Open Blog Friday...

It's hard to believe it's Friday again all ready.

But it is.

And that means it's your day to decide what we talk about.

So you might as well get after it.

Stay safe and be well, my friends...

  1. Bloomberg gets it really, really wrong

    Speaking of the forces of darkness quoting Scripture, anti-gun former Mayor Michael Bloomberg chose this Easter week to try his hand at some biblical exposition.

    But before I tell you about his whopper, Bloomberg made headlines on Wednesday after announcing his “threat” to spend $50 million to change people’s hearts and minds in favor of gun control.

    Never mind the fact that Bloomberg has anything but the Midas touch when it comes to pushing gun control, as he’s lost almost every battle where he’s spent his millions.

    I guess he’s free to do so; he’s got money to waste, But frankly, I think he’s going to find out why his side keeps losing.

    Bloomberg lost in Nevada last year, where he tried to get a universal gun registry and universal background checks enacted.

    He lost in Colorado, where he tried to rescue two state senators from being recalled because of their gun control votes.

    And he lost in the U.S. Senate, where a concealed carry amendment actually garnered more Senate votes than did his proposal for expanding background checks on guns.

    But it’s not just on guns where he gets it wrong. Obviously proud of his efforts in pushing firearms restrictions, Bloomberg said this week that:

    “If there is a God, when I get to heaven, I’m not stopping to be interviewed. I’m heading right in. I’ve earned my place in heaven. It’s not even close.”

    Wow, if he thinks he’s blessed because of his efforts to disarm the public, he should consider passages like I Samuel 13:16-22, where arms control was considered a curse; and Luke 22:36, where Jesus told His disciples to sell their cloaks and buy a sword (if they didn’t already have one).

    And as for breezing right through the pearly gates, without an interview, and gaining entrance on the basis of his own very tainted efforts? Does he really think that he can buy his way into heaven because of the millions he’s spent on “social issues”?

    Most people would find that disgusting.

  8. It always amazes me how the main stream media is in bed with this administration. Help them sweep this stuff under the rug, especially in election years. Sickening!!

  9. And it amazes me how half the country will never get used to it
    and the other half doesn't care.
    and a good chunk of that half encourages it.

  12. SEX IN THE SHOWER...thought for the day.

    In a recent survey commissioned by President Obama, his supporters have
    proven to be the most likely to have had sex in the shower.

    The survey was carried out for Democrats by a leading soap and toiletries
    firm.

    The results revealed that 86% of Obama supporters said that they have had
    sex in the shower.

    The remaining 14% said they haven't been to prison yet.

    Sort of brings tears to your eyes...

    ReplyDelete
  13. Are you sure a whole 14% of them haven't been in prison?

    Seems impossible...

    And we thought we were over monitored.

    The following offensive text was considered by someone at Facebook to be inappropriate. It was posted by Todd Starnes of Fox News:
    “Rancher Bundy should’ve told the feds that those were Mexican cows – who came across the border illegally to seek better grazing opportunities. It was an act of love.”

    Any late-night comedian would have delivered this line and got lots of laughs. It satirized all the liberal clichés about immigration and liberal double standards.
    Apparently it was too much for the folks at Facebook. Starnes was told, “We removed the post below because it doesn’t follow the Facebook Community Standards.” Of course, he was never told what “standard” he had violated. This is classic liberalism.

  27. I would think that any people that are Hispanic would flag MF Gimme [aka El Jefeko] Seems to me that his posting would be considered racist. I know people have been booted off for even acting like they were someone or something else as MF does.

  30. La Huffa isn't worth a response, especially if I'm using my phone. Earlier I considered going after it in Spanish, but if CJ translated I'd be gone in a heartbeat if not faster.

    I'm glad I can step in here where it's safe. I think we need Rule 8 for La Huffa all the time.

    An Obituary printed in the London Times.....Absolutely Brilliant!!!

    Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape. He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as:
    - Knowing when to come in out of the rain;
    - Why the early bird gets the worm;
    - Life isn't always fair;
    - and Maybe it was my fault.

    Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more than you can earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not children, are in charge).

    His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a 6-year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition.

    Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job that they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly children.

    It declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent to administer sun lotion or an aspirin to a student; but could not inform parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion.

    Common Sense lost the will to live as the churches became businesses; and criminals received better treatment than their victims.

    Common Sense took a beating when you couldn't defend yourself from a burglar in your own home and the burglar could sue you for assault.

    Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in her lap, and was promptly awarded a huge settlement.

    Common Sense was preceded in death, by his parents, Truth and Trust, by his wife, Discretion, by his daughter, Responsibility, and by his son, Reason.

    He is survived by his 4 stepbrothers;
    I Know My Rights
    I Want It Now
    Someone Else Is To Blame
    I'm A Victim

    Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone.
