote could have been better utilized actually getting work done.....

Our legislature (both house and senate) are an undisciplined group of overpaid rich brats who need to understand why they're there for.....

  18. A lady with guts I love that!

Sara Sanders took NO prisoners, starting out with:

“I’ve been on several campaigns and people call offering information…many of you receive similar calls from people offering information. Don Junior took a very short meeting from which there was absolutely no follow-up.”

There’s your non-troversy , ABC. But Sanders didn’t even stop there, rubbing the media’s bias right in their face with:

“Frankly, something that may make sense is looking at the DNC coordinating opposition research directly with the Ukrainian embassy.”

    She continued:

“This is not an accusation, this is an on the record action that they took…and no one in this room really had a big problem with that.”

BOOM. Then came the final blow:

“The only thing I see inappropriate about the meeting was the people that leaked the information on the meeting after it was voluntarily disclosed.”

I love this lady! She is exactly what we need in the Trump Administration, and she is doing a GREAT job. You won’t even hear about this on the news though- that’s why we gotta get it around the MSM by sharing this 50,000 times!!

  26. Five (5) lessons about the way we treat people

1 - First Important Lesson - Cleaning Lady.

During my second month of college, our professor

Gave us a pop quiz. I was a conscientious student

And had breezed through the questions until I read

    The last one:

"What is the first name of the woman who cleans the school?"

Surely this was some kind of joke. I had seen the

Cleaning woman several times. She was tall,

Dark-haired and in her 50's, but how would I know her name?

I handed in my paper, leaving the last question

Blank. Just before class ended, one student asked if

The last question would count toward our quiz grade.

"Absolutely, " said the professor.. "In your careers,

You will meet many people. All are significant.. They

Deserve your attention and care, even if all you do

    Is smile and say "hello.."

I've never forgotten that lesson.. I also learned her

    Name was Dorothy.

  27. 2. - Second Important Lesson - Pickup in the Rain

One night, at 11:30 p.m., an older African American

Woman was standing on the side of an Alabama highway

Trying to endure a lashing rain storm. Her car had

Broken down and she desperately needed a ride.

Soaking wet, she decided to flag down the next car.

A young white man stopped to help her, generally

Unheard of in those conflict-filled 1960's. The man

Took her to safety, helped her get assistance and

    Put her into a taxicab.

She seemed to be in a big hurry, but wrote down his

Address and thanked him. Seven days went by and a

Knock came on the man's door. To his surprise, a

Giant console color TV was delivered to his home. A

    Special note was attached.

    It read:

"Thank you so much for assisting me on the highway

The other night. The rain drenched not only my

Clothes, but also my spirits. Then you came along.

Because of you, I was able to make it to my dying

Husband's' bedside just before he passed away... God

Bless you for helping me and unselfishly serving

    Others."

    Sincerely,

    Mrs. Nat King Cole.

    ReplyDelete
  28. 3 - Third Important Lesson - Always remember those

    Who serve.

In the days when an ice cream sundae cost much less,

A 10-year-old boy entered a hotel coffee shop and
Sat at a table. A waitress put a glass of water in
    Front of him.

"How much is an ice cream sundae?" he asked.
    "Fifty cents," replied the waitress.

The little boy pulled his hand out of his pocket and
Studied the coins in it. "Well, how much is a plain dish
    of ice cream?" he inquired.

By now more people were waiting for a table and the
    Waitress was growing impatient..

    "Thirty-five cents," she brusquely replied.l
The little boy again counted his coins.

"I'll have the plain ice cream," he said.
The waitress brought the ice cream, put the bill on
The table and walked away The boy finished the ice
Cream, paid the cashier and left. When the waitress
Came back, she began to cry as she wiped down
the Table. There, placed neatly beside the empty dish,

Were two nickels and five pennies..

You see, he couldn't have the sundae, because he had
To have enough left to leave her a tip.

    ReplyDelete
  29. 4 - Fourth Important Lesson. - The obstacle in Our Path.

In ancient times, a King had a boulder placed on a
Roadway. Then he hid himself and watched to see if
Anyone would remove the huge rock. Some of the
King's' wealthiest merchants and courtiers came by
And simply walked around it.. Many loudly blamed the
King for not keeping the roads clear, but none did
Anything about getting the stone out of the way.

Then a peasant came along carrying a load of
Vegetables. Upon approaching the boulder, the
peasant laid down his burden and tried to move the
stone to the side of the road. After much pushing
and straining, he finally succeeded. After the
peasant picked up his load of vegetables, he noticed
a purse lying in the road where the boulder had
been. The purse contained many gold coins and a note
from the King indicating that the gold was for the
person who removed the boulder from the roadway. The
peasant learned what many of us never understand!

Every obstacle presents an opportunity to improve
    our condition.

  30. 5 - Fifth Important Lesson - Giving When it Counts...

Many years ago, when I worked as a volunteer at a
hospital, I got to know a little girl named Liz who
was suffering from a rare & serious disease. Her only
chance of recovery appeared to be a blood
transfusion from her 5-year old brother, who had
miraculously survived the same disease and had
developed the antibodies needed to combat the
illness. The doctor explained the situation to her
little brother, and asked the little boy if he would
be willing to give his blood to his sister.

I saw him hesitate for only a moment before taking a
deep breath and saying, "Yes I'll do it if it will
Save her." As the transfusion progressed, he lay in bed
next to his sister and smiled, as we all did, seeing
the color returning to her cheek. Then his face
grew pale and his smile faded.

He looked up at the doctor and asked with a
trembling voice, "Will I start to die right away"

Being young, the little boy had misunderstood the
doctor; he thought he was going to have to give his
sister all of his blood in order to save her.

We all have choices in life.

Big woop. Meanwhile the major corruption at the top of their food chain goes on.

Did you know this? I can't put his Pic on here but you can look up his name and see him, If you don't remember him.

    Rocky Marciano

When's the last time you heard the name Marciano mentioned on any sports show? If you grew up in the 40’s and 50’s, you listened to most of his fights on radio since they weren't carried on the limited TV of the time and Pay Per View didn’t exist. His fights with Ezzard Charles, a black, were epics. Rocky didn't know about "Rope a Dope." His secret trick was to just put his opponent to sleep in the middle of the ring . . .. 49 wins and no losses.

Since he was white and boxing has been taken over by blacks, he will never be given his due in this PC socially engineered society of the last 60 years or so. Since the Liberal/Progressives control our culture, society, media and sports, Marciano and his record will be buried forever in sports history. He is the only undefeated (49 -0) Heavyweight Champion in the history of boxing. He was also drafted and served in the army.

Just so you know…A lot of people have this title confused. The "Greatest Boxer of All Time" didn't die last year..he died 47 years ago. How did Muhammid Ali get to be considered "The Greatest?" Ali had 5 losses in 61 fights, FIVE! Rocky didn't have 5 losses, he had 0. . .. None! ! He didn't have 37 Knock Outs, he had 43 (88%). He didn't dodge the draft. He wasn't a race baiter and sure as hell didn't convert to Islam. He was a local kid named Rocky Marciano, aka The Brockton Blockbuster.

Don't let the mainstream media idolize false prophets.
When Rocky was once asked on TV if he could've knocked out Ali in his prime, his response was oh so classic!! "I'd be conceited if I said I could've, but I'd be a liar if I said I couldn't".

  40. On that Trump Jr business...although I do believe democrat operatives were behind it, it is troubling nonetheless. I can get that Jr was somewhat naive at the time and pray that he's learned a hard lesson from all of this. But let's not forget that Paul Manafort was also involved. That one is a seasoned political operative, lobbyist and has been around that scene long enough to know better. Why didn't he ring the alarm bells? Obama FBI or not, they should have been notified right away, no excuses. That email talked of the Russian government and helping Sr win the election.
Also Kushner...known liberal, Both he and especially Ivanka were chummy with Clintons prior to the campaign and his Soros dealings speak for themselves.
Apparently neither of these two cautioned Jr about the wisdom of going ahead with that meeting even though nothing came of it. What was their motive?

It's not on CBS or NBC....but it's on ABC so at least there's a mainstream media newslink carrying this story.

The Portland Press Herald (Maine) has a more complete description of the initial threat on President Trump.

  52. Here's what I am hoping. President Trump has said that (unlike his idiot predecessor) he isn't going to telegraph or warn our enemies about what's coming. Which is smart.

I am hoping Sessions and other trusted officials are quietly working behind the scenes, very low profile, and piecing together mountains of evidence to drop on all those seditious assholes connected to Obama, Hillary, DNC, etc.

Maybe he hasn't purged some of the vermin left over from the treasonous Obama administration because he's allowing them to set themselves up and dig themselves deeper into crap, and providing verifiable trails of evidence that clearly links everything?

    And, then....one day BAM!!!

A flood of indictments, firings, arrests...whatever.

Would be very cool to see hundreds of people all perp-walked in DC in one day.

    Yeah...well. Nice to hope, anyway.

I have been hearing more about the talk of doing away with cash to buy stuff or to eat out, before it gets a hold on idiots, think I might say that would be discriminating against the poor people that can't get credit cards, and think about those the Libs say can't afford to get a voters ID, I see another mess coming up. Good Grief.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Yup, Sarge, that crap has been around for awhile now...another thing lame media refuses to talk about. Progressivism advocating for a cashless society...you can bet, too, that the banksters especially big ones seem to support it. Any sort of payment you get (work, pension, handout whatever) would be automatically sent to your bank. People would be limited to what they could take out and denied outright cash withdrawals eventually. Cash would be deemed illegal. Accounts would be subject to bailins to keep govt solvent.
Social security has already done that...no more paper checks in the mail.
I'm opposed to such a plan. As to credit cards, they would do away with the cash withdraw option; debit cards too. Want $20 back for pocket money when you buy groceries? Forget about that...
This is new world order stuff being incrementally forced on our lives whether we like it or not. For "convenience and safety", you see.

John Schindler, Terry Schiavo's brother, on Beck earlier, talking about this.
UK judges are all about this UN Rights of the Child bullcrap; thank God the US did not sign onto that although we,re dangerously close, given that many hospitals in this country now have "ethics committees" (pc for death panels) to decide treatment options or denial of same...removing a family's right to determine the best option for loved ones. God help us.
Schindler's website is lifeandhope.com and he's an advocate of a family's rights on these things...he's been fighting against this insanity since the courts pulled the plug on his sister years back.
Also said that Oregon tried to pass a law declaring spoon feeding a patient as a "medical treatment"...thereby opening a door to deny it. Thankfully that law failed.
But for how long can people fight and win? The insidious nature of how progressives push this stuff is diabolical and couched in terms of "compassion"etc..."wouldn't want to live this way...". A lot of doctors and care providers have in essence replaced God with themselves as final determinant of who lives and dies. Also: money or lack thereof decides, not other treatment options or wishes of patients and family.
This should not be. But how do you convince a government whose congress keeps on voting to fund planned partshood?

  66. Here's some Washington Compost commie lackey's column over at the Urinal defending her"s and other other totally "Fake News" outlets against Trump's truth that they are fake news.

    http://cjonline.com/opinion/columns/2017-07-13/margaret-sullivan-trump-s-media-enemy-war-cry-may-not-be-working

Magpie claims Trump's "war on news" is not working, that he hasn't changed anyone's opinion....though she does admit that "a new report from Pew Research looks devastating for President Donald Trump’s favorite punching bag, the nation’s news media. One might think that the message Trump has been hammering home is really getting through. After all, Pew’s polling clearly shows that a big chunk of the American public buys his message that the press is a negative force in our society."

But, she claims, it's mostly those uneducated right-wingers who are driving those numbers.

"The negative assessments, bad as they are, are simply holding steady. But among some segments of the public, the media is actually looking better than ever. Just who are these crazed iconoclasts?

    1. College graduates. (Positive view of the media, up 23 percent since 2015.)

    2. Those with some college education. (Up 6 percent.)

    3. People over 50 (Up 26 percent.)

That’s not a bad crowd to be popular with."

Well...BRAINWASHED college-educated...we can argue about those indoctrinated-morons not being a bad crowd to be popular with. They seem to be doing a whole lotta violence, threats, vandalism and rioting, these days. But, I digress...those are her people...so of course she doesn't think they are bad.

We "unbrainwashed" college-educated people, though, would rather not association with those filthy anti-American anarchists.

And, if she thinks "people over 50" are getting more trusting of the news...then someone's just buying their info from a shady guy in a van in an alley! ANYONE over 50 that I have heard say anything about news is that they can't be trusted! But,then, I'm not asking mainly those who look like they have some reason to be a Democrat.

"If journalism is to do its job fully, and as the founders intended, it can’t speak primarily to one side of the political aisle. I don’t have the answers to that problem, though I’m planning to explore them."

Let me help you, Magpie. You, your Fake News newspaper, NY Times, CNN, MSNBC and all the OTHER leftist news organizations out there (including the Urinal)...just start reporting "The Truth", instead of your left-slanted, obstructionist lies. THAT'S all you need to "explore", you dim-bulb hypocrite!

Naturally, Ashhole is quick to parrot the ignorance that has been so deeply-ingrained into his non-functioning pea-brain through all his liberal-indoctrination sources.

    http://cjonline.com/opinion/columns/2017-07-13/jeff-glendening-historic-tax-hike-won-t-fix-kansas-spending-problem

"Adding insult to injury, this year’s increase in the marginal tax rates will be retroactive – meaning workers will owe additional taxes on all the income they’ve earned since January 1, 2017.

It didn’t have to be this way. We’ve seen tax cuts work in states like Wisconsin, which slashed nearly $4.8 billion in taxes after Gov. Scott Walker took office in 2011.

Unemployment dropped, incomes went up and tax revenues began to rise. This year, a revenue surplus will allow Wisconsin to eliminate the state portion of the property tax and boost funding for schools by almost $650 million.

A key difference between us and them is that Wisconsin showed a willingness to rein in spending when revenue was tight. Eventually, our own legislators must do the same. Until then, you and I will be left footing the bill."

    Yep. Exactly.

    Up yours, Ashhole.

In another of his masturbatory, irrelevant writings, he presents a confusing, conflicting jumble of nonsense, only to lead to his obligatory Trump-bash hatefest, at the end.

"Johnson" is to "integrity" as "up" is to "down".

Witness THIS vitriolic, idiotic crap, in which he wraps up his jumble of nonsensical insanity:

"Surging populism, nativism and protectionism have severely disfigured politics in the U.S. and Europe. According to the 2017 Edelman Trust Barometer, “The general population’s trust in all four key institutions – business, government, NGOs, and media – has declined broadly.” And the president of the United States is a man who doesn’t understand the basic mechanics of trade, diplomacy or the structure of our alliances. He sneers at NATO, shrugs at the prospect of nuclear proliferation, and embraces autocrats who steal elections and massacre protesters. At a time when Freedom House reports that “2016 marked the 11th consecutive year of decline in global freedom,” we elected an authoritarian president who spits on the media and spurns the institutions that hold him accountable.

There’s no doubt that the liberal international order is still intact, but it isn’t self-perpetuating – a fact we should never forget in the age of Trump."

Does anyone know why Johnson has that "job"? Does anyone wonder why ANYONE would hire a moron like that for ANY job?

  101. The Sensitive Man

A woman meets a man in a bar.

They talk; they connect; they end up leaving together..
They get back to his place,
And as he shows her around his apartment.
She notices that one wall of his bedroom is
Completely filled with soft, sweet, cuddly teddy bears.
There are three shelves in the bedroom,
With hundreds and hundreds of cute,
    Cuddly teddy bears carefully placed
In rows, covering the entire wall!
It was obvious that he had taken
Quite some time to lovingly arrange them
    And she was immediately touched
By the amount of thought he had
    Put into organizing the display.
There were small bears all along
    The bottom shelf,
    Medium-sized bears covering the
    Length of the middle shelf,
    And huge, enormous bears running
All the way along the top shelf.
She found it strange for an
    Obviously masculine guy
To have such a large collection of
    Teddy Bears,
She is quite impressed by his
    Sensitive side.
But doesn't mention this to him.
They share a bottle of wine and
    Continue talking and,
After a while, she finds herself
    Thinking,
'Oh my God! Maybe, this guy
    Could be the one!
Maybe he could be the future
    Father of my children?'
She turns to him and kisses him
    Lightly on the lips
    He responds warmly.
They continue to kiss, the passion builds,
And he romantically lifts her in
His arms and carries her into his bedroom
Where they rip off each other's
Clothes and make hot, steamy love.
She is so overwhelmed that she
    Responds with more passion,
More creativity, more heat than she
    Has ever known.
    After an intense, explosive night
Of raw passion with this sensitive guy,
They are lying there together in
    The afterglow.
    The woman rolls over, gently
Strokes his chest and asks coyly,
    'Well, how was it?'
The guy gently smiles at her,
    Strokes her cheek,
    Looks deeply into her eyes,
    And says:

'Help yourself to any prize from the middle shelf'

It's like the Chinese water torture from those idiots. "Drip.......drip.......drip......". One drop at a time, usually on Friday. That gives the commies at MSM time to write up whatever nonsense they're going to write, compare notes, and spaltter it all over the Sunday morning TV shows like "Deface the Nation", and "Meet the Depressed", which sets things up for the onslaught of weekday "hosts" (liberal nutjobs) to go on the attack.

How much money is all this nonsense costing the taxpayers? Maybe we should start billing anyone making the charges, leaking, and the DNC, itself? Maybe, bill anyone who "reports" and judges "guilty" in the media (before facts are known...and when it turns out to be nothing)?

Just like EVERY other "bombshell" so far, pretty sure this will be just another dud. You'd think they'd realize that the more irrelevant crap they keep going apeshit over, the more idiotic they look, and the more they are destroying their already completely-destroyed reputations?

Oh...they know. But, they don't care. Their main mission at this point in time is to keep that ridiculous "Russia" crap going, detract from the REAL crimes of the Obama/Hillary crime syndicates, obstruct Congress and this President from getting anything done, and do their best to remove Trump from office.

NOTHING else matters. Not to those seditionist, anti-American, treasonous bastards.

I sure hope team Trump, with Sessions and other loyal people, are working quietly behind the scenes, and soon to pull the plug to DRAIN THAT SWAMP!

It would give me no end of joy to see hundreds of deep-staters in cuffs, and indictments for the high crimes and treason of those mobsters in the Obama, Clinton and Democrat criminal enterprises.

  104. Meanwhile...let's play the "Let's Grow Government" game!

    http://cjonline.com/news/local/2017-07-15/governing-bodies-take-matters-involving-utilities-election-office

As is normal for the Pravda-Urinal, they like to intermingle two issues, and be at least neutral about the things that grow government (if not outright supporting them), and be as negative as possible if any republican is involved, like Brownback, or in this case, Kobach. (This one about the Howell stuff, which I actually agree...the guy needs to be brought into account).

Anyway, about the "grow government" part?

"Local governing bodies plan this coming week to consider creating a city of Topeka utilities department..."

"The city’s governing body, consisting of the nine council members and Mayor Larry Wolgast, plans Tuesday to consider establishing a utilities department. City utility operations are now under the direction of the public works department."

"Governing body members plan Tuesday to consider one proposal that would formally create a utilities department consisting of the water distribution, stormwater and water pollution control divisions, and another that would include establishing the responsibilities of that department’s director."

Public works = city utilities! Why do they need a NEW department?! Do they have some buddies they wish to give some high-paying taxpayer-funded jobs to? We need FEWER people living off the private-sector workforce...not MORE!

QUIT "creating departments"! If a NEW "Utilities" department is going to take care of the "public works" of the water distribution, stormwater and water pollution control divisions, then what will the "Public Works" department have to do?

And, you can bet your last dollar (that they'll try to get) that our water bills will spike from this!

Maybe, since the "Public Works" department will have so much less to do, we can get rid of some people from that, and lower the pay of the upper management...y'know..since they'll have so much less to do?

This insane crap never stops, does it?

  105. Betting Kev sleeps in a little, driving all night! Not sure which is worse...driving through western Kansas daytime or nighttime? Not much to see either way!😂 Actually, I prefer day driving. I "zone out" too easily just focusing on the only things I can see in front of me in the headlights.

Hope Kev and fam got to feast on plenty of tasty Rocky Mountain rainbow trout! I miss that. Much tastier, I imagine, than any Lake Shawnee warm-water mud-trout!😀

  106. Not mowing any grass this week, it is going to be in upper 90's all week, to hot to cut grass short, don't want my yard turning into a dust bowl. I just water, water, water. $ $ $'s

  107. Just got done mowing, but left it a little longer. Didn't mow last week. Needed it. Hopefully the mulched clippings, and leaving it a bit longer, will help it survive this next hot week. Just wanted to get it done before it got too hot...dew still on it. Wanted to start at 6 am, but decided not to be an Ashhole, and waited until after 7.😂

  108. My yard is up a bit but it can wait too. Not into the dust bowl either...it doesn't grow much at all during these dry spells.

  109. As to the whole Russia fiasco...I'm just going to see what plays out. The corruption has gone on for so long now that I have little faith that it will ever get cleaned up.

  110. I hate to be the one to tell Digger and Ashhole that they will be 4 years older when Trump runs for a second term. And they will still be spinning their wheels and going no place..

  111. Top of the afternoon, boys and girls.

Just got back inside (where I plan to spend the rest of the day) from watering Linda's plants in the back yard.

It's going to take a while to get used to this heat after wearing a jacket all last week.

Hate the hell out of the fact that vacation is really over but also glad to be home...

  112. Seems the Clinton crime syndicate may have dumped another body along its trail...

"Haiti Official who Exposed the Clinton Foundation is found dead..."

Name is Klaus Eberwein and he used to be director general of evonomic development in Haiti. Found dead of a gunshot wound in Miami and was set to testify on Tuesday. He was facing allegations of fraud and corruption with his agency but he wasn't about to take that fall. Wanted to expose how nearly 90% of those earthquake donations ended up going to "non-Haitian groups". Had also recently said that he feared his life was in danger. Coroner report did not specify where the bullet entered or much of anything else...
Story at zero hedge and shtfplan.com...

Body count now around 33 and more if you check out the dozens of websites on "arkancides"...

  116. And speaking of Chelsea...saw story the other day where she and her publishet Random House are being sued for copyright infringement...seems an author, unknown, had a book idea, publisher denied him then gave the idea to Chelsea...who took it of course...
