President Trump is making good on his promises to “drain the swamp” and cut Obama-era holdovers from his staffs, especially the critical and recently controversial National Security Council.
Officials confirmed that Trump and national security adviser Robert O’Brien have cut 70 positions inherited from former President Barack Obama, who had fattened the staff to 200.
Many were loaners from other agencies and have been sent back. Others left government work.
The NSC, which is the president’s personal staff, was rocked when a “whistleblower” leveled charges that led to Trump’s impeachment.
Last week, one key official who testified against Trump at a House hearing on the Ukraine affair that led to impeachment was sent packing. Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman was returned to the Pentagon. His twin brother Lt. Col. Yevgeny Vindman was also given the boot. Trump had expressed displeasure that Alexander Vindman had testified against him when the Ukraine specialist said he did not like the phone conversation between the president and a newly elected president of Ukraine.
Since entering the White House, Trump has relied on staffs smaller than previous administrations and has noted how prior president’s had a much smaller NSC team.
O’Brien recently said that former President George W. Bush handled the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan with 100 NSC aides, a model he is instituting.
“This month, we will complete the right-sizing goal Ambassador O’Brien outlined in October, and in fact, may exceed that target by drawing down even more positions,” John Ullyot, the NSC’s senior director for strategic communications, told Secrets.

They go home at night and play with their kids, have some well earned rest then get up the next day and go to work. They pay their taxes, give to charity, take care of their neighbors. They go to church. They build things, fix things. They help those who need help. They watch a video like that and get a little lump in their throat. And they will vote this year. For our President.
These commies oppose everything that video and our President expressed in that speech. Everything. They demonstrated it. They have proven it. And America will remember that when they vote.
There is a reckoning coming in November. And the commies will hear the American people.

The White House has identified the Trump administration official behind the anonymous tell-all book and critical New York Times opinion piece about the White House and will part ways with that person, according to former U.S. Attorney Joe diGenova.
DiGenova, a lawyer whose work has been caught up in the Ukraine-impeachment controversy, said on Monday that he and his wife, Victoria Toensing, were told by "a senior government official" that "Anonymous" had been identified as an official working in the White House and would be removed "soon."
DiGenova declined to reveal more details in an interview with WMAL’s Mornings on the Mall, but his comments come days after the White House dismissed Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, an impeachment witness, and his identical twin brother from the National Security Council.
The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment for this report.
DiGenova has been in the news lately as details emerged about his and Toensing's work with President Trump's lawyer Rudy Giuliani to uncover evidence that former Vice President Joe Biden held up to $1 billion in loan guarantees from Ukraine to help his son escape a potential corruption investigation. Trump pressuring Ukraine to announce investigations into his political rivals, including the Bidens, was the subject of impeachment, which ended in an acquittal of the president in the Senate last week.
The publicly unknown administration official first made him or herself known in September 2018 when the New York Times published an anonymous opinion piece by a senior member of the Trump administration, explaining that there is an internal "resistance" group of officials working to stymie the president's worst inclinations.
Following the publication of the New York Times piece, a multitude of Trump administration officials denied being the author amid feverish speculation, including Vice President Mike Pence, former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley, and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo. Trump labeled the author "gutless" and questioned whether a "so-called 'senior administration official'" even existed.
"Anonymous" published a book titled A Warning last November.
There were several explosive claims in the book, including one which alleged that a group of White House aides put together a tally of Cabinet members who they believed would support the use of the 25th Amendment to remove Trump from office. Another section of the book talks about how a group of senior Trump administration officials considered a "midnight self-massacre" in which they would resign together.

Comments came as he defended NYPD 'stop and frisk' policy

A newly surfaced audio recording of Michael Bloomberg in 2015 defending the racially controversial police tactic of “stop and frisk” went viral on Tuesday just as voters headed to the polls in New Hampshire’s presidential primary.
In the recording of a speech that the former New York City mayor gave at the Aspen Institute, Mr. Bloomberg is heard saying that the way to confiscate guns from young black males is to “throw them up against the walls and frisk them.”
“Ninety-five percent of murders — murderers and murder victims — fit one M.O.,” Mr. Bloomberg is heard saying. “You can just take a description, Xerox it, and pass it out to all the cops. They are male, minorities, 16-25. That’s true in New York, that’s true in virtually every city…. And that’s where the real crime is. You’ve got to get the guns out of the hands of people that are getting killed.”
The recording was released by podcaster Benjamin Dixon. The Aspen Times reported in 2015 that Mr. Bloomberg’s representatives had asked the Institute not to release a recording of Mr. Bloomberg’s speech.
President Trump tweeted on a copy of the video, ‘“WOW, BLOOMBERG IS A TOTAL RACIST!” The tweet was later deleted.
His son, Donald Trump Jr., tweeted the video and commented, “Omg! Leaked audio of Mike Bloomberg talking about the high crime rates among urban minorities.” The president’s son added the hashtag “BloombergIsARacist.”
The Bloomberg campaign didn’t comment immediately on the recording.
In the audio recording, Mr. Bloomberg also said urban crime-fighting required cities to “spend the money” and “put a lot of cops in the streets,” particularly in “minority neighborhoods.”
“So one of the unintended consequences is people say, ‘Oh my God, you are arresting kids for marijuana that are all minorities.’ Yes, that’s true,” he said. “Why? Because we put all the cops in minority neighborhoods. Yes, that’s true. Why do we do it? Because that’s where all the crime is. And the way you get the guns out of the kids’ hands is to throw them up against the wall and frisk them… And then they start… ‘Oh I don’t want to get caught.’ So they don’t bring the gun. They still have a gun, but they leave it at home.”

They claim to read the minds of dead people while they regale with BS about the "Evil One". (Trump not the devil) There is even a long time democrat telling all who the Republicans should vote if they want to win the race to replace Robert's. I like to start my day with comic relief.

DeleteAfter last night, I'm seeing the writing on the wall, I think. After Sleepy Joe's candle burns out in South Carolina, which I think it just might, after Gay Dude peaks in his performance, which he may have done last night,especially if he does not pick up the Black vote, after the Party finally finds a way to get rid of Bernie, even if they have to go to a brokered convention, and after all of the "Racist" comments Billion-air Boy Bloomberg made about "stop and frisk"; to me it looks like they will only have one candidate left that might potentially get backing from most of the branches of the left-wing, while pacifying the more "moderate" with a somewhat more centrist candidate, and I think that candidate could very well be Klobuchar.
She would be the Anti-Trump, first female President that many of those in the other camps right now could possibly follow. Right now she has money problems, and does not seem to have a forward vision of how to direct her campaign beyond New Hampshire.
The thing is, when it comes to beating Trump, most of that crowd will get behind almost anybody who they think stands a chance, and she may be their only hope of that. I hope Trump's campaign is taking that into account and primarily coming up with a "health care" bill that can be affordable and sustainable.

The partisan hoax is officially over. Wednesday in the United States Senate, President Trump was acquitted of any wrongdoing regarding the bogus articles of impeachment brought forth by House Democrats. There’s no question that the vote against impeachment vindicates President Trump from this purely partisan vendetta once and for all.
The president’s legal team, along with House and Senate Republicans, made it overwhelmingly clear that there was no case for the sham impeachment brought against President Trump, all but tearing it to shreds as the weakest case for impeachment in American history.
Yet the vote for acquittal in the Senate does not negate the fact that the do-nothing Democrats wasted three years and millions of taxpayer dollars by supporting baseless witch hunts against a president they have wanted to destroy since day one.
From the beginning of President Trump’s administration, the Democrats and media have obsessed over removing him office. Their obsession began even before he was inaugurated, proving that this partisan charade was not based on truth but rather their fear that they once again will be unable to defeat him at the ballot box in 2020.
This impeachment charade lasted for 178 days – 178 days of complete nonsense including 146 hours that were spent on debating and investigating a baseless charge. There were 13 hearings held and over 28,000 pages of evidence, which proved there was no quid pro quo and that President Trump took part in no wrongdoing.

ReplyDeleteThe Democrats’ efforts to erase the votes of 63 million Americans only pressed to further divide the nation while important business – like the USMCA – was left unfinished. The American people have watched as their Democrat representatives sold them out in favor of impeachment for months, but they were not fooled. They knew that while Democrats chased impeachment at all costs, President Trump and Republicans were working hard to continue the great American comeback we’ve seen under this administration.
And while Democrats – including our representatives in New Mexico – got on board with Nancy Pelosi and her partisan power grab, support for President Trump has only grown, and his approval ratings are higher than ever before. This is no surprise. From the beginning, the people of New Mexico have shown that they opposed this impeachment charade. It is time for the do-nothing Democrats to forget their partisan agenda of resisting and focus on what the people of New Mexico want, which is President Trump’s leadership.
As we heard in the State of the Union, President Trump is delivering on the promises he made to the American people, providing historic record results in just three years in office, and they know he is fighting for each of them. The people of America, and New Mexico, will remember the Democrats’ reckless actions when they head to the ballot box in November to re-elect President Trump to four more years of promises made and promises kept.

The Speaker of the House sits behind the President of the United States at the State of the Union. She mumbles. She mutters. She stares. She refuses to clap or stand for all manner of American heroes in the gallery. In the end, after prepping the text of the speech with little tears, with all the pettiness of a defiant five-year-old having a temper tantrum, she stands and ostentatiously tears the speech in half.
Meanwhile, in New Hampshire, the Democrats swarm to a cranky 78-year old socialist who vows free everything, with billionaires finally getting their long-overdue comeuppance.
Out in Hollywood, left-wing actor, Joaquin Phoenix accepted his Best Actor Oscar by saying this:
“We feel entitled to artificially inseminate a cow and when she gives birth, we steal her baby, even though her cries of anguish are unmistakable. And then we take her milk that’s intended for her calf and we put it in our coffee and our cereal.”
Note well the plea for babies of cows – but silence on the abortion of human babies.
As noted by Robert Stacy McCain over at The American Spectator even MSNBC’s liberal Chris Matthews is alarmed at the far-left turn of his party.
“We need look no further than the reliably partisan Chris Matthews at reliably partisan MSNBC. A former speechwriter for Jimmy Carter who served as chief of staff to former Democratic House Speaker Tip O’Neill, Matthews reached a nadir of despondency after Biden’s debacle last week in Iowa. In a panel discussion following Friday night’s debate in New Hampshire, Matthews went on a rant against socialism, recalling his Cold War-era visits to Vietnam and Cuba: ‘Being there, I’ve seen what socialism is like. I don’t like it, OK? It’s not only not free, it doesn’t freaking work. It just doesn’t work.’
As his fellow MSNBC panelists looked aghast, Matthews continued, saying that if ‘the Reds had won the Cold War, there would have been executions in Central Park, and I might have been one of the ones getting executed, and certain other people would be there cheering, OK?’”
Perhaps too late for his party, but Chris gets it at last. (Memo to Chris? It was Ronald Reagan who won the Cold War – with every Democrat of the day fighting to stop him.)
McCain also points to this piece over at Axios by Mike Allen in which Allen says of the last week:
“This was the worst week for Democrats since Donald Trump’s election-night shocker of 2016.”

President Trump’s reelection campaign and the Republican National Committee raked in $60.6 million for their 2020 war chest in January as they prepare to take on Democrats.
Together, the two more than doubled the money earned by President Barack Obama and the Democratic National Committee in 2012, when the former president was at the same point in his first term as Trump is now, ahead of the November election. In 2012, Obama and the committee brought in $29 million, which is $31.6 million less than the Republicans.
The massive haul brought the Republicans' cash-on-hand to more than $200 million. At the same point, Obama and the DNC had just $93.7 million cash on hand, along with $7.2 million in debt.
RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel lauded the fundraising haul in a statement, saying, “The more Democrats smear President Trump, the more enthusiasm we see for him and his many accomplishments. We already have 500,000 volunteers trained and activated, and this record-breaking support is helping us grow our grassroots army even more.”
“The Democrats’ shameful impeachment hoax and dumpster fire primary process have only contributed to the record breaking financial support for President Trump’s reelection,” said Trump campaign manager Brad Parscale. “With President Trump’s accomplishments, our massive data and ground operations, and our strong fundraising numbers, this campaign is going to be unstoppable in 2020.”
Since 2019, the RNC and Trump’s campaign brought in more than $525 million. In early January, the DNC claimed that donations to the committee and to their field of presidential candidates were nearly $580 million in 2019. While the DNC did bring in more money in 2019, those funds were split between several candidates, while Republicans were able to coordinate committee efforts with the Trump campaign in a joint field operation.
