Kinzinger: ‘I’ve Been a Republican Far Longer’ than Trump — Not Letting Him ‘Hijack My Party’
Representative Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) said Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press” that he had been a member of the Republican Party “far longer than” former President Donald Trump and declared that wasn’t going to “let him come in and hijack my party.”
Anchor Chuck Todd said, “How long do you fight to stay a member of a club or reform a club that doesn’t want you? I’m referring to the Republican Party.”
Kinzinger said, “Look, I’ve been a Republican far longer than Donald Trump has, and I’m not going to let him come in and hijack my party and turn it into something that great people like Ronald Reagan and George W. and George H.W. Bush and all the great leaders back didn’t want it to be. I’m not going to let Donald Trump win at that. That’s what the fight is about. I believe in what we used to believe in with 21st-century solutions, though.”
He added, “I think a lot of it is just an overload of information for people. So instead of kind of working through that information, a lot of people have just chosen when venue, what people, what personalities they trust and put their faith in it, I think similar to Donald Trump. I think people have to take responsibility for their own ability to work through misinformation, to remember what the Constitution is about, to be okay with losing power for a little bit, and let that actually reaffirm that you have to go out and win a next generation of conservatives. Right now, again, we’re sitting here with Donald Trump throwing up all the smokescreen of four months ago. We want to move on. It’s hard to do when he keeps bringing it back to a stolen election which, of course, wasn’t true.”

ReplyDeleteDonald Trump didn't "steal" the Republican party. We've been looking for a powerful leader since Ronald Reagan. The Bush family sure as hell weren't the ones. Trump was.
You can tell it's Trump's party by a couple of things.
One is that virtually the entire party is behind him. The other is how scared the commies are of him. He scares them shitless. Still does.
Whether he runs again or not, he's still the leader of the party. And they can't stop him. So fuck a bunch of commie rat bastards whether they call themselves democrat or republican. Still the same thing.

ReplyDeleteIn Wisconsin they were having a ceremony to honor fallen Police Officers when they were invaded by BLM (Burn, Loot, Murder) protesters. Using a megaphone, they shouted obscenities, insults and played loud rap music with the lyrics "fuck the police". They said it was their "right" to protest.
ReplyDeleteI would have loved to see a group of Proud Boys show up about then and wade into that group of commie loving parasites and crack a few heads. I bet more than one cop that was there was weighing whether the consequences of doing just that would be worth it.
This is the world we're living in. This is what happens when the vice president of our country says she "proud" of a thug who got shot while going for a weapon after resisting arrest for harassing a woman he was already charged with sexual assaulting.
This is the world we live in when the president of the United States says it's the cop's fault that all these riots are happening, says it during a speech supposedly honoring fallen officers.
This is the world we're living in. And it sucks. And we better take it back soon before we lose it all together.
I put us at about 1859 on the timeline of Civil War. The democrats are pushing it, hoping for war. Rebellious congressmen making seditious statements against their country. A whole party descended into anarchy and hatred for the country they live in and and sworn to protect. Commie rat bastards, every last one of them.

ReplyDeleteDisney stock is down 4%. They own ABC which broadcast the Oscars which nobody watched because hollywood sucks. And the ratings hurt their bottom line.
Their new big product is the Disney streaming channel. Which people aren't subscribing to and are cancelling, primarily due to Disney promoting the racist critical race theory, forcing their white employees to take training telling them what a racist piece of shit they are.
I think America is just about full up with this commie woke crap. Companies are finding that pandering to the woke commie crowd may make them happy, but the rest of us have long since had it.
I hope they all go broke. You attack America, which made you wealthy, you deserve to go broke. At the least.
Venice Beach, CA used to be a beautiful little beachfront community. With one of the most popular beaches in California, known for it's boardwalk with funky little shops and strange and odd people wandering around. It's where you find Muscle Beach, where Arnold Schwartzenager used to train. An open air gym where body builders work out.
ReplyDeleteYou could go to one of the many great restaurants, or get a snack. You could surf, or just walk the boardwalk and the beach taking in all the sights.
The houses in the neighborhood are valued in the millions. Many movie stars live there.
Now it's been taken over by homeless people. Tents everywhere. Lining the boardwalk and sidewalks. In front of the businesses. All through the neighborhood next to the multi million dollar homes.
Crime is way up. Vandalism. Theft. Assaults, robberies.
Why? Because California decided the homeless can camp anywhere they want. Anywhere. And nobody can do shit about it. You can wake up in the morning and there's a homeless camp in the alley behind your house. Or in front of your restaurant or store.
There are fires in the homeless camps. Dozens daily. Small and large. Drug addicts. Gangs. Needles everywhere. And they shit and piss all over the place.
It's turned from a beautiful beach community to a nightmare.
Think it can't happen to you? Well, come to think of it, it probably can't. Because if they tried that shit in Kansas, you guys would kick them the fuck out. Because that's how it works in the land of the free. You let them camp in the woods down by the river, and even then you go in periodically and clean them out. But you don't drive down residential streets and see homeless camps. You don't drive down Kansas Ave and see homeless camps in front of the businesses. Cause Kansans don't play.
I miss Kansas, to be honest.
