The Clinton Foundation announced in a Tuesday press release that the two would be hosting a "one-on-one conversation" on Friday about the impact of COVID-19 on women and "empowering women and girls in the U.S. and around the world." Social media erupted, and people slammed the move, given the accusations against Clinton and the way he has treated women in the past.

President Joe Biden used several cheat sheets during his press conference — including one with photos and names of reporters he was planning to call on.
The New York Post said the printed note cards are clearly visible in photos taken Thursday. He also used the cards to assist with facts concerning the U.S. infrastructure.
"The United States now ranks 13th globally in infrastructure quality — down from 5th place in 2002," said the notes on one card.
However, during the press conference Biden slipped up and said the U.S. ranked 85th in the world in infrastructure, according to the Post. He ended up correcting himself.
A photo posted by the newspaper showed the same card contained a bullet point on China and infrastructure.
It read: "China spends 3 times more on infrastructure than U.S." Underneath it was another bullet point, which read: "Bridges: More than 1/3 of our bridges (231,000) need repairs or preservation work."
And the president, holding his first press conference since taking office 65 days ago, addressed questions from a list of journalists and news outlets he read from printed sheets. A photo showed circled numbers around certain reporters.
About 30 reporters sat spaced out using the length of the room instead of the width, as former President Donald Trump had news conferences set up.
In the end, Biden's event lasted 1 hour, 2 minutes, featuring 28 questions — 18 of which were follow-ups — from 10 reporters.
Fox News noted that Biden fielded questions about the ongoing crisis at the border with Mexico, his view on some lawmakers’ calls to end the filibuster, and a variety of other issues.
An early hot-button topic was the Senate filibuster that requires 60 votes to end debate on legislation and move to a vote.
"It used to be you had to stand there and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk until you collapsed," said Biden, who served in the Senate for decades before presiding over the Senate as vice president for eight years. "And guess what? People got tired of talking and tired of collapsing. Filibusters broke down and we're able to break the filibuster and get a quorum and vote. So, I strongly support moving in that direction."
Biden was the first chief executive in four decades to have reached this far into his term without having conducted a formal question-and-answer session.
And Fox News said the use of notes is not unprecedented at presidential press conferences. Trump had a notebook with handwritten prompts during a November 2019 press conference about testimony at his first impeachment hearing.

Cable news’s favorite anti-Trump mental health quack has been fired from Yale University’s psychiatry department, a move that comes after the school allegedly warned her several times about her wild-eyed political rants and penchant for publicly diagnosing individuals she has never met.
Between this, attorney Michael Avenatti’s felony conviction, attorney Daniel Uhlfelder’s disgrace in court, and newsrooms dropping gossip columnist Michael Wolff like a bag of hot garbage, the press has done a bang-up job of foisting embarrassing anti-Trump hacks on the public. It’s only a matter of time before the phony Florida whistleblower, Rebekah Jones, is met with similar disgrace (worse than what she has already called down on her head, that is).
Dr. Bandy Lee, the physiatrist who repeatedly accused then-President Donald Trump of being mentally unstable and even once praised Adolf Hitler in comparison to Trump, has filed a lawsuit claiming Yale fired her for tweeting about Trump and his allies.
“I have tried to fulfill my societal duty,” Lee, who was at one point a regular fixture on CNN and MSNBC, told the New York Times, adding, “which is to call out signs of danger, and signs of unfitness. These are of interest to public [health], not to Donald Trump’s personal health, but to the public health.”
Lee’s lawsuit claims she was let go partly because of a 2020 tweet suggesting attorney Alan Dershowitz’s defense of Trump’s “perfect sex life” suggests a “shared psychosis” between the two men.
“Alan Dershowitz’s employing the odd use of ‘perfect’ — not even a synonym — might be dismissed as ordinary influence in most contexts,” Lee said. “However, given the severity and spread of ‘shared psychosis’ among just about all of Donald Trump’s followers, a different scenario is more likely.”
Dershowitz, a professor emeritus at Harvard Law School and himself a Yale alumnus, complained to Yale, rightly noting that the “idea that you can diagnose me, without ever having even met me, is unprofessional, irresponsible, and unacademic.”
Lee was then contacted by John Krystal, chairman of Yale’s psychiatry department, who warned that her behavior was out of line, according to her lawsuit. He warned her specifically the university would be “compelled” to terminate its relationship with her if she did not knock it off with the public diagnoses.
“You are putting me in a position where I have to ask, ‘Is this the sort of person that I can trust to teach medical students, residents, and forensic psychiatry fellows?’” Krystal reportedly said in an email.
He later met personally with Lee, whom he informed had committed a breach of psychiatric ethics when she diagnosed Dershowitz, according to the lawsuit. By May, Lee had been let go.

“You did not make these statements as a layperson offering a political judgment; you made them explicitly in your professional capacity as a psychiatrist and on the basis of your psychiatric knowledge and judgment,” Krystal reportedly wrote. “For that reason, the committee decided it was appropriate to consider how these statements reflected your ability to teach trainees.”
The letter added, “We recognize that without formal teaching responsibilities your appointment could not be reinstated.”
Lee's lawsuit claims her termination, which she believes is directly related to Dershowitz’s complaint, is a violation of her First Amendment rights and her academic freedoms. Her lawsuit, by the way, also claims Yale officials told her as far back as 2017 to cut out the unprofessional diagnoses or at least make it clear her views did not represent those of the university, to which she responded simply by ignoring them.
“My goal currently is to ensure that professionals and intellectuals are not silenced,” Lee told the New York Times.
For the first time in 18 years, Lee will not be instructing Yale medical students. And she has no one to blame but herself.
The Goldwater rule is real. It exists for a reason. Mental health professionals are asked and expected to abide by the prudent guideline, which states it is both unethical and extremely irresponsible for mental health experts to render professional verdicts on subjects based only on casual observation.
Like any major, credible institution, Yale’s psychiatry department abides by this commonly accepted ethical standard. Lee broke the rules. She flouted professional standards. Her own lawsuit claims she was warned about her behavior, which even the American Psychiatric Association itself cautioned was both unethical and unprofessional. Yet, she made no effort to bring herself in line with the values of her profession or her employer, which, by the way, is a private institution (throws a bit of a wrench into her First Amendment argument).
Lee is not a victim. Her freedoms are not under attack. Lee, like so many media-enabled anti-Trump clowns that have come before her, is merely experiencing the inevitable conclusion to a public profile built entirely on anti-Trump “resistance." Newsrooms may place a premium on unethical, partisan theatrics, but the more serious institutions clearly have no time for it.

Pence Launches Advocacy Group Combining MAGA, Traditional Conservatism

Former Vice President Mike Pence is re-emerging publicly with the launch of an advocacy group that combines traditional conservatism and the Make America Great Again movement.
Pence, perhaps with an eye on a 2024 presidential run, is chairman of Advancing American Freedom, which will seek to promote the Trump-Pence administration's accomplishments while building a "winning formula for a broader coalition," aides told the Washington Examiner.
Former President Donald Trump expressed support for Pence's venture in a statement to the Examiner.
"It was the most successful first term in American history," Trump said. "Nice to see Mike highlighting some of our many achievements!"
Although the relationship between Trump and Pence cooled when the then vice president refused to reverse the 2020 election result unilaterally during the Electoral College certification, it appears the two men have patched up their differences.
Trump even telephoned Pence recently to offer his congratulations over the birth of the former VP's first grandchild, according to a source familiar with the conversation.
Pence, 61, largely has kept a low profile since leaving office, though he did join the conservative Young America's Foundation, and took on a role as distinguished fellow at the Heritage Foundation.
"Advancing American Freedom plans to build on the success of the last four years by promoting traditional conservative values and promoting the successful policies of the Trump administration," Pence said in a statement to the Examiner.
"Conservatives will not stand idly by as the radical left and the new administration attempt to threaten America's standing as the greatest nation in the world with their destructive policies."
AAF’s advisory board includes former Trump White House members Kellyanne Conway and Larry Kudlow, former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich, and actor Kirk Cameron.
"I've worked alongside Mike Pence for 12 years in an official capacity but have known him for decades," said Conway, senior counselor to the president in the Trump White House. "He has the heart of a servant and the mind of a policy wonk and through this issue advocacy group wants to ensure that the promise of America belongs to each and every one of us."

Axios reported Pence's first public post-vice presidency speech is scheduled for April 29 at the Palmetto Family Council’s annual fundraiser in South Carolina, a key early primary state.
Trump has not said whether he plans to run in 2024. Other potential candidates, such as former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, have begun visiting other early primary states.
Pence aides insisted Pence's priorities were next year's midterm election, and developing a policy agenda — not a presidential run.
The former vice president’s supporters said Pence is the right man at the right time to create a platform incorporating the MAGA movement and traditional conservativism.
"There's no doubt when the vice president joined the ticket in 2016, there was a whole new voter that Donald Trump brought in with his focus on China and trade, and he won over a lot of blue-collar votes in the Midwest," a Pence aide said.
"This organization will focus on those winning policies that were at the center of that fusion between traditional conservativism and Trumpism."
AAF, a 501(c)(4) advocacy organization, will be headquartered in Washington, D.C., and will sport programs based on three main tenets:
American strength and security — immigration, Israel and Middle East peace, and "standing firm against adversaries."
American prosperity — rebuilding the economy, energy independence, tax cuts, and deregulation.
American liberty — anti-abortion, school choice, and religious liberty issues.
Paul Teller, who maintained key relationships with conservative groups and lawmakers for then-Vice President Pence, will be AAF's executive director.

A seminary professor in Georgia is featured in a book of prayers asking God to help her “hate white people.”
The book, A Rhythm of Prayer: A Collection of Meditations for Renewal, features a prayer from Chanequa Walker-Barnes, Mercer University associate professor of practical theology, that begins with “Dear God, Please help me to hate White people."
“Or at least to want to hate them,” the prayer continues. “At least, I want to stop caring about them, individually and collectively.”
Walker-Barnes explained that she has no desire to hate openly racist white people and “strident segregationists” because they are “already in hell,” but instead, she wants to hate “the nice ones.”
Specifically, Walker-Barnes said she wants to hate the “Fox News-loving, Trump-supporting voters who ‘don’t see color’ but who make thinly veiled racist comments about ‘those people.’”
“Lord, if you can’t make me hate them, at least spare me from their perennial gaslighting, whitemansplaining, and White woman tears,” the prayer says. “Lord, if it be your will, harden my heart. Stop me from striving to see the best in people. Stop me from being hopeful that White people can do and be better. Let me imagine them instead as white-hooded robes standing in front of burning crosses.”
Walker-Barnes has been criticized on social media for the book, which has appeared on the New York Times bestseller list according to its Amazon page, resulting in her defending her work on Instagram.
“Apparently a screenshot of my prayer from ‘A Rhythm & A Prayer’ is floating on the socials," she wrote. "The folks critiquing have clearly never read Psalms (other than 23 & 100). Cause then they’d recognize what it’s modeled after.”
On Twitter, Walker-Barnes explained that she wrote the prayer in response to one of her white friends saying the “N-word.”
“In all truth, my family and my personal experiences have given me millions of reasons to hate White people,” she added. “The hatred would be justified. I could even find biblical precedent for it.”

ReplyDeleteAccording to Fox News, Kristen Clarke, Joe Biden’s nominee to lead the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division, organized a conference at which left-wing activists championed cop-killers and backed the freeing of violent criminals. Fox News reports:
According to a previously unseen university transcript obtained by the American Accountability Foundation and given to Fox News, Kristen Clarke was a critical leader and organizer of the controversial Race-ing Justice Conference while she was a student a Columbia Law School in April 1999
The transcript points to Clarke as the event organizer multiple times, as many speakers thanked her and other organizers for bringing the conference together. Clarke was previously reported as only being a contact for the conference.
What was the conference Clarke organized about? It was mainly about freeing cop-killers and radical extremists:
The conference organized left-leaning students and anti-government activists in their shared support of freeing death row inmates, whom they referred to as “political prisoners.” The list included people convicted for a wide array of crimes, including convicted cop-killers Mumia Abu-Jamal, Mutulu Shakur, Sundiata Acoli, and Tom Manning, in addition to other radical extremists.
The convicted criminals the conference equated to “political prisoners” included Assata Shakur — who was convicted of murdering a New Jersey state trooper, escaped from prison and remains on the FBI’s Most Wanted list — and Susan Rosenberg, who was convicted for transporting multiple illegal firearms and over 740 pounds of explosives.
Rosenberg was also a member of the American communist terrorist group, the May 19th Communist Organization, that bombed the US Capitol on Nov. 7, 1983.
I guess attacks on the Capitol, the “temple of our democracy” — didn’t bother Clarke much back then.
One of the speakers was Safiya Bukhari, founder of the Free Mumia Abu-Jamal Coalition. Bukhari downplayed the Holocaust, saying it “was only 6 million Jews killed in the camps and prisons of Germany and Poland.”
Clarke must have been comfortable with that. A few years earlier, she had invited a notorious anti-Semite to speak at Harvard and then endorsed his attacks on Jews.
Clarke’s defenders may argue that her organizing activities in law school shouldn’t be held against her two decades later. However, I doubt that, for purposes of high-ranking Justice Department nominees, there’s a statute of limitation on supporting cop-killers.
Moreover, Clarke held the college writings of a Trump nominee against that nominee. Law school activism is more relevant than college writings.
Accordingly, Senators should hold Clarke’s celebration of cop killers against her. They should add it to the list of reasons not to confirm her.
Seems like every day another one of these stories surfaces like the one Rose just posted. It's a constant stream of this crap. Seems like every commie he nominates is a cop hater, commie loving, freedom hating wanna be tyrant. They all have histories of saying some of the most vile things, holding positions most Americans would find offensive.
