Pictures from my vacation

Seriously, Safe? No. Not really. But I am in California looking at possible relocation options. So here's what I found. Little community in the mountains a couple hours north of LA. Called Bodfish. Little town of a couple thousand where there a a few little towns built around a lake name of Lake Isabella. Here's a picture of where we are looking at houses, looking down on the town. Houses built all the way up the side of the mountain overlooking the town...

The Kern river runs through the area, which feeds Lake Isabella. They say the Kern isn't deep or wide, but she's a mean piece of water, my friend. According to Merle Haggard anyways.

It's about an hour from Bakersfield. So this may be home. Or not. Depends if California and I can come to terms on a few issues.

So that's it for now. Here's one more picture in support of the poor misunderstood flag protesters.

More dispatches from California later. That's it for now. A cold beer is waiting.

  2. And Safe, I wish the best for you and yours.

    You know that.

I know how important being close to your family is.

We only get one shot in this life and if moving to California makes you happy I say go for it.

Just remember though, it's gonna be one hell of a commute for next year's Summit.

    I'm just saying...

  4. Saw this on the Washington Times and thought I'd search more about it.

Mark Bird, a college professor at College of Southern Nevada shot himself to protest President Trump.

If there ever was a "Dumb Ass" award..... I nominate Mark Bird, of course he is competing with comrade bedpan because the "Dumb Ass" award is also for idiocy.

  5. So he just winged himself. hehehehhehe

  6. Oh, don't fret....Mark Bird only shot himself in the arm and is now up on federal charges....court date soon.

    1. Sounds like he is a bad shot or doesn't know where his head is located.

    2. well at least he didn't take any innocent lives when he pulled his dumb ass stunt.... I guess that is one good thing to say about him.

  7. Ithink his strategy of shooting himself is brilliant and encourage all like minded people to follow his lead...

  8. Hope this becomes a trend, this shooting yourself to protest our President. A few more ideas for them, drinking Drano...jumping off tall buildings...swimming across Lake Perry...sticking your head in a wood chipper. All worthy protests that would certainly contribute to him being removed from office, right? Worth a try so come on you commie liberals out there. Get this movement started. This might be the next big one that turns the trick!

  9. And having the summit here would be a great idea. You saw the picture. We're looking at houses up in the mountains with a view that blows my mind. Quiet. Peaceful. Nice folks all around. No commies allowed. That's Trump country up there. My daughter tells me there are two Californias and that's the one I want to live in, not the one she lives in. Hell, I'll buy the first round at the Kernville Brewery on the other side of the lake, maybe a couple plates of hot wings too. Hammer, they make a pretty decent IPA there. I did have a couple and brought home a growler full to share with my grandson's baby daddy.

    Something to think about. LOL...

    1. There'd have to be a rented bus to haul us all together - we here can split the cost of rental and gasoline and we can decorate the bus with "Look Out Lib Californians....We Deplorables Are Coming to Invade California"

    2. However, a long haul with me and my Wild Mountain Blueberry coffee might grate on Kevin.... lol

  10. Hey...I can see this as like the "Ice Bucket Challenge" of a few years ago, for Liberals! All of those ideas that you had Safe, would make a great challenge for Liberals to protest Trump. Just hope they have their friends video them doing it, because they might not be around to share it with their friends. What better way to show their dis-satisfaction with Trump Making America Great Again!

  17. remember last month 5 adults were arrested in New Mexico, the children there were malnourished, one child dead & buried, and the children were being trained in jihad?

Saw an update to the story in the Albuquerque Journal - a Federal Magistrate Judge ordered all 5 adults arrested and the defense attorney asked that the 5 adults be released to a halfway house.... the Federal Magistrate Judge denied that request.

Good for the Federal Magistrate Judge - these 5 should never have been released by the lower court judges.

  18. The democrats and their lap dogs in the media are hoping for mass casualties and total destruction when that hurricane hits the Carolinas sometime today so they can blame the whole thing on Trump.

Just like Hillary when Hurricane Sandy hit New Orleans....Oh let's wish Bill a happy birthday..... while Donald Trump was there helping the people with his own personal funds.

    2. you mentioning the two Ben Franklins.... made me remember that at one time there was in circulation a $500, $1,000, $5,000 and a $10,000 dollar bills but were discontinued for lack of use.

$500 - had President William McKinley
$1,000 - had President Grover Cleveland
$5,000 - had President James Madison
      the $10,000 - didn't have a President's face, nope...Salmon P. Chase

Wiki has a lot of information on US currency denominations and on Chsse.

  22. LMAO... The dems are so desperate to stop they're to try anything even if it makes them look like a bunch of deranged lunatics.

Delusional and increasingly irrelevant Diane Feinstein introduced a letter from an anonymous source today accusing Kavanaugh of sexual misconduct.

WHEN HE WAS IN FRIGGIN HIGH SCHOOL...

  23. This letter from high school crap is insane. It's not only from high school, but it's a letter from somebody anonymous who heard it from somebody anonymous and wrote crazy Feinstein a letter. And what's truly amazing about this is they expect anybody to take this crap seriously.

We just got rid of a two term president who when he was in high school (in Africa or some such, where he was born by the way) was slinging dope, snorting coke, chasing tail and playing his pimp hand. Oh, but that was just fine, right?

These people have reached a level of insanity that warrants institutionalizing. This is not only crazy, it's dangerous to our Republic and everything we stand for.

  26. Safe, have you heard of the tule fog? Something you might want to check out before you make your decision. It occurs outside of Bakersfield.

    Your location picture is beautiful.

  27. Willie Nelson will be headlining for dem Beto who is running against Cruz. Not good for Cruz. I see a lot of Beto signs around town, very few Cruz signs. I'm keeping an eye on this race. Beto support is rising but he is still behind Cruz. I continue to bash Beto on my facebook but there is not much news on Cruz. I blame Google. Cruz better stay on top of this or he will lose. My husband says Texans will show up and vote for Cruz. I hope he is right.
