The best friend I've never even met...

The world became a little bit darker yesterday.

Yeah, I'm talking about the tragic but not unexpected passing of legendary talk radio giant Rush Limbaugh.

A little over a year he shared his terminal lung cancer diagnosis with us and told us the day would come when he no longer do his show.

Yesterday was that day.

I spent yesterday up at my son's house helping him replace a water well pump and got to talking about how something must be up with Rush.

We'd become accustomed to his fill in hosts every couple of weeks while he had his treatments but he always bounced back in a few days.

But he'd been off the air for the last couple of weeks this time.

Anyway, we finished up the pump project and I heard the news as I was headed home.

I am glad that my son lives out in the country on a dirt road because I had to pull over for a little bit to gather myself.

We all knew the day was coming.

I guess I just wasn't ready for it.

I've heard Rush described as a best friend I've never even met.

That's certainly the case here.

Farewell old friend.

You'll be missed more than you could have known...

  2. He had "talent on lone from God" and was so masterful that to make it fair to his opponents, he would "tie half his brain behind his back" just to make it fair! What an amazing Conservative voice in America. Rest in Peace Rush!

  3. We have lost a very big part of our movement. I dont think he can be replaced. It will take several people and years to get to where he left off. RIP

  4. Rush was a brilliant political analyst. And entertaining as hell.

He always said you could tell how afraid the left was of someone by how hard they came after them. And they hated him with a passion. They tried for years to get him taken off the air. Boycotts. Threats. Every trick they knew. And all he did was get stronger and grow his audience. He is responsible for more people waking up from the leftist commie nightmare and becoming conservative than any other person ever. Without Rush, we wouldn't have had President Donald Trump.

He will be missed. There is no one who can fill his shoes. No one should even try. Just keep doing what you do, and let the legacy of Rush live forever.

R.I.P Rush. You have left America a much better place, and equipped an army to fight the commie takeover. I hope he knew that. I hope he knew his teaching and leadership established the conservative army that is all we have left now to fight this takeover. But he trained us well. And we'll keep fighting.

    Thanks Rush.

  5. To me, he most importantly a pioneer. Without him AM radio and comms would be much different, underground, or nonexistent. He created terms like "fem-nazi" and "drive by media", to describe the counter culture and its nuance of attack. Believed in himself in the beginning, and continued to build a media icon. His ability to reach youth was uncanny, and he never lost sight of that either. I know many adults and kids that read his books.

I am not sure we could ever measure his contributions to freedom.

He can't be replaced. But the movement is not lost.

..."It's never gonna be time to throw in the towel. There's never gonna be a time to give up on America"...

There are many to fill the gap, but the shoes of the pioneer can't be filled. It's all of our duty to do the same for our kids to do the same. Spread the message Hope isn't lost, we're always in the fight, and American exceptionalism is real.

    God speed El Rushbo.

  9. Make sure your outside vent were it blows out isnt covered up with snow. They will shut down if that vent gets plugged.

  10. Sarge, if your furnace has an electric igniter instead of a pilot light that could be your problem. The can go out and be intermittent. Easy fix. Also the thermocouple can be intermittent, also easy fix. But if they are acting up they will stop working at some point.

  22. I'm still good, but nothing will surprise me at this point. America has been occupied by totalitarian fascist communists. They hold the white house and the House and Senate. They are in virtual complete control of the media. The democrat party surrendered to them years ago, and is now nothing but a functioning mouthpiece for them.

It's not hyperbole to say they are using all the same tactics the Nazi party used to control gullible Germans. And remember, that didn't happen overnight. But look how it turned out.

  23. Wow. I was just typing a comment, a pretty lengthy one about the coming totalitarian takeover and suddenly I was logged out, comment gone. Logged back in, but that was really strange. Things are happening friends. The commies are working.

  26. Can you imagine the early American pioneers starting out across the country without their guns? The west would never have been settled.

The German people had nothing to fear from the SS until the propaganda of the Third Reich prepared their minds for so-called National Socialism. When they "bought" National Socialism, they also accepted the SS and suppression of human liberty. In other words, psychological warfare conquered the Germans before the Nazi SS and their eventual military defeat. This is the order of events to keep in mind.

Authoritarianism or criminal government can never feel secure from fear as long as millions of people own guns. Likewise, when the people have no arms, they have no security and no hope of security.

After all, why would an individual ever "need" a firearm? This is the question that government and its media watchdogs want you to ask yourself. Their answer is that there is no reason. The free man, the thinking man, has a different answer.

  27. The oppressors always assault us first with words that lead to disarmament of the mass mind into a state of apathy, resembling deep sleep. Change agents cleverly transferred the word Republic into democracy for the purpose of the numbing of the senses.

Above all, be perceptive in your vetting of the words you see and hear.

Passive words like "weapons of war" and "democracy" disarm the mind, and then it is only a matter of time before you volunteer to hand over your guns.

"To keep and bear arms" is the opposite of democracy, which is merely a euphemism for despotic government.

  32. You would think that they would get the message after all the power outages and heating costs. You cant heat without a flame in the weather that we just had.

the Kansas Senate recently passed Senate Bill 24, the “Energy Choice Act,” which would prevent local municipalities from banning the use of Natural Gas. The bill passed by a vote of 27-10, with three senators absent,

Lawrence has not passed such a ban — technically — but the city has passed an ordinance that calls for a move to “carbon-free” energy sources by 2035.

Lawrence officials have said that natural gas wouldn’t qualify as “carbon-free” because of its emissions — which are less than half of petroleum or coal — and “environmental impacts,” but would allow “landfill methane.”
The problem is that landfill methane isn’t actually methane. Where natural gas is generally between 80% and 99% methane, landfill gas is somewhere between 40% and 60% and can contain toxic chemicals such as dioxins, meaning it non only contains — pound for pound — less energy than conventional natural gas, it is also a much dirtier source of energy as the main combustion products of conventional natural gas are carbon dioxide and water vapor.

  33. Red Alert: Democrats take first steps to censor conservative TV channels OANN, Newsmax and Fox News
    By Peter Barry Chowka

In a shocking development in the ongoing censorship debate, two influential Democrat members of the House of Representatives have taken the first steps to challenge the continued availability of conservative channels Newsmax, OANN, and Fox News on mainstream cable, satellite, and streaming television platforms. Multichannel News reported on the story yesterday in an article titled “House Dems Pressure Distributors to Justify Carrying Fox News, Others.”

California Democrats Reps. Anna Eshoo and Jerry McNerney have written to a dozen cable, satellite and streaming companies calling on them to better combat disinformation – which they principally identify as Fox, Newsmax and One America News Network (OANN) – and grilling them on what they plan to do about it.

Among other things, the letter to the companies by Eshoo and McNerney attacked the three conservative news channels as “misinformation rumor mills and conspiracy theory hotbeds that produce content that leads to real harm.”

The Democrats’ February 22 letter to Comcast, AT&T, Dish, Verizon, Roku and the seven other companies demanded that they respond to a laundry list of seven intrusive and intimidating questions:

  34. The left are bound and determined to stop Trump. And they know that the only way to do that is to take all his supporters out with him. If they can keep taking out his main supporters and cause enough trouble they think that he will bow down to them. Look at the pillow guy being sued for millions. Any politician that backs Trump gets smeared. And they dont care about family or their kids. They think that every one is far game. And that means that we are targets as well. We have big bullseye's on our back. Just ask some of the people that had to fight for their Trump hats. Its going to get worse as time goes on. The left wants complete control of this country. And just who is in charge of them? Well it damn sure aint ole Joe. There more to who what when and when than we see out in the open. Keep your powder dry and ready as they are coming for us.
