Just another election? I don't think so...
Think November is just another election?
Give me nine minutes and you'll see for yourself how you couldn't be more wrong.
We're no longer talking about a few policy differences.
We're literally talking about whether or not this country survives.
Yeah, it's for real.

Imagine if you will, a world being run by insane people. Hell, you don't have to imagine it. Just look around. Just two short years ago ...
Good Grief, and a good Friday morning to you all..
ReplyDeleteAnother day, another round of moronic anti-Republican stories. And another example of Romney sucking up to the same people who savaged him in his presidential run. He is my moron of the day.
ReplyDeleteIt's funny how the Never Trumpers never learn a damn thing.
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure the only reason Romney ran again for the Senate was so he could have another shot at running for president.
Hell, he'll be lucky if the people of Utah ever vote for him again...
And right on schedule Elizabeth Warren is falling in line with the DNC to defeat Crazy Bernie.
ReplyDeleteDuring an interview last night with Rachel Madcow Warren attacked Bernie Sanders' supporters...
The Bernie Bros are gonna lose what's left of their minds...
If I wasn't seeing this with my own eye's I wouldn't believe what is happening to this Country, Now maybe the people will understand why we have the second amendment.
ReplyDeleteI am wondering if or when the Bernie Bros will see the light and start their pay back like they said? Will be at the convention or if he gives in before then where? No doubt where ever Antifa is, is where it will go down. See how the left likes having the tables turned on them. And maybe some of the ones which a half a brain will vote Trump just to pee the Libs off. Cant wait for the show to start. Maybe they would at least let us have a sneak preview.
ReplyDeleteAnd what the H is going on with this stock marked? They are really starting to pee me off.
missed all the activity around Schumer's criminal threat to SCOTUS .... getting caught up. Senate is pushing for censureship but I strongly feel they need to have Schumer brought up on charges of criminal threat and have him immediately removed from office - he deserves more than just a widdle slap on the wrist!
ReplyDeleteI saw that too about Liddy Warren.... all I can say is good bye to bad rubbish!
Doesn't matter who she throws her support to.... Trump is getting re-elected anyhow.
The New Way Forward Act, is as anti-American as it can get! ANYONE who supports this act just shows how much they hate America and it's legal citizens! Those who speak to support it should be brought up on charges of treason!
ReplyDeleteAgreed...
ReplyDeleteMiniMike...
ReplyDeleteIn backing out of the race, Bloomberg claimed he's getting out for the same reason he got in it: To defeat Trump. I guess that means he's going to continue spending his own money on a lost cause.
Bloomberg has never been able to decide if he's a Democrat or a Republican or something else. But one thing is for sure; he now has a label.
He learned that the one thing money can buy, is a nickname, especially if you have the temerity to run against Donald Trump. Bloomberg will be forever more be known as MiniMike. MAG and KAG
just read up on HR 5383. jeepers! it's definitely a bold attempt by the DUMBOcrats to reward illegal immigrants!
ReplyDeleteI hope it fails and flops on the house floor! But with elections coming up in November, the house DUMBOcrats are going to push this idiot bill with full force.
If it goes to the Senate....it'll die there!
Gary, thanks for posting about HR 5383. Your post prompted me to "read more about it."
DeleteThink about this: Bloomberg has spent $500,000,000 so far in trying to buy the election. That would mean he could have given EVERY CITIZEN in the country $1000,000 and still have change left! Just think of the effect that would have on the country!
ReplyDeleteinteresting thought....Bloomberg may be a "silent dweller" that decided not to be silent from the Swamp that President Trump is trying to drain.
DeleteUh oh, the Bernie Bros and other assorted supporters are attacking Bidens mental health...
ReplyDeleteShit's gonna hit the fan ...
Good Grief, I could have used that Gary How about you...
ReplyDeleteInteresting thought but you might want to check the math...
ReplyDeleteIn order to give 330 million people a million dollars apiece you'd have to have 330 trillion bucks...
ReplyDeleteLoL, Maybe meant to say tax payers... :):)
DeleteThan again it may have been a typO and meant $1000.00 :):)
DeleteBloomie had a bad month. When you have the footwork of Baby Huey and the punching power of Wally Cox and you have to go toe to toe with both President Trump and Fauxcahontas (in her only good outing); and spend a half a billion to boot; then come up with, well, doodly -squat. That has to hurt. Perhaps he can look up ol' Boz and get some therapy. He probably needs it.
ReplyDeleteOK. So I goofed! I will take whatever he will give me! Math was never my strong suit!
ReplyDeleteLol... I saw it on Facebook earlier this morning...
ReplyDeleteYup everyone would get $1.53 hahahah you weren't off by much Gary, :):):)
ReplyDeleteWell got to prepare to crash for the night, so good night room 235...
ReplyDeleteGood morning room 235...
ReplyDeleteTrump's building an unbeatable team.
ReplyDeleteThey announced yesterday that Mark Medows will be his new Chief of Staff.
Winning!!!🎆🎆🎆
Well I got the important thing done, got my beer run over with, and tomorrow we have to put up curtains and rods all around the sun room, I can see plenty of swearing.
ReplyDeleteI know it is only 7 but my watch say it is 8 so I am saying good night..
ReplyDeleteGood morning room 235...
ReplyDeleteGood morning Sarge...
ReplyDeleteI was planning to burn my brush pile today but the way the wind is blowing it'd probably be better if stayed inside and watch Gun Smoke refuns...😝
ReplyDeleteHell I watch those all week, I'' will watch the Races, after I rake last years leaves from under the bushes and get them to center of yard so the wind can blow them down the street. WHAT !!!
DeleteYou sound like my neighbor.
ReplyDeleteI am improvising , and adapting, and I will overcome... Plus saving on bags.. Tom
ReplyDeleteIts Killing me not to Say, ,, I agree..Lol
ReplyDeleteOK. So I want my $1.53! LOL! That's what I get for actually listening without thinking from the talking heads on TV. I think where I heard it was from Steve Dochey on Fox and Friends who had repeated it from lyin' Brian Williams. Anyway, always verify before repeating!
ReplyDeleteAnother fun thing! Biden is now apparently supporting President Trump for re-election!
“We cannot re-elect – we cannot win this re-election,” he told the confused crowd. “Excuse me. We can only re-elect Donald Trump.”
Joe Biden also seem to be confused of his own name, calling himself “an Obiden-Bama Democrat”
Now that is really getting way beyond simply having a gaff! But they don't care, as long as they think he can beat Trump, they will support him. Even I don't think that the average Democrat is that stupid, but hey I also thought that Bloomberg should have paid me a million bucks! LOL!
Well Gary No one out here was laughing at you, But with you.LOL
ReplyDeleteWell Maybe Kevin was, but you know how he is... :):)
DeleteLol... No I wasn't laughing at anybody. I almost fell for it too when I first saw it on Facebook...
ReplyDeleteThat's what happens to all of us if we take Fake News as Facts..
ReplyDeleteGood night room 235...
ReplyDeleteWell Kevin it is lots of work keeping blogs alive, I could use a raise, don't ya know...
ReplyDeleteSarge, I'll raise you a mugs worth of Wild Mountain Blueberry Coffee and a caramel nut cinnamon roll (smiles).
ReplyDeleteGood Grief! I just have to force myself to pass... :)
Deletesnicker snicker snicker (smiles)
DeleteFollowing is a post that I thought was kind of cute! Cute? Anyway, someone posted about Joe and his younger life adventures with non other than Corn Pop! I thought it was pretty good.
ReplyDeleteAfterward, Joe Biden continued with his story about Corn Pop: "After I took down Corn Pop and his fellow bad boys, Honeycomb, Apple Jack, and that dimwit, Special K, Corn Pop and I developed a mutual respect for each other and we became good friends. In fact, I briefly dated his sister, Sugar Smack, but that was before she began writing bad Chex and turning Trix. So, late one night Corn Pop and I walked downtown to grab sandwiches at Subway. It was about 2 a.m. and along the way we ran into Jussie Smollet, who smelled of bleach and had a rope around his neck, but we didn't think anything of it. Then, out of nowhere, Cesar Sayoc's white van covered in Trump stickers, which strangely didn't have a scratch on it, pulled up and Nick Sandmann and his Covington Catholic crew, all wearing red MAGA caps, jumped out, and they began staring us down. I tell you, I was never so scared in my Life. It was scarier than finding yourself in a dark alley with Count Chocula and Franken Berry. Corn Pop was so scared that he dropped a load of Cocoa Puffs in his pants. I was about to whip out my cell phone and call for military backup since I had Captain Crunch and General Mills on speed-dial, but at that moment I said to myself, 'I'm a Biden, man, and I'm not going to be intimidated and bullied.' So I grabbed a drum from Nathan Phillips and walked over and beat it in Nick's face while chanting the war cry of Elizabeth Warren's tribe. Man, that was something! I look back on that night and thank my Lucky Charms that I'm alive today to tell you about it. No joke! Cerealously, that's the truth, on my name as a Biden."
Lol good one Gary...
DeleteCome on Sarge! I mean she is talking WILD MOUNTAIN BLUEBERRY COFFEE! LOL! Sorry Rikki, I am just not a flavored coffee person! That is other than COFFEE flavor! :)
ReplyDeleteOh ye of limited coffee preference (just kidding) hee hee :)
Deleteregular is good, so is flavored, at least I've got Skippey in my corner on flavored coffees....
ReplyDeletehee hee (smiles)
Right Skippey :)
ReplyDeleteYa but Skippey Flavor is Peanut Butter, hahahhaha
Delete(smiles)
DeleteI also like toasted english muffins lightly buttered and topped with orange marmalade :)
Deleteyummy :)
Well I have been known to sip a little choc o cherry once in a while. usually with a cigar though. I had to go back to decaf when I do straight coffee.
ReplyDeleteAnd as for ole corn pop I sure do wish he would go ahead and pop and get it over with. Hillary is peeing her depends waiting for the call to take his place.
choc o cherry sounds delicious Skippey :)
DeleteY'all remember a while back there was a Denver City Councilwoman who supported the threat of coronavirus contamination at Mega Rallies? Sarcasm or not...this person should be removed from office... to wish death upon people whose political thoughts do not align with hers... wow...
ReplyDeleteover the weekend news broke out about two republicans now have put themselves in isolation...Sen. Ted Cruz and Rep. Paul Gosar because they were in brief contact with a man at a CPAC conference a couple of weeks ago.
Does anyone here know about the contaminated man who went to the CPAC conference? Is he a Democrat??
Don't know by having said why would that be a issue? I don't think it was close to any party, I maybe wrong..
ReplyDeleteI just find it peculiar how after this Denver Democrat City council woman said her remark that now there's 2 Republicans who are now in quarantine.
DeleteBut then to, it could be just one of those unexplainable things that happen.
Fair enough Sarge. How bout I double your salary?
ReplyDeleteWorks for me Kevin I should be able to buy a new pair of shoes in about 15 years... Lol
DeleteI'll even chip in a 2 pound bag of ground Wild Mountain Blueberry coffee
Delete(reeses pieces reeses pieces....I ran out of snickers snickers) hee hee
:)
I know, I know... Rikki dammit.... the only good coffee is regular coffee....none of that foo foo flavor stuff...
Delete(smiles)
what can I say? I'm feeling fairly bratty today.... hee hee :)
DeletePresident Trump noted on Twitter that 37,000 Americans died from the flu in 2019, “It averages between 27,000 and 70,000 per year. Nothing is shut down, life & the economy go on.”
ReplyDeleteMeanwhile, there are only 546 confirmed cases of coronavirus with 22 deaths in the U.S. but the media is in a panic and Democrats are fanning the flames hoping to hurt Trump politically.
Some political commentators are now openly wondering if the coronavirus “is a pandemic or a Dem panic?”
this is another thing that will be chalked up to another failed attempt by the Democrats in their relentless attacks on President Trump. They never get tired of losing do they?
DeleteBiden Had a event in Michigan today, hahahaha 28 people showed up, and he is going to win over Trump, Bring it on sleepy Joe...
ReplyDeleteGood morning room 235....
ReplyDeleteGood grief... I'm out at Walmart and walked by the toilet paper aisle and it was gutted.
ReplyDeleteToilet paper?
What's next?
I don't know about you guys and I'm not trying to sound like a nut here but I don't think it's gonna take much to set off a full blown panic to the point where stores are all emptied in a matter of minutes.
Agreed Kevin, it's getting out of hand!
ReplyDeleteI'm not trying to make lite of the "potential" severity of the Coronavirus.... but do y'all remember the other flu panicks? When I was little, the Hong Kong Flu was all over it seemed like. In searching history, in the late 1950's the Asian Flu was all over....before that in 1918 the Spanish Flu.
ReplyDeleteMaybe common sense needs to hit the media....i.e. instead of focusing 100% on the dismal....they need to balance the dismal with common sense.... keep things consistently clean. Your bedding, your towels/washcloths, your clothes, and above all...your hands. Also at work.... have a bottle of rubbing alcohol and clean all surfaces regularly - desk top, keyboard, mouse, telephone, monitor screens.
I had Hong Kong Flu in 68. That thing was no joke. Entire family had it and was out. When it was over for me I found out that some of my classes at Holliday had 3 people in them. I'm not going to freak out over this thing, but I am over 65. Best to be careful.
DeleteThey'll be no common sense coming from the media.
ReplyDeleteThey're the ones hyping the hysteria and it's all designed to damage Trump.
The mainstream media and the Democrats definitely need more than just a shot of common sense.....
DeleteAll I can say Kevin, Better not be a run on beer, just for inf I have a stock on toilet paper for years, why you ask? because I am fully Prepared for bullshit just like this. I can remember people laughing at me years ago, I may get the last laugh. Just saying... Told them so.
ReplyDeleteThis is just plain ridiculous in my opinion, when it comes to the Corona virus! People die ALL OF THE TIME for all sorts of reasons! We don't wish it on anyone, we don't want people to be sick, and we don't want to get sick, but trying to live your life in a panic mode is crazy! Now maybe, if there were "Walking Dead" among us, I would be a little more panicked but come on people, us some common sense, and don't fall for all of the BS that the media wants to give us! Oh, that's right, the media is who wants us to panic, and this is their next "We got him now" Donald Trump moment! Crash the whole economy just to get rid of the President! What a bunch of Assholes! My rant is over! Thank you very much!
ReplyDeletePS- At one time a run on toilet paper would not have bothered me at all, but with my step-daughter and my grand daughter now living with me, the stuff disappears faster than Houdini! Maybe I had better stock up too, that is if there is any left!
ReplyDeleteWell Gary do you know any democrats? If so You are walking with the living dead... Just saying... Don't wait on the things you know you have to have, I have been telling people for Many years, Have a stash of stuff of every thing. Little at a time use to work, but now people may have to move a little faster...
DeleteOh one other point what difference does it make if you store food and other stuff in your storage room or it is stored in the store, Everyone should know the answer to that...
DeleteWalmart just got in 4 pallets but you'd better hurry people are pouring in one after another...
ReplyDeleteWhat are you the Walmart greeter now? Heheheh
Deletewith how they're flying off the shelf, does Walmart think that 4 pallets is enough? (jk)
DeleteIf it keeps going the way it has been That'll be gone by tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteThe problem is that's all they could get from their warehouse.
This is just the tip of the iceberg.
Supply lines are falling apart and with thousands and thousands of products coming from China and other infected areas of the world shit's gonna hit the fan...
Same thing's going on in Silver Lake and Rossville.
ReplyDeleteAmazon also Kevin I checked on the pack I normaly order, can't get it I did place a order for the 96 double rolls and it took but the delivery date was 9 April, I don't expect to get it but if I don't no big deal was just checking to see the out look.
DeleteHey anyone Hear about this?
ReplyDeleteLol... I think they're all out there frantically searching the stores for toilet paper...
ReplyDeleteMaybe people will start to understand what those socialist counties feel like, Stay away from voting for a socialist liberal DemOrate..
ReplyDeleteTrue that...
ReplyDeleteWell do to things not in my control I must say good night room 235...
ReplyDeleteTrumps campaign needs to play that clip of Biden talking to the guy who ask about him taking away our guns and Joe's response to him about 100 times a day! Full of Shit? Horse's Ass? I don't work for you! What a totally ignorant and inept "candidate" and potential President! And this is the best that you've got Democratic Party? Well, Bless your hearts!
ReplyDeleteI just got 3 rolls (I buy singles mostly) at Tilton's, and they had plenty. Funny thing is, they're usually 35 cents. Gone up to 59. Oh well ... .
ReplyDeleteDid you see ol' Clyburn wants the Dems to shut the whole show down now? He knows his boy will continue to make a fool of himself and god only knows what the Arkansas paternity suit will do to the wastrel son. Of course by now Biden's senility, like Trump's rudeness and The Harridan's dangerousness, is factored in, so I doubt they'll have much additional effect. Biden is much less dangerous to the Republic than the Hildebeast, but much may ride on his choice of a Veep.
When real panic ensues, you will know it. When the public can't find an open grocery store, then you will see panic. When there are checkpoints in and out of major metropolitan areas stopping people from leaving if they have any symptoms of illness, then you will see panic. When crime rates explode because of lack of supplies and people start fighting over access to the meager food lines that FEMA offers, that will be panic.
ReplyDeleteAnd don't think for a second that this is not possible in this country, because it absolutely is. All it takes is for the global supply chain to break down for one month and there will be chaos like nothing people have seen in their lives.
If you want to see real panic, just wait until the nearly 50 percent of Americans on at least one medication can no longer get their prescriptions filled. Wait until people who are physically dependent on their supply of insulin or heart medication can't get any.
ReplyDeleteMy purpose here is not to frighten readers, but to put things in perspective and prepare you for what is coming. Lack of toilet paper in Costco is a nice day. Empty stores and unfulfilled prescriptions are a nightmare.
The way to deal with this is simple — prepare now. Don't listen to frauds like Elon Musk or the mainstream media when they accuse you of being a "hoarder" just for stocking supplies you would have normally purchased and used anyway over a longer period of time. There are only two reasons to discourage the public from prepping for a disaster:
1.Because the establishment is packed with idiots that do not like people breaking with the status quo and they want to maintain the illusion that all is well even at the expense of human lives.
Because the establishment wants to keep the masses as unprepared as possible so that as the disaster accelerates, they will be unprepared and desperate... and thus easier to control with promises of government "aid" when the time comes.
Take your pick. I'm not sure which one is worse, but given the evidence of past elitist engineered crisis I'm going to say #2 is the true reason behind all of this. The goal here is to conjure maximum chaos. This is why the mainstream media, the White House, the CDC and the WHO have all been downplaying the pandemic threat until the past week. This is why they are now trying to "shame" people who go out and prepare by accusing them of "panic" and calling them "hoarders." This is about keeping the public in check and immobile until the real panic happens, and by then it will be too late for them to prepare.
My rule is, always plan for the worst-case scenario. This is why I am not personally "panicked" by the COVID-19 crisis. This is why many people I know are not particularly panicked. One does not panic when one is prepared. MY preaching is now done,,,,
Your right on there Sargejr If people stop and look and think about what all they get that has to come from or has to deal with China and stop and think what would happen if that supply chin slows down or stops. Trump has been telling us for years that we are to dependent on Chinese goods. The libs know this and are now stirring it up to get a full blown crisis. Their only way to take Trump down is to kill the economy the stock market, and create mass hysteria along with any other panic they can find.
ReplyDeleteI agree with your thoughts Sarge. However, I am not intimidated with this virus for several reasons. I have not see a shred of evidence this virus is any more dangerous than the other coronavirus such as SARS. Because I am over 60 (maybe) I take precautions not to get the flu. As with the flu this virus is only especially dangerous to those over 60 and/or have compromised breathing or immune systems. We all have to die of something sometime. I might just die breaking any quarantine these morons like Fredo's brother. I refuse to have the National Guard or anyone stop me from travelling where I want due to a virus the medical profession knows a lot about. Why aren't medical professionals freaking out? Maybe because the virus is treatable in most cases. I am more concerned with the morons hoarding toilet paper for profit. I am sure I can locate a substitute. This moronic hysteria is ruining the economy. Perhaps it is nature's way of improving the gene pool. Or perhaps it is nature's way of being nature. Don't get me wrong I don't wish to see anyone die from this virus, but let's be realistic for a change.
ReplyDeleteWell Tom, I hear you but for me I don't hoard any thing to make a profit, I just want to be sure that I take care of my family and that is my Highest priority, and I like always look after my neighbor and friends that may need a little help in hard times, FREE.. As for dying I always knew the day I was born that I started dying, when is my problem!! So I am 100% realistic..
ReplyDeletePS Tom I and my wife are 75, both with COPD so we don't Push it if we don't have to, I call it common sense.
DeleteI do not think nor would I ever suggest you would be a hoarder for profit. You have mentioned several time you stock pile for an emergency. I just assumed since Sam's is out of TP some would be doing that. Same way with hand sanitizer.
ReplyDeleteI was suggesting the media get realistic not you.
ReplyDeleteI wasn't taking it personal Tom I can assure you ..
DeleteI hope I haven't offended you. Brevity sometimes change what I am trying to say. Glad to know you didn't take what I said personally.
ReplyDeleteLol, Tom, I like you old guys don't get upset easy... Why because there Isn't a damn thing we can do about it.
DeleteNow the NCAA will be played without fans in attendance. Does the NCAA realize how much some people depend on the income generated? For that matter do any of the teams and leagues cancelling live fans, but keeping TV money realize what they are doing to depress local economies. They don't care as they will still receive TV money. What a bunch of sissy hypocrites. The athletes are better prepared to ward off this type of flu than the average person. Let's share the suffering and cancel the games.
ReplyDeleteThe way i see it just let it be up to the people if they want to go or not, This boils down to the next Trumps Rally, they will whine if he doesn't cancel, I say if he has it leave it up to the people to go or not. But that won't be how the Medial will see it.
ReplyDeleteDam, Media will see it......
ReplyDeleteWell room 235 I bid you all a very good night..
ReplyDeleteGoodnight Sarge I'll talk to you tomorrow...
ReplyDeleteGood morning Sarge.
ReplyDeleteWell the good news is that I'm still alive. The bad news is that the panic buying buying is becoming increasingly likely by the day.
It's amazing how that while President Trump is calling for cooperation the dems, the media, and the drug infested Hollywood people are attacking him.
ReplyDeleteIf this country descends into chaos the blood will be on their hands...
And on their chest.... Just Saying.
ReplyDeleteUpdate on the 4 pallets of toilet paper Walmart got in Tuesday.
ReplyDeleteCompletely gone...
I was in two different stores in Lawrence Tuesday night and the exact same thing. Not a roll in sight.
People are spooked and it won't take much to put them over the edge...
There is alternatives. Our dumb ass outsourcing of vital medications to Red China and India leave few alternatives until we gear up production here.
ReplyDeleteForgot the alternatives I was referencing was for TP.
ReplyDeleteJust saw this.
ReplyDeleteThe election should be postponed due to the Wuhan Coronavirus and Trump will be in office until further notice. Bet a vaccine and/or cure is found in record time.
Lol, Tom they would move fast for sure...
ReplyDeleteBefore this is all over, I am sure that the Dems will definitely use that one as another threat if Trump stays in office! After all, he is a DICTATOR you know!
ReplyDeleteWell I hope this virus situation gets resolved before tick season starts or we'll be dealing with corona with lyme
ReplyDeleteI like that and I am gonna steal it.
ReplyDeleteGood Grief Skipper. :):)
ReplyDeleteWe've got way too many Beer drinkers on here! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat are you talking about Gary? That is Fake News... :):)
ReplyDeleteWay back in the day the only time we ever panic bought anything was when they yelled last call...😎😎😎
ReplyDeleteWell back than Kevin me being prepared I watched the clock and ordered early..adapt improvised and over come...😎
ReplyDeleteLying, POS Sleepy Joe on Fox with canned bullshit attack on Trump. So much for not politicizing the media enhanced crisis.
ReplyDelete"Bite Me" Biden trying to sound like a leader. He has a plan he wants to implement. The problem is half is already being done and half is typical Democrat bullshit.
ReplyDeleteHe is taking credit for fixing the "Ebola" virus.
ReplyDeleteHell that didn't do a thing until 1000 had died..
DeleteI watch that Tom, he sounded like the asshole he is, but good that he was on the prompter so he couldn't make any Gaffs and No questions. And wants to throw money at this, what the Hell does he think that 8.3 Billion the Dems forced on Trump is going...and doing.
ReplyDeleteI like Chris Plant too.
ReplyDeletePart 1 of 2
ReplyDeleteunrelated to current discussion.... but wanted to share this.

What the mainstream media isn't telling you about Trump's reelection bid
President doesn't face credible opponents, but supporters are voting at primaries in record numbers
By Scott Walker - - Thursday, March 12, 2020
ANALYSIS/OPINION:
Joe Biden had a big night on Tuesday. The mainstream media is all over that story.
Just as big of a story is what is happening in the Republican primaries in 2020. Unbelievable numbers of voters are turning out for President Trump.
Skeptics will note that Mr. Trump has token opposition in the Republican primary contests. That is exactly my point. There is no real reason to come out in mass as the president does not face a credible opponent, yet they are turning out.
In New Hampshire, Mr. Trump received 129,734 votes. When Barack Obama faced no real opposition in 2012, he received 49,080 votes in the New Hampshire primary. That is a huge gap.
This was also true in a number of other states. In Alabama, Mr. Trump received 695,469 votes compared to then-President Obama’s 241,167 votes in 2012. In Arkansas, it was 240,789 for Mr. Trump compared to 94,936 for Mr. Obama. In Texas, Mr. Trump’s total vote count of 1,889,006 was more than Mr. Obama (520,410) and more than the combined votes for Joe Biden, Bernie Sanders, Mike Bloomberg and Elizabeth Warren.
Part 2 of 2:
ReplyDeleteSo why are Republicans turning out in such large numbers for the president in primary races when the outcome is not in question? They are ticked off.
Republicans are ticked off at the partisan impeachment process. They are ticked off at the biased mainstream media. And they are ticked off at the hysteria of the left. Republicans don’t typically protest, so the way they express their frustration is by voting.
Most people don’t remember this, but I had a primary during the 2012 Wisconsin recall election. One of the protesters collected enough signatures to get himself on the primary ballot as a Republican.
The media focused on the other primary to see who would face me that June. There were four candidates running as Democrats, but only two of them had the name identification, finances and organization to win. They were crisscrossing the state on the campaign trail and overwhelming the airwaves with TV ads.
On May 4, 2012, Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett received 390,109 votes, defeating Dane County Executive Kathleen Falk, who received 228,940 votes. Mr. Barrett was a former member of Congress who ran for governor in 2002 and again in 2010. Ms. Falk ran for governor in 2002 and for attorney general in 2006.
Mr. Barrett and Ms. Falk had a hotly contested primary. Together, they garnered 619,049 votes.
In contrast, hardly anyone knew about our primary. The media ignored it. Since the recall was an extraordinary election, people would not normally vote on that date. Yet, we received 626,538 votes. That was more than the combined totals of the two major Democrat candidates.
It was at that point that we knew we had a fighting chance in the general election. Republican voters had watched the left occupy our state Capitol. They had watched the nasty protests and vial threats. But instead of responding in kind, they had a better way to express their frustration: They voted.
We won the recall election a month later with more votes and a higher percentage of the vote than we did the first election. Why?
The liberals started out with all of the energy. Protesters came from around the state and eventually across the country to occupy our state Capitol. Soon, conservatives woke up. On Election Day, we turned out in mass.
But what ultimately put us over the top was overwhelming support from independents. Our research later showed that while many did not agree with every action I took, they felt the recall was not fair. I had done what I said I would do, and they were satisfied to see how it all played out. They had a general sense of fairness.
Ironically, this week marks the anniversary of the day I signed the law that prompted the recall in the first place: Wisconsin Act 10. Since then, the tax burden on state taxpayers has gone down by more than $13 billion while our schools continue to have some of the best graduation rates in the nation and highest ACT scores for states that test every student. Our pension is fully funded, schools and local governments have saved billions, and the rainy day fund was 190 times larger when I left than when we took office. Common sense conservative ideas work.
The same sense of fairness is at work in the primaries for president. Instead of protests, Republicans are showing up to vote. They are motivated. It is just like our primary in the recall election. That, along with the general feeling by many Midwest independents that the impeachment process was not fair (like many felt about my recall election), is why Mr. Trump is on track to win in November.
Blue, Ian, or whatever you choose to login as.... we know you're reading the blog. You can't help yourself. Everything your beloved demoNcrat party has set out to do against President Trump has ultimately failed! Face it dude, whether you're in your mama's basement playing with the dust bunnies from the window or playing in the women's lingerie at the department stores.... you is on the losing side!
DeleteI love this part of the article where it talks about New Hamshire...
"In New Hampshire, Mr. Trump received 129,734 votes. When Barack Obama faced no real opposition in 2012, he received 49,080 votes in the New Hampshire primary. That's a huge gap."
here's more factual stuff that you won't hear from the Liberal Biased Mainstream Media....
Delete"This was also true in a number of other states. Obama (520,410) and more than the combined votes for Joe Biden, Bernie Sanders, Mike Bloomberg and Elizabeth Warren."
Let that soak in Blue... print many copies and tape this to your walls....
One of his most moronic statements was the Wuhan virus could cause more deaths in the US than the military had in WW II. If he meant just the US military that would be around 500,000. If all soldiers that would be 21 to 25 million. Guess I better get my affairs in order. On second thought I don't feel the need.
