It's taken a while.
And to tell you the truth when I started this thing I never even thought about it.
But at the rate we're going we should top a quarter of a million hits on this little Underground Bunker of ours within a week's time.
Not bad for a blog that exists in a vacuum, huh?
Anyway, I think it's kind of a big deal and it calls for a celebration.
And I can't think of a better way to celebrate it than to dedicate today's edition of Room 235 to one of our favorite mods ever.
The one that was always more than willing to do Batshit's bidding for him.

For the past 3 evenings, I have watched a large beautifully-colored bright orange-red Spotted Orb Weaver spinning a web under my outdoor security light. It uses a tree limb about 15' away as it's "tightrope" between the light and the limb, and starts spinning from there. I have no idea how it spanned that 15' in the first place, but it did. So, that single strand is about 7-1/2 feet off the ground. I can walk under it.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, that spider is in hyperdrive as it's creating its web. A web about 16" at its widest part (it's "orb-shaped", hence its name). It also drops a few anchors to the ground, and one to the electrical outlet box below. It takes less than a minute for it to drop down, climb back up, and start more round spinning.
It takes that spider only about 45 minutes of zipping around to finally decide it's good, and crawl to the middle to await its dinner.
Amazing to watch. Of course, the light attracts flying insects, so they're always flying into the web. Some get tangled. Anytime one touches anywhere, the spider makes a lurch towards it. Spidey seems to know when it was just a touch, or a catch. If just a touch, Spidey quickly backs up to await the next one.
Every morning, I get up and look, and the web is completely gone, save that single strand from the tree. No sign it was ever there. Not sure why.
Next evening, starts again.
Kind of reminds me of Democrats. Night after night, they quickly weave a web of lies, and when daylight exposes the lies, and that web is gone...they just come back the next night to build a brand new web of deceit.😉
Who could forget "Chief Censor" at the time, ol' Auntie Em?! Man, was she an uptight piece of work!

Can't say I miss her special brand of intolerance, ignorance of truth and selective vindictiveness. Of course, those are actual requirements to be a full-fledged commie-leftist liberal, so par for the course.

Unshaven and working from home in cargo shorts as he moves into “Bannon the Barbarian” mode, Steve Bannon is thinking bigger than Breitbart.
Axios reports,
Axios’ Jonathan Swan hears Bannon has told friends he sees a massive opening to the right of Fox News, raising the possibility that he’s going to start a network.
Bannon’s friends are speculating about whether it will be a standalone TV network, or online streaming only.
Before his death in May, Roger Ailes had sent word to Bannon that he wanted to start a channel together. Bannon loved the idea: He believes Fox is heading in a squishy, globalist direction as the Murdoch sons assume more power.
Now he has the means, motive and opportunity: His chief financial backer, Long Island hedge fund billionaire Bob Mercer, is ready to invest big in what’s coming next, including a huge overseas expansion of Breitbart News.
On Day 1, Bannon declared he’s taking his West Wing infighting to the outside, telling Bloomberg Business week’s Josh Green that he’s “going to war for Trump against his opponents — on Capitol Hill, in the media, and in corporate America.”
The reality is that Bannon will go nuclear on former colleagues he calls “West Wing Democrats”: economic adviser Gary Cohn, Jared and Ivanka (“Javanka,” as he calls them) and Deputy National Security Adviser Dina Powell.
The revved-up Breitbart operation is also likely to target Speaker Ryan, as it did before Trump.
Recall: Mercers backed Cruz until he dropped...he refused to give in to their demands for vitriol-laced speeches so they along with Conway went to Trump. Cruz' loss of that Mercer money made it impossible for his campaign to go on in its last days.

Richardson has an area that is completely Muslim and they are working on making it their own walled city. Sometimes I end up in that area and I am definitely an outsider. Everyone I have met that lives in that area are polite to me but that area could be a powder keg ready to explode. There is definitely muslim brotherhood enclaves in the area.
