  3. I am not sick. I am headed to Las Vegas later this month to have some fun before I have my shoulder replaced. More likely to contract some type of staph in the hospital. I do not know one person personally who has the Wuhan virus. I didn't know anyone who contracted the swine flu, the bird flu, Ebola or any other disease from foreign countries.

  7. Out here there are a bunch of cases but they're all south or north in the population centers. But then those people live on top of each other. And once it gets in the homeless jungles it's game over.

Where I live there have been zero cases. Plenty of toilet paper to be found, water, disinfectant wipes. I haven't stocked up because we always stay stocked up. I have enough TP, water and freeze dried food to hold me six months.

My wife got a bad case of the flu, we went to the DR just in case and she said just the flu. Apparently the symptoms are similar but different in some key areas.

My daughter in LA on the other hand can't find toilet paper. So I went on Amazon and found her a giant pack and sent it to her. She uses Wet One disinfectant hand wipes and can't find them anywhere. They're for my Grandson so I went to our local grocery story and bought all they had and sent it down to her.

She teaches a couple days at UCLA, they have cancelled all classes. My son in law is working from home. Everything down there is shutting down.

Pretty crazy. But the bad thing is the dem/coms are playing this to create panic. Claiming our President isn't taking care of business. That it is going to wipe up out. Just for political gain. They have crashed the market. They have created panic buying. All this panic is the dem/coms and their commie rat bastard comrade apparachiks the mainstream media. They don't care how much damage they do to our country if it hurts the bad orange man.

By the way, I'm on Twitter now. If you are a twitter person, search for @StillSafeAtHome, or by my name Randy Brown. I haven't posted much yet, but some people are reading me. No followers yet. I mainly did it to follow the people I like, but then I had to throw some comments out there.

Trump expected to declare national emergency in response to coronavirus outbreak
    by Spencer Neale | March 13, 2020 12:04 PM

President Trump plans to announce a national emergency as communities across the country prepare for the novel coronavirus outbreak.

The president will address the nation from the Oval Office at 3 p.m. EDT on Friday and is expected to invoke the Stafford Act in an effort to assist state and local governments with federal and medical assistance as officials attempt to contain the spread of the virus that causes COVID-19, sources told Bloomberg News.

The declaration would allow more than $40 billion from the Disaster Relief Fund to be released and would give states the ability to request 75% cost share of expenses for medical tests, medical supplies, emergency workers, hospital security, vaccinations, and more.

The last time a president declared a national emergency was in 2000, when President Bill Clinton used the power to assist New York and New Jersey during the West Nile Virus outbreak.

People are receiving the virus from the toilet paper that has been produced throughout all these countries from China it has been contaminated intentionally and this is the way that China could get back because they're not able to sell their stuff so they don't want anybody else to be able to do any good. This is also a way to eliminate a lot of population in China which is overabundance everybody uses toilet paper in China knows it so that's why the contamination people don't catch the flu that fast just by being next to somebody in a few days later deathly sick

  11. Copied and reposted. Not my words, however these thoughts have occurred to me as well.
"There is a dark & wickedly sinister agenda behind this whole Coronavirus thing. It is not what they are telling us. There is a book about the stock market crash of 2008. It was a managed crash. There was an election that needed to be won. A maganed crash of the stock market was necessary. It worked. That election was won.
Now, there is another election that needs to be won and the same people, and companies are panicking the public about the Coronavirus. The main stream media has become an instrument of propoganda. This panic is tanking the stock market.
Based on the CIA World Factbook, there 7.7 billion people in the world. There are 333 million people in the United States. Add in the 40 million illegal immigrants, there are upwards of 370 million.
World wide, there has been less than 4 thousand deaths. The death toll is slowly creaping up, but it doesn't match up to the level of panic that the media is causing.
Why are companies & schools in the United States closing down when not even 100k people are sick and less that 20 people have died?
Why are companies like Twitter, Facebook, Citibank, etc., encouraging their employees to work from home "to avoid getting sick?"
Why is the media hyping this disease up?
Why aren't they talking about influenza in the U.S. when 81,000 people in the U.S. have died from it this year?
We have had the worst market crash ever because of the Chinese situation with covid-19, but according to news reports, less than 4 thousand people in China, a country of 1.4 billion have died.
Why is the whole world shutting down?
People in high places have stated that they are willing to lose money in the stock market if it will get rid of this President.
Because of media hype, the President and CDC are forced to react.
HUGE RED FLAG, The president asked for 2 billion dollars to combat this virius. Democrats said, nooooooo! We need 8 billion: and actually gave the 8 billion to him. Hummmm.
Keep watching. Something wicked will be exposed in the future."

  18. This can be read or ignored, I don't personally care. But I know my parents who were born and raised in Kansas would be very unhappy if I didn't make an attempt to bring the truth to this group. Marty Makary M.D., is Clinical Professor of Public Health at Johns Hopkins. In case you were unaware of Hopkins, it is considered one of a very small number of the finest medical schools in the world. He is projecting a covid-19 morbidity at up to 500,000 in the U.S. That is as of NOW. If mortality projections are correct, and they appear to be with the data from across the world, of these 15,000 to 20,000 will die. Again that's of today. You in Kansas will likely be the last to begin seeing individuals present with the symptoms of covid - 19 because your population is sparse, and travel is far more limited than in urbanized areas. Having said that, Kansas presents potentially more serious problems. Your republican leadership has decimated your public health infrastructure. Wellington just closed its hospital today. Rural areas are very poorly served. However, for every small town with few amenities, e.g. grocery stores, clinics, etc. there will be a larger town where people congregate to do shopping, socializing, etc. Covid-19 is deadly for certain cohorts, the elderly being front and center. You WILL start seeing the spread of this disease.
The Trump administration has finally met its Waterloo. It is well known and documented that Trump cut CDC funding for its efforts to prevent global disease, and was successful in cutting 80%. If that wasn't bad enough, he dismissed the global health security unit of the Natl Security Council. No, NOBODY ELSE did this... Trump did. He seems genetically incapable of looking past his next dinner, or piece of ass. HHS, which almost comically is lead by a pharmaceutical executive, Alex Azar, does not have the funds to screen for the virus. That being the case, it's as if we are all in a car in a white out blizzard on I-70 trying somehow to figure out where the road is.

Trump is now on his heals. Money being released is far too little far too late. Because Kansas has refused Medicaid assistance, you have 100,000 individuals with no insurance. Your republican dominated legislature will likely resist funding.

A coronavirus is a large family of viruses that generally lead to respiratory illness. This particular virus is especially virulent. It is far more intense in morbidity and mortality. And given the aging of the population of Kansas, Kansas will find itself far more susceptible to contagion.

I would not wish anything like this to the people of my country, but it's becoming very clear - this will bring Trump and his vile team of grifters to its knees. People are sick and tired of the lies, the ignorance, the cowardice. Now the Mayor of Miami and Tom Hanks have contracted this illness. The so called "Trump of Brazil" Bolsonaro met with Trump and Pence at Mar a Lago a couple of days ago. Bolsonaro was there with his inner circle including his press secretary. Well, that press secretary tested positive, and now is ill from Covid 19. He met with Trump and Pence both. It certainly would be poetic justice to see them come down with this plague. In the time being, Trump simply needs to step aside because he has no ability to handle a crisis, major or minor, and he just got hit with the latter.

You’re used Euro-style health care as something we should aspire to. I now draw your attention to Italy 🇮🇹 . Particularly how health care is turning people away. Comments?

You’ve ridiculed us for our fidelity to the Second Amendment. I next draw your attention to the behavior of the consumerist mob in grocery and discount stores BEFORE ANYTHING HAS ACTUALLY HAPPENED. One shudders to think what this gaggle of dregs would do for my property should it become desirable. Please comment.

Welcome back, especially since your attitude has become more pleasant.

Been a crazy night an wacky morning thus far....

Our cat (who is a senior) decided after midnight to use my mattress like a cat box. I was pissed to say the least, but I have to take account that the cat is old. Ok, strip the bed, go to the washer (which is over 20 years old) with the bedding. come back up, sit in recliner for about an hour. Head back down... the washer's intake valve failed...never shut off water after tub getting full. I step in about 2 inches of water. So I worked on draining the washer... by the time it was 3 am, I decided to hell with it all, went back to the recliner, slept for about a couple of hours, got back up and started in the washer saga.

Baby sat the washer as it ran through the cycles... the bedspread quilt is now in the dryer.

Well, that's my story for now and I'm stickin' to it.... hear me?!

  55. Good morning Room 235. It has been raining the last couple of days and more on the way. I am not complaining, I love the rain. I miss the spring thunderstorms in Kansas.

People are buying up all the TP, hand sanitizer and beer down here. My husband went to Costco yesterday at 7 am and the parking lot was full and he couldn't find a place to park. He went back today, he found a parking spot but he said it was a crazy scene. I won't get out in those crazy crowds. My immune system has been compromised from 34 straight days of radiation and it is not in my best interest to be around sick people. I have always been a hand washer and I pride myself in keeping a clean house but the dang neighbors insist on coming over and I don't want them around at this time. I am not an overly cautious person but I just know I can't fight off the flu like I used to under my current circumstances. I am upset about not being able to watch college basketball. I adore March Madness. Now THAT was a real bummer. People are asking if I will watch their kids since the schools have extended spring break. Nope, not going to do it. I taught school (awhile back) for one year and I was sick the entire year. Not going to put myself through that again. I am turning into an old mean person. LOL. Y'all take care and be safe.

  57. Sarge, I do keep a well stocked pantry and it is just the two of us. I love to cook so I always have canned tomatoes, green beans dried beans and meat on hand. I cook from scratch so I have most everything I need. We drink smoothies in the morning and that calls for fresh fruit and yogurt so we shop on a weekly basis for that. I make my own noodles and we always have rice on hand. We like homemade soup so that is a plus. The thing I wonder about are all the folks who do not know how to cook. With the restaurants closing early that will drive the people to the grocery stores. I am not so sure if the grocery stores can handle the influx of buyers without much notice to restock the shelves. Some states (like New York) have not had the proper notice to adjust for the increase grocery store purchases due to the closing of restaurants. Poor planning. Our little town has seen an increase in restaurants spring up and those restaurants are thriving. If our town decides to limit the restaurant operating hours the grocery stores will be flooded. We are close to the University of Dallas and a number of young adults frequent the restaurants. They have to eat and they will utilize the grocery stores and cause a shortage of foodstuffs out of panic. I have my garden started so I will have some homegrown vegetables. I have three shelving units of grow light in my sunroom that currently have over two hundred African violets and orchids growing under the lights. I can easily kick those house plants to the curb if I need room to grow vegetables. I have some starter plants already in bloom so it will not be long before I have vegetables. Meat is my main concern. I do not have a deep freezer but I can put a lot of meat from my butcher in the freezer side of the refrigerator. You are right. I should have planned months ago for better food storage. You have me thinking. We need to stock up just in case the restaurants are forced to close because that will case a mad rush to the grocery stores. Thanks for your wise advice.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Well Rose You got a Handle on it, good for you, and you are right there are so many people that don't have 3 days of food in the house, and for those you said don't know how to cook???
