The winning just keeps coming...

I knew early Monday morning this was going to be a good week but, damn, I didn't know it was going to be this good.

Let me explain.

After finally getting my truck loaded last Saturday morning I stupidly headed out for Lawrence with my trusty old coffee mug sitting on the back bumper.

I realized what I'd done and pulled over at the Hardee's on the Turnpike hoping it was still there.

It wasn't and I thought for sure it was gone for good this time.

And to tell you the truth I was pretty bummed out about it.

Anyway, I got to work Monday morning and there it was sitting on the back of my truck with a post it note stuck to it saying, "You're welcome."

One of the guys I work with pulled out right behind me that morning saw it fall off the bumper as I was pulling away from the dock so he stopped and picked it up.

It made my day.

But the winning didn't stop there.

I received an email from a trusted friend Tuesday morning and the week just for better.

You guys all remember Little Matty the Johnson, right?

You know, the dedicated Trump hater that took control of cjonline's opinion page.

The left-wing loon that pumped out one hate filled editorial after another.

The asshole that was behind killing the Community Blogs which silenced our voices over there.

Yeah, that guy.

Evidently the new owners of The Capital-Journal finally got fed up losing subscribers, advertisers, and revenue and finally fired his ass.

And from the way I hear it other big changes are on the way.

But until it's official I'll just leave it right there.

Screw you Matt Johnson.

You got exactly what you deserved.

Maybe there's hope for that rag after all...

    1. I ve never seen a place like CJ that was so bound and determined to make their voice and idea's the law of the land. They remind me of how it must be in countries where the government or the rulers run the speech, and the media like CJ dies. The thing that CJ and these countries is that sooner or later some of the people or all of the people will take their freedom back sooner or later. How they do it depends on the leaders of these places. So to the people on that paper that tried their best to run free speech for others all I can tell you is That What Goes Around Comes Right Back Around. If we had all the people that they booted off lined up its pretty evident that CJ and their merry little band of losers wouldn't last very long.

  14. Hi Kevin,

Curious, what more changes is cj going to have and will they bring back community blogging??

    ReplyDelete
  15. Well, from the way I hear it a new more user friendly website is in the works as well as a new format in the print edition. As far as community blogs go, I have no idea...

  16. I am happy to hear about Matty. But more happy to hear about the return of your coffee cup, Kevin.

I remember visiting my parents back in the early 80's and reading the CJ. I made a comment to my dad that the paper was only about 7 pages and it wasn't worth the price. He agreed, but continued the subscription. And the price increased. I am surprised the CJ has been around this long.

  21. The liberal bastian Apple Inc. taking advantage of tax system and investing in America. That's a win for Trump.

Movie attendance at 24 year low. America rejecting the pedo-libs of hollyweird. American taking it to them, and another win.

I could go on and on, but I have to get to work. Because the economy and the sector I exist in is boooommmming!!!!
    Winning!

    Winning will never get old.

Too bad batshit, isn't it? You still got at least seven years left. Better join the reveloution.

  23. Here in the states, the First Amendment has so far allowed old-fashioned American loudmouths to fight the system whenever they could find ways around our monolithic corporate media. But the Empire of Lies is quick to strike back. Google/YouTube now stands charged by multiple accusers of singling out conservative voices for censorship, “fact-checking,” and demonetization. Hidden-camera videos released by Project Veritas this week show Twitter employees conspiring to “shadow ban” conservatives on their system. On campus, intelligent conservative speakers of good will like Ben Shapiro, Charles Murray, and Cristina Hoff-Somers have faced violent protests meant to shut them up.

No person of importance on the right seeks to silence anyone on the left. The Left, on the other hand, is broadly committed to ostracizing, blacklisting, and even criminalizing right-wing speech.

  27. Way off topic, I think I am dumping Cox TV, they just keep raising prices. Already dumped their phone, but will keep internet. I had Dish TV for years and no problems, but moved closer to civilization and got Cox. I don't mind a dish hanging out there, we are on over 5 acres, have them stick it in the ground somewhere, shouldn't be an eye sore?
They have a lock in price for 2 years that is decent, then when they raise it after 2 years I will dump them.
Anyone have any bad experiences with Dish? I was planning on going in and using Sky-Com on Wanamaker to sign up. He is giving same price as going through internet sign up and I like face to face better than internet.

    1. How did you dump phone and keep internet, I tried that but I would have to go and buy my own modem to do that? Is that what you did?

    2. I plan on keeping the internet, just want to dump the TV. I dumped the phone about 6 weeks ago and have Vonage. So far Vonage has been good, not sure why to have a home phone, we each have cell phones.

    1. I don't watch much, but maybe 15 minutes of news a day. For backup I have an old rabbit ear and I get 25 channels. However Mrs Dive has a bunch of cooking shows and HGTV that she loves to watch, so might as well spend some dollars. I am waaaay up on a hill and it must help pull in stations with rabbit ears, they are not even digital, yet I get one series of stations from K.C.

  29. I am on my third year of Dish. Had direct before and it just kept going up and up so I dumped them.
I just had a go round with Dish and I think they all are the same My receiver went out according to them??? So I bite the bullet and say ok now what? They want $95 for some so called tech to come out and tell me the receiver is out of date and I need a new one. But I can get the insurance for $8. That afternoon I call back and they will send a tech out and I can get the insurance for $12. I ask why? They say this was the total with tax. Ok send the tech. Oh that will be a extra $10 besides the new price every month of $12 So now my bill has gone up $22 and the $12 will continue. Just because the receiver went old on the third year. Also the new receiver doesn't even have all the features the old one did.
The old one had a local weather channel built in for my city. So call the customer service up and ask why I cant get my weather on like the old one? They tell me I have to have internet and want me to buy internet. I tell them I got internet and why in hell do I have to hook up my tv to internet to get their weather if I can get it on the internet. So right after I told her where to stick it and have a nice day I slammed the phone down. My story
SO NO I will drop them in another year. There is getting to be better ways and cheaper ways to get tv. and by then there should be a better and cheaper way to do it.

    1. My bill to Cox is 263 for everything I have, 3 computers, 5 TV's, Phone and internet, I can it for less if I give up TV.

    2. There prices are all over, I was (that is was) getting Advance TV (3 tv one with DVR), there best phone service and mid range internet for around $136.00. Every year they would raise it up and I called, visited, bitched and always got it back down. The lady that did it here in Topeka lost her job and they said at the store it was because of what she was doing. She would move service from me to my wife as a new customer and get great prices. Then next year move service back to me as a new customer and get the great prices for new customer. Back and forth like that. Now Cox had to know that was happening, address and phone number didn't change. Only the last digit on customer number changed, it went up one digit each year. So I don't really think that is why she isn't at Cox store anymore and it is something they can do, but won't do it for me now. However they did it for 3 years. There prices are all over the place, even with what I had it went to $190.

  30. I was just taking a look at the new Urinal lay-out. Am not sure whether it is any better or not. It is already better if Matty is gone!
Apparently, for those of you who care, you can now look at it for a while before you have to pay to read it.
They have commenets sections, but apparently did not carry over the comments that were already on the articles and letters before the change. That is a shame, because I had such great come-backs on Ash-hole's comments! :)
Anyway, we will see if there is any real change going on over there eventually, I guess!

  31. I don’t know exactly what Trump said in a closed-door meeting with senators at the White House this week. Unnamed sources say that he referred to some African countries and Haiti as “shitholes.” Maybe so; sounds like him. In any case, when it comes to a chance to attack Trump, our journalists don’t waste time with fact-gathering or source-identifying. Like Madonna, they just strike a pose. Various media knuckleheads have reacted to the alleged comment by calling Trump “racist,” “Nazi,” “Evil,” and a “terrorist sympathizer.”

(Personally, my first thought on hearing about the remark was: “What squirrely little tattle-tale of a weasel went running to the press with that?” But never mind. That’s just me.)

  32. Sarge I think it might have been the Lindsey-Dicky Duo...heard on one of the talkers that Trump gave them a bverbal smackdown when they went to him with that ljoke of a plan of theirs last thursday..."said he'd sign anything they brought him"...but these jackwagons left out the framework he wanted: the wall money, no chains, no lotteries and so on. They thought they could schmooze and flatter him after that open meeting and it backfired...so, now, we have a butthurt Lindsey-Dicky..
    Truth is, Trump exposed them.

  33. As for the urinal, I got it on my facebook without getting the boot this morning, left a few aromatic calling cards on liberal commentary...saw Lunn with a diatribe on a westar article. He could have written the same spiel word for word 5 years ago...all about the oligarchy and plutarchs...guess that makes him think he sounds intelligent...

  34. Went to Lawrence today, lots of strange people there. Well be heading off to Burlingame in a bit, there they have normal people.

  35. Let’s state the obvious. Some countries are shitholes. To claim that this is racist is racist. They are not shitholes because of the color of the populace but because of bad ideas, corrupt governance, false religion, and broken culture. Further, most of the problems in these countries are generated at the top. Plenty of rank-and-file immigrants from such ruined venues ultimately make good Americans—witness those who came from 1840s potato-famine Ireland, a shithole if ever there was one! It takes caution and skill to separate the good from the bad.

For these very reasons, absurd immigration procedures like chain migration, lotteries, and unvetted entries are deeply destructive. They can lead to the sort of poor choices that create a Rotherham. Trump’s suggestions—to vet immigrants for pro-American ideas and skills that will help our country—are smart and reasonable and would clearly make the system better if implemented.

So, when it comes to the Great Shithole Controversy of 2018, my feeling is: I do not care, not even a little. I’m sorry that it takes someone like Trump to break the spell of silence the Left is forever weaving around us. I wish a man like Ronald Reagan would come along and accomplish the same thing with more wit and grace. But that was another culture. History deals the cards it deals; we just play them. Trump is what we’ve got.

  36. Looks like this FISA crap may be worse than thought. Remember this has been going on a long time, all 8 years of obama. Then here is what the Demons said:

The vote Thursday morning on releasing the memo to lawmakers was along party lines, with Democrats voting against making it available for all members.

Seems the Demons are hiding something that they don't even want other law makers to see.

  37. Yes...Watching last night on Hannity, Ingel, and Tucker, it looks like the shit is really going to start hitting the fan with the "Real Russia Scandal" It is getting deeper and deeper, and closer and closer to Obama, Clinton, Rosenstein, Comey, McCabe, and those two idiots having the affair. They are saying jobs may or should be lost, some should have been fired long ago, criminal acts and possible jail time for many! We will see! The Dems of course are resisting having the information made public, as the Repubs are wanting to do! Rosenstein was in pleading with Paul Ryan not to let it go public! I knew from the beginning that he was/is a rat! Don't know why Trump supported him and why Sessions did not get rid of him right at first! Anyway, it is starting to get good! I can't wait to hear the excuses from the loyal Liberal whiners on the Urinal! LOL!
