The Rock...

Just about everybody's house a little something about it that makes it unique.

For some people it might be that room addition they built.

Could be a swimming pool.

Maybe it's a fish pond or a vegetable garden.

Maybe it's a fire pit to kill for.

Well, I have a rock.

It's not just any rock though.

Story has it it was brought here millions of years ago when the earth was recovering from the ice age and the receding glaciers.

It's funny, too. When my wife and I was looking to buy a house all those years ago this rock was one of the first things my kids zeroed in on.

While we were looking around the kids climbed on top of it.

And of course one of them fell off.

I'm reminded of that day all the time as I watch our grand kids climbing it just as their parents did when they were little.

Good times.

So yeah, that rock was here long before I was even thought of and it'll be here long after I'm gone.

You guys enjoy your day...

  3. If that rock was in my yard my wife would want it moved six inches to the right. And she would not accept that I can't do it. That's how my life operates!

  10. So everybody is on board with Cadet Bone Spurs pulling out of negotiations with N. Korea ? Not a surprise. You think this man child isn't damaging our position in the world ??

From the Post a commenter writes ----

"In every way this was a strategic blunder. It should not be seen as a Trump win. Yes, we got back three Americans held hostage, two of which had been apprehended during the Trump term. I think it was in North Korea's interest to do this anyway. But, North Korea got what it wanted. Essentially, guarantees and improved alliances with both China and South Korea. Essentially, America has been edged out of the Pacific and Japan will have to adjust its relationship with China. So, if you add the TPP exit to this, America just lost a huge strategic advantage and can no longer be considered the pre-eminent Pacific power. Ditto on EU and JCPOA. Iran maneuvered deftly and broke the alliance. Good moves Trumpers. Alliances like these are not easy to win back."

Sorry to see that Topeka is still losing population. Not particularly surprised.

    1. Ian, you are totally negative but you can't help yourself on that one, you're just an all around jerk. But hey, with your self inflected dismal outlook on life in general, you can’t be anything else can you?

President Trump was right in cancelling the meeting with N. Korea. But you’ll never grasp the whole picture being that you’re limiting yourself to left wing crapola.

    2. I'd check the foreign press now and then Rikki. Brand America isn't looking too good right now. BTW, I did not write the post above, I merely quoted it. That said, it appears to be the consensus of Post readers. So what IS the "whole picture"?

You overlook the fact that Trump supporters are and always have been in the minority, even as reflected in the vote count. You would think that in a state that suffered horribly as a result of republican economic policies people might start reviewing their political thinking. I post here because virtually all the regulars strongly support Trump. I think his policies will ultimately be bad not just for Kansas, but the entire country. For instance, the tax cut you just got will be phased out for you, but not for the top 1-2%. Sound familiar ? Trump and his cronies are out to make a fast buck. You are way down his list of priorities. If I can convince just one person to rethink their opinions - even without admitting to it, then I'll consider my time well spent.

    3. Keep beating on that drum Ian, you've almost got a little rhythm.

You are suffering delusions of grandeur if you think your croakings of crapola will sway anyone here - we all see through your nonsense.

The truth is that you post here because you enjoy being an irritant who peddles nothing but junk regardless of your effort to post tainted information from websites that quote nothing but junk.

  12. Sorry to see you're still an idiot. President Donald Trump is the master negotiator. This man literally wrote the book on negotiating. Everything he does has a purpose, including this. There are things going on we are not privy to, and only assholes like godless democrat/communists presume to know information they don't know. Too much time watching CNN I assume. That will do it.

People believed obama the Kenyan was an intellectual when he wasn't. He was the beneficiary of lots of dark money from the left putting him through college and affirmative action which got him into schools and positions he was otherwise unqualified for. That and of course claiming his Kenyan birth on college applications which later was covered up for obvious reasons. He was a terrible negotiator because he was not very bright and he is the reason we are in the mess we are now in the foreign policy area.

President Donald Trump is considered by the godless left to be not bright. The democrat/communists have labeled him as such, and the godless left media carries the story forward. In fact he is one of the smartest people on this planet, certainly the smartest President of our modern era.

He is a practitioner of Sun Tzu and the Art of War. He is a master of deception. A man thought to be not smart who is in fact extremely smart has a large advantage over his opponent. Something our fake internet butt doc should understand, as he has probably been victimized many times by people who he wrongly presumed he was smarter than. Like when he shows up around here.

  13. Is everybody aware John Brennan, former head of the CIA appointed by the Kenyan was a member of the American Communist Party? It's a fact. He has admitted it.

Certainly explains his rabid hatred of our President, and his actions to destroy our electoral process and to serve the godless left, corrupting his agency to carry out their devious schemes.

Only the Kenyan would think appointing a member of the Communist Party as head of our spy agency made any kind of sense. Says a lot about both of them, doesn't it?

    ReplyDelete
  14. From CNN, Sept 2016:

"John Brennan on Thursday recalled being asked a standard question for a top security clearance at his early CIA lie detector test: Have you ever worked with or for a group that was dedicated to overthrowing the US?

"I froze," Brennan said during a panel discussion about diversity in the intelligence community at the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation's annual conference. "This was back in 1980, and I thought back to a previous election where I voted, and I voted for the Communist Party candidate,"

He went on to equate it with "the agency still had long strides to make in accepting gay recruits and minorities, even then it recognized the importance of freedom."

So sure, why not. They let sex perverts in. And minorities in. So being a communist should be the same. Freedom and all that, right?

But it looks like my partner has things under control.

  16. Kevin I love the rock. I have already started my research on how huge boulders ended up in Kansas. I have always been fascinated with the formation of the flint hills. Your "rock" was certainly placed there by the great glacier. I wonder how many miles that great rock traveled. It looks like red granite. Before this is all over I may be able to track your rock to some mountain range in Canada. Ha, ha. I have always loved research.

    1. my guess is that when the water pushed the rock to it's present day location..... just a guess on my part.

I saw on PBS a documentary on the Glacial Lake Missoula in Montana. When the ice dam broke, the force of the water reshaped the landscape because the land has ripples. Water is a very powerful force that can cut through and scar rock also.

  21. Good Morning Y'all,
CJ can take a hike - or a flying leap down under.

Talking about old blue - he said yesterday? He said, "If I can convince just one person to rethink their opinions - even without admitting to it, then I'll consider my time well spent."

My reply to him was that I told him he was suffering delusions of grandeur if he thought he could sway anyone here with his croakings of crapola. I also told him that we all see through his nonsense.

I must have pissed him off because he didn't come back!

Onto bright things - hubby n' me are very much looking forward to tomorrow. I'm going to bring some cottage cheese salad. It's a recipe that hubby's mom shared and it's mighty tasty and extremely easy to make.

  22. Well, it is the CJ Urinal after all. It's run by godless liberals, it's a godless left wing mouthpiece functioning as an arm of the democrat/communist party.

Liberals as a rule couldn't pour piss out of a boot if the instructions were on the bottom, so it should be no surprise they can't run a functioning website for what used to be a newspaper.

  23. Well, the godless left media is having a happy day. They are all crowing and screeching like barking seals getting a fish because President Trump called off the summit with little rocket man.

They're as happy as they can be. "No Nobel prize now!!" I heard one particularly disgusting one say.

They would happily rejoice if this deal fell apart putting the world in jeopardy if they thought it would make our President look bad.

But what these pathetic weasels don't understand is the master negotiator is at work here. Everything this President does is carefully thought out. And little rocket man has already backed down and is well on the way to capitulating.

Like I said earlier, many people have paid a price for underestimating this man, President Trump. Whatever he is doing is part of a carefully orchestrated negotiation.

I think these godless liberals hate America and our President so bad they would be happy to see global nuclear war so they could blame him for it just before they incinerated to ash. They could die happy thinking our President was to blame.

These people are beyond crazy. They are internet fake butt doctor crazy. And that's just bad.
