How about that toxic masculinity?

So here's a little story for you about this toxic masculinity we keep hearing about. Yesterday on the local facebook I hear there's a fire in the town just up the road, Mountain Mesa, about two miles from me as the crow flies. One mountain ridge between me and the fire.So I do what everybody here does, I jumped in the car and drove over to have a look.

Here's what I see from in front of my house:
When I get there, here's what I see.
So I join the crowd and watch them work. Tankers and helicopters flying right into the heart of this thing to drop water and retardant on the fire. A hundred young Calfire firefighters charging right into the heart of this bitch. They drive bulldozers and trucks into this thing right up that mountain.

So they were still up there when I went back just before dark. And they're still up there today. They get taken to the top of that high peak in the back of that picture by helicopter. Then they dig a fire line by hand to stop that thing. And they don't come down until it's out. And they walk down. They drove bulldozers up that mountain. They walked up. They drove trucks. And they put that fire out. Today they are mopping up.

And did I mention it's 103 degrees here today, and yesterday?

Honestly, I don't know how these young men can even walk with those giant brass balls clanking around.

So if this is that toxic masculinity these faggot liberals hate so much, give me more of it. These men are the best our young Americans have to offer. They dug a trench around 200 acres of mountain terrain to stop this fire. And tomorrow they'll do it again if asked.

I wish I could stand at the bottom of that mountain and say thank you and hand each of these guys a cold beer when they walk out. These are what American men are all about.

So while some chickenshit commie kid is living in his parents basement playing "resistance" and hiding behind a mask throwing rocks at cops thinking he's some kind of hero for it, these are real men doing what real men do. Saving lives and property at massive risk to their own lives and tremendous sacrifice.

So next time somebody starts up that toxic masculinity shit, think about these young men. Most of them early twenties, doing what American men have done for a couple hundred years. And know our country is still in good hands. Because these guys will be in charge before long. That's how natural selection works. The cream always rises to the top. And these guys are the best of the best.

  10. Good to hear from you Safe and great story that you pasted along! Just makes you wonder how long California or for that matter, any other state would last, if they pulled all of the "toxic" men out and turned this work over to the snowflake brigade! About 5 seconds is my bet!

  12. Fire is out by the way. No homes damaged. Somebody lost their water tank for their well, but that's about it.

    I think a lot about these brave young men who do this every day while other young men the same age are hiding in college campuses demanding "safe spaces" where they won't have to hear any opinions they disagree with because they make them feel "unsafe". You want to see unsafe, snowflake? Strap on about 100 pounds of gear wearing a protective suit and helmet in 103 degree heat and charge into a raging wildfire not knowing which way it will turn. Not knowing if the fire will grow beyond control and trap you. Then you'll know what unsafe is you pussies. Somebody disagreeing with you about Trump isn't unsafe. It's America. If hearing an opinion you don't agree with causes you any degree of fear you are a pussy and need to stay in your mom's basement and never leave. Let her feed you Doritos and macaroni and cheese for the rest of your life while real men do the work necessary to keep our country safe from real threats.

    And of course he'll bash this article being on the Washington Times.... but that's his problem... not mine.

    https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2019/aug/2/black-conservatives-defend-trump-blast-democratic-/

    "He's not racist: Black conservatives defend Trump, blast Democratic record in inner cities"
    "Democrats accused of deflecting attention from failed inner-city leadership with racism charge"

    By Valerie Richardson - The Washington Times - Friday, August 2, 2019

    an excerpt from the article:

    “I don’t think the president’s racist. I think he’s honest,” said Mr. Woodson, a MacArthur Foundation “genius grant” recipient who heads the Woodson Center in Washington, D.C. “As I tweeted out, he’s rude, crude and true.”

    Take that blue..... Robert Woodson speaking up in support of President Trump and correctly defined what President Trump said about his comment on Balitmore, Maryland.... “I don’t think the president’s racist. 15. And that blue is something you'll never see in the pro liberal bs media outlets!

    President Trump has more support than what the liberal biased media is saying.... just like in 2016.... they beefed up Hillary so much that Trump's win totally blindsided them....

    And ya wanna know what else blue.... Donald Trump IS going to win re-election!!

    But you just stay in the shadows making like you're not reading Kevin & Safe's blogs..... just stay in the shadows and lurk around.... we all know you are too COWARDLY to come and post your typical croakings of crapola!

    And the 2020 Election was just handed to President Trump.

    They just don't want their failed attempt to fade into the sunset.... they are so adamant to make themselves look like the brainless fools that they are!

    They can kiss their "Democratic Majority in the House" goodbye.... and also their Democratic seats in the US Senate!!

    ReplyDelete
  18. Mueller's Report failed miserably and they're still relying on this Russian Collusion and Obstruction debacle that they are committing political suicide!

    ReplyDelete
  19. Lol... It's Russia 4 ever, Rikki.

    When all you have is insanity and Russia it's what you go with...

    ReplyDelete
  20. Yep Kevin.... even though it's been proven that there was no collusion, no obstruction..... the idiots just don't want their junk going into the sunset.

    I also feel that there are Democrats who are fed up with the idiot Democrats in Washington.... but the media won't talk about those Democrats..... The Democratic Party rejected a lot of their own when they knowingly, willfully cheated Bernie Sanders in 2016 for Hillary Clinton. There's Democrats who wouldn't vote for Hillary that they crossed party lines and voted for Donald Trump.

    There's also a lot of moderate Democrats who do not support the "Far Left" Democrats - regardless of what the liberal mainstream media pushes.

    The drama queens in the House of Representatives are so afraid of losing another National Election to the Republicans that they are staging this fiasco of pushing for impeachment.... they are setting aside real issues to pursue impeaching President Trump because they know that he WILL WIN in 2020.

    ReplyDelete
  21. When I mentioned that there's a lot of moderate Democrats who do not support the "Far Left" Democrats in Washington...... I mean the folks who aren't in political offices.

Your president is going down for the count and when he is out of office, he’s going to end up in prison. 41. Here's a refresher on how some of our former patriots handled negative comments about our country.

    JFK'S
    Secretary of State, Dean Rusk, was in France in the early 60's when
    DeGaulle decided to pull out of NATO. DeGaulle said he wanted all US
    military out of France as soon as possible.

    Rusk responded,
    "Does that include those who are buried here?"

    DeGaulle
    did not respond.

    You could have heard a pin drop.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    When in England,
    at a fairly large conference, Colin Powell was asked by the
    Archbishop of Canterbury if our plans for Iraq were just an example of
    'empire building' by George Bush.
    He answered by saying,
    "Over the years, the United States has sent many of
    its fine young men and women into great peril to fight for freedom
    beyond our borders. The only amount of land we have ever asked for
    in return is enough to bury those that did not return."
    You could have heard a pin drop.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    There was a conference in France
    where a number of international engineers
    were taking part, including French and American. During a break,
    one of the French engineers came back into the room saying, "Have you
    heard the latest dumb stunt Bush has done? He has sent an aircraft
    carrier to Indonesia to help the tsunami victims. What does he
    intend to do, bomb them?"

    A Boeing engineer
    stood up and replied quietly: "Our carriers have three
    hospitals on board that can treat several hundred people; they are
    nuclear powered and can supply emergency electrical power to
    shore facilities; they have three cafeterias with the capacity to
    feed 3,000 people three meals a day, they can produce several thousand
    gallons of fresh water from sea water each day, and they carry half a
    dozen helicopters for use in transporting victims and injured to and
    from their flight deck. We have eleven such ships;
    how many does France have?"

    You could have heard a pin drop.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    A U.S. Navy Admiral
    was attending a naval conference that included
    Admirals from the U.S., English, Canadian, Australian and French
    Navies At a cocktail reception, he found himself standing with a large
    group of officers that included personnel from most of those countries.
    Everyone was chatting away in English as they sipped their drinks but a
    French admiral suddenly complained that, whereas Europeans learn many
    languages, Americans learn only English. He then asked, "Why is it that
    we always have to speak English in these conferences rather than
    speaking French?"
    Without hesitating,
    the American Admiral replied, "Maybe it's because the
    Brit's, Canadians, Aussie's and Americans arranged it so you wouldn't
    have to speak German."
    You could have heard a pin drop.
    AND
    THIS STORY FITS RIGHT IN WITH THE ABOVE...
    Robert Whiting,
    an elderly gentleman of 83, arrived in Paris by plane.
    At French Customs, he took a few minutes to locate his passport
    in his carry on.
    "You have been to France before, monsieur?”
    the customs officer asked sarcastically.
    Mr. Whiting
    admitted that he had been to France previously.
    "Then you should know enough to have your passport ready."
    The American said,
    "The last time I was here, I didn't have to show it."
    “Impossible...
    Americans always have to show their passports on arrival in France !"
    The American senior
    gave the Frenchman a long hard look. Then he
    quietly explained, ''Well, when I came ashore at Omaha Beach on D-Day in
    1944 to help liberate this country, I couldn't find a single Frenchmen
    to show a passport to."
    You could have heard a pin drop.
  44. What are firefighters saying ?
    (from the Guardian, link attached ) "As Los Angeles fire chief Daryl Osby took the podium, strong gusts swirled smoke, ash and dust through grey skies. Along with updates on progress in fighting the fire, he said this blaze signified a shift: fire crews are now facing the most erratic and challenging fight of their lives.Climate change, Osby said, was undeniably a part of why the fires burning in northern and southern California were more devastating and destructive than in years past."https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2018/nov/11/
    la-fire-chief-climate-change-california-wildfiresAnd from the Global Reality Project, link attached below
     "Every first responder on stage could agree: over the course of their long careers, they’ve seen the nature of fires change in both California and Australia. Above all, firefighters are experiencing the same things scientists are observing: first, that fires are bigger than they used to be and second, that fire seasons are longer than ever.Climate change literally adds fuel to the fire. Simply, warm weather is coming sooner and lasting longer. Precipitation patterns are changing and drought is coming more often.In addition to being a former deputy fire chief, Chief Thompson is a trained Climate Reality Leader. He’s been giving presentations on the reality of the climate crisis for over 10 years and has seen minds and hearts transformed by the time his talks end. “I get so many people that come up to me after those presentations and say to me, ‘Now I get it, now I understand. It didn’t make sense before.’… The vast majority of people, once it’s been explained to them… they act on the message.”WHEN FIREFIGHTERS SPEAK OUT ON CLIMATE CHANGE, IT’S OUR RESPONSIBILITY TO SPEAK UPIf you’re feeling inspired after hearing Chiefs Karstens, Pimlott, and Thompson speak, there are plenty ways you can turn that inspiration into action. "https://www.climaterealityproject.org/blog/facing-reality-firefighters-climate-frontlines
    But of course the armchair intellectuals here know much more than firefighters, scientists, researchers of all stripes, and on and on.
    Then there's poor little Rikki. Spouting off about contributions to Trump vs. to democrats. You miss the point. The democrats are in the midst of a primary. If you look at the entire amount of contributions, democrats have collected over $227,000. Trump as you cite, $124,000. Get your abacus out and do the math.
    There is also this ongoing assumption that "blue" cities are real shit holes. You miss the point once again. The 100 poorest counties are red. The cities with the highest level of dysfunction are in red states. Detroit, St. Louis, Kansas City, Cleveland, and yes, even though it's a small town, Topeka. Cities need the support of the states they're part of. Most red states don't have the money. You conveniently ignore the most successful cities - Seattle, Portland, San Diego, Boston, NYC, DC, Denver, etc. I would recommend you read an article published in The Washingtonian June 2019. The article is entitled "Inside the Amazon Deal". It identifies the factors Bezos was looking for in a city for his Amazon HQ 2. No, this is not a packing plant, this is a hi-tech facility that will employ over 25,000 people with salaries over $150,000. The key is education. Generally speaking, education in red states sucks. The author describes the theories of an Italian American Berkeley economist. His conclusion is that America will depend on a number of hi-tech urban areas. He identifies five - NY, Washington D.C., Boston, Seattle, the SF Bay Area, and Los Angeles. ALL OF THEM are in blue states.
    So you go on ranting away... it was fun but sad at the same time. And no, my wife doesn't read this. She read it once eons ago, and said it was the most depressing thing she had ever read. Good luck making those M & M's.
