Chuck Schumer Calls for Delay of Kavanaugh Confirmation Vote to Investigate ‘Rape Attempt’ Accusation

7,954

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) said in a statement on Sunday the Senate must delay Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation vote in the wake of a Washington Post story that detailed the nominee’s alleged high-school “rape attempt.”

Will the Godless democrat's latest and deepest trip to the cesspo0ol to date work?

Will they successfully get this Thursday's confirmation vote delayed?

There's only one way it can happen.

And that's for the senate republicans to allow it to happen.

Will they show some backbone for a change and stand up to these lying bastards?

Or will they cave like a bunch of sniveling cowards they're known to be from time to time?

At this point it's impossible to say.

What I do know is that if the republicans screw this up we can kiss the House and probably the Senate goodbye.

Americans from one end of this country to the other will turn on them faster than anything we've ever seen before.

The ball is in their court...

This is going to stir things up.

The woman accusing Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault came forward with her explosive allegations on Sunday, saying the supposed attack "derailed me substantially for four or five years" and claiming that the episode rendered her "unable to have healthy relationships with men."

I call bullshit as well. If you are a victim of an assault, report it to the authorities. Don't save it up for the time when you could squeeze money and fame out of it.
Her unproven allegations with out criminal filings involving underage drinking and debauchery change nothing.

The whole farce of the pound(#) me too movement is sad considering those making the push are the guiltiest, and have even been proven to assault children. It's so dangerous it detracts from real situations and real cases.

It's like a Kennedy preaching about drinking and driving, and how it could hurt people.

Safe's right. Fucking hypocrisy. And their only intent is to weaponize morality when it's convenient.

Want still more proof? The left protects the pope, because keeping quiet about pedophilia and homosexuality is okay when you are a progressive. Regardless of the kids....

This story sounds like a bunch of BS, but it will be blood in shark infested waters for the Liberals. Sorry but I don't believe stuff that comes out 35 years later with lots of vague memories. Can she remember the other people in the room?

  5. Who would have thought:
Another GOP member of the committee, Jeff Flake of Arizona, told Fox News that he was "uncomfortable moving forward with a 'yes' vote until we hear from" Ford.

Then is Graham really laying ground work to actually listen to this lying women:
South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham, a Republican on the committee, said late Sunday he'd "gladly listen" to Ford so that he could compare her accusations "against all the other information" the panel has on Kavanaugh. But, he said, if Ford does testify, "it should be done immediately" so as not to delay the confirmation vote.

I think some closet Trump haters are going to sneak around like snakes? Well they actually are doing that within DOJ, FBI,Congress and some in the White House.

  6. Sen. Grahamnesty is just paying lipservice. Better optics. His emphasis on not delaying was an important inclusion.
There is no evidence. Maybe, just maybe a witness? Doubt it. He said, she said. Even then it won't stand trial. They did this same crap with another justice, and it amounted to nothing. Ford has made her statement in a letter, and at the eleventh hour. And as a psychology prof at a liberal California school? Enough said.

The current republican congress is stupid. But they aren't this stupid. The vote will be Thursday.

Let's keep in mind the left does these sort of things to distract. The Kerry situation is much more serious. Plus the media will be busy trying to hide the primarily black looting in NC, and pimping the fact that our president created a hurricane.

Just my little deplorable view and take...

  7. The problem I see is that we have a bunch of RINO's up there and most of them don't think any thing will happen to them. They think that the people will keep voting for them thinking that we need them to make a majority. Remember last time when we had to hold our nose's just to get a majority in the senate . We don't really have any up for vote. I think Dist. 2 & 3 maybe have some for the house. They are all in a club and they will do what benefits them and to H with us. We are in a S H sandwich and were going to get ate from either side.

They'll never report that this poor innocent helpless little girl has been an active member of the so called RESISTANCE.

My message to the Senate republicans is simple.

It's time to grow a spine.

Either put up or shut the hell up...

  13. The numnut Sen. Dianne Feinstein’s September surprise exploded yesterday as Christine Blasey Ford, a professor in California, came forward as the woman accusing Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault in 1981. The Washington Post broke the tale she was apparently reluctant to tell. With Kavanaugh about to swing the court to fascism, according to the left, well, her reluctance relented. Now we must decide how the Senate should react to this last-gasp attack.

The answer is pretty simple: He should be confirmed. For whatever reason, Feinstein decided that these allegations should remain under wraps even from other Democrats during the hearing process. That was the time Kavanaugh and witnesses could have been confronted by these allegations. But no, Feinstein waited, and threw this grenade into the final moments of his nomination.

Even the left finds this approach completely bankrupt.

  14. We all know because of what the liberals have done to this country we’re headed for some type of serious disaster … very soon.

I don’t know what it will be … maybe it’s a natural disaster … or a power grid failure … or a complete financial collapse of our money system … or … something else so horrible I can’t even imagine it …

All I know is nobody in the government is telling the truth—they keep telling us all “not to worry” but I know it’s just rhetoric used to keep the people in line.

They want us to keep our guard down. Better be prepared and keep the gun oil handy.

  30. Yet another discrepancy has emerged in Christine Blasey Ford’s story about Judge Brett Kavanaugh.

Ford originally alleged that Kavanaugh forcibly groped her at a party while both were in high school. In a detailed write-up of her account in The Washington Post, she said that Kavanaugh assaulted her in the presence of another boy. This boy has denied any wrongdoing on his and Kavanaugh’s part.

In notes she provided to a therapist in 2012 about the incident, numerous discrepancies were found. One was that Kavanaugh was never named in her original allegation. The other is that the therapist noted there were four boys present for the incident, and not just one other. (RELATED: There’s a Discrepancy in Kavanaugh Accuser’s Account of Sexual Assault.)

Now another discrepancy was just revealed. Ford hired lawyer Debra Katz to advocate on her behalf. Katz went on CNN to relay Ford’s story once again but added an extra detail that wasn’t provided in The WaPo piece.

    From the Daily Caller:

During the interview, Katz revealed that there was another girl present at the party, which allegedly took place in 1982 while Kavanaugh was attending Georgetown Prep. Ford previously told the Washington Post that there were four boys at the party but never indicated if there were other girls beside herself.

Good Grief she can't Rember anything and they call her a professor???

  31. She shouldn't even be involved in the hearing process, just shows you the whole system is full of spinless, greedy, power hungry slime.

Off topic, I get tired of hearing we are a democracy, we are a republic. However, the way the constitution is ignored we don't act like it. My understanding a democracy- majority rule- there is no constitution to follow. In that case we would be ruled by the east and west coast liberals. Republic has a constitution and the hell with the majority, change the constitution or follow it.

    1. Change the Constitution or follow it.... I am for following it.

    2. It is good we have a way to change the constitution. You like the second time it was amended, well I bet you do anyway. It is very hard to do and that is also good. To make a change you to have a two-thirds vote in both the House of Representatives and the Senate, then each two-thirds of the state legislatures have to approve. Not an easy thing to make an amendment to the constitution. The last one I remember was in 1971 that allowed 18 year old person voting rights. Also, there is a was for two-thirds of the states to vote for a constitution convention. That won't happen, because then you open up to many changes like term limits for congress, judges ................

Now we have lifetime political appointed judges changes the constitution, they do this by interpreting and twisting the constitution to meet their own views.

  33. Hey Dive, I have a question. Why aren't you doing something about it?

I understand where you are coming from. I understand your beef, much of it is the same as mine.

Why aren't you involved with the convention of states? Are you aware of what's happening right now? Do you know the count of how many states have already signed on and passed certain items through their respective legislatures?

    Here's a homework assignment:
What's the number of states that have joined the current "convention" taking place?

I think you might be surprised.
And maybe you will even sign on and start getting the regular mailers and emails.

    That goes for everyone.

  40. Dive-

The answer is 28 of the 34 required to begin the convention.

The consensus of agreement is on three issues.

    Balanced budget amendment.

    Immigration protection.

    Term limits.

If more people would get involved you could see the constitution altered. And there would be nothing DC could do about it. I'm involved, help with emails that need to be sent to add pressure. I work so it's hard to make the phone calls needed. Every state has a citizen group that leads the fight, and they are all easily reached.

For people that say action is required, well there is the option.

Here's a place to start and getting the info.
    Get to it, would ya?
