But there's one man among us and we all know who's not afraid to face it head on.
That man goes by the name of Dennis Beckmann.
Pastor Dennis of Mankato Lutheran Church.
My wife and I attend his service each and every Sunday online at 9:00 and I can tell you first hand he's not one to back away from controversial topics.
He's not about to lead his flock astray in order to get along.
Today I'm going to share one of his most recent writings with you as an example.

Critical Race Theory (CRT) is the branch of Critical Theory that defines all inter-race relationships in the Western World. In the ideology of Critical Race Theory, the oppressor class (hegemony) in the Western World are Caucasians of European descent and the oppressed class is composed of all people of color. Under Critical Theory it is impossible for the oppressed classes to discriminate against the oppressor class. Therefore, it is impossible for a person of color (POC) to be a racist under CRT. Only those who compromise the hegemony may be racist, and all who compromise the hegemony are racist. All white persons of European descent are racist and no black, Hispanic, or Asian person may be racist. How can this be?
This ideology stems from the definition of racism under CRT. Remember that all Critical Theories define oppression in terms of power. Since in the eyes of the disciples of CRT the hegemony of the United States is comprised of Caucasians of European descent and this group is the power currently in the USA and was the power during the founding of this nation, only white people have power and only white people guided the creation of laws of the United States of America. Thus, the judicial, financial, education and social systems of the United States of America are all flawed and contain built in oppression of all non-whites. As this section of my series progresses, I will prove this point with quotes from the disciples of CRT themselves.
It was not until the Frankfurt School and the development of CT that racism was defined in this manner. The correct definition of racism is: Racism is the belief that groups of humans possess different behavioral traits corresponding to physical appearance and can be divided based on the superiority of one race over another. It may also mean prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against other people because they are of a different race or ethnicity. This definition of racism is problematic for the Frankfurt School, because it correctly points out that racism is a belief in racial superiority and words and actions that discriminate against another simply because they are of a different ethnicity or skin color. Racism is a two-way street. But Cultural Marxists need to create victims, for this racism must not be reciprocal, it must be totally one sided.
If racism is reciprocal it can be overcome without violence, anger, retribution via the redistribution of wealth, and general societal chaos. It can be overcome by the Christian values of peacemaking, forgiveness, compassion, equality, self-control, honor and dignity for all people. In short, the vision of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and the millions of Christian men and women, of all ethnicities, who marched with him and their brothers and sisters of color. A proven method which worked and worked so well that until recently in our nation racial relations had improved dramatically. What happened between the civil rights marches of the 1960’s to the present day?
The answer to this question is the Frankfurt School. From the time of this school’s planting in the late 1940’s in Columbia University and Princeton University it slowly grew. Gradually disciple by disciple, Horkheimer, Adorno, and Marcuse replicated themselves and their socio-political ideologies of Cultural Marxism (CM) and Critical Theory (CT). As their disciples in turn became teachers and professors, they continued their conquest of the socio-political departments of our nation’s colleges and universities. After two generations of this gradual infiltration of the colleges and universities of the West, CT and CM moved out of the halls of higher learning and into the hallways of our primary and secondary education systems until today this theory and its ideology have gone from being taught as an intellectual exercise into being the foundation for the core curriculum in social sciences, math and even the physical sciences. We know this curriculum by the name of common core.
I promised I would provide truth of my statement that this evil and dangerous socio-political ideology has invaded our society and especially our schools. I also promised that I would demonstrate via quotes of the disciples of this pseudo-political science the disdain and hatred that they hold for the very fabric of the Judeo-Christian heritage that shaped and sustained the nations of the Western World.
Common core is a curriculum of the Obama Administrations Department of Education, of which one of the creators of the standards for common core states; “As a white male I was given a lot of privilege that I didn’t earn. As a result I decided that it was important to ensure that all kids have an equal opportunity to read.” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LQ8Nr3_2724 In Virginia a resource guide recommended by the powerful Virginia Association of Independent Schools includes on its reading list books authored by Ibram X. Kendi. Kendi’s ideology expressed in his own words; “There are only racist ideas and antiracist ideas….Every policy in every institution in every community in every nation is producing or sustaining either racial inequity or equity.” Kendi defines a racist as, anyone who supports “a racist policy through their actions or inaction.” A devout Cultural Marxist he argues, “Capitalism is essentially racist,” and “racism is essentially capitalist.”
In another false narrative the Virginia Association of Independent Schools promotes a website called raceconscious.org. On this site one finds this description of Thanksgiving, which they rename “Thanks-taking”; “A long time ago, a group of White people called the Pilgrims came from Europe to what we now call the United States. They came here because they didn’t have freedoms where they lived and it wasn’t fair… But, there were other people already living here called Native Americans or American Indians. Over time, more and more White people came here and ended up hurting the Native Americans. So, in the end, the Pilgrims got their freedoms, but the American Indians lost those same freedoms. Today, there are still a lot of people who don’t have access to the same freedoms and privileges that the Pilgrims came to the United States to find.” This statement is an outright lie. By the very laws of our nation no person is denied freedom. But we wouldn’t want our children to be told that this nation has the most economic, religious, and social freedoms in the world.
UnboundEd, a large (they received $20 million dollars in grant money in fiscal 2018 to train teachers in common core) teacher education corporation, CEO Kate Gerson said while speaking to teachers attending her “standards-aligned” training: “If you are under the impression that there are good white people and bad white people, you’re wrong.”
Later in the same speech Gerson informed her listeners that racial biases are pervasive, universal, and something “you cannot be cured from,” Gerson went on to state that it is because of this inescapable fact that UnboundEd’s training in reading and math instruction is “grounded in conversations about the roles that race, bias and prejudice play in our schools and classrooms.” UnboundEd’s educational seminars prepare educators to be “Equity Change-Agents.” To become one, participants must first acknowledge that “we are part of a systematically racist system of education” and recognize that “we have participated in this paradigm through instruction and pedagogy.” As its “Bias Toolkit” explains, UnboundEd sees its mission as “disrupting patterns of implicit bias, privilege, and racism in ourselves, our organization, and in the education field.” Remember Gerson’s quote, “racial biases are something you cannot be cured from.” This is the heart of CRT and she is just one of millions of disciples who actually believe this, many of whom carry the name of Jesus Christ.
If this information does not concern and sadden you, to quote the great Al Jolson, “You ain’t heard nothin’ yet.” In Loudoun County, Virginia a group of retired teachers and other education affiliated persons compiled a quite lengthy list of parents suspected of disagreeing with the school system’s teaching of Critical Race Theory. This group of people formed a private Face Book group called “Anti-Racist Parents of Loudoun County”. On this page the members plotted how to infiltrate and use hackers to silence the opposing parents’ communications and “expose and humiliate these people publicly.”
All of this was done without ever showing any proof of racism in the parents targeted by the Face Book group. The actions of the Face Book group became so chaotic and dangerous that the local sheriff’s department of criminal investigations is reviewing the actions of the group to see if some of them crossed the line into criminal behaviors. A side bar to this story is the fact that Face Book took no action against the group and it continues to be active today. Hmm, I thought that Face Book was opposed to hate speech and speech that promoted violence. I guess hate speech is in the eye of the beholder.
Columbus Academy’s, a high school in Ohio, Dean of Students, the Head of School for Student Outreach, and the Director of Diversity and Community Life hosted a “civil disobedience” walkout for students on January 15, 2021. Students were asked to leave their classrooms and move to the gym to participate in a “Black Empowerment” tribute. To encourage attendance multiple times during classes prior to the “voluntary” tribute class time was interrupted with videos encouraging them to leave their classrooms, without teacher permission. Multiple students supplied statements that if the did not go to the gym or leave the classroom fast enough their peers mocked and belittled them while calling them racists, all without intervention from surrounding faculty members. (Bullying of any type in this school is a mandatory out of school suspension).
This list of indoctrination into the religion of the Social Justice via Critical Race Theory in our schools could fill volumes of books. I will end it with one more example. I use the following because it demonstrates not only Critical Race Theory’s irrationality, but it also demonstrates how post-modernism thinking influences our culture via its ideology that there is no absolute truth in the world, all truth is subjective. Math is racist.
No. I didn’t lose my mind. There has been for some time a growing group of educators who are viewing the hard science of mathematics through the lenses of Critical Race Theory. Indeed there are three national organizations of such educators, that I know of, doing this, The National Council of Supervisors of Mathematics (NCSM), TODOS: Mathematics for All, and The Mathematics Association of America (MAA). On 10-03-2020 the MAA tweeted the following: “It is time for all members of our profession to acknowledge that mathematics is created by humans and therefore inherently carries human biases. Until this occurs, our community and our students cannot reach full potential. Reaching this potential in mathematics relies upon the academy and higher education engaging in critical, challenging, sometimes uncomfortable conversations about the detrimental effects of race and racism on our community. The time is now to move mathematics and education forward in pursuit of justice.”
Not to be outdone by their sister organization, NCSM and TODOS issued a joint statement in which they state that mathematics is “unjust and grounded in a legacy of institutional discrimination.” The statement also claimed that making students “master the basics” of mathematics leads to “segregation and separation”. They closed their joint statement with a call to all math instructors to adopt a “social justice stance” in the classroom. Remember as we carry this conversation forward that children are an oppressed tribe according to intersectionality. Thus, if a child or group of children struggle within a classroom it is due to oppression and only due to oppression.
When a child, and especially a child of color, struggles in school disciples of CRT do not allow for discussions about; single parent households, effort by the child, the lack of positive male influences, violence in the community, competency of teachers and staff, poverty, and the myriad of other environmental stresses placed on a child’s mental and emotional stability and safety that are needed for the child or group of children to succeed academically. Because under Critical Race Theory, the answer to everything is racism.
That an objective science like mathematics is racist sounds like insanity. But this is exactly what a great many mathematics instructors are being taught, and a portion of that teaching is that mathematics is not a science but instead is an art and as such it is conceived by human intellect and thus is subjective and since according to CRT everything conceived by human intellect is racist math is racist.
First and foremost it does not matter what instructors believe (have faith) about mathematics, it is a science. The definition of science includes these words: “A science is any study that uses observable data to gain and use systematic and formulated knowledge. This knowledge is then used to postulate theories which may either be proven or falsified via observation of repeatable proofs (experiments)” Mathematics contains provable hard facts that are proven by observation and are repeatable. It also postulates theories which can be tested by repeatable and observable experiments (problems). Like all other sciences mathematics contains scientific laws which are statements based on repeated experiments or observations, that describe or predict a range of natural phenomena and in all cases they are directly or indirectly based on empirical evidence. Just a few of these mathematical laws are: Benford’s Law, The Law of Large Numbers, Zipf’s Law, The Commutative Law of Addition, The Commutative Law of Multiplication, etc.
The statement 2+2=4 is not based in oppression it is based on observable and repeatable non-discriminatory data. But that is not what our nations math teachers are being taught and passing on to their students. Laurie Rubel, who teaches math education at Brooklyn College, says that the idea of math being cultural neutral is a “myth,” and that asking whether 2 plus 2 equals 4 “reeks of white supremacist patriarchy.”
“Y’all must know that the idea that math is objective or neutral IS A MYTH,” she tweeted.
Kareem Carr, a Ph.D. student at Harvard University, weighed in with, “People say it’s subjectivism to ask if math is Western. I don’t get that. It’s an objective fact that some groups were more involved in the creation of modern math than others. They may have been *trying* to make it objective but it’s not stupid to ask if they actually succeeded!”
I could continue on with hundreds of like statements by hundreds of mathematic teachers, but there is no need. The facts speak for themselves; math is objective and as such subject to Laws that govern it. The disciples of Critical Race Theory are incapable of rational thought, and while is easy to use logic and rational thought to rebuke their ideology, they continue blindly in their cultic religion having been purposely indoctrinated into their faith by the apostles of Cultural Marxism. And having been indoctrinated they in turn make disciples in their own image of all the students who study under them unless these students are securely grounded in the Truth. And the Truth that is the only defense against this dangerous cult is Jesus Christ. Without him we all are easily deceived by a world that hates Him and all He offers.
How do teachers and administrators become disciples of Critical Race Theory? Mostly in takes place in the colleges and universities that produce our education professionals, But the indoctrination into the Cult of Critical Theory can also take place in other less likely environments. In Virginia literature teachers as a part of their continuing education requirements take a class on how to introduce Critical Race Theory into their English classes.
Of course, this seminar doesn’t introduce itself this way. The leader introduces the materials by saying: “Our goal is achieving equity in and out of the classroom, and the primary way to achieve equity is through literacy.” This is the last time that anything related to reading or writing is mentioned in this seminar. Instead, the instructor begins to tell her attendees that they will begin by reflecting on how their own built in biases have resulted in disparate outcomes within their classrooms. She gives them instructions on how to recognize their own prejudices, sexism, genderism (notice the two things are not the same in her eyes), social status favoritism, racism, etc. and then they are told to spend the next 5 minutes reflecting on how they have biases.
The entire seminar is a textbook example of how cults soften their members psychological defenses by priming them to accept increasingly radical statements. After their defenses are reduced by a bombardment of radical statements presented as facts and they are now convinced that they are guilty of the sin of racism the indoctrination into their salvation as anti-racists begins. The attendees were guided through an activity where they practice “confronting” their “racist” colleagues in their ignorance of their own racism. (Remember all white people are racist, no POC, just white people). One of the offensive racist statements a fellow teacher may make is “everyone is equal in my class”. This statement is racist and must be confronted when spoken.
After the activity is complete, again the participants are told to reflect on their feelings and also about how the other person’s unknown biases are recognized. Over and over throughout the training session the attendees are told they are to pause and reflect over their biases. This is a classic cultic practice. Cults encourage and lead members to mull/reflect/mediate continuously over a topic because doing this eventually muddies and confuses their convictions. Once a person is caught in this loop of self-doubt they become very malleable and susceptible to indoctrination into “right think” This indoctrination technique was first used on a large scale in post-1922 Russia as the foundation for all their teaching in the State schools. The founders of the Frankfort School brought it with them and have been using it in education in the United States for eight decades. Sadly it is no longer on the fringe in our education system, but it has become the normative state for the public education system in our society.
Having identified Critical Race Theory and how it has infiltrated all levels of our culture it is time to move into the proof of my statement that Critical Theory and all its branches are in direct opposition to the tenants of the true Christian faith. We will use Scripture and only Scripture to do this. We will not use mankind’s reasoning skills, or any “newly revealed” knowledge of what Scripture says. We will allow Scripture to speak truth to us and we will used Scripture to interpret and affirm my positions and statements.
