We're doing just fine here in Kansas...

It always cracks me up when Blue starts bagging on Kansas.

Somehow or another he believes we're uncivilized and backwards.

If only we'd open our eyes and accept his progressive ideas we'd all be so much better off.

I think I'll pass.

All is well here in the Heartland...

  1. Try this one on for size.

A top Hollywood motion picture executive has been arrested in DC and charged with rape.

There's another one of your Woke progressives enlightening us, Blue.

I wouldn't trade places with you for all the money in the world...

  2. Quit being such kill-joys!! You'd be totally delighted to view a tramp defecating right next to your open air café. After all, that's what open air dining is all about, right?

Those woke diners should be true to their "ideals" and offer the tramp some food. True, he would probably eschew the vegan stuff they have and would much prefer some Mad Dog 20/20 to that hoity-toity wine they're doubtless imbibing, but hey; the tramp can't be wrong EVERY time!

BOZ!! Wherever you are!! D.C. needs to emulate San Fran again!! After all, you don't want to be mistaken for some "red" locale, right?

  3. It's nothing but a 3 ring circus of bumbling idiots in the Democratic life - blue knows it - just don't want to admit that he's in with the wrong crowd.

He also won't admit that he really wants to be back in Kansas away from the swamps' cess pool.

Did y'all take notice of Jeff Klinzman? The former English professor at Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa?

He admits to being a member of Antifa and wants Antifa to kill all evangelical Christians..... it's crazy assed loons like this that they should check to see if he's got any guns instead of picking on good Americans trying to protect their 2nd Amendment Rights -

As for me and mine, living in Kansas suits us just fine - it doesn't take too long of a ride to drive in the country - viewing the rolling hills and corn, wheat, and soybean fields..... today is a nice day, might do a drive here shortly to enjoy the countryside. Blue is invious of us, he just doesn't want to admit it.... he doesn't have to..... we all know he'd rather be living here.

  16. So, some weirdo guy that remembered me from high school requested to be friends on facebook. He says he remembers me well and the parties we saw each other at, nope, I don't remember him. Not even a blip on my radar. Anyway, after seeing my pro Trump posts and anti dem post he has the nerve to say "I am disappointed in you Janet". I replied, it happens. Then blocked him. What a weirdo. Be careful out there folks. Those people are out there walking amongst us. Even if they say they are a friend of a friend. Be aware.

    OPINION
DOJ's Inspector General report worse for Comey than the Mueller report was for Trump
    by Tiana Lowe | August 29, 2019 11:44 AM

Despite declining to prosecute James Comey, the Department of Justice's Inspector General report released today proved damning for what little reputation remains of the former FBI Director. His sophomoric victory lap is somehow more petty than that of President Trump's after the release of the Mueller report.

Whereas the Special Counsel investigation simply proved that Trump's only crime was stupidity, the IG report provides irrefutable evidence that Comey, a career prosecutor, violated several known terms of his employment and policies of the FBI and Department of Justice.

The Office of the Inspector General found that, contrary to Comey's assertions, his memos documenting interactions with Trump were in fact public records.

The report lambastes his "characterization" of the memos as "wholly incompatible with the plain language of the statutes, regulations, and policies defining Federal records, and the terms of Comey's FBI Employment Agreement." Not only did the report find that Comey's "own statements and actions demonstrate the inherently governmental nature of the Memos," but also that "none of the members of Comey's senior leadership team" concurred.

Thus, when Comey texted the fourth memo to his friend Daniel Richman, a Columbia University professor, to disseminate the contents to the New York Times with the express intention of instigating the appointment of a Special Counsel, he "violated FBI policy and the requirements of his FBI Employment Agreement."

The report goes into further details of Comey's mishandling of the memos with regards to their physical location and distribution outside of the FBI, but most damning is the report's detailing of Comey's indirect contact with the New York Times:

By disclosing the contents of Memo 4, through Richman, to The New York Times, Comey made public sensitive investigative information related to an ongoing FBI investigation, information he had properly declined to disclose while still FBI Director during his March 20, 2017 congressional testimony. Comey was not authorized to disclose the statements he attributed to President Trump in Memo 4, which Comey viewed as evidence of an alleged attempt to obstruct the Flynn investigation and which were relevant to the ongoing Flynn investigation.

Comey clearly considered the contents of Memo 4 highly sensitive — in fact, as he stated in his June 8, 2017 congressional testimony, Comey and other senior leaders of the FBI had decided not to report the President’s statements to the Attorney General or Deputy Attorney General, and to keep the President’s statements “very closely held,” so that the FBI leadership could “figure out what to do with it down the road as our investigation progressed.” Comey placed in the public domain evidence relevant to the investigation of Flynn, and what he clearly viewed as evidence of an attempt to obstruct justice by President Trump. Rather than continuing to safeguard such evidence, Comey unilaterally and without authorization disclosed it to all.

  26. 2 of 3:

So yes, the quotation shared by Comey is technically correct. The report found that he did not have any direct contact with the press in sharing the memos, a notion that no serious person was proposing. But the media's rightful framing of Comey sharing the memos with Richman for the sole purpose of getting its contents to the Times was wholly accurate. He is owed no apology, because he was in fact a leaker.

Like Trump, Comey is celebrating a report that documents, in detail, his disregard for law and penchant for lies.

But unlike Trump, he actually did the thing he was initially accused of. He leaked federal records through a third party. Comey ought to be thanking his lucky stars that the DOJ declined to prosecute. Only a fool with more hubris than the president would think this report is a cause for celebration.

President Trump was vindicated - Comey actually did do what he was accused of and should have been indicted and convicted and thrown in jail!

Like the article says and quite accurately.... Comey is a fool.... and other descriptive words apply to Comey as well!

If they don't bring up and charge some people before the elections they will no doubt loose the house, and more than likely the senate also. All this talk and no action can cost Trump the POTUS. "Trump says he would be 'disloyal' to his fans by being interviewed on CNN"
By Andrew Blake - The Washington Times - Thursday, August 29, 2019

President Trump said Thursday that he thinks he would be “disloyal” to his supporters if he agreed to be interviewed on CNN.

“CNN, in particular, is begging me to do an interview, and I just think it would be disloyal to my followers,” Mr. Trump told Fox News Radio host Brian Kilmeade.

“I think it would be very disloyal to people that are Trump fans and people that voted for me and people that are going to vote again,” Mr. Trump added.

Mr. Trump has not sat for an interview with CNN since taking office in January 2017, The Hill reported. An analysis released in May by Media Matters for American, a progressive watchdog group, found that 11 out of 12 of the president’s most recent nationally televised interviews were granted to either Fox News or Fox Business.

Mr. Trump has recently railed against Fox News, however, taking aim at the network from his Twitter account for allegedly “heavily promoting the Democrats.”

“We have to start looking for a new News Outlet,” Mr. Trump tweeted Wednesday. “Fox isn’t working for us anymore!”

“I am not happy with Fox,” Mr. Trump told Mr. Kilmeade on Thursday.

Recent polling indicates Americans have widely varying opinions on the network, meanwhile. The results of a survey conducted by Suffolk University and USA Today released Wednesday found that Fox News was ranked first Wednesday in terms of being both the most and least trusted television network among U.S. voters.

'Disgraced and excoriated': Trump lambastes Comey following IG report
    by Mike Brest | August 29, 2019 02:16 PM | Updated Aug 29, 2019, 03:06 PM

President Trump went off on former FBI Director James Comey following the release of the Justice Department inspector general's report.

The report, which was released Thursday morning, details Comey's handling of "sensitive information." The investigation found "no evidence" that the former FBI director or his attorneys "released any of the classified information" to the press.

However, Inspector General Michael Horowitz did fault Comey for his behavior, saying that he "violated Department or FBI policy" through his "retention, handling, and dissemination of certain Memos." Horowitz also criminally referred the former FBI director to the Justice Department for his behavior, but the agency opted not to prosecute.

The report concluded that Comey "failed to live up to this responsibility. By not safeguarding sensitive information obtained during the course of his FBI employment, and by using it to create public pressure for official action, Comey set a dangerous example for the over 35,000 current FBI employees — and the many thousands more former FBI employees — who similarly have access to or knowledge of non-public information."

Comey, who was fired by the president in May 2017, took a victory lap on social media saying that he doesn't "need a public apology from those who defamed me, but a quick message with a 'sorry we lied about you' would be nice."

"James Comey is a proven liar and leaker," the White House said in a Thursday statement. "The Inspector General’s report shows Comey violated the most basic obligations of confidentiality that he owed to the United States Government and to the American people, 'in order to achieve a personally desired outcome.' Because Comey shamefully leaked information to the press — in blatant violation of FBI policies — the Nation was forced to endure the baseless politically motivated, two-year witch hunt. Comey disgraced himself and his office to further a personal political agenda, and this report further confirms that fact."

The president pushed back on Comey's request for an apology on social media.

Perhaps never in the history of our Country has someone been more thoroughly disgraced and excoriated than James Comey in the just released Inspector General’s Report. He should be ashamed of himself!

When a psychiatrist suffers from 'Trump Derangement Syndrome'
On CNN, Dr. Allen Frances calls Trump voters 'crazy' and the president 'evil'
By David Keene - The Washington Times - Thursday, August 29, 2019

    ANALYSIS/OPINION:

Dr. Allen Frances, former chairman of the Psychiatry Department at Duke University, exhibits all the symptoms of what Trumpsters like to call the “Trump Derangement Syndrome.” He despises the president and sees him as an existential threat to our very existence and even suggests that everyone who voted for the man is “crazy.”

He isn’t the first in his profession to use his position to condemn those with whom they disagree as evil, mentally ill or unfit. During the 1964 presidential campaign, some 1,800 psychiatrists put their name to an ad claiming that Sen. Barry Goldwater, the Republican nominee, was mentally unfit to serve as president.

Goldwater sued, won and the American Psychiatric Association adopted what became known as the “Goldwater Rule,” which held it unethical for a psychiatric practitioner to “diagnose” someone they hadn’t personally seen or without their permission.

Dr. Frances didn’t violate the Goldwater Rule technically, at least as it relates to the president, although his interviewer, CNN’s Brian Stelter, invited him to do so. Instead, he claimed those who voted for Mr. Trump are the “crazy” ones while the president himself is evil. Without challenge from his interviewer, Dr. Frances claimed this president is to this century what Adolf Hitler, Mao Zedong and Joseph Stalin were to the last … the very personification of evil.

Many “progressives” in today’s world apparently believe that anyone with whom they disagree is not just wrong, but evil. This part of the “progressive” belief system is utterly anti-democratic and potentially dangerous to the very existence of a free society. The logical next step is that since those with whom they disagree represent an existential threat to the rest of us, they must be silenced, shamed, shunned or even jailed.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Part 2 of 3

Dr. Frances disagrees with the president’s positions on climate change and tax policy and because of that disagreement he lumps the president in with the most murderous tyrants of the last century. The good doctor ranted over the weekend in a CNN interview that the president will before he leaves office be responsible for more death and suffering than all three tyrants — combined.

As any historian could tell Dr. Frances, that’s one heck of a lot of death and suffering. The three 20th century tyrants set out to kill more than 100 million people by shooting, gassing or starving those who stood in their way or who — like Europe’s Jews, Russia’s Kulaks and Ukraine’s nationalists — happened to be born into groups they wanted to wipe out.

To suggest that Mr. Trump is as bad or worse not only unfairly maligns the president, it minimizes the enormity of the crimes of the three men who made the 20th century the bloodiest in history.

The deaths the tyrants of the 20th century visited upon humanity were not the by-products of well-intentioned, but wrong-headed policies, but of a deep-seated desire to rid the world of millions of people. So, one has to assume that in the mind of the good doctor, lurks the suspicion that cutting taxes, for example, will not only result in millions of deaths, but that Mr. Trump wants to cut them precisely so people will die.

One must assume, given the doctor’s charge that he would like the president and his henchmen brought to justice. Perhaps once those he supports regain power they could convene a Nuremberg-like tribunal to mete out appropriate sentences to Mr. Trump and those who he believes helped him kill so many. Many progressives would no doubt welcome such a spectacle and be excited by the possibility that criminals such as the president might end their lives at the end of a rope.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Part 3 of 3

CNN invited Dr. Frances to appear precisely because he holds a psychiatric degree and hoped he would further the networks’ current narrative that Donald J. Trump is a raving maniac who must be driven from office and view the Twenty-Fifth Amendment as a means of ousting him as “unfit.” That isn’t likely to happen, so Mr. Stelter and his guests have to satisfy themselves by calling the president names and reminding those who actually voted for the man that they are as deplorable as Hillary Clinton claimed … and unhinged to boot.

It didn’t work in 2016 and it was the late Albert Einstein who some claim once observed that “the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.” One wonders just who would qualify as crazy under that definition.

BY KEVIN R. BROCK, OPINION CONTRIBUTOR — 08/30/19 09:00 AM EDT 965 THE VIEWS EXPRESSED BY CONTRIBUTORS ARE THEIR OWN AND NOT THE VIEW OF THE HILL

here are the last two paragraphs of this fact filled article:

In short, James Comey is not out of the woods after the first IG report, which has exposed him as someone who casually and carelessly disregarded established rules and regulations. It is not a stretch to imagine that this disregard carried over into other more serious areas of potential abuse of authority.

Comey is owed no apology by anyone. By his own publicity-seeking behaviors since crashing onto the scene in July 2016 he has verified his animus and political biases. Without any further findings he already has disgraced that noble office. He owes an apology to every FBI employee, past and present, who toiled to win the trust of the American people that he has so severely damaged.

  46. If you follow the legacy media via the talking head television punditry class you've no doubt heard that the Amazon Rainforest is on fire because of climate change and the world is going come to a hot and oxygen-less end as a result.

The airheaded climate cultists in Hollyweird and others of the celebrity/political class — the same ones who preach to us lessers that we must reduce our "carbon footprints" while they live in houses the size of Rhode Island and fly around the world in private jets and boat across the oceans on massive yachts — have taken to social media to post photos of burning forests. Their social media posts warn of dire consequences of losing the "lungs of the world" that produce "more than 20% of the world's oxygen."

A CNN headline screamed "Fires Burning at a Record Rate in Amazon Forest," and a CNN climate change propagandist posing as a reporter claimed, "The current fires are without precedent in the past 20,000 years."

As you might imagine, it's all a bunch of hype and hullabaloo. Contrary to the mainstream media narrative, the fires in the Amazon are not precedent-setting or record breaking. They are not even unusual. They load everything up with a bunch of Bullshit... Good Grief!

Besides, we have Jacob the Bassett, he's nearing 10 years old now.... and about 3 years back we adopted a senior aged cat from the Humane Shelter her name is Bella - she looks at Jacob as though he's an annoyance but pretty much ignores him. :) Her original owners were elderly and they couldn't take her with them as they were getting ready to go into a nursing home.... so I told the humane shelter to contact them and let them know she's adopted and in a good home. She was 7 when we adopted her, so that makes her about the same age as Jacob.

Bella is a big girl, I personally think she's part Maine Coon because of her size, but she's small compared to full blooded Maine Coons. She's got the ruff around her neck, long fluffy tail, fur on the bottom of her feet, but she doesn't have the ear tufts. From nose to rear end she measures 20 inches and her tail from rear end to tip is 12 inches... long silky fur and extremely social and loving... loves to be held and she comes when she hears her name and she loves drinking water from the faucet.

Both pets of ours are quite spoiled -

well enough about my pets... for now :)

  57. I think the end is in sight

A story I thought I would never hear. NASCAR has rejected ads for guns. Because they featured AR-15 style guns. And because they said "the shifting attitude toward guns"

Let that sink in. NASCAR. One of the only sports left that represents patriotic Americans and is proud of it. That you don't find left wing commie bullshit represented when you watch.

Do you still doubt the godless commies are winning? That they aren't infiltrating deep into our very culture? Well, stop doubting and start fighting.

Like I said. We either stop these commie bastards at the voting booth now or we'll have to shoot our way out down the road. You choose, America.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Sorry Sarge. I know you are a big NASCAR fan. No insult meant toward NASCAR or it's fans. But this story needs to be told. If they have gotten to NASCAR where will it stop?

Frankie Lane sang Rawhide.... made me remember one time my beautiful mom calling me up, "quick, turn your radio to AM1490...I requested Mule Train" Ok mom I replied, turning the stereo to AM1490 and I had to giggle as I had my beautiful mom on the telephone.... I said to her "damn Mom, sounds like that mule train is going to clippity clop right out of my stereo"..... we both laughed -

Mule Train was one of her favorite songs - but no song came close to Gene Autry.... Johnny Cash came in 2nd.

    ReplyDelete
  104. Well, living in California I can't buy ammunition shipped to me. Hell, if I need to buy ammunition I have to have a background check, and wait several days. For bullets. Don't even think about an actual firearm. Good thing I bought plenty before I left.

Up where I live it's a very gun friendly zone. We have a shooting range and a gun store. But California laws apply here, there just aren't enforced particularly strongly. We have no local police, only the Kern County Sheriff and the California Highway Patrol. So where I live if I called the cops they might be a half hour away. And they understand that. So you can get a conceal carry pretty easily here. And keep all the weapons you want.

Plus we have rattlesnakes and other dangerous critters living among us.

No open carry, but that's never been that important. I don't really see the need for someone to open carry, concealed makes much more sense. Why point out to potential criminals who they need to shoot first? The element of surprise always favors the defensive side.

But honestly, I don't feel particularly unsafe here. I feel safer here than most parts of Topeka. There's an area where all the tweakers and junkies live but you can see those critters coming a mile away. And they aren't much of a threat.

But we know what this is all about. Total gun ban. That's the dream of the commie left. It's always the first action of totalitarian tyrannical commies. Hitler did it. Stalin did it. Mao did it.

Our founders didn't add the second amendment to allow us to own guns. It has nothing to do with not knowing there would be powerful weapons. It has nothing to do with hunting or home defense. Never did. It was always intended to tell the government to stay the hell out of it. It doesn't talk to us. It talks to the government. It tells them they "shall not infringe". Says nothing to us. Only them.

Tell you what. I'll consider repealing the second if we can repeal the first at the same time. Allow for the passage of another alien and sedition act like John Adams had. Allow President Trump to decide who goes to jail for insulting him. Without due process. Just lock them up until he decides when to let them out. And he can throw any alien out of the country or in prison just for being an alien. Sound about right?

If we're going to seriously start repealing the bill of rights lets see how they like going to Leavenworth for calling the President a Nazi. Or maybe he can send federal troops to search their house for any sign of sedition. Writings or recordings for example. Bet they'd be the first to call for the second amendment back.

They made the new rules. But they don't like living by them now.

    ReplyDelete

  108. I am over 60 and the Armed Forces thinks I'm too old to track down terrorists.. You can't be older than 42 to join the military. They've got the whole thing ass-backwards.

Instead of sending 18-year olds off to fight, they ought to take us old guys. You shouldn't be able to join a military unit until you're at least 55.

For starters, researchers say 18-year-olds think about sex every 10 seconds. Old guys only think about sex a couple of times a month, leaving us more than 280,000 additional seconds per day to concentrate on the enemy.

Young guys haven't lived long enough to be cranky, and a cranky soldier is a dangerous soldier 'My back hurts! I can't sleep, I'm tired and hungry.' We are bad-tempered and impatient, and maybe letting us kill some asshole that desperately deserves it will make us feel better and shut us up for a while.

An 18-year-old doesn't even like to get up before 10 am. Old guys always get up early to pee, so what the hell. Besides, like I said, I'm tired and can't sleep and since I'm already up, I may as well be up killing some fanatical son-of-a-bitch.

If captured, we couldn't spill the beans because we'd forget where we put them.. In fact, name, rank, and serial number would be a real brainteaser.

Boot camp would be easier for old guys. We're used to getting screamed and yelled at and we're used to soft food. We've also developed an appreciation for guns. We've been using them for years as an excuse to get out of the house, away from the screaming and yelling.

They could lighten up on the obstacle course however. I've been in combat and never saw a single 20-foot wall with rope hanging over the side, nor did I ever do any pushups after completing basic training.

Actually, the running part is kind of a waste of energy, too. I've never seen anyone outrun a bullet.

An 18-year-old has the whole world ahead of him. He's still learning to shave, to start a conversation with a pretty girl. He still hasn't figured out that a baseball cap has a brim to shade his eyes, not the back of his head.

These are all great reasons to keep our kids at home to learn a little more about life before sending them off into harm's way.

Let us old guys track down those terrorists. The last thing an enemy would want to see is a couple million pissed off old farts with bad attitudes and automatic weapons who know that their best years are already behind them.

HEY!! How about recruiting Women over 50... in menopause!!! You think MEN have attitudes?? Ohhhhhhhhhhhh my God!!! If nothing else, put them on border patrol. They'll have it secured the first night!

  123. Back on the Walmart guns and ammo thing. I just saw last night that although they are discontinuing the various items because of their "concern", in order to get rid of their stock, they are SELLING the remainder of the stock, not just "eating the loss" for the benefit of mankind! Gee, I am so humbled by their commitment! Just trying to win over the "snowflakes" who haven't liked Walmart in the past. Basically another marketing scheme!

    ReplyDelete
  124. To be perfectly honest the only time I've ever bought ammo from Wal-Mart was back a few years ago when for whatever reason.22's were hard to get. I bought 4 or 5 boxes.

Now if Academy pulls the same shit then that's a whole different story...

    ReplyDelete
  125. Well what ever all those chicken shit stores do fat chance of me running out is almost nil...

    ReplyDelete
  126. Walmart is giving in to people who for the most part don't shop at their stores while attacking the people who for the most part do. I won't set foot in a Walmart again. I've never bought a gun or ammunition there but still won't go back. Costco is my store of choice. They don't sell weapons or ammunition but they are where I'll go for my bulk purchases.

On the same note, Elizabeth Pochahontis Warren has said if she's elected she'll outlaw bump stocks as part of her gun elimination plan. Met with wild cheers and applause from the ill informed idiots on the left no doubt.

President Trump banned bump stocks through executive order in March when congress failed to act. I don't know whether I agree or not, I am fearful of any incremental move toward banning guns altogether, but he did. And the gun fearing godless commie left and virtually every one of the lying blobs of shit running for president on the democrat/communist party ticket are unaware. Or they are aware and are lying through their teeth, which is the most likely explanation.

Have no doubt about this. Every little thing they do is moving toward banning guns and confiscating them from us. They will never succeed, but they will chip away at it. Did you ever imagine we would have openly declared communists running for president? That's how incremental change works. And they will never stop until they have turned America into Venezuela.

Trust me on this. I live in a communist state. It's run by communists. They are totalitarians as well as total idiots. The things they do here would have made Stalin proud. This state is a disaster. But up here where I live it's a little pocket of sanity like the eye of a hurricane. Hopefully it stays that way.

  133. Coal Plants in World

How many coal plants are there in the world today?
    Green New Deal???

The EU has 468 - building 27 more... Total
    495

    Turkey
    has 56 - building 93 more... Total 149

    South
    Africa has 79 - building 24 more... Total 103

    India
    has 589 - building 446 more... Total 1036

    Philippines
    has 19 - building 60 more... Total 79

    South
    Korea has 58 - building 26 more... Total 84

    Japan
    has 90 - building 45 more… Total 135

    China
    has 2,363 - building 1,171 more... Total 3,534

    That’s
    5,615
projected coal powered plants in just
    8 countries.

    USA has 15 - building 0 more...Total
    15

And Democrat politicians with their "green new deal”
want to shut down those 15 plants in order to "save”
    the planet.

Because you could not get many Republicans off the
sofa last November, the Socialist party now runs the
    U.S. House Of Representatives.

“The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is
for good men to do nothing.”

This is EXCELLENT!! I knew the rough idea about
the number of coal plants, but had not yet seen
    actual numbers until now.

This makes the point. Whatever the USA does or
    doesn’t do won’t make a Tinker’s Dam regarding CO2
unless the rest of the world – especially China and
India – does reduce coal-fired power plants, too.

The whole “global warming” and “climate change”
gambits by Democrats are to create a *supposedly*
sound, scientific basis to justify a federal government
power-grab and the passage of MORE laws to increase
taxes and increased control of the privately owned
power industry and its distribution. Think it’s Socialism?
