I guess you could consider this an attempt on my part to explain the difference between reality and delusional thinking.
It's pretty much aimed towards our resident internet doctor and the imaginary internet friends he claims to have.

REALITY: The American people elected Donald Trump to become the 45th President of The United States. Period. End of story.
DELUSIONAL THINKING: Believing if you scream it often enough and loud enough this simple fact will go away.

REALITY: Because of the fact that Donald Trump is the President of The United States it's his obligation and constitutional duty to fill openings on the Supreme Court.
DELUSIONAL THINKING: Believing that if you make big enough asses of yourselves or scream Russia, Russia, Russia often and loud enough this simple little fact will cease to exist.
REALITY: Despite the childish antics of your beloved democrat party Judge Brett Kavanaugh will be confirmed and will soon become known as Justice Brett Kavanaugh.
DELUSIONAL THINKING: Believing your side has a chance in hell of changing this simple little fact.
REALITY: The man (President Trump) you and your imaginary internet friends love to mock, ridicule, attack, make fun of, slander, and hate with all your broken little hearts has once again beaten the hell out of you.

The New York Times along with the Wall Street Journal and the Washington Post are among the most highly respected journals in the world. They don’t post op-ed pieces without confirming the source, even if as in this case, the source demands anonymity. You completely fail to address the nightmare going on in the White House. In effect, we have a slow-moving coup d’etat. The author describes a president so ill-suited for the job, so lacking in self-discipline and maturity, and operating with a grammar school understanding of the separation of power outlined in the Constitution, that they have in effect become a shadow executive. Taking documents from his desk so he doesn’t see them ? Seriously ? The scene the author describes sounds eerily like Hitler in the bunker. What next, is Trump going to order Paulus to attack with the Sixth Army ?? We are now being government to an unprecedented degree by an “executive” not elected by anyone. That things have got so bad that the 25th Amendment was, or perhaps still is being considered by this ‘shadow’ executive should cause something more than concern, it should cause panic. The author wrote-
"Given the instability many witnessed, there were early whispers within the cabinet of invoking the 25th Amendment, which would start a complex process for removing the president,” wrote the official, making some news. “But,” the official added, “no one wanted to precipitate a constitutional crisis. Note that – “Until- one way or another – it’s over”. And this is coming from Trump’s inner circle. As Mueller and his team close in on the truth, ( sorry, 5 convictions does not indicate “Delusional Thinking” at all Mr. McGinty), more heads will fall. The House, even Republicans increasingly concede will likely go Democratic. When that happens you will see investigations commence and subpoenas flying like never before. The Senate may very well flip also. Even if the Senate confirms Kavanaugh to the Court, a move that along with the Electoral College selecting Trump as President, will be seen as an illegitimate maneuver aided by an illegitimate addition to the Court. It may prove to be a Pyrrhic Victory- not worth the price. Add to that the revelations coming from the op-ed writer, coupled with the forthcoming Woodward book and the Republican party will find itself seriously discredited. It has become the party of oligarchs and criminals. That they have so damaged Kansas makes your positions that much more bizarre and removed from reality.
Finally, consider what none other than Patrick Buchanan wrote in the American Conservative June 2018 “Stick a Fork in It, the Old GOP Is Dead”.
