Respected sources?

Once again I had to laugh at something our very own internet doctor had to say.

Rather than bore you with everything he said I'll just focus on two simple words.

"Respected sources."

Like who, Blue?

You mean respected sources like ABC News?

It took about two minutes for ABC to be proven to be the liars they are when they ran this video they claimed was carnage out of Syria.

Two minutes, Blue.

Maybe you meant to say something along the lines of "Once respected sources?"

Or maybe, "Once trusted?"

Here's the deal, Dipshit.

The American people have had about all the lies and deception they're going to take.

In just over a year from now we're going to the polls in numbers you've never seen before and we'll beat you bastards back into the fiery pits of Hell where you belong.

Get it?

Got it?

Good.

Now go fuck yourself...

  3. Yes I read that too about Elijah Cummings - there'll be another demoNcrat to take his place though.... nothing will change on the demoNcrat agenda.

I caught a little bit of the Trump Pelosi meeting through the headlines.... despite the "he said she said" stuff on the media... I'm going to believe President Trump's comments on their meeting.

Oh, just saw this on the Washington Examiner:

  4. Good old Blue. One thing positive of what he has done; By moving to D.C., he was single-handedly able to raise the I.Q. average of BOTH Topeka and D.C. Good for you Blue!
As far as Congress being so upset about Trump pulling troops out of Syria; If they are really serious about it, why don't they do what only Congress is authorized to do, Declare War on Turkey! I wonder how that would go over with the American people!
Well, Elijah Cummings is gone. Who will they appoint now to continue to avoid cleaning up the "Rat infested" areas of Baltimore? A relative maybe?

  5. So you think Trump doesn't have long to run, eh? I'm telling you, he has until 20 JAN 21, at least, to run. You're not getting 67 votes to convict on impeachment. Period.

Will he get re-elected? Who knows? Perhaps I should have consulted those Baltic Russians at my party last month. Since I had finished getting married, polly-ticks wasn't much on my mind at the time.

But Boz, I get a good laugh out of the Dems suddenly talking like they miss John Bolton. C'mon, be honest. You do at that.

Yeah, your main stream media has lost it's credibility. It's always been biased, but once went to great trouble to mask it. Now it's freaking out in the open. ALL of your sources are infected with advocacy journalism. What caused this breakdown? TDS.

And yes, like Safe, I'm soon leaving T-Town. Ah Riga. Where the government let's little asylum seekers know that they're NOT welcome. No handouts for them anyway. AND, it's more like the Topeka I knew growing up than Topeka is.

  6. And ole Pee Losi Gee what can be said. She is having a total melt down. Trump has got her right under his thumb where he can control her actions and whats left of her mind. She never had any intention of going into that meeting to do any thing. She started it and he finished it. She had it already set up with camera's waiting. Gee those people just have ESP and know where to be?

  8. Captain, I didn't so much leave Topeka for California, I came here because my family lives here. Topeka has it's faults, nowhere to the degree that our favorite commie internet doc comrade bedpan imagines, but every city has it's faults.

California is in a league of it's own fault-wise. This was a beautiful place when I first visited in 1971. In the ensuing years they have grown more and more communist. Welcoming the mooches, drug addicts, homeless and illegal aliens while punishing the successful by taxing and regulating them to death.

And guess who's now leaving in droves? Not the aforementioned scum of society, but the job creators, the wealthy taxpayers and the people who hold the keys to fixing this miserable state.

There's an old saying, if you want less of something, punish it, if you want more of something, reward it.

So, you want less wealth and job creation, tax it and regulate it. Punish it. What do you get? Less of it.

You want more homeless drug addicts, illegal aliens and miscreants? Reward them. Give them welfare, free health care, let them do whatever the hell they want and just watch and smile while the shit and used needles pile up on the sidewalk. And the city fills up with homeless encampments of stolen tents, tarps, cardboard and shopping carts filled with stolen goods.

I've seen it. Up close and personal. And these people just scratch their heads in amazement and have no idea what to do about it. They are a whole new breed of stupid.

So up here in Kern County, where I live and contains Bakersfield, which comrade bedpan besmirched so freely on the last blog has a Sheriff who has a great idea. Sheriff Donny Youngblood (a great name for a Sheriff by the way) says his solution is to start locking up the criminals. Arrest them, throw them in jail. Get them off the street. And since the vast majority of these people are some form of criminal, I think it might help.

Of course, Sheriff Youngblood has met with an outpouring of hatred for his cruel and horrible plan. Arresting criminals and cleaning up the streets is apparently a terrible idea, at least here in California.

Their solution is to give them more money, show compassion and welcome them to take a shit in your front yard. Give them some toilet paper, maybe the sports section from your paper to read while they take a dump.

Yeah, Topeka may have it's problems, like Kansas rejecting Sam Brownback and electing a godless commie governor. But compared to California? Not even close.

So Captain, good luck over there. If you're moving there it must be a great place, and I wish you the very best. And congratulations on getting married. Sounds like you're in for some adventures ahead.

  9. Sarge, I'm glad to see you're feeling better.

  10. When I retire in June, I'll move out there. Still keeping the ol' home in Oakland. We will come to T-Town in Autumn and Spring. T-Town in the summer is better spent elsewhere.

Our honeymoon was spent in London. Now she used to LIVE in London in the 90s. Now she said it had even more "diversity" than Stockholm. She does not mean the word in such a reverent way as our friend Boz does, though. The difference in appearances between Brighton and London is striking. Brighton sort of lacks something in diversity, but makes up for it in the lack of lines for everything and the generally upscale appearance of everything. She said I would like it and I did. I had mentally pictured a rundown Jersey shore and it was a pleasant surprise to find that to not be true. Londoners were less enamored of Trump than Rigans or Budapesters, though. But like I implied supra, less than half of the Londoners are ethnically English.

Topeka's problems are pretty manageable. Rikki can vouch for me, here there are a lot of adult men on bicycles. They're not on bicycles because they're budding Lance Armstrongs, either. I'll bet a majority of them have criminal records. But our homeless don't make tents downtown. They do that on the banks of the Kaw.

Thanks for the good wishes everyone. We plan on traveling to new places as long as we can. Next up is probably either Milan or Sofia.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Hi Captain, congrats on getting married :).

I can vouch for the homeless wanderers in Oakland - some on bicycles and some on foot. I don't venture out by myself at night anymore - not even when I take Jacob outside or bring him him from the back yard. So far, the homeless wanderers haven't bothered me or mine..... hoping it stays that way.

The Oakland Christian Church that sits on the south end of Lundgren school on Michigan Ave.... is now part of Topeka First Assembly....they are helping the homeless...they're connected to The Rescue Mission.

    https://www.topekafirst.com/oakland

That's why we're seeing the vast numbers of homeless wanderers.

  12. I'd say it's like feeding the bears, but it's probably more like feeding pumas or tigers. At any rate, I'd like them gone. And since I live between Crack Corners and the Oakland Kwik Shop I see more than my share. They're out there at 0200 and 0300, too. I don't think it's because they're getting up early to work. Now I know it's because of do-gooders, great.

So Boz, we're eagerly awaiting who YOU'RE going to vote for in the Presidential Primary. Let us know, we are ALL interested.

  15. something different.... those who have cats (and dogs) for pets understand this :)

    Cat diary:

My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects. They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while I am forced to eat dry cereal. The only thing that keeps me going is the hope of escape, and the mild satisfaction I get from ruining the occasional piece of furniture. Tomorrow I may eat another houseplant.

Slept all day so that I could annoy my captors with sleep depriving, incessant pleas for food at ungodly hours of the night.

I am finally aware of how sadistic they are. For no good reason I was chosen for the water torture. This time however it included a burning foamy chemical called "shampoo." What sick minds could invent such a liquid. My only consolation is the piece of thumb still stuck between my teeth.

I am convinced the other captives are flunkies and maybe snitches. The dog is routinely released and seems more than happy to return. He is obviously a half-wit. The Bird, on the other hand, has got to be an informant. He has mastered their frightful tongue (something akin to mole speak) and speaks with them regularly. I am certain he reports my every move. Due to his current placement in the metal room his safety is assured. But I can wait, it is only a matter of time.

I got messed up on catnip tonight. At the height of it all, I had a vision, a hallucinogenic revelation: they are the prisoners and I am their captor! Why have I not seen this all before?

  17. This is unAmerican what Nancy Pelosi engaged in. It is reprehensible that Chuck Schumer agreed to this.

America can not be a People or a Country with this taking place. That means there is not a Constitution and that is why Nancy Pelosi is not following the constitutional guidelines for impeachment, as America has been overthrown.
This is exceedingly dangerous and must be denounced and rejected.

It will not be, and it will continue.

There is a final check and balance to the US Constitution. It is not Thomas Jefferson's arming the mob and it rising up in a little revolution spilling blood. It is the reality that this intrigue will be stopped in the future, by foreigners. Russia and China will move against a divided United States, and the internal disloyalty of foreign slave labor will complete the check.
America will be defeated in the next war by design and the root of this is the continuous Obama, Bush, Clinton political structure of the elite, which emboldened Nancy Pelosi to think there would not be consequences for her stunt.
The Speaker will not face consequences, but America will when the war comes from the American turmoil within.

Stephanie Grisham, W.H. press secretary: Trump 'measured' in meeting, Pelosi 'stormed out'
By David Sherfinski - The Washington Times - Friday, October 18, 2019

White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham on Friday said President Trump was measured in a White House meeting with congressional leaders that went off the rails earlier in the week, while House Speaker Nancy Pelosi “stormed out.”

“The president walked in. He greeted everybody as he does, and Speaker Pelosi started out the meeting — it was actually quite bizarre,” Ms. Grisham said on “Fox and Friends.” “She had no intentions of sitting there. We had military people, we had people there to brief them and she was not going to listen.”

“She got up; she stormed out. Her focus was getting to the cameras. It was funny to watch [Senate Minority Leader Charles E.] Schumer chase after her — I think he was a little worried that if he didn’t leave with her that she would get angry with him,” she said.

Ms. Grisham said Mr. Trump was “measured” in the meeting.

“He stayed behind and he worked with the Democrats who actually remained behind, too, and we continued the briefing and that was it,” she said.

Both Mr. Trump and Mrs. Pelosi have accused one another of having a “meltdown” in the meeting, which touched on the administration’s Syria policies.

The speaker said at her weekly press conference on Thursday that it would be interesting if there could be recording of such meetings, given such wildly different reports of what happens

Ms. Grisham, in turn, called for greater transparency in the ongoing impeachment inquiry into Mr. Trump.

“Maybe once she agrees to opening up this kangaroo court of hers, we could record the meetings that happen in the White House,” she said.

Sen. Mitt Romney behind secret Twitter account 'Pierre Delecto': 'C'est moi'
By Jessica Chasmar - The Washington Times - Updated: 10:44 a.m. on Monday, October 21, 2019

Sen. Mitt Romney admitted Sunday that he uses a secret Twitter account called “Pierre Delecto” to keep tabs on political debates unnoticed.

The 2012 Republican presidential nominee and former Massachusetts governor first mentioned the account during an interview with The Atlantic on Sunday, saying “I won’t give you the name of it,” but, “I’m following 668 people.”

After some digging, Slate’s Ashley Feinberg theorized that Mr. Romney was behind the Twitter handle @qaws9876, otherwise known as Pierre Delecto. His activity on the account included defending himself and liking tweets critical of the Trump administration.

The Republican senator later admitted that he was behind the account.

“C’est moi,” he told The Atlantic.

The Pierre Delecto account, which was created in 2011 during Mr. Romney’s presidential campaign, has since been made private.

Trump's historic lead on 2020 fundraising is starting to rattle Democrats
    by Tim Pearce | October 21, 2019 11:39 AM

Democrats are beginning to worry about President Trump's 2020 war chest, which is larger than any other sitting president in history at this point in the campaign.

Some strategists believe the eventual Democratic nominee will not be able to compete against the Trump campaign's and Republican National Committee’s joint fundraising, which combined have $158 million on hand, according to Politico.

Trump's reelection effort has raised about twice as much as former President Barack Obama's reelection campaign had at this point in the race.

"The resources [Trump] has will be put to work anywhere and everywhere that he feels like he can scare up electoral votes, and Democrats will never catch up. It’s just too much money," Texas-based Democratic strategist Chris Lippincott said. "That's real trouble … I'm not here to curse the dark, but it's dark."

The Trump campaign effort is currently outspending the lone Democratic PAC messaging against him by a 10-to-1 margin. Trump's 2020 coalition has spent roughly $23 million so far on advertising.

The sooner Democrats settle on a nominee, the sooner the party can focus on beating Trump. The top tier candidates in the Democratic primary are still in flux, however.

The latest polling out of Iowa shows former Vice President Joe Biden and Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren are neck-and-neck, at 18% and 17% respectively, after Biden dropped 6 points and Warren gained 4 points. South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg also surged 7 points since the last Iowa poll to 13%.

Warren's campaign recently revealed it has $25.7 million in cash on hand, but Biden, Sanders, and Buttigieg have not yet released their totals. Biden, however, has been fundraising off his campaign's lack of cash, and his cash burn rate is 30% higher than his top rivals'.

"We don't know if the Democratic candidate is going to be able to even compete with such a shorter timeline, even if they have significant resources after the convention," said Tara McGowan, who founded the progressive group ACRONYM.

Supreme Court throws out Michigan partisan gerrymandering dispute
    by Melissa Quinn | October 21, 2019 10:40 AM

The Supreme Court tossed out a lower court ruling that required Michigan lawmakers to redraw state legislative and congressional voting lines.

In a win for Michigan Republicans, the high court vacated the ruling from the three-judge panel in federal district court in light of its decision last year in a pair of partisan gerrymandering cases. The justices ruled 5-4 in the disputes out of Maryland and North Carolina that claims of partisan gerrymandering, in which voting maps are drawn to give entrench the party in power, are beyond the reach of the federal courts.

The decision from the Supreme Court, which was split along ideological lines, left in place the district lines drawn by Democrats in Maryland and Republicans in North Carolina.

The three-judge panel in Michigan invalidated the state and congressional lines drawn by the GOP-controlled state legislature, which they deemed in April to be an unconstitutional partisan gerrymander.

The court gave lawmakers until Aug. 1 to approve new voting maps.

But the Supreme Court put the lower court’s ruling — as well as a ruling from Ohio —on hold while it considered the constitutionality of the Maryland and North Carolina maps.

In the Ohio case, a federal court struck down the state’s congressional map drawn by Republicans. The Supreme Court also threw out that ruling this month, handing a win to the state’s GOP lawmakers.

  54. Hillary is still wallowing in her "I lost" pity party.... I venture to say that after a while, the media won't give her any air time... she still needs to be thrown in jail!

Hillary Clinton Repeats False Claims About Voter Suppression In Wisconsin

    Cameron Cawthorne - OCTOBER 20, 2019 11:00 AM

Two-time failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton on Saturday continued to push her debunked claim that tens of thousands of Wisconsin voters weren't able to vote in the 2016 election because of voter suppression.

Clinton and her daughter, Chelsea, appeared at an event in Portland, Ore., to promote their new book, The Book of Gutsy Women: Favorite Stories of Courage And Resilience. The event's moderator asked Clinton about the 2016 presidential election, noting that she had "probably noticed there was some shocking hi-jinks during the last election."

In answering, Clinton claimed that voter suppression occurred in multiple states, including Wisconsin.

"Wisconsin is a great example of where tens of thousands of people were not able to vote, so we know that happened and we have to keep fighting it and we have to keep putting it on the front burner," Clinton said.

Clinton's claims of voter suppression in Wisconsin have varied dramatically over the last several years, but that has not stopped PolitiFact from rating them "mostly false" and "pants on fire." In May 2017, Clinton claimed, "the best estimate is that 200,000 people in Wisconsin were either denied or chilled in their efforts to vote" in the 2016 presidential election. PolitiFact rated the claim "mostly false" and noted the figure came from Democratic super PAC Priorities USA.

Earlier this year, Clinton said, "somewhere between 40,000 and 80,000 people were turned away from the polls because of the color of their skin, because of their age, because of whatever excuse could be made up to stop a fellow American citizen from voting." This claim earned Clinton a "pants on fire" rating, which is the worst rating PolitiFact gives out.

Clinton combined these two claims last month, saying, "experts estimate that anywhere from 27,000 to 200,000 Wisconsin citizen voters, predominantly in Milwaukee, were turned away from the polls." This claim prompted PolitiFact to say, "Hillary Clinton just can't quit Wisconsin."

"This is the third time we have rated claims from Clinton on the Wisconsin turnout," the fact-checking site concluded. "She's no closer on this one than the last one. We rate this claim Pants on Fire."

Clinton also brought up the 2018 gubernatorial election in Georgia, where she echoed failed Democratic candidate Stacey Abrams's repeated claim that she had lost the election due to voter suppression. (Abrams lost by almost 55,000 votes to Republican Brian Kemp.)

"We know several things. We know a lot of voters had their votes suppressed. I believe Stacey Abrams should have been the governor of Georgia," Clinton said, "Very non-partisan, independent, objective studies have shown that probably 80,000 or so Georgians were prevented from voting. They showed up and didn't have the right ID or their voter registration was never processed and it was just blatant what was done there."

CIA 'rattled' by DOJ inquiry into Russia investigation origins
    by Daniel Chaitin | October 21, 2019 02:52 PM

The Justice Department's review of the origins of the Russia investigation created "unease" at the CIA, according to a reporter who has followed its progress.

Uncertainty over what investigators are seeking and whether the inquiry has become a criminal investigation has prompted some CIA analysts who played a role in the intelligence assessment of Russia's activities during the 2016 campaign to hire lawyers.

"It's not clear where he's going with this, but a lot of people are very rattled. Those CIA analysts I mentioned had to hire their own lawyers because no one’s sure whether this is a criminal investigation or not. And if it is a criminal investigation, what is the allegation of wrongdoing? No one I talked to can answer that," Ken Dilanian said on Monday's episode of Morning Joe on MSNBC.

Over the weekend, the NBC News reporter had a report published about the expansion of the DOJ review, which is being overseen by Attorney General William Barr and run by U.S. Attorney John Durham, who has requested to speak with CIA analysts.

A similar report was published by the New York Times that notes President Trump granted Barr expansive powers for the inquiry, but the attorney general lacked subpoena power and could only request documents and interviews. The report also notes, however, that it is unclear whether the status of the review has changed.

"There’s a lot of unease at the CIA and disquiet about the notion of federal prosecutors going over and rooting in their files," Dilanian said. "Not because they think they did anything wrong, but because these are sources and methods. Some of the most highly classified documents and secrets in our government. And they are kept to a small set of people for a reason. It’s a need-to-know situation. And they’re questioning what is the need for John Durham and his prosecutors to go over and talk to them about that in the absence of any allegation of wrongdoing?"

The CIA declined to comment on an official investigation

Barr and Durham have traveled around the world for the inquiry and Durham's team has already asked witnesses about possible anti-Trump bias among former FBI officials. Democrats have dismissed the allegations of wrongdoing during the Trump-Russia investigation and are concerned the review may be an effort to discredit the work of special counsel Robert Mueller.

Durham has yet to speak with key figures from the Russia investigation, but former CIA Director John Brennan says the prosecutor wants to speak with him and former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper.

In an interview with MSNBC earlier this month, Brennan said Barr's participation in the review "really makes me think that the hand of politics and of Trump are now being used to massage what this ongoing review, quasi-investigation is. So I am concerned."

Republicans believe the impending declassification of Russia investigation documents will show an email exchange between Brennan and former FBI Director James Comey discussing the use of British ex-spy Christopher Steele's unverified dossier in the U.S. intelligence community's assessment on Russian interference in the 2016 election. Former South Carolina Rep. Trey Gowdy, who claims to have seen the classified material, said this puts Brennan in jeopardy more than it does Comey.

Durham enlisted leaders in the U.S. intelligence community, including CIA Director Gina Haspel, to help with the review.

  68. We had really bad weather last night. Tornadoes flying around causing all kinds of damage. Some places are completely gone. The tornado hopped around in Dallas and ended up in my neck of the woods. Our neighborhood did not get hit but other neighborhoods close by got nailed. Only one death which surprises me from all the destruction. We don't have basements down here so we hide in a closet or bathtub. The plants on my patio got blown around but that is noting compared to what others went through. I am going to donate my time tomorrow for anyone that may need some help. I am trying to find places for families to stay, at least the ones who lost their homes. Uhaul stated they would donate storage space, up to a month for those who need to store their belongings. I have been contacting hotels in the area to see if they could provide shelter for families for a few days at no cost. I can't even imagine what those folks are going through. Especially those who don't have homeowners insurance. It is so sad. Continue to be thankful for your blessings.

  74. Here's something to consider as you watch this lynching the democrat/communists are calling an "impeachment hearing".

This isn't really about trying to impeach our President. They know in their little dark evil filled hearts they can't pull that off. They know they have no chance of it, despite the advantage of controlling the media and having a few million brainless idiots siding with them.

This is about demonizing our President hoping to affect the next election. They can use this platform to continue the drumbeat of orange man bad. They can throw out any lies they think up. Any crazy conspiracy theories. Virtually anything they want. Unchallenged. No witnesses called to dispute or correct false testimonies. No opposing views. Just a steady chorus of fake news and lies from the left, told without any opposition whatsoever.

All this effort is being spent, and at the taxpayer's expense I might add, in an unprecedented effort to besmirch and libel our President. It's free political ads. No equal time for the other side required. No campaign finance laws to govern them. No limit to how much they spend. No donations required.

This is easily one of the worst challenges to our constitution and our very liberty in the history of this great nation. This horror show is going to have repercussions for generations to come.

Remember before the election when crooked Hillary claimed that if Donald Trump didn't accept the outcome of the election it would destroy our democracy (which we don't have, but that's another story)? She was right about the premise. When the losing party refuses to accept the outcome of a legitimate election, and spends the next four years attempting to reverse the outcome, it's irreparable damage to our electoral system and the very basis for our Republic. And that's what the dem/coms have done. But their goal is the destruction of our Republic, so they're doing exactly what they intend to do. Destroy us from within.

Damn commies. There have been two major political systems in our past hundred years or so that have murdered millions of people. Nazis and Commies. Today, Nazis are justifiable scorned and rejected. They murdered about 25 million people. Nobody denies that.

Commies are loved and revered these days. Hell, we've got a whole slate of them running for the dem/com nomination. Various versions and degrees of commie, ranging from mild to all in. And the commies, under Joe Stalin murdered 100 million people. And there are millions of Americans who either deny, or are too ignorant to know the truth.

Communism, the very same hammer and sickle brand that Stalin created is the very same one that todays commies are promoting. Bernie Sanders has a deep love for it. He took his honeymoon in Soviet Russia. What the hell happened. How did America come to remember Nazis as bad, but forget completely that communism was much much worse. Something's wrong here, folks. And it's called the democrat/communist party.

GOP storms secure room, demands more access to impeachment inquiry proceedings
By Gabriella Muñoz and Jeff Mordock - The Washington Times - Updated: 11:38 a.m. on Wednesday, October 23, 2019

House Republicans on Wednesday stormed the secure room where lawmakers have been questioning impeachment inquiry witnesses, as their frustration with the closed-door proceedings mounts.

More than a dozen GOP lawmakers convened outside the meeting room and were promptly kicked out.

“This is an outrage,” Rep. Debbie Lesko, Arizona Republican, said.

The impeachment inquiry is centered on allegations that President Trump attempted to pressure Ukrainian President Zelensky to open investigations for his own personal gain, lead by the House Intelligence, Foreign Affairs, and Oversight committees.

Only members on those three committees — Republicans and Democrats — have been allowed in the room to ask questions, a fact Democrats have been highlighting as they push back on GOP criticism.

Over the past two weeks, several Republicans not on those committees have tried to get access to the secret depositions and transcripts of those meetings, but this is the largest group to attempt it.

As of late Wednesday morning, roughly 20 Republican lawmakers refused to leave the secure hearing room where Defense Department official Laura Cooper was scheduled to testify.

Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Florida Democrat, said the sit-in has derailed Ms. Cooper’s testimony and it was unclear when it would start again. Ms. Cooper was not in the room at the time, she said.

Democratic lawmakers leaving the room said those that entered the room brought their cell phones, which is against the rules for a secured area.

“They had no regard for the witness or making sure we can continue to hold the president accountable and ensure we can get to the bottom of this,” Ms. Wasserman Schultz said. “If they don’t have a leg to stand on when it comes to the substance of evidence, they have to argue process.”

However, as the minority party, Republicans don’t have many options to force their hand.

    ReplyDelete
  83. part 2 of 2:

“It’s really unfortunate that they [Democrats] have the votes and apparently they are not following any procedures, any precedents, any rules,” Ms. Lesko told The Washington Times.

“I’ll tell you what, if we are in the majority, I would not allow this kind of unfair process to go on,” she added.

For weeks Republicans have slammed the process as a “sham” that has shut the American people out of the process by keeping the meetings with witnesses behind closed doors. They’re repeatedly demanding Democrats need to hold a vote to authorize the investigation and accused those running the investigations of ushering out “cherry-picked” leaks.

They’ve decried what they see as a lack of due process for the president, arguing the identity of the whistleblower that first put forward the allegations should be revealed.

“House Democrats are bypassing constitutional norms and basic standards of due process with their impeachment obsession,” Rep. Mark Walker, North Carolina Republican, said. “The president is not above justice. But, as you know, neither is he below it.”

House Democrats have launched their own defense of the investigation, arguing it’s akin to the special prosecutor investigations that were a part of the Nixon and Clinton impeachment.

Rep. Val Demmings, Florida Democrat, told reporters Wednesday the Republican claims were unfounded.

“This investigation is being conducted by the Intelligence Committee and members of the Republican side were there if they chose to be during the depositions and they certainly were permitted to ask whatever questions they wanted to. They have access to transcripts and information that were available.”

“I guess when you are desperate you go back to complaining about the process and that is what they are doing,” she said.

On Tuesday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi circulated a letter from more than 300 members of the American Constitution Society that argued there is no right to having the whistleblower come forward publicly nor are House Democrats constitutionally obligated to authorize the investigation with a full House vote.

They did, however, argue the Senate must have a public trial, should the process get that far.
