The world became a little bit darker yesterday.
Yeah, I'm talking about the tragic but not unexpected passing of legendary talk radio giant Rush Limbaugh.
A little over a year he shared his terminal lung cancer diagnosis with us and told us the day would come when he no longer do his show.
Yesterday was that day.
I spent yesterday up at my son's house helping him replace a water well pump and got to talking about how something must be up with Rush.
We'd become accustomed to his fill in hosts every couple of weeks while he had his treatments but he always bounced back in a few days.
But he'd been off the air for the last couple of weeks this time.
Anyway, we finished up the pump project and I heard the news as I was headed home.
I am glad that my son lives out in the country on a dirt road because I had to pull over for a little bit to gather myself.
We all knew the day was coming.
I guess I just wasn't ready for it.
I've heard Rush described as a best friend I've never even met.
That's certainly the case here.
Farewell old friend.
You'll be missed more than you could have known...

I know a lot of people are shocked at the way today's democrat party is acting.
All I can say is Bullshit!
And then there's the argument that they've been hiding who and what they are and are just now coming out in the open.
Again, I call Bullshit!
The only thing that's really changed are today's American people.
We've turned into a nation of cowards and sheep.
I keep hearing stories about you dumbasses being shocked by the way they're acting and now suddenly you regret your vote.
To that I say, Fuck You.
You voted for this shit. Now sit down and shut up...
