Let the feeding frenzy begin...

Oh, they got him now!

With yesterday's conviction of Paul Manafort and Trump's personal lawyer Michael Cohen the left-wing loons are once again all giddy about the prospects of finally taking down the President of The United States.

Impeach him, they're screeching!

We got him now, hang him, they're demanding!

Evidently, they're all overlooking the fact that the tax laws Paul Manafort was convicted for violating had absolutely nothing to do with Trump let alone the bullshit Russia investigation.

But hey, he was connected to Trump 10 or 12 years after the fact and that's good enough for them.

Hang him!

And as far as anything Trump's former lawyer goes, well, screw him.

First off, by secretly recording private and confidential conversations with his client he's already proven he's a piece of shit. So there's that.

Secondly, because he's facing prison time and Mueller holds all the cards he's suddenly more than willing to make any claim he's told to make.

So go ahead, you pieces of shit.

Start your impeachment proceedings.

Do it!

We'll see how far it gets you.

In the meantime President Trump will go about the business of looking out for and defending the American people.

You deranged haters can just keep on attacking our president all you want.

Go ahead and defend illegals wanted for murder over the safety of the American people.

Go ahead and side with former Nazi guards over the American people.

You bitched and cried over families being separated at the border yet you ignore the latest illegal who permanently separated a young girl in Iowa from her family by brutally murdering her and hiding her body in a corn field.

Just always remember one thing.

There's a civil war going on in this country.

It's getting worse by the day.

And you started it.

You impeach our president and you'll create a divide in this country that'll never be put back together.

To borrow a phrase from Anonymous.

We are legion.

We do not forget.

We do not forgive.

Expect us.

The only difference is that we're not anonymous.

We're tens of millions strong.

We're straight up in your face.

And we're defying your every move.

How you proceed from here is up to you.

Your move.

I suggest you choose wisely...

the Trump hating media is salivating heavily over the Manafort and Cohen stories... they're flapping their gums heavily and doing what they do best...

The Trump hating media totally nauseates me with the bullshit they spew.
I wonder how they'll feel when it is proven that President Trump didn't "collude" with anyone and all their efforts to oust him fail!

  2. Well when I heard that Cohen had hired Davis I knew he wasn't real bright for sure. We all know who, and what he is. So that pretty much summed that guy up. He will get exactly what he deserves as Davis sells him out and sends him up the river. LOL But Mark Levin had a pretty good explanation about the so called pay off's and the stories that Davis and Cohen are supposedly going to let out thinking they have him by his you know what. Will be real fun to watch Davis go down. https://www.breitbart.com/video/2018/08/22/mark-levin-donald-trump-is-in-the-clear-lanny-davis-blew-it-you-are-a-dummy-lanny/

  3. All this crap and the likes of Clinton's/Sharpton's are laughing and continue to skate along doing whatever they want. There is only one way I see all this ending and it will be a slow painful process as it was the last time. Also, while all this is getting sorted out, it gives Russia, China or who knows opportunities to come in to cause more trouble or maybe even takeover?

  4. As Barbara Jordan famously said, "my faith in the Constitution is whole;". This clear and concise blog bolsters my agreement with Jordan. I do not think the "system" is the key problem - - just like during the period leading up to the civil war the real problem is that a large segment of voters have the same superiority mentality that infected the slave owners of the old South. The fact is that Republican party is now controlled by wealthy Wall Street fat cat donors along with folks who fall into one or more of the following categories:

    1. Poorly educated, bigoted rural southern rednecks (primarily in the south but also in other rural areas of the country)

    2. Bible thumping, hypocritical, intolerant evangelicals

    3. NRA gun fanatics

    4. Right wing extremists such as the Neo-Nazis and KKK and

    5. Ill-informed, FOX/talk radio brainwashed white senior citizens without college degrees.

These comprise the GOP base that Trump stated would support him even if he shot someone on 5th Ave in NYC. Those in Category #4 are certainly the worst of the bunch. The intolerant evangelical hypocrites come in second. They are usually one issue voters (against pro-choice) who claim to respect the rights of the unborn but seemingly could care less about the rights of those who are murdered by easily obtainable firearms. And the fact that Trump has cheated on all 3 of his wives with a porn star, playboy model and others, bragged about groping woman private areas, and been accused of sexual assault by at least 16 women has not lessen their support for him. Most despicable are evangelical leaders like Mike Huckabee, Franklin Graham, and Pat Robertson who are always looking for opportunities to flatter Trump (although not nearly to the extent of FOX/talk radio Trump propagandists such as Dobbs, Hannity and Limbaugh).

Readers of this blog need to determine just whose side they're on. Equating Donald Trump to "the people" is exactly what the Nazis said about Hitler.

"The party is Hitler, Hitler is Germany, and Germany is Hitler! Sieg heil!
At Nuremberg, 1934". No, attacking Trump is NOT attacking America. Regular readers of this blog need some self reflection.

Remember - Oakland might be sort of small townish, but it's hardly rural.

  5. Mr. McGinty you have slandered countless patriots, many of whom have put far more on the line for this country than any of us. When none other than retired Admiral William McRaven takes Trump to task, he will be listened to, and his letter bears a reprint. If I were you I would read it very carefully. Recall that McRaven, a retired Navy admiral, was commander of the U.S. Joint Special Operations Command from 2011 to 2014. He oversaw the 2011 Navy SEAL raid in Pakistan that killed al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden.

    Dear Mr. President:

"Former CIA director John Brennan, whose security clearance you revoked on Wednesday, is one of the finest public servants I have ever known. Few Americans have done more to protect this country than John. He is a man of unparalleled integrity, whose honesty and character have never been in question, except by those who don’t know him.

Therefore, I would consider it an honor if you would revoke my security clearance as well, so I can add my name to the list of men and women who have spoken up against your presidency.

Like most Americans, I had hoped that when you became president, you would rise to the occasion and become the leader this great nation needs.

A good leader tries to embody the best qualities of his or her organization. A good leader sets the example for others to follow. A good leader always puts the welfare of others before himself or herself.

Your leadership, however, has shown little of these qualities. Through your actions, you have embarrassed us in the eyes of our children, humiliated us on the world stage and, worst of all, divided us as a nation.
If you think for a moment that your McCarthy-era tactics will suppress the voices of criticism, you are sadly mistaken. The criticism will continue until you become the leader we prayed you would be."

  6. I will add before the juvenile name calling begins, " asshole socialist commie, that you consider a number of things. Your comments are so out of touch with reality that they're bound to solicit nothing but laughter from the majority of Americans. You write,

"There's a civil war going on in this country.

Well, I see no signs of a 'civil war' or anything close to it. I see the Constitution and the wheels of justice continuing to work just as they have for over 200 years. Your comments do nothing but illustrate just how far you've removed yourself from reality. Or as Rudy Guiliani said, " Truth is not truth". Well not on this blog.

But while you impugn the integrity and patriotism of someone like Brennan, and I will assume Admiral McRaven as well, you only paint yourself into a corner. I suggest you consider what happened after the letter was published.

The first open letter penned by Adm. William McRaven, was followed by the release of a joint statement Thursday denouncing Trump for using his power to strip security clearances to allegedly punish those who speak out against him. The letter was first signed by 12 officials; three more later added their names.
On Friday, 60 lower-ranking former CIA officials showed their support in their own statement, according to a CBS News report. By Monday, public support for the document snowballed to more than 175 former officials.

You have attacked the CIA. You've attacked the FBI, and the Department of Justice. Why don't you rip the fig leaf off and denounce the Constitution altogether ? Perhaps democracy isn't for you. Would you be happier in Vladivostok ?

    1. Boz, ol' buddy, o'' pal, are you well? The Admiral is entitled to his opinion, but looky here - but when I left the service for the first time I had a secret clearance (I assembled certain things) and it was revoked when I left active duty. When you leave the government service anyone should have their clearance suspended. And the issuing of those things must have gotten easier over the years: had I informed the S-2 that I had voted for Gus Hall, I doubt the investigation would have gone much farther.

But yeah, Boz, you may have a point. I probably would be happier in Riga! Haw, haw haw!!!

  17. Part 1.

    Dear Mr. Brennan,
I understand that you are a political opponent of the current President of the United States. I understand that you are an American citizen, and you have the right to freedom of speech. I encourage you to utilize that right. I encourage you to speak your mind. I encourage you, as I do all Americans, to be heard. I implore you, however to cease and desist from continuing to attempt to portray yourself in the public media as some sort of impartial critic concerned only with the fate of the republic. I beg you to stop attempting to portray yourself as some sort of wise, all-knowing intelligence professional with deep knowledge of national security issues and no political inclinations whatsoever. None of this is true. You were never a spy. You were never a case officer. You never ran operations or recruited sources or worked the streets abroad. You have no idea whatsoever of the true nature of the business of human intelligence. You have never been in harm’s way. You have never heard a shot fired in anger. You were for a short while an intelligence analyst. In that capacity, it was your job to produce finished intelligence based on information provided to you by others. The work of intelligence analysts is important, however in truth you never truly mastered this trade either.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Part 2.

In your capacity as an analyst for the Central Intelligence Agency, while still a junior officer, you were designated to brief the President of the United States who was at that time Bill Clinton. As the presidential briefer, it was your job to read to the president each morning finished intelligence written by others based on intelligence collected by yet other individuals. Period. While serving as presidential briefer you established a personal relationship with then President Bill Clinton. End of story. Everything that has transpired in your professional career since has been based on your personal relationship with the former president, his wife Hillary and their key associates. Your connection to President Obama was, in fact, based on you having established yourself by the time he came to office as a reliable, highly political Democratic Party functionary.

All of your commentary in the public sphere is on behalf of your political patrons. It is no more impartial analysis then would be the comments of a paid press spokesman or attorney. You are speaking each and every time directly on behalf of political forces hostile to this president. You are, in fact, currently on the payroll of both NBC and MSNBC, two of the networks most vocally opposed to President Trump and his agenda. There is no impartiality in your comments. Your assessments are not based on some sober judgment of what is best for this nation. They are based exclusively on what you believe to be in the best interests of the politicians with whom you long since allied yourself. It should be noted that not only are you most decidedly not apolitical but that you have been associated during your career with some of the greatest foreign policy disasters in recent American history.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Part 3 and final.

As CIA Director for Barack Obama you:
-Presided over the Iran nuclear deal, which allowed Iran to escape from decades of containment and set the Middle East on fire.
-Watched while Russia annexed Crimea and then reestablished itself as a hostile force in the Middle East.
-Dithered and tinkered with organizational wiring diagrams at Headquarters while China annexed and fortified the entire South China Sea.
The extent to which you are tied directly to the Clintons, Barack Obama and the Democrat Party is clearly evident in the emotional nature of your recent commentary.
Ever since this president was elected there has been a concerted effort to delegitimize him and destabilize him. This has been an unprecedented attempt to undermine the stability of the republic in order to achieve partisan political advantage. You and your patrons have been complicit in this effort and at its very heart.

Now as the Mueller investigation collapses of its own weight and the extent of this conspiracy is beginning to become clear you are in evident panic. You should be.

You are free to do as you wish politically. Stop representing to the American people that there is anything else at play. You abandoned any hope of being a true intelligence professional decades ago and became a political hack. Say so.

Meanwhile, Senator Rand Paul’s assessment of you stands:
“John Brennan started out his adulthood by voting for the Communist Party presidential candidate. He’s now ending his career by showing himself to be the most biased, bigoted, over-the-top, hyperbolic sort of unhinged director of the CIA we’ve ever had.”
    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ So fuck off!

One of my old roommates from ESU was on FaceBook yesterday going off on how Trump should be impeached NOW. 42. Ken, and you’re a real live attorney, so doesn’t that mean you have to be accurate ? Oh wait, “truth is not truth”. You asked several questions and I think it’s only fair for me to answer.

So which of the five categories do you fit in ? Perhaps a little bit of each. Frankly, I’ve never thought your political views expressed in your comments reflected your real opinions. Yes, Dr. Blue ( not a shrink for the thousandth time, neurology … ) thinks you’re a moderate. Then again, there are those who will always fall into the “go along to get along” category. Hey, you reside in Topeka. We all need friends, so there’s that.
The ironic thing is that I’ve always considered myself a moderate as well, but not a moderate Republican – that wing of the Republican party is dead. What’s left is an executive hellbent on destroying every regulation and program that does not benefit him personally or his cronies, and a Hill that is complicit in this insanity. Just like the Brownback nightmare, these policies will harm Kansans. Given the high level of poverty in Kansas, and the high number of elderly , without the support of the federal government a lot of your elderly will go hungry. Perhaps that will include some of the posters here. But voting against one’s own interests has become something of a tradition among rank and file Republicans hasn’t it ?

Your comments about “the admiral” don’t deserve to be dismissed so flippantly. Note that the brutal evaluation of Trump’s presidency first articulated by John Brennan has attracted the support of over 170 co-signers, including Admiral McRaven, and others at various levels of the intelligence community. These are not intellectual lightweights, and I think anyone trying to impugn their patriotism is on thin ice.

I am “dismayed that confident prediction of the ‘impossibility’ of Trump’s election”. I would have expected a comment like that from the other posters. Dr. Blue is disappointed. I’m not ‘on point’ ? I beg to differ.

You “explained that malfeasance going back ten years and payoffs to a ho aren’t actionable against Trump”. Okay, let’s take a look at that. Whether the payoff was to a ‘ho’, or a priest, a defense contractor, a butcher, baker candlestick-maker is irrelevant. The issue is whether or not the payment was intended to influence the election by stifling a claim that could prove damaging to (in this case), the Trump campaign. THAT this payment was made is no longer contested. Michael Cohen testified that Trump was fully aware of the transaction, as well as to at least one other individual. After denying any knowledge… (nothing to see here, move along), Trump finally ‘fessed up and admitted to the truth. Hard to keep up with Cadet Bone Spurs. Oh wait, now that we’re all excited about the “Space Corps” that should be “Space Cadet Bone Spurs”. That fact that the ‘act’ occurred ten years ago as you say, isn’t as important as the time of the payoff. That took place prior to the election in 2016. While one could argue the motives for the transfer of money, I think in the court of public opinion anyone would be hard pressed to convince even the dullest among us that this was what most of us would call ‘hush money’. The Federal Election Commission requires that such payments be reported. Failure to do so is illegal. I believe the public is already pretty clear on what was going on. And I think a court would concur.

    ReplyDelete
  43. So here is issue two: The legitimacy of Trump’s “victory”. If it appears Trump’s campaign team violated federal election finance law, what other malfeasance is out there? I am dismayed that while Clinton won by 3 million votes, I am more dismayed by the fact that the electoral would have been in her favor had it not been for around 77,000 votes. I.E., Trump won the electoral college by a razor thin margin. Had l’affaire Daniels been exposed would that vote have been different?

Then there are the Russians. We don’t know where Mueller is with his investigation. But consider what we do know – there was a meeting at Trump Tower between Trump campaign officials and Kremlin emissaries. Donny Jr. slimy little man that he is, was ecstatic. Add to that other little tidbits like another campaign official Rick Gates confirming that he was in touch with Konstantin Kilimnik, and that Manafort with Oleg Deripaska, and well… where there is smoke there usually is fire. Regarding the Donny Jr. meeting, Trump first tried to explain it away saying it was about adoptions. Right.

So I have evolved. I accept the popular vote victory of Hillary Clinton. I no longer accept the “victory” of the electoral college by Trump. Trump is getting nervous. He should be. You in Kansas should be as well. You may be losing your meals on wheels.

I have a busy day and have sworn off weekend use of the internet unless I’m called into work. So I won’t be following up.

And sarge, McGinty etc….. you really might want to hold off on the invective. You only look lame, stupid, vulgar, crude and incapable of offering a real argument. My colleagues get a kick reading some of it though. One of them said Sarge reminded him of Mr. Haney… what was it… Petticoat Junction or something ??

  44. Haney was on Green Acres.

You don't accept Trump's victory? You're accepting a salary from the federal government, aren't you? Perhaps YOU'RE planning to become an ex-pat, too. 'Cause as long as you're here, he's the Pres.. The Dems wanting Trump impeached, so as to get Mike Pence, remind me of turkeys demanding that Thanksgiving come early. Remember what I said about hyperbole? Yes, 1865 talk is such, so is not "accept[ing]" Trump's victory. Remember, I didn't vote for him. But I daresay that Libertarians normally display more good sense than Dems do. He's the Pres. So was Obama. I accept both. Yes, the precious Harridan I'd have had a problem with, which would have necessitated a move to Marupes iela a little sooner than I would have wanted.

You really didn't describe which category I fit in. Using the process of elimination, you said I was a moderate, so 4 is out; I've been called LOTS of things, but NEVER a Bible-Banger, so I think 2 falls off; I'm hardly ill-educated, although I have lived in such as Concordia, Kans., and Mount Holly, Ver., but I don't think that is enough to fit, so 1 is gone, I don't watch Fox and have plenty of college degrees, so 5 won't fit, either. That leaves 3, but I don't belong to the NRA. And I don't vote strictly based on the 2nd Amendment anyhow. So I'm still wondering. And I don't hide my political leanings; everyone here knows I'm really a Nixon Republican. Yeah, there aren't a lot of Gerald Fords and Bob Bennetts around anymore. I supported Colyer in the primary. I talked to him at the "victory" celebration election night. Do you know he's spent time doing volunteer medical operations for Physicians Without Borders? I know you think he's just Brownback's toady, but what do you think of Kris Kobach? Think helping injured African children would even occur to him? Oh well, Colyer is yesterday's news, right?

Boz, you've never said what you thought about my Baltic Russian friends' uncanny prediction about the US election on Christmas night 2015? You did pooh-pooh it at the time. Frankly, it's more remarkable than Don Jr. meeting some Russian.

Concerning the closeness of the election, Hillary and Mook decided against Bill's advice to spend the weekend before the election with Beyoncé and a bunch of celebrities, while Trump went to the industrial Midwest to campaign. Being a good Existentialist, I believe that what you get is a result of your own actions, be it bleak or joyous. I'll bet the Harridan was thinking of that election night - as she hit the mai-tais and threw lamps around the room.

Oh well, have a good weekend. Mine will be spent packing. Riga and Budapest (where we have 5 nights with a window facing the Danube) await. Hey, Boz, do you want me to give your warmest regards to Viktor Orban?
