I have taken a lot of people to jail. Given many breaks. Prayed for people I don't even know. Yes, and at times I have been "violent" when I had to be. I have been kind when I could.
I admit I have driven to some dark place and cried by myself when I was overwhelmed.
I have missed Christmas and other holidays more than I wanted to.
Every cop I know has done all these things and more for lousy pay, exhausting hours, and a short life expectancy.
We don't want your pity, I don't even ask for your respect. Just let us do our jobs without killing us"

Big mistake! $9000+ dollars up in smoke and they bailed the State. Apparently caught them in Texas doing the same stuff and as far as I know, nothing happened to them and no one recovered their money. Filed a complaint with the AG's office. No money recovery but they did make it so that Roofers had to prove being bonded in the State. Small consulation for being stupid and trusting someone's word! Live and learn is right!

I check references and I ask them right on the spot to give me the names of not only the references they want to give me but I also ask for the last three jobs they completed. I verify they workers are insured and I call their insurance company to verify the insurance is in force. I had what I thought was a leak under my house. Had a guy out that came highly recommended. He spent half a day doing nothing but racking up my bill. Then he told me I had a leak alright, and he would need to tunnel under the house and cut a hole in my formal living room right in front of the fireplace. Something didn't seem right about the guy. I got two other estimates and the other two companies put a camera down the pipes and told me there was absolutely no leak. The first guy told me he would send me a bill for his work but I never got a bill. That was good because I had to pay two other companies and found out the first guy was a fraud. If the guy can't even bill for his fraud work, then you know he is no good.

Higher household incomes was just one of the benefits from the Trump economy. And they were permanent, at least until the commies that are controlling lyin biden crash the economy as is their plan.
The rise in income from stimulus checks is a temporary one time thing. Your income goes up one month cause you got a big check. Then the next month it's right back where it was.
You income going up due to a raise, or your company expanding or your business thriving is a permanent thing.
Not the same thing. But the commies want you to think it is, because they are going to try to sell the idea of a guaranteed annual income, which is a pure communist idea.

Plumbers finally finished up late yesterday afternoon and it works like a dream.
And of course now that we have new plumbing my loving spouse has decided we need a new washer and dryer.
Doesn't make a lick of sense to me but that's what we'll be doing tomorrow...

Love me some guacamole! :) Mash up some avocado, mix in some chopped onion along with your favorite salsa, maybe just a small touch of Miracle Whip, and a splash of lemon juice to keep it from turning brown too quickly and dip in with your favorite corn chip! ReplyDeleteI like avocado with my eggs. I make my own guacamole. This is where they are grown. Central Valley in California. So we get pretty good local stuff. That's one of the few crops left that can grow in the Central Valley after the commie libs shut off the water to the farms there, causing widespread poverty and crime from the illegals that no longer have all the farms to work. Now they just squat in empty homes and steal everything that's not bolted down.
One more successful effort by the democrat/communist party to create havoc. And then the Kenyan comes out here and blames the imaginary global warming for the lack of water, which is actually caused by the commie government diverting the water from the snow melt pretending to help some baitfish, but actually just to cause poverty and starvation and run farmers off their land. Understand that in some cases there may not necessarily be a true shortage with certain items, but retailers will follow government "guidelines" in order to "prevent hoarding." Meaning, the retailers will be told to acclimate the public to the idea of rationing as a way of life.
I would note that product rationing under government influence or request (or demand) is very common within socialist and communist countries with failing economies. I would also note that usually, hyperinflation or stagflation often strikes these same economies resulting in forced government price-fixing and extreme supply breakdowns. I expect all of this to happen within the U.S. over the next couple of years, however, for now, let's focus on goods that are probably going to become scarce in the near term. Be Prepared...
Rationing by totalitarian governments is not so much meant to protect supply chains as it is meant to prevent the public from stocking enough goods at one time to become more independent from the system. With a year or more of basic necessities in every household, the majority of crisis events would not trigger panic in the populace, and panic is exactly what the establishment wants. They want you to be as unprepared as possible, with only a week's worth of supplies at any given time. If you are always worried about where next week's food and other necessities are going to come from, it is very difficult to find the motivation and will to rebel against the system that is abusing you.

Cities are going to remain the hardest-hit areas when the supply chain slows down. Meaning, if there is a breakdown in the "just in time" stocks of retailers, the cities will be hit first. During the last lockdown, I noticed people from larger towns and cities, even out-of-state people, coming to our rural area and buying up supplies in the local stores because the stores where they were from were empty of specific goods. Do not be surprised if this happens again in the near term.
Now is the time to stock the goods you might need for the next several months, while the economic and pandemic situation is relatively quiet.

ReplyDeleteIn between working with the plumbers, looking for and installing the new washer and dryer we've been preparing to head for Colorado early Sunday morning.
Had the house rented, meals planned, supplies purchased. I even went as far as signing up for a AAA membership just in case of some kind of trouble on the road.
Just for the fun of it we bought new walkie talkies so the kids could keep in touch between vehicles.
Bought two new audio books because my wife and I both enjoy listening to them when we travel.
Yep, it was all set.
Then late yesterday afternoon it all went to shit.
In their never-ending efforts to keep the corona fear front and center the governor and her KDHE placed Colorado on some kind of no travel list.
Oh, we could still go but we'd have to quarantine ourselves for up to 10 days once we came home.
My first thought was, screw em, unless they're stopping us at the border, who the hell's gonna know we went to Colorado in the first place?
Oh yeah, my employer. My wife's employer. The grand kid's schools.
So much for that...

They lost the House, to the largest majority in modern times. They lost the Senate, and they had a filibuster proof Senate when the Kenyan was elected. Then they lost the Presidency. And President Trump appointed three Supreme Court Justices. They aren't everything we hoped at this point, but imagine if Killary had won and she appointed the three. I shudder at the thought.
So never underestimate the American people. This happens. They elected Jimmy Carter, who was not as bad as biden and that gave us Ronald Reagan. The democrat/communists are working hard to restructure our election process to make it easier to steal elections, but chances of pulling it off are slim.
So when we get the power back, and we will, we should respond in kind. Hearings. Impeach biden after he is long gone from office. Full investigations into his corruption, of which there is plenty. Pass election laws like crazy. Pack the Supreme Court with three more conservative justices. Lower taxes. Rebuild all the damage they have done, and along the way reek havoc on the democrat/communist party.
Let's play fair, friends. Fair being give back what we get instead of hiding and watching. Getting rid of the democrat pretending to be a republican Liz Cheney is a great start. But there's plenty more just like her. Get rid of em all. Every one.

I do not have faith that the Republicans will actually take advantage of that situation and use their power to actually try to take back the country from the "domestic terrorists" of the Democratic Party. Much like the Democrats, the power that they have never seems to assist them in a real "leadership" role. They don't know how to lead in many circumstances and really have no desire to lead, at least as far as getting this country back on track in it's traditional sense. Many of these RINO's have gone along with the MSM stories about how Donald Trump is still spreading the "lie" that the election was fixed, and that he instigated the January 6th "insurrection" on the Capitol! Topeka knows about this. Remember the fire under the Kansas Ave bridge where the homeless people live? It damaged the structural integrity of the bridge and it was closed for a long time.
Out here where I live in Santa Monica, one of the nicest neighborhoods in LA has been taken over by homeless. They have camps, they park broken down RVs all over. They rob, steal, vandalize, assault people and nobody talks about it but they shit everywhere. The neighborhood is under assault and is being occupied by communist agents. The damage from a fire and ensuing propane explosions literally in the middle of an area filled with multi million dollar homes is beyond imagination.
And the state of California and the city of LA are doing nothing. Absolutely nothing.

My wife just got home from a two week visit to Topeka. She needed a break from this nuthouse state so she went back where people are normal.

ReplyDeleteWe're about a year from peak Jimmy Carter. Runaway inflation, high unemployment. And keeping interest rates low to try to control the money supply just causes inflation. Producers are not producing goods, because of the threat of high taxes, high capital gains, punishing regulation returning and the lack of workers.
Inflation is defined as too much money chasing too little goods. The government pumping trillions of borrowed money into the economy causes this to spiral out of control.
We may need another Ronald Reagan and Art Laffer to bail us out. It took them over four years last time to undo the damage the peanut farmer did. It may be worse this time.
Prepare for another recession in about a year. Just in time for the mid terms so the commies can somehow blame Republicans for it. Probably claim they stopped them from spending even more money.
The American people, at least about half of them are foolish and stupid. They voted for this idiot, or whoever is actually running the country. And they will suffer along with us. Useful idiots they are.

Should Trump run in 2024? He and the people will decide. America by then is going to be a mess. We will need a strong leader like Ronald Reagan was after Carter wrecked the country. If Donald Trump decides to run, and enters the primary, and the voters give him the nod, then he will run. And he will win if the Republicans make it their job to stop the commies from stealing the election.

We have always known, but the radical muslims saw this coming so they declared open war on our only true friend in the mideast, Israel. Interesting that lyin biden is pushing solar as the future while he wipes out the economy by killing the production of cheap, safe and plentiful energy.
