It's Showtime Baby!!!

Well guys, everything's been said.

Everything that can be done has been done.

Bazzillions of dollars have been spent.

Lies and been told.

Dirty, filthy political traps have been sprung.

It's all done.

The polls on the east coast closed an hour ago.

They're shutting down as we speak here in the heartland.

The only thing left to do is wait.

Obviously I have no idea how it's going to turn out but you can't deny that thanks to President Trump there's a familiar energy in the air.

Obviously if the republicans do keep the house tonight the democrats have only themselves to blame.

Not the Russians.

Not Fox News.

Not Rush Limbaugh.

Themselves.

Anyway, we have a house full tonight all geared up for an all night election coverage watch party.I'll be dropping in from time to time as circumstances permit and election results are announced.

MAGA BABY!!!

  1. No use letting it drive you nuts, it it what it is. I just hope the repub keep the Senate. Afraid the house is lost and witch Nancy will be screaming impeach, more investigations and making any progress impossible. It was difficult when repubs had both house and Senate, like Obamacare, the wall, immigration reform

  2. DANG. The middle of the country better pull this out. I am surprised with Cruz numbers.

  3. Good news and bad news.

Kobach is running behind that bitch.

    Cruz is trailing in Texas.

But Watson is beating the living crap out of Paul Davis...

  4. What happened to Kansas? I blame CJ for some of this. Very biased.

  5. I'm still giving the repubs an edge.

    Come on Cruz!!!

Guess we’ll see. Hate to see Kansas get a commie Governor but I’m leaving so...

    Patiently waiting.

  15. Leaving Kansas and going to CA Jerry Brown got to be worse

    ReplyDelete
  16. Ham and beans and cornbread. That sounds goos. Were are having Pot Bellies. I've been deep cleaning the house today and I don't feel like cooking. Tacos sound good too. I'm hungry.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Oh, California is definitely worse. I’ll be living up in the mountains where it’s 80% republican. They heat with wood and mind their own business up there.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Well one thing we will know tomorrow morning, is the bottom line, so lets not lose any sleep over it.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Ham and beans simmered three hours. Cast iron skillet corn bread. Wonder what the poor folks are eating tonite?

    ReplyDelete
  20. I like wood heat, for years we heated with nothing but wood and most of the time I had to haul water and dump in cistern.

  21. Cruz has gained a little ground. I really think as the rest of the state comes in he'll be okay...

    ReplyDelete
  22. Harris County, which is Houston will go for Beto.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Yeah I think Houston is pretty much a lost cause...

    ReplyDelete
  24. There may be hope for your state yet Rose. 73% of the vote in and Cruz has pulled ahead...

    ReplyDelete
  25. I sure hope so. Both neighbors have a Beto sign in their yards.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Kansas Gop bit the dust Watkins still has a chance. But it has always been a left leaning state.

  27. They just called the race for Cruz...

    ReplyDelete
  28. Lol... We're on the same page sarge...

    ReplyDelete
  29. Well FOX just gave the house to the libs

    ReplyDelete
  30. Yea Cruz. Now we need AZ to show Rep.

  31. I had to laugh when Karl Rove was on there running his mouth.

Remember how Cats used to call him Doughboy?

    ReplyDelete
  32. Can't understand why you folks in Topeka vote to raise your sales tax- again. When you vote in the new taxes, what they do is eliminate or drastically reduce the normal budget allocations and use it for their feel good projects. They don't actually add to the normal base street allocations that was there prior to the new tax voted.

    ReplyDelete
  33. That's exactly what they do Dive. And we keep voting for it because we're stupid...

    ReplyDelete
  34. Oh yes. I remember Cats calling him Doughboy. What was her real name? I remember you posting it but I have forgotten.

  38. Obviously I'm disappointed about losing the House but I'm not really surprised.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I hope the first thing they do is try to impeach Trump.

It'll blow up in their faces...

    ReplyDelete
  40. It's official.

    McCaskill goes down in flames...

    ReplyDelete
  41. Well, looks like what I expected. The Dems gain a slight majority in the house and the GOP gains a slightly larger majority in the Senate. Happy results for a midterm election, esp considering the constant attacks by the media. Two more years of returning the US court system to sanity.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Now if that old ginsburg would finely retire.

    ReplyDelete
  43. What you're not going to see tomorrow because we lost the House.

You won't see us matching in the streets.
You won't see us burning and turning over cop cars.
    We won't be destroying property.
    We won't be assaulting people.
We won't go running for a safe space.
And our women won't be running around wearing pussy hats.

  50. Well guys we didn't get everything we wanted but all in all it's been a pretty good night.

At least 3 up and coming democrat rock stars went down in flames

    O'Rourke

    Abrams

    And Gillium.

And a special bonus was getting rid of McCaskill in Missouri...

    ReplyDelete
  51. And yes the thought of Laura Kelly as the new governor turns my stomach.

But if you remember Trump did say something about needing Kobach in Washington.

    How's Attorney General Kobach sound?

    ReplyDelete
  52. And with that said I think I'll call it a night...

    ReplyDelete
  53. I said to Carol Kobach will end up in Trumps Cabinet as soon as I seen he lost, but the Dem's have to go thur the Senate.

    And Good morning to all.

    ReplyDelete
  54. But it was nice to see the Dem's couldn't buy all the races.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Well it is true Watkins is better than Davis, but that isn't saying much. He is a liar that embellished his record, he has admitted he is pro choice, but then flipped saying he is not. However his wife is volunteer of the year by Planned Parenthood. Then his daddy gives around 1/2 million to super pacs.

Neither was a good choice, shows how politics are all about who got the most money.

    ReplyDelete

    1. If that was the case Cruz would have lost, Money doesn't always win..

    2. Watkins will vote Republican in the House. Davis would have been a disaster. They all embellish their record, at least Watkins has an interesting record.

But Kansas City electing a gay Indian kick-boxer??? I'll admit that's an interesting background, but WTH?

      Delete
    3. Agree, I voted for Watkins, but wished I had somebody better to choose from that had a chance of winning.

  56. Okay, so what was it about Governor Colyer that people didn't like? He was as conservative as you could ask for, just not a lightning rod like Kobach. And when you're a lightning rod, you attract lightning. Now we will have Kelly, more lefty in reality than Sebelius was, to deal with for at least 4 years.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Yeah, and that gay Indian kickboxer graduated from Cornell Law. Perhaps the good people of KC and JOCO were so fed up with republican mismanagement they were willing to go out on a limb. BTW, your boy Cadet Bone Spurs went into meltdown at that news conference. Watched a few minutes between rounds. My favorite “II am a great moral leader”. Spanky’s numbers don’t look good, and he’s acting like a corned rabid skunk. Think he’s got something to hide? Behave yourself- and I wouldn’t cross that gay kick boxer. She just might kick yo ass. 58. Well Captain, looking back maybe nominating Kobach wasn't such a good idea after all.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Colyer was just too close to Brownback, I don't believe he could have won against Kelly either.
Some of my Christians friends from church are repubs and school teachers/retired teachers, they talk about how they hate abortion. Yet today they are so happy, they say I voted for my school and won. I thought about showing the 14 Kansas bills Kelly voted on that support abortion on Facebook? Then decided, let them have their day, I may bring it up at the next church board meeting, but not FB. I may say something like "well a person has to make a choice, schools or abortions, that is between them and God".

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Except that the Democrats weren't going to make Colyer a priority. Here's a good rule of thumb: if the other side is rooting for your candy-date in the primary, it is NOT a good omen. That's how Kelly got so much out of state money. And you know it was because of Kobach, because she SURE as hell ain't as photogenic as Beto.

Kobach was just a lightning rod with his views. He's not a doofus-dewoofus like Roy Moore or Christine O'Donnell. He's intelligent and accomplished, doesn't have any noticeable weird habits; just attracts fire because he was so out front on voting reform.

But as Bill Buckley said: go for the electable conservative.

It was very upsetting how it happened and I will try to fill you in on this at a later date. What killed her was Cancer. Why it got to the stage it did before it was identified is the most troubling part of the whole thing and who bears the responsibility of that is something that I want to look into further. In the meantime, thank you all for your concern, I truly appreciate it! Services are scheduled For Saturday November 17, 10:00 am, at the Penwell-Gabel Funeral home on 10th St and Lane, I believe it is. 83. After all this time Arizona only has 75% votes counted according to Fox. That sounds like people making up hand ballots mas they go. Then someone in Florida is counting and are making decision by what they think the person voted and won't let anyone watch. During this process the demons jumped ahead.

  84. Slow morning so I will post this e-mail my friend John sent me.

    Old Flame

I received a phone call from a gorgeous ex-girlfriend who this morning called 'out-of-the-blue' to see if I was still around.
We lost track of time, chatting about the wild, romantic times we used to enjoy together.

I couldn't believe it when she asked if I'd be interested in meeting up and rekindling a little of that "old magic".
    "Wow" I was flabbergasted.

"I don't know if I could keep pace with you now", I said, "I'm a bit older and a bit greyer and balder than when you last saw me. Plus I don't really have the energy I used to have."
She just giggled and said she was sure I would "rise to the challenge".

"Yeah." I said. "Just so long as you don't mind a waistline that's a few inches wider these days. Not to mention my total lack of muscle tone... everything is sagging, my teeth are a bit yellowed and I am developing jowls like a Great Dane"

She laughed and told me to stop being so silly.

She teased me saying that tubby, gray haired, older men were cute, and she was sure I would still be a great lover.
Anyway, she giggled and said, "I've put on a few pounds myself!"

So I told her to fuck off.

  85. Don't want to intentionally piss anyone off, but I am absolutely against any vote being cast that isn't on paper, isn't cast the day of, isn't cast in person backed up with ID.

We have an election day, not weeks.

The complexity of the system lends to fraud and mistakes. It's not okay.

To protect both sides and ALL interests we need to simplify. And not with computers.

And as far as counting? Ballots are to be treated like money. People and institutions count and balance piles of money everyday with little fraud and the highest accuracy.

But hey, just a simple take from an asshole deplorable.
Gotta go, trying to get dog #3 tonight or tommorow.
