Florida democrats already playing the race card? I'm shocked said no one ever...

Hmmm.

Let's see if I have this right.

A far left wing extremist democrat from Florida named Andrew Gillum wins his crazed and deranged party's nomination for governor in a state Donald Trump won in 2016.

So far so good?

Regardless of where you are in this country today, winning any democrat nomination for anything nowadays is really pretty simple.

Offer free everything.

Demonize law enforcement.

Promise to eliminate I.C.E.

Promise to open America's borders to any and all who want to come.

Regardless of whatever question you're asked you absolutely have to work in a way to trash Donald Trump.

You do this well enough and often enough and the lazy, non-thinking, non-knowing masses will bow down at your feet every time.

Am I right?

Of course I am.

So, now that you've won over the ignorant masses who are now fawning all over you and it's time to win over the majority of the population in the upcoming general election, what's you first move?

That's simple.

You have your handlers book you an appearance with Trump Hating, Shepard Smith on Fox News and let him help you make the only play you have.

You play the race card.

The rest of what passes as today's mainstream media will take it from there.

The problem with this strategy is that it's old and worn out.

There was a time when republicans cowered in fear of that dreaded race card being played.

There was a time when they were too afraid to stand up to the media bastards trying to destroy them.

Thanks to President Donald Trump those days are dead and gone.

If it were me advising the Ron DeSantis campaign I'd take full and immediate advantage of the situation with non-stop attacks ads against Andrew Gillum's socialist agenda.

They'd run 24 hours a day on every television station, radio station, newspapers, billboards, and social media platform available.

They'd all point out how stupid and pathetic your claim that using the everyday term of monkeying around is suddenly a racial slur.

Nobody said a word when Obama used it.

The ads would also highlight the hundreds of times those in what passes as today's mainstream media who are trying to destroy you have used the exact same phrase in the past.

I'd end every ad with a simple message.

IF THE FIRST THING YOU THINK OF WHEN HEARING THE WORD "MONKEY" IS A BLACK PERSON MAYBE YOU'RE THE RACIST...

Kevin McGinty

    1. found this interesting editorial in the Chicago Tribune that was published July 9th, 2018.

"Commentary: Democrats have become the party of haters"
      by Desiree Zapata Miller

"In my lifetime I have never seen hate for those who support a president the likes of which I see toward the supporters of President Donald Trump. Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif., is calling on people to publicly harass Trump staffers. Hillary Clinton called us a basket of deplorables, accusing women of supporting Trump only because their husbands told them to. A Virginia restaurant owner and staff refused service to Sarah Huckabee Sanders because she works in the Trump administration. In Charlotte, N.C., City Councilwoman Dimple Ajmera says Trump supporters have no place on the council.

Is this what the Democratic Party has become? A party of haters? Do Democrats condone this behavior? Please tell me it isn’t so! Yet I see few Democrats calling to end the behavior that causes such strife and division.

I must say, however, that these tactics of the far left are not surprising to me. We have their playbook: “Rules for Radicals” by Saul Alinsky. The left has been playing by his rules for decades. Hillary Clinton praised Alinksy in her thesis.

President Barack Obama taught Alinsky’s tactics to grass-roots organizations in Chicago. Alinsky’s fifth rule states: “Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon. It is almost impossible to counterattack ridicule. It infuriates the opposition, who then reacts to your advantage.” The desired immediate outcome is for those who voted for Trump to show fear and retreat.

I assure you that will not happen. We will not fear or retreat, because we have had enough. The Republican Party is emboldened.

Republicans have continually supported and campaigned for dignified, collegial, polite and yes, polished statesmen. Unfortunately, our Democratic opposition has not offered the same dignified approach. Our candidates from George Bush to Mitt Romney and many others since have not been treated with respect or dignity by members of the Democratic political machine or their comrades in the media. Trump isn’t always polite, but he has no choice but to push back hard.

So we have Donald Trump, a true fighter. He has taken off the gloves and applied the very same fighting style against our opponents. He does not put up with lies. He calls people out. We are fighting back in this war of words with the truth, delivering it with the same hard-hitting rhetoric that our opposition has been using for decades.

Is this the party you Democrats want to become? The party of personal attacks and perpetual lies? The party that has delivered 50-plus years of promises to help the little guy, while continually making it worse?

To my Hispanic friends, don’t be fooled by politicians on the left who pretend to care for you. Democrats held both the presidency and the Congress when Obama came into office, yet they did nothing to help you. As he departed, Obama threw you a bone by signing an executive order for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, commonly referred to as DACA. He did nothing to reform immigration, a promise he made repeatedly.

If anyone can fix this immigration mess, it will be Trump, pressuring Congress to work with him.

There was a time when those of us of differing political beliefs and opinions could have a civil conversation, but now many of us don’t even attempt to understand one another. I challenge you to have a cup of coffee with someone who sees things differently than you see them, and seek to understand where he or she is coming from. A little empathy and a little respect will go a long way."

I sincerely hope the opposition succeeds...at current, there is a Federal Lawsuit filed against Obama by those who want to protect the public park.

  14. Send in the clown(s)

Former President Barack Obama, who made waves with a speech in South Africa in which he turned the Nelson Mandela Annual Lecture into a thinly veiled rant against President Donald Trump, is making a(nother) comeback. Obama, who used the July speech to caution "strongman politics are ascending suddenly," and that "those in power seek to undermine every institution or norm that gives democracy meaning," is continuing his roadshow next week when he accepts the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign's Paul H. Douglas Award for Ethics in Government. In an event which will be closed to the general public, Obama is expected to "echo his call to reject the rising strain of authoritarian politics and policies..."

Pardon me while I pull the handbrake on the hypocrisy highway, but when did the University of Illinois turn into a Monty Python sketch? I get that President Pen'n'Phone is an Illinois homeboy, hailing from the "gun-free" paradise of Chicago and that putting a president's face on the flyer certainly helps draw the big-money donors. But giving the Douglas Award for Ethics in Government to a guy like Obama means the Douglas Award for Ethics in Government is really just a participation trophy. The plaque might as well read "To Barack Obama. At least you tried." When it comes to people who embody "ethics in government," Obama ranks right up there with Boss Tweed and Warren Harding.

  16. Rikki asked for a response from me, “Hey Ian.... your input on the Chicago Tribune's editorial?

After all you're one of the DEMONcrat zombies ya know. Don't forget to comment on the truth about the Democratic Party being the party of lies! so here it is. “
Okay, so where to start. Not just the Charlotte Observer op-ed, but ‘DEMONcrat (sic) zombies as well. A tall order.
Mr. McGinty tells us that the best way for Democrats to win elections is to “offer free everything, demonize law enforcement, promise to eliminate I.C.E.
What is most disturbing about what I’ll call “Trumpism”, is that in an unprecedented way it is attempting to discredit the law enforcement agencies that have protected us for generations. I distinguish Trumpism from traditional Republicanism because it has little in common – but that’s an argument for another day. The Justice Department itself is under attack from Trump – from the NY Times, Aug 23, 2018 – “ President Trump blamed the Justice Department on Thursday for the investigations surrounding him, criticized the deal struck with his former lawyer Michael D. Cohen and lashed out at Attorney General Jeff Sessions, who countered with a rare public rebuke of the president.”
Then there’s the FBI. That Atlantic 2018 made this observation: “The partisan shift in views suggests Trump’s and other Republicans’ efforts to cast doubt on the FBI’s professionalism and portray it as a partisan agency have been somewhat successful among their supporters,” Gallup’s RJ Reinhart wrote.”.

So, Mr. McGinty is partially right. There has been a concerted effort to discredit our law enforcement agencies. But that has been orchestrated by Trump himself. And he appears to have good reason to fear those agencies.
So what is Mr. McGinty’s solution ? Book Trump with “Trump hating Shepard Smith on Fox News…”. Oh, please ! Yes, do it !! Trump face real questions from (at least for the joke that is Fox News) a real reporter. That would be a great idea. But he would never subject himself to that. The man doesn’t have a clue what he’s doing. When he is subjected to a question for which he has no plausible or implausible answer for, he folds his arms and pouts.

    ReplyDelete
  17. But that is the M.O. of this buffoon in the White House, and it isn’t going to change. I am posting here because I was asked to. By “Rikki”, regarding an op-ed piece by a Desiree Zapata Miller. Let’s clear up a few things for Rikki first. Ms. Miller is an op-ed writer for the Charlotte Observer. The op-ed was picked up by the Chicago Tribune. The piece did not go over well in Chicago. One writer wrote the following :

“Wow, where has Desiree Zapata Miller been in the last 10 years? In her recent op-ed, she laments the hate directed at her boy, Donald Trump, a man who epitomizes bullying and hate toward anyone that doesn't share his view of being a legend in his own mind. How convenient she forgets eight years of lies and hate directed toward President Barack Obama, most from her supposedly "dignified , collegial, polite" Republican Party. She accuses Democrats of lies, yet praises a man who has been proven to be a pathological liar; it's a rare day when he's caught telling only one. “

And I would add it’s a rare day when he doesn’t attack the institutions created to serve the nation, NOT him.
And Trump’s battles with so many of the institutions that for some reason he feels are not following his dictates is typical of Fascist dictators. Ironic that he seems far more friendly to them, than our allies.

Finally, since I’m on the subject of “Trumpism”, I’ll bring up another issue: economic policy. What Trump is doing is very similar to what Brownback did to Kansas. That experience has gained traction all over the world now. It was an unmitigated disaster. And this bit of information really saddened me. I grew up in a prosperous state. Now it is a state slowly dying. Kansas is ranked #5 among states losing people. Here is the list. The states that are losing people as they move away are almost exclusively in the Northeast or the Rust Belt. The “moving out” states, according to the survey: (source 12/7 Wallstreet)
    1. Illinois
    2. New Jersey
    3. New York
    4. Connecticut
    5. Kansas
    6. Massachusetts
    7. Ohio
    8. Kentucky

    ReplyDelete
  18. Most of the states on the list are heavily populated and extremely expensive. People move because they simply can't afford to live in their home states. Others live in states that have failed to change with the times and have fallen behind.

"What is most disturbing about what I’ll call “Trumpism”, is that in an unprecedented way it is attempting to discredit the law enforcement agencies that have protected us for generations."-Ian
While it is repeated over and over when talking about the actions of the "Upper Tiers" of the FBI and DOJ and how they have politicized their agencies, anyone who is pointing this out always specifies that it is the management levels that have been corrupted, not the rank and file Officers and agents of these organizations. But not our Liberal "Friends"! Are we really supposed to believe that these "Elite, well educated, politically savvy", defenders of the common man, are so stupid as to believe President Trump is talking about "all" of law enforcement? What about the Liberal's attacks on ICE as being "thugs", and the Liberal's attacks on regular Police Officers as being racially motivated against minority law breakers? Those suggestions are including "all" of the officers in each of those groups, not the management of those groups, as is the case with the FBI and DOJ.
What's your take on Brett Kavanaugh, Blue? Is his desire to judge law based on the Constitution, against your principals of "fairness" in law, when it comes to equality of "all" people? Or are you just another one of those Liberals who believe that as long as a Supreme Court Justice or those on the lower courts, have the right to make their own interpretations of what the Constitution is spelling out?
