President Donald Trump remained confident that he won the election during his remarks at the White House Hanukkah party on Wednesday, ensuring his supporters that he could serve in the highest office for four more years with the help of "certain very important people" with wisdom and courage.
After wishing attendees a happy Hanukkah, Trump said of the 2020 presidential election, "We won this one and I really believe it's a much bigger victory than even the first one," according to Jewish Insider reporter Jacob Kornbluh.
"You can't have a country where somebody loses an election and he becomes president of the United States," the president told his supporters, referring to Democrat Joe Biden.
Trump added that with the assistance of "certain very important people, if they have wisdom and if they have courage, we are going to win this election in a landslide." The crowd then started chanting "four more years."
Trump's remarks come after Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton filed suit with the U.S. Supreme Court on Tuesday against Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. The papers claim that the states used the coronavirus pandemic to justify ignoring election laws and unlawfully enacted changes that skewed the election results.
The president and 17 other U.S. states have supported the lawsuit, which asks the court to stop the four states from voting in the Electoral College on Dec. 14 until it hears arguments in the case.
The other states "joined out of respect and out of love after they read the papers, but they read the papers and the papers were so compelling that everybody's just joining," Trump said of the suit at the Hanukkah party.
Paxton commented on Newsmax TV Wednesday, "I am encouraged that these other states have joined, and think there's a recognition that this is our last chance and we are running out of time."

Just the fear of biden is stalling an economy that was running on rocket fuel because they thought President Trump would be reelected. Now brakes are on and we're already moving backwards.

The Electoral College's vote will not end President Donald Trump's hopes for reelection, as his allies are planning to send an "alternative" slate of electors to Congress, senior White House adviser Stephen Miller argued Monday as electors gathered nationwide to cast their votes.
"The only date in the Constitution is Jan. 20," Miller said on Fox News' "Fox & Friends." "We have more than enough time to right the wrong of this fraudulent election result and certify Donald Trump as the winner of the election."
Miller added that "as we speak, an alternate slate of electors in the contested states is going to vote and we're going to send those results up to Congress. This will ensure that all of our legal remedies remain open. That means that if we win these cases in the courts, we can direct that the alternate state of electors be certified."
Miller said Trump supporters will be acting as "alternates" in the contested states of Michigan, Georgia, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania and submit their own unofficial results.
If Trump's campaign succeeds in any of its continued legal efforts in those states, the "alternate" electors would be recognized by a joint session of Congress when it convenes on Jan. 6 to count the electoral votes and officially declare the winner of the election, Miller said.
