John McCain. Sad end to a very public life

John McCain is dying. I think pretty much everybody knows that. Brain cancer.

But he's still sucking up the spotlight with his hate filled pronouncements. He has a chance to end a long career in public service with some dignity, but he has chosen to take the low road. That's a shame.

He served his country. He was a prisoner of the Viet Cong and suffered mightily at their hands. You can't help but wonder how much that torture affected him in the long term, possibly to this day, causing poor decisions that have hurt our country.

John McCain ran for President against the Kenyan. And lost. He ran a poor campaign, made some terrible decisions. He suspended his campaign when the banking crisis hit which may have sounded like a good idea to him, but turned out to be a massive mistake. There was nothing to warrant him doing that, and he looked foolish to the American people. The Kenyan did not follow his lead, and exploited his mistake.

He also did not challenge the Kenyan when he lied openly during debates. He did not exploit the Kenyans radical leftist ties to domestic terrorists, Islamic terrorists, racists, Marxists and self admitted Communists. This was the most powerful attack point available and it was ignored. So we got eight years of a Marxist radical left wing Kenyan born president.

Now, in his final chance to leave a legacy he has chosen to use his position to try to undermine our President. Maybe over an insulting comment made during the campaign. Nobody knows except him what drives his pathological hatred. I suspect at heart he is actually more a liberal than a conservative, and this situation allows him to let his liberal side out.

His vote was the one that kept us from repealing and replacing the abomination known as obamacare. One vote, his. And he campaigned for his Senate seat on repealing obamacare. But because Donald Trump was President, and it was his initiative, he voted no. Just to spite the President.

I'm sorry he is dying. I'm more sorry he is choosing to die a bitter angry old man and miss the chance to right some wrongs from his past.

Maybe there's a lesson for all of us here. Don't burn bridges. Don't hold hatred in your heart. Say you're sorry for your mistakes. Own your past and fix what you can. All of us have stuff we regret. You can't change the past, but you can change the future.

So I wish John McCain well. He served his country and paid a heavy price for it. And for that I thank him. But I also wish he hadn't done some of the things he has done in recent years.

  1. Well after he fades away there will be some unpleasant things say that most people don't know about him and they will come out. He isn't the man that he was made into... Just Saying.

  2. The funny thing is when he ran for President the godless left was calling him Hitler and a Nazi. They hated him. They attacked him relentlessly.

But when he became an Anti-Trumper and joined their ranks of trying to destroy America by destroying the President they suddenly loved him. Now he's their hero and if you say anything bad about him they excoriate you.

Just more proof (as if we need more proof) that the godless left had no moral center, no values and no real belief system beyond hating America. If it serves them it's great. If it doesn't it's horrible. And it can flip back and forth depending on how the wind blows.

    Hypocrites, through and through.

  3. Well done, my friend.

This is kind of a delicate topic and you've done it as well as could be expected.

  4. I was never a real big fan of John McCain. Seems that I have heard a lot of stories, that if some are true, then he is not what he has projected himself to be, over the years. His time in the VC prisoner of war camps is something that I would have wished on no one, but it was a price paid by many, and how that time was spent by him, does have some questionable actions attached to it. To me, his is not a conservative voice, is a "Never Trumper", and possibly attached himself to the Republican Party for a more favorable outcome in his runs for elected office. I think his "Maverick" nickname allowed his more discretion in how he voted, many times leaning more Liberal than Conservative, IMO.
He ran a disaster of a Presidential Campaign, and I don't think he really had the intention or desire to really win it.
As Safe says, the Left is now fawning all over him, since he shows his hate for Trump, so I don't give a ZIP for him and his political opinions! Be that as it may, it is what it.

  5. He lost the election because he lacked the balls to do what it would have taken to beat Obama.

He was terrified of what the media would call him.

And he just an all lousy candidate.

    I'm a Maverick!

  6. Never Take Them for Granted

"The more you sweat in peace, the less you bleed in war."

    Mark Alexander

"When we assumed the Soldier, we did not lay aside the Citizen; and we shall most sincerely rejoice with you in the happy hour when the establishment of American Liberty, upon the most firm and solid foundations shall enable us to return to our Private Stations in the bosom of a free, peaceful and happy Country." —George Washington (1775)

And finally, on this Armed Forces Day, and every day of the year, may God bless our men and women in uniform — Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines and Coastguardsmen — who have stood and continue to stand in harm's way. For their steadfast devotion to duty, honor and country, we, the American people, offer them and their families our humble gratitude and heartfelt thanks. For those who have moved beyond this life, let us, in the words of Gen. George Patton, thank God that such men lived.

  8. Mccain is a mean man. His office staff said he would fly into a rage over really small stuff. Not a person you would want to work for.

  9. You ever notice how often the democrat/communists would have some part of the manifesto they were trying to pass and they would trumpet how they had "bipartisan support" for it?

And what that meant was they had John McCain and probably Lindsay Grahmn?

  10. Another one:

You ever notice how when the godless left finds one white person doing something racist it's an indictment of every white person and absolute proof of "white privilege" and proof that President Trump is a racist?

But you have black racists such as the black lives terrorist group shouting for the killing of police officer while a couple hundred of them march and suddenly you can't judge a whole group by the actions of a few. Or a muslim terrorist kills a dozen people shouting Ali Snackbar and suddenly we can't judge a whole group of people by the actions of one person?

  11. Here's something interesting from a blog by a fellow named blood thirsty neocon:

"Please tell me if we can stipulate the following assertions:

1.John McCain leveraged his heroism and sacrifice into decades of fame, power, adulation, and fortune.

2.John McCain, for decades, has made a regular practice of going out of his way to smite his enemies, primarily in his own party (i.e., people who Ricochetti generally agree with, respect, and/or like).

3.McCain has continued that regular practice in his dying days, even going so far as to settle scores with his enemies in his own party. We get it, sir, you don’t like us very much. Point taken.

4.McCain generally held his fire against then-Senator Barack Obama in the 2008 general election campaign, even going so far as to denounce Republicans who ran ads about Obama’s extreme anti-American pastor Rev. Jeremiah Wright.

5.McCain voted against the Bush tax cut; co-sponsored the unconstitutional campaign finance reform bill; supported immigration amnesty; and killed Republicans’ last chance at Obamacare repeal.

To the extent that we can stipulate these assertions as facts, I hereby free the right from the obligation to praise John McCain. I further free the right from their vow of silence over McCain’s history of abusing anyone and everyone on the right who disagrees with him. John McCain has been amply compensated for his honorable military service during the Vietnam War. The right has paid its debt to him. We’re even."

    Interesting perspective.

  12. Going back to your earlier point, Safe.

These people will lie, cheat, and misrepresent anything just to further their agenda.

Case in point: Trump specifically called MS 13 members "animals" during a speech in California.

And right on que the media and Hollywood sex perverts and screeching that he called all immigrants animals.

You and I know they're lying but the problem is that millions of others have no idea.

They just absorb what they're told.

    Sad...

  14. “Report on DOJ’s Handling of Clinton Email Probe Nears Release”
‘Subjects of the report have been notified they can review they document and comment on any criticisms’

    https://www.wsj.com/articles/report-nears-release-on-justice-departments-handling-of-probe-into-clinton-email-use-1526495401

Well, the long-awaited probe into Hillary’s email fiasco is nearing its release – according to the Wall Street Journal (among some other media websites). But what gets me is the subtitle of the article where subjects can review the document. I am not too sure of why there is a sneak peek prior to publication…does raise doubts in my mind.

  15. Lol... Stormy the Whore's lawyer now says two more women have suddenly come forward with allegations of hush money.

    I'm shocked!!!

    ReplyDelete
  16. I'll bet that the reason for Stormy and the two other women are coming out probably because Mueller can't indict a sitting President.... ole Mueller can't come to grips with that he doesn't have a case against President Trump.

The dems / anti Trump folks are grasping at empty air in their effort to remove President Trump..... but none of what they're doing will work.

    ReplyDelete
  17. This witch hunt of theirs has taken so many twists and turns that leads to nowhere.

    ReplyDelete
  18. question: when Mueller eventually comes to the end of his fiasco probe.... will he apologize to President Trump and all of America for wasting tax dollars on this junk?

    probably not.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Mueller's bullshit won't end till at least the midterm.
That's the whole point for it IMHO...

    But it won't matter.

It will only galvanize the voting block for a blue wave that ain't happening, and a second term for our president.

And for the record, MS-13 members aren't animals. I reserve quite a bit of respect and humane treatment for animals. For the gang members? Not so much.

Would be quite sporting to observe them through my eotech. Face tattoos provide pre-sighting, and with proper doping the results would be quite effective.

    Again, IMHO of course....
