It's game day, boys and girls.
Yeah, I'm talking about my beloved Chiefs vs. the (Gutter Rats) Bengals game taking place at 2:00 this afternoon.
Regardless of how today's game plays out I doubt there's any possible way it can live up to last week's final two minutes. That may very well go down as the greatest playoff game in the history of the NFL.
And yes, I was out there front and center in boycotting the NFL when all those ungrateful bastards started taking a knee.
Well, that shit has pretty much died out and I did boycott it for a while.
But then it dawned on me boycotting the NFL was exactly what those anti-American son of a bitches were trying to accomplish in the first place.
Piss on em.
And if that makes me a hypocrite then I'm a hypocrite.
At least I'm not some kind of America hating piece of lying shit like some people I know are.
The following are a few game day predictions I came across this morning.
Go Chiefs!!!
Predictions for Chiefs vs. Bengals, AFC championship game
Share this article
Charles Goldman’s pick:
The Chiefs have all the momentum heading into this game after their thrilling overtime win over the Bills in the divisional round. They’re also hot for revenge after a Week 17 stinker in Cincinnati, where the team flat-out didn’t play their best. Penalties were a monster problem in the Week 17 game against the Bengals and the Chiefs haven’t had more than five penalties in a single game since.
The great thing about this game is that the tables are turned and Kansas City gets to host the Bengals at Arrowhead Stadium. There has been plenty of talk about the crowd noise heading into the game, but I’m just looking at how the defense has performed in general when they play at home. They’ve allowed fewer points, fewer total yards and have better sack numbers this season while playing at home.
A big thing that no one seems to be bringing up in this game is the coaching experience. This is Zac Taylor’s third playoff game as a head coach. Meanwhile, Andy Reid is appearing in his 34th career playoff game. It’s his ninth conference championship game too. That type of experience matters when it comes to the biggest stage.
Speaking of experience this will be the 11th playoff game that Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce and Tyreek Hill have played together since 2018. That experience enabled them to accomplish something special in 13 seconds and the ensuing overtime period against Buffalo last week. I have a feeling that the chemistry they have built during big games will come into play again for this offense on Sunday.
Chiefs win 38-24
Wesley Roesch's pick:
I don’t like being the guy who blames the referees, blah, blah, blah…
The Chiefs lost to the Bengals in Week 16 because of the refs. Sorry. That’s the facts.
You could argue, like we always do, that the Chiefs shouldn’t have put themselves in a position to have the game come down to officiating. And maybe you’re right, but at some point, we have to recognize that some games are just straight-up decided by terrible refs who make egregiously-bad calls that decide the outcome of the game. And Chiefs-Bengals was one of those games.
I don’t see that being the case this week unless Bill Vinovich decides to go off the rails (unlikely — he threw the least amount of penalties in 2021). I also see the Chiefs putting up more points this time than they did in that game (31) — the K.C. offense is rolling and just dropped 42 on one of the top defenses in the NFL.
The Chiefs should also have a better defensive game plan for this one. I see them blitzing less and allowing their front four to pressure quarterback Joe Burrow, which may be enough — he was sacked nine times last week. This should allow K.C. to drop more defenders back and contain Ja’Marr Chase and others.
Ultimately, I think the Chiefs can win this one handily if they do everything right. But since this is the NFL, I’m sure it’ll be closer than expected, but I still see K.C. pulling away near the end.
Chiefs win 41-31
Ed Easton Jr.'s pick:
The Chiefs are hosting another AFC championship game at Arrowhead Stadium for an unprecedented fourth consecutive year. In their way of returning to a third straight Super Bowl are the Bengals, who handed Kansas City a late-game loss at Paul Brown Stadium a few weeks ago.
The scene shift to Arrowhead Stadium will help this time around as the raucous crowd will do their best to make sure Joe Burrow hears them. The Chiefs’ defense should have Tyrann Mathieu back in the lineup, and he will be a significant factor in the secondary. Chris Jones will apply the needed pressure throughout the game on Burrow redeeming himself for missing opportunities last week against Buffalo. Burrow won’t have the same success connecting with Ja’Marr Chase as in Week 17.
On the offensive side of the ball, the focus will be on the effectiveness of the Chiefs running game. Clyde Edwards-Helaire feeling healthier heading into the game is a much-needed plus to avoid over-relying on Patrick Mahomes. The trio of Mahomes, Tyreek Hill, and Kelce will take care of business with exceptional play.
Chiefs fans should start planning their trip to Los Angeles in two weeks for another championship battle.
Chiefs win 28-17
John Dillon's pick:
This game is for all the marbles and it is hard to shake the feeling that a matchup of this magnitude is exactly what the Kansas City Chiefs are built for. The Bengals will prove to be a formidable opponent as they were in Week 17 when they upset the Chiefs in a nail-biting finish, but with everything on the line, a pick against Kansas City just feels futile. Maybe it’s because I’ve picked the Chiefs in every matchup this season that I’ll continue my run of homer-ism but, to me, this feels like a sure thing against a team with far less experience in huge games.
Joe Burrow is a special quarterback, especially when paired with Ja’Marr Chase. That said, against a team with the playoff pedigree of Kansas City, Burrow is likely to see his outstanding sophomore season come to an end. Elimination football tends to bring out the best of what each team has to offer, and in the opinion of this writer, the Chiefs outclass the Bengals on almost every level when they’re firing on all cylinders.
Watch for Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce to both give Cincinnati fits in the passing game, and for the defense to feel they have something extra to prove after nearly costing Kansas City their shot at another Super Bowl berth last week. If Tyrann Mathieu plays, as it appears he will, the Chiefs should have no problem containing the Bengals’ electric pass attack that gashed them at every opportunity earlier in the season.
I’ll call this in favor of Kansas City and expect it to be a game for the ages to pair with their stunning win over the Buffalo Bills last week to send the Chiefs to the big dance with a full head of steam.
Chiefs...42 to 23.... Thats my finale offer...
ReplyDeleteOr maybe not...
DeleteI'm about to lose my mind...
ReplyDeleteOne hell of a play off season with all these close games..
ReplyDeleteHope Mahomes can escape the jetter in this over time...
ReplyDeleteWhat a hell of a season...
ReplyDeleteAnd what a crappy game they played today...
How they got themselves into that losing situation does not make any sense! Oh well, what can I say....It is what it is and the Chiefs turned themselves around after their losing streak, did great, then stumbled a few times. I guess that is why they play the games. Over-all a really fun season with some classic finishes! Just not yesterday!
ReplyDeleteI love the Chiefs, I really do. And I love Mahomes, but I think he got caught up with too much show and not enough go in the second half. The Chiefs are still my team and I will be there next year cheering them on.
ReplyDeleteNow, for the SB, I will cheer for the cats. There is something about that "other team" I just don't like. Maybe it is the sissy blue color, I don't know, I just don't like them. My husband is from Ohio so that is another reason I will cheer on the cats, and I like frosted flakes and I like their helmets. Do I think they are the better team? No.
I just remembered another reason I don't like the Chargers. My orthopedic surgeon was the orthopedic surgeon for the Charges a number of yeas back. Doctor Berry was an arrogant, pompous twit. He was a good surgeon but very conceited. He also operated on my husband's hip. After the surgery I told doctor Berry just what I thought of him. He was shocked some little woman would give him an earful, then I flicked my hair around and left him standing alone in the hallway. It felt good. ;÷)
ReplyDeleteYou mean the LA Rams?
DeleteHa, ha, ha. I got my teams confused. How in the heck could I confuse the Chargers with the Rams? At least I didn't say the Minn Vikings. To be honest, I always get the California teams confused.
DeleteIt was a heart breaking loss - but I'm still and always will be a KC Chiefs fan.
ReplyDeleteI hope that the Chiefs can hold onto Tyran Matthieu -

ReplyDeleteBlack Lives Matter shuts down fundraising days after liberal states threatened legal action
by Andrew Kerr, Investigative Reporter | February 02, 2022 06:42 PM
Black Lives Matter shut down all of its online fundraising streams late Wednesday afternoon, just days after California threatened to hold the charity's leaders personally liable over its lack of financial transparency.
The move comes less than a week after a Washington Examiner investigation found that BLM has had no known leader in charge of its $60 million bankroll since its co-founder resigned in May. California and Washington recently ordered BLM to cease all fundraising activities in their blue states due to the failure of the Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation, the legal entity that represents the national BLM movement, to report information about its finances in 2020, the year it raised tens of millions amid the racial protests and riots that followed George Floyd's killing.
"We take these matters seriously and have taken immediate action," an unidentified spokesperson for the BLMGNF told the Washington Examiner. "We have immediately engaged compliance counsel to address any issues related to state fundraising compliance. In the interim, we have shut down online fundraising as we work quickly to ensure we are meeting all compliance requirements."
The donation button that used to be featured prominently on BLM's website was nowhere to be found as of Wednesday evening.
The California Department of Justice told the Washington Examiner on Tuesday that "BLMGNF is prohibited from soliciting donations so long as its status is listed as delinquent."
Despite the notice, BLM accepted a $1 donation from a Washington Examiner reporter based in California on Wednesday morning.
The California DOJ said Wednesday afternoon that it would not confirm or deny an investigation into BLM so as to "protect its integrity."
BLM also received notice from the state of Washington on Jan. 5 to "immediately cease" all fundraising activities in the state. Washington warned the charity that it could face fines of $2,000 for each violation, but as recently as Monday, the charity accepted a $1 contribution from a Washington resident.
Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita previously said BLM's refusal to answer basic questions about its finances and operations fits a common and disturbing pattern.
"It appears that the house of cards may be falling, and this happens eventually with nearly every scam, scheme, or illegal enterprise," Rokita, a Republican, said in an interview with the Washington Examiner. "I see patterns that scams kind of universally take: failure to provide board members, failure to provide even executive directors, failure to make your filings available. It all leads to suspicion."
Rokita said he would not confirm or deny that his office is investigating BLM, but he said the Washington Examiner's reporting on the group "certainly cause us to be concerned."
BLM's charity registration is also out of compliance in Connecticut, Maine, Maryland, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Carolina, and Virginia.

Well looks like he wasn't alone. I am sure there are a lot more of these slim balls around.

ReplyDeleteMoney problems aside, Black Lives Matter continues to harm America
FEBRUARY 04, 2022 06:30 AM
BY MIKE GONZALEZ
Thanks to stellar reporting by the Washington Examiner, we now know the main Black Lives Matter organization remains leaderless and refuses to account for more than $60 million. Yet, in many ways, the group has never had more impact. For example, its educational partner began its annual Week of Action on Monday.
Unfortunately, thousands of people continue to suffer from the mayhem BLM has created. Indeed, the United States has changed in deep ways since the Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation, BLM’s mother ship, helped traumatize cities and suburbs with riots in 2020. The leftist indoctrination that followed at schools nationwide by groups such as BLM GNF’s educational associate, BLM at Schools, troubled parents so much that it galvanized them to start pushing back.
The push to reprogram children with Marxist dogma is unlikely to end the recent reports, as they are unlikely to get much media attention. You can read the details here .
Still, the challenge is real.
The Black Lives Matter at School Week of Action is a case in point.
Children in school districts nationwide are being introduced to BLM’s race- and sex-based creed. That indoctrination takes place year-round, but it is most intensive this week. The BLM At School’s website says, innocently enough, that it is "organizing for social justice in education." But then it starts with a quote from BLM lodestar Assata Shakur, the communist police killer on the FBI's Most Wanted list. Shakur is holed up in Havana. The quote by Shakur, also known by her birth name Joanne Chesimard, ends with the line, "We have nothing to lose but our chains," which comes straight from the Communist Manifesto written by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels in 1848.
BLM At School’s 13 Guiding Principles includes "Globalism" and being "Queer Affirming" and "Trans Affirming." It also keeps BLM’s commitment "to disrupting the Western-prescribed nuclear family structure," another principle borrowed from Marx’s Manifesto. Chapters of BLM GNF took down this principle after Andrew Olivastro and I drew attention to it in 2020 — the Los Angeles chapter , for example, only has 12 principles — but the educational branch maintains it with pride.
Then there's BLM's impact on the streets.
Two recent studies, one published in the February issue of the Journal of Public Economics and another in December by a researcher at the Public Policy Institute of California, found that police reduced proactive practices in cities hit by BLM violence. This is known as the "Ferguson Effect" because it tracks rises in criminality in cities hit with BLM violence after the police killing of Michael Brown in 2014.
This BLM legacy may not convince the media to look at what is happening with BLM GNF, but perhaps our leaders should sit up and take note.

ReplyDeleteBLS - they pretend we have jobs and we pretend to work at them. What a crock of horse manure. The Bureau of Labor Statistics is currently pulling any old number out of their behinds. Why isn't anybody questioning these fake numbers? We are living in very dangerous times.

Hey everyone!
I live in the Ottawa National Capital Region. My adult son and I were up at the Parliament Buildings and surrounds last Saturday, the 29th, Sunday, the 30th and today, Saturday, Feb 5th. for the Freedom Convoy protest. I am joyous to report there were MASSIVE crowds of very friendly and positive people of all ages and NO MASKS!!! It has been bitterly cold here, but we could not be stopped. The fake news has been relentless with their slandering of the truckers and their supporters. I have to be honest – it took courage to go today. We thought there would be confrontations with counter protesters or worse. Instead it was a wonderful atmosphere. The police had NOTHING to do! When we looked down access streets they were jammed with people for as far as the eye could see at mid-afternoon. There are hundreds and hundreds of trucks lining designated streets. There is a hope and a resolve in the air. We were able to talk to some of the truckers parked on the street in front of Parliament to tell them that GoFundMe was refunding contributors automatically. My son received his refund this morning. He immediately tried to donate to the new site, but it is overwhelmed. We know the amount will surge in good time. The truckers are entrenched and encouraged by all the support they are receiving. The local towing services have issued a statement they will not help tow the trucks. Tens and tens of thousand of regular people will come out over and over again to show our support for the truckers. As the temperature gets milder the crowds will grow even more.
So to all the readers of this wonderful site – we are all in this together and the good, everyday citizens up north will not let you down. We will keep showing up for all the people who wish they could be there. BE ENCOURAGED!!!
Trucker's ROCK!! Thank you Kevin and all who keep the supply chain moving!
ReplyDeletePS: That is In spite of our so-called President! FJB!
ReplyDeleteSo much to be angry about.
ReplyDeleteSo...
The showing in Canada is pretty cool. Gives the little guy hope, seeing so many tired of this bullcrap.
And as far as those that keep things moving? Definitely thanking Kevin for that. And the rest of America that makes things happen. Some folks never stopped. Thank God for those people.
Lol... I'm not doing anything special. Just doing what they pay me for...
