Lock down 2020


I can remember way back to last year when the year 2020 was still on the horizon.

Bring it on, I said.

Now the old saying "Be careful what you wish for" comes to mind.

Good grief.

TOPEKA, Kan. (KSNT) – Shawnee County is only allowing people to leave their homes for essential activities, like groceries, health care or working at an essential service or business.
The order will go into effect at 12:01 a.m. Thursday, March 26, according to Dr. Gianfranco Pezzino, Shawnee County Health Officer. It will last until April 26.
Under this order, everyone is directed to stay home except for essential needs.
That includes:
  • Obtaining medicine or seeing a doctor or other health care provider
  • Getting necessary services or supplies for themselves, their family or household members, such as food, pet food or supplies necessary for staying at home
  • Obtaining supplies necessary for maintaining a household
  • Obtaining supplies necessary for working from home
  • Engaging in outdoor activity, such as walking, hiking or running
  • Performing work providing essential services at an essential business
  • Caring for a family member in another household
  • Caring for the elderly, minors, dependents, persons with disabilities or other vulnerable persons.


SCHD said essential businesses and organizations include:
  • Hospitals
  • Childcare facilities
  • Government operations
  • Pharmacies, health care supply stores and health care facilities
  • Grocery stores and convenience stores
  • Agricultural stores or stores that provide essential food and goods for animals
  • Gas stations
  • Auto repair facilities
  • Garbage collection
  • Hardware stores, plumbers, electricians, exterminators and other service providers necessary to maintain the safety, sanitation and essential operation of residences and other essential businesses
  • Educational institutions, for the purposes of facilitating distance learning
  • Laundromats, dry cleaners and laundry service providers
  • Businesses that ship or deliver groceries, food and goods directly to residences

House Majority Whip Rep. James Clyburn (D-SC) reportedly told Democrats on a conference call last week that the party should exploit the coronavirus stimulus: “This is a tremendous opportunity to restructure things to fit our vision.”

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi debuted a 1,120-page coronavirus rescue bill after Democrats tanked the Senate proposal on Sunday night.
The bill includes a wish list of Democrats’ pet issues including:
  1. Increased fuel emission standards for airlines receiving funds and carbon offsets:(1) IN GENERAL. Not later than 90 days after the enactment of this Act, the Administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration shall require each air carrier receiving assistance under section 101, to fully offset the annual carbon emissions of such air carriers for domestic flights beginning in 2025.
    ….
    (1) IN GENERAL. The Administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration shall require each air carrier receiving assistance under section 101 to:(A) make and achieve a binding commitment to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions attributable to the domestic flights of such air carrier in every calendar year, beginning with 2021, on a path consistent with a 25 percent reduction in the aviation sector’s emissions from 2005 levels by 2035, and a 50 percent reduction in the sector’s emissions from 2005 levels by 2050, applying the standards, recommended practices, and guidance agreed to by the United States pursuant to the European Union Emissions Trading Scheme Prohibition Act of 2011
  2. Payment for up to $10,000 in student loans:
    (1) MINIMUM STUDENT LOAN RELIEF AS A RESULT OF THE COVID–19 NATIONAL EMERGENCY. Not later than 270 days after the last day of the COVID–19 emergency period, the Secretaries concerned shall jointly carry out a program under which a qualified borrower, with respect to the covered loans and private education of loans of such qualified borrower, shall receive in accordance with paragraph (3) an amount equal to the lesser of the following:(A) The total amount of each covered loan and each private education loan of the borrower; or
    (B) $10,000.
  3. Same-day voter registration, early voting, voting by mail, ballot harvesting
    The bill includes several provisions on voting laws and regulations, as Democrats argue that the crisis should force the government to revisit voting regulations to make it easier to vote, allowing same-day voter registration and voting by mail, and mailing out ballots to absentee voters. Other voting fraud watchdogs raised flags about ballot harvesting and grants for conducting risk-limiting audits of election resultsSame-day registration:
    ‘‘SEC. 325. SAME DAY REGISTRATION.
    ‘‘(a) IN GENERAL.—
    ‘‘(1) REGISTRATION.—Each State shall permit any eligible individual on the day of a Federal election and on any day when voting, including early voting, is permitted for a Federal election—
    ‘‘(A) to register to vote in such election at the polling place using a form that meets the requirements under section 9(b) of the National Voter Registration Act of 1993 (or, if the individual is already registered to vote, to revise any of the individual’s voter registration information); and
    ‘‘(B) to cast a vote in such election.
    Online voter registration:
    (a) REQUIRING AVAILABILITY OF INTERNET FOR VOTER REGISTRATION.—
    (1) REQUIRING AVAILABILITY OF INTERNET FOR REGISTRATION.—The National Voter Registration Act of 1993 (52 U.S.C. 20501 et seq.) is amended by inserting after section 6 the following new section:
    Ballot harvesting:
    (2) PERMITTING VOTERS TO DESIGNATE OTHER PERSON TO RETURN BALLOT.—
    The State— (A) shall permit a voter to designate any person to return a voted and sealed absentee ballot to the post office, a ballot drop-off location, tribally designated building, or election office so long as the person designated to return the ballot does not receive any form of compensation based on the number of ballots that the person has returned and no individual, group, or organization provides compensation on this basis; and ‘(B) may not put any limit on how many voted and sealed absentee ballots any designated person can return to the post office, a ballot drop off location, tribally designated building, or election office.
    Automatic mailing of absentee ballots:
    ‘(A) AUTOMATIC MAILING OF ABSENTEE BALLOTS TO ALL VOTERS.—If the area in which an election is held is in an area in which an emergency or disaster which is described in subparagraph (A) or (B) of section 1135(g)(1) of the Social Security Act (42 U.S.C. 1320b- 5(g)(1)) is declared during the period described in subparagraph.
    Grants for risk-limiting audits:
    PART 8—GRANTS FOR CONDUCTING RISK- LIMITING AUDITS OF RESULTS OF ELECTIONS ‘‘SEC. 298. GRANTS FOR CONDUCTING RISK-LIMITING AUDITS OF RESULTS OF ELECTIONS.‘(a) AVAILABILITY OF GRANTS.—The Commission shall make a grant to each eligible State to conduct risk-limiting audits as described in subsection (b) with respect to the regularly scheduled general elections for Federal office held in November 2020 and each succeeding election for Federal office.
  4. Preserving collective bargaining powers for unionsSeveral provisions in the bill include carveouts for big labor, including labor protections, collective bargaining, and organizing, as well as overturning President Trump’s executive orders regarding federal employee unions.
  5. The expansion of wind and solar tax credits.Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and other lawmakers specifically called out Democrats for trying to negotiate the expansion of wind and solar tax credits in the bill.
  6. Requirements for federal and corporate gender and racial diversity data
    The bill demands that corporate recipients of financial assistance are required to report racial and gender data regarding salaries, number of employees, supplier diversity, and membership on corporate boards. It also requires federal agencies to use businesses and financial institutions owned by minorities or women.
  7. Post Office Bailout
    UNITED STATES POSTAL SERVICE PAYMENT TO POSTAL SERVICE FUND
    For payment to the ‘‘Postal Service Fund’’, for revenue forgone due to the coronavirus pandemic, $20,000,000,000, to remain available until September 30, 2022: Provided, That such amount is designated by the Congress as being for an emergency requirement pursuant to section 251(b)(2)(A)(i) of the Balanced Budget and Emergency Deficit Control Act of 1985.
  8. Automatic extension of nonimmigrant visas.
    Rep. Paul Gosar flagged a provision regarding the automatic extension of nonimmigrant visas.(c) Notwithstanding any other provision of law, with respect to any alien whose nonimmigrant status, status under section 244 of the Immigration and Nationality Act (8 U.S.C. 1254a), or employment authorization has expired within the 30 days preceding the date of the enactment of this act, or will expire not later than one year after such date, the Secretary of Homeland Security shall automatically extend such status or work authorization for the same time period as the alien’s prior status or work authorization.
  9. Restricting colleges from providing information about citizenship status
    (1) INFORMATION.—Only information requested
    On the official 2020 decennial census of population form may be provided to the Bureau of the Census pursuant to this section. No institution of higher education may provide any information to the Bureau on the immigration or citizenship status of any individual.
  10. Money for Planned Parenthood
    The Hill reported that Democrats want the bill to prop up Planned Parenthood, just another reason why bipartisan efforts have failed to reach a consensus.

Dispatch from California

 Greetings friends. Thought you might like to hear from someone out here in the heart of the craziness. California seems to be getting labeled as the worst state in terms of infections and deaths, and I'm pretty sure that's understated at this point. It's going to get worse by leaps and bounds.

My daughter lives in LA, actually in the San Fernando Valley in Sherman Oaks. They're all working from home now, the grandson is out of school. She reports the stores look like the apocalypse with empty shelves. People are pretty much staying home. They're surviving but for people used to a pretty high life it's tough for them. Restaurants closed. Take out limited.

The real problem with California has yet to explode. They're talking about it, but pretending they will be able to deal with it when they clearly can't. This democrat state has created a mass casualty event situation by allowing the homeless to occupy the streets of our cities for years now to the point that when the virus hits them there will be catastrophic spreading of this modern day plague. There are estimated over a hundred thousand of these people living on the street, and I suspect the numbers are much higher. They live on the sidewalks, under the bridges, in any vacant lot or space they can find. They live in stolen tents, cardboard shacks, under tarps and in the open. They are inches apart from each other. They share bottles, needles and you don't want to know what else. They piss and shit on the sidewalk, which periodically gets hosed into the street which runs to the water supply that the cities use.

When this virus hits them, and it probably already has, it will spread like the wildfires California is famous for. And these people are already in poor health. Undernourished, many with various social and medical disease, drug addicts, mental illness primarily from years of drug addiction. They will become deathly ill by the thousands, tens of thousands. And they will die under those tarps and tents and the conditions will become like the black plague, with rats feasting on them and the whole area becoming toxic.

They will fill the hospitals by the thousands where they will try to save these wretches who have created this situation themselves. And hardworking, tax paying people who did everything right, and supported these dregs on society for years will suffer and there won't be room in the hospitals for them.


This is coming. You'll hear about it if you listen to actual news like FOX, but the democrat/commie rat bastard media will ignore it because it exposes everything that is wrong with democrat/communist control of our cities.

Now, up where I live. I'm in Kern County. Home to Kevin McCarthy, strong Trump supporter and the last holdout of sanity in the state. I live in the mountains, there are two roads in and out. Neither easy to drive. One way is through the Mohave desert then over a mile high pass. From Bakersfield it's about an hour through a very windy canyon road.

But still, we have people coming up here to clean out our only grocery store. Driving from LA through Bakersfield, a city the size of Kansas City. They have wiped it clean and they're coming here. They're driving up from LA. Buying all our toilet paper and groceries. They are like locusts, driving up the interstate stopping at every town they come to buying up supplies and moving on. It's pretty sick, but it's California. The good thing is the people here are mountain people. They are well stocked up on any given day anyway. And armed to the teeth.

I won't be surprised if this doesn't lead to people having to defend their supplies against marauding hordes of democrats demanding we "share" our stocks with them. Sound crazy? Maybe. Probably not.

So old Safe is fine. My income is secure. None of this is affecting me too much. I don't eat out much. Got plenty of food and supplies. I don't know what's coming, but we'll figure it out.

But this state is insane. Filled with insane people who were happy to create an environment where this catastrophe would have maximum impact. And it will.

And the democrat/commie rat bastards will continue to fan the flames of fear, repeating the lie that our President can't handle this, that he is making it worse, furthering the panic, driving our country to a depression. They will happily burn this country to the ground so they can take control of whatever is left. That's who they are. Commie rat bastards, to a man.

You won’t know what hit you, if you go forward with these awful decisions.”
Schumer said, “Now, we stand here today because behind me, inside the walls of this court, the Supreme Court is hearing arguments, as you know, for the first major abortion right cases since [Justice] Kavanaugh and [Justice] Gorsuch came to the bench. We know what’s at stake. Over the last three years, women’s reproductive rights have come under attack in a way we haven’t seen in modern history. Super Tuesday? You Gotta be kidding me...


I can't help but be amused by the slow motion implosion of what was once considered an honorable American political party.

I mean seriously.

Have you ever seen such a shit show in your life?

These people have lost their ever loving minds.

They're placing all their hopes and dreams on crazy Uncle Joe who doesn't even know where he is, what he's running for, or even what day it is most of the time.

But it's looking more and more like the only way Crazy Joe can beat their favorite communist, even crazier Uncle Bernie is for the super delegates to take him out in their upcoming convention.

That my friends, is when the implosion will finally be complete.

In the meantime I think I'll stick with the proven winner.
