ReplyDeleteAlthough I don't really like what he offered them on DACA, wishing if we really wanted the good ones to stay, each should be vetted for whether they are self-supporting or someone else is supporting them, not due to local, state, Federal programs, and welfare, Whether they have served honorably in the military( I still don't understand how they can join the military without being verified a US Citizen!), whether they have any felony charges against them or have had in the past, and whether they are currently in school or college, paying for it on their own without government hand-outs!
I know Trump probably figures he is pushing their hand, in doing it how he is doing it, offering them even more than what he originally started with but, I think he is trying to do two things, take away the argument from the Left that wants this to be a campaign issue forever and ever, and try to keep it from coming back to bite us again like it always has before, because no one has the guts to really address the issue!
