We'll see...

What's become of the once proud democrat party just keeps getting better.

Or worse depending on one's perspective, I guess.

Just for the fun of it I thought I'd just share a few headlines complete with links and a couple of videos to make my point.

Keep in mind the stories are all true.

The people in them are all real people.

In fact they're considered leaders of today's new democrat party.

And if there are any of you old democrats still out there who disagree with my assessment, you're either woefully misinformed, in complete denial, or you're just stupid.

Hang on to your hats, here we go.

Ilhan Omar retweets article branding all Trump supporters as racists

By Victor Morton - The Washington Times - Updated: 6:02 p.m. on Sunday, July 14, 2019
Rep. Ilhan Omar retweeted an article Sunday afternoon that made a flat blanket declaration that all supporters of President Trump are racists.

The Minnesota Democrat retweeted CNN contributor Wajahat Ali’s link to a Daily Beast article that declares in its headline and in the tweet Ms. Omar sent to her 1.15 million followers that “Trump Is a Racist. If You Still Support Him, So Are You.”

Ms. Omar has frequently called Mr. Trump a racist, including Sunday in the wake of his now-deleted comments on Twitter that she and other progressive freshmen House members should “go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came … come back and show us how it is done.”

But she had not previously categorized all Trump supporters in the way the Daily Beast article did. If Ms. Omar did not agree with the headline she sent out, there was no obvious sign of that Sunday evening.

“The president is a racist, in his words and his actions. Before you go clutching your pearls and extolling the virtues of “civility,” let me say this: Put a sock in it,” the Daily Beast article by Goldie Taylor began.

Ms. Taylor elaborated that “every person” not talking about what she called this obvious fact “is part of the problem.”

“This is not a new revelation, nor is it something that we can continue to ignore as though it were coming from a drunk uncle at the family barbecue. … Every person talking about his clothes as he cheerfully bares his ass is part of the problem,” she claimed.

Ms. Taylor concluded that “his words Sunday were not racially ‘charged,’ ‘fueled,’ or ‘tinged.’ They were unapologetically racist. And, if you support him, so are you.”

Remember the crazy shit that the Oregon Governor has been putting the Oregon Republican Legislators through?

    Well... here's the latest:

EXCLUSIVE: Oregon GOP launches recall effort against Democratic Gov. Kate Brown

By Valerie Richardson - The Washington Times - Monday, July 15, 2019

The Oregon Republican Party launched Monday a recall campaign against Democratic Gov. Kate Brown after a contentious legislative session that saw her sic state troopers on runaway GOP legislators fighting her climate-change agenda.

The recall paperwork, signed Monday by Oregon GOP chair Bill Currier, accused her of ignoring or overturning the will of the voters on driver’s licenses for illegal aliens and tax increases, as well as denying citizens protection from “the domestic terrorist threat known as Antifa.”

“Governor Brown has subjected the people of Oregon to a long line of abuses of power while at the same time refusing to address their legitimate concerns,” said the recall statement. “She has fostered a toxic political environment that stifles meaningful discourse. She has threatened retaliation against her own citizens when her political agenda is not successful in the legislature.”

Ms. Brown said she was “not backing down” after 11 Senate Republican legislators killed a Democratic cap-and-trade bill by fleeing the state for a week, denying the majority Democrats a quorum, near the end of the legislative session.

The Republicans ultimately returned two days before the session adjourned June 30 to take care of other legislative business.

The governor later praised legislators for an “extraordinary session,” citing bills on paid family and medical leave, health-care funding and housing investments, as well as the Student Success Act, which raises $1 billion per year for education by hiking taxes on the state’s highest-earning businesses.

She also vowed to revisit the cap-and-trade bill, calling it “unfinished business,” and hinted at executive action.

“My colleagues in the legislature and I were elected by Oregonians with a clear mandate to address the challenge of climate change,” Ms. Brown said in a July 1 statement. “We need to pass a cap and invest program that will achieve the state’s greenhouse gas reduction goals at the least possible cost while continuing growing our economy.”

The Oregon recall effort comes as the second undertaken in the West this year against left-tilting Democratic governors.

  7. Part 2 of 2:
In Colorado, the Secretary of State’s office approved last week petitions for a recall against Democratic Gov. Jared Polis, who took office in January, but that campaign is being led by the grassroots, not the state party.

Rep. Ken Buck, who heads the Colorado Republican Party, said party leaders would keep an eye on the ambitious undertaking, which needs 631,266 valid signatures to qualify for the ballot, a high hurdle in a state of 5.7 million.

“Efforts to recall Gov. Polis or any other elected official should be grassroots-led and independent of the state Republican Party. However, we will evaluate these movements as they proceed, just as we do with any potential recall or election,” said Mr. Buck said in a statement.

Another two recall petitions targeting Colorado Democratic state Sens. Pete Lee and Brittany Pettersen were approved last week, citing their support for four hotly disputed bills in favor of gun control, LGBT sex education, anti-fracking rules, and the National Popular Vote, all of which passed.

A recall effort against Democratic state Sen. Tom Sullivan backed by the Rocky Mountain Gun Owners fizzled in June after meeting with national Democratic opposition. Mr. Sullivan’s son Alex was killed in the 2012 Aurora theater shooting.

A fourth Democratic state legislator, Rochelle Galindo, resigned in May amid sexual misconduct allegations, which she denied, after the launch of a recall campaign. She was later cited by Greeley police for providing alcohol to a 19-year-old, according to Colorado Public Radio.

The former Secretary of State, Ms. Brown succeeded former Democratic Gov. John Kitzhaber after he resigned amid an influence-peddling investigation in 2015, then won a term in her own right in November.
    _______

What would be really awesome if Republican Elected Officials rally up to forcibly remove the Freshman Brat Brigade from Congress and go more steps further to include the removal of Democrats in both the Senate and House for obstruction and unwillingness to focus on issues most pertinent to the American people.

  21. KIEV, Ukraine (AP) - Ukraine has arrested an alleged major computer hacker who has been sought by the United States for years.

The head of Ukraine’s national security service Ivan Bakanov said Tuesday that Mykhailo Rytikov was arrested in the city of Odessa, in an operation conducted in coordination with Britain and the U.S.

Bakanov said the operation found a data center with about 150 servers and that study of the equipment indicated some were operated under “control and cover of the Russian special services.” Moscow hasn’t commented on the accusation.

Rytikov, a Ukrainian national, was indicted in the U.S. in 2013 with running a sophisticated hacking organization that stole at least 160 million credit and debit card numbers. But Washington and Ukraine don’t have an extradition treaty.

EDITORIAL: Democrats may one day regret looking further into Mueller report

By THE WASHINGTON TIMES - - Monday, July 15, 2019
    ANALYSIS/OPINION:

Democrats dissatisfied with the contents of the Mueller report on Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election can’t seem to resist the temptation to pry off the lid of Pandora’s box. Craving the key to impeaching President Trump, they risk the danger of refusing to let bad enough alone. Their obstinacy could ultimately serve the greater good they don’t intend, giving Republicans a stage for exposing mischief unleashed by the Obama administration.

Both parties are anxious to get a look at special counsel Robert Mueller when he is called to answer questions about the contents of his 448-page analysis of the results of a two-year investigation into tales of Mr. Trump’s collusion with Russia to fix the 2016 election. So eager are some congressmen to take a shot at the Mueller findings that the Democrats who control the process have reluctantly delayed hearings a week until July 24 so they can have more time to think up questions for Mr. Mueller. Mr. Mueller has vowed to stick to the conclusions he reached and put into his report. He says he has no interest in igniting a political spectacle.

Rep. Adam Schiff, chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, has the unenviable task of proving that despite Mr. Mueller’s failure to discover scheming between the Trump campaign and Russians to steal the 2016 election, the public should believe it did, anyway. Mr. Schiff has repeatedly claimed that the evidence that Mr. Mueller didn’t find is sitting “in plain view.” When ordinary people cling to delusion, it’s called schizophrenia. When the president’s obsessed critics do it, they call it good citizenship.

Rep. Jerrold Nadler, the chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, is savoring his opportunity to ask Mr. Mueller why he didn’t explicitly exonerate President Trump of obstructing justice. Citing Justice Department policy of regarding the indictment of a sitting president as unconstitutional, he obviously wants Congress to pursue impeachment now.

U.S. Attorney Gen. William Barr has tried to explain to these thick legislators that, since the Mueller investigators could not prove collusion, logic dictates there was no pre-existing crime for the president to obstruct. That’s why he, with the backing of deputy Rod Rosenstein, took it upon himself to clear the president of suspicion that he obstructed justice.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Part 2 of 2

Logic further dictates that, in accordance with his appointment order to look into “any matters that arose or may arise directly from the investigation,” Mr. Mueller should have followed up to ask why the Obama administration spied on the Trump campaign well in advance of the election.

But he didn’t. Republicans on both committees appear intensely interested in asking Mr. Mueller to explain why he chose not to seize the opportunity to probe deeper and get to the rockbottom of the collusion. If he had, he might have confirmed what the president’s defenders were saying to anyone who would listen, that the court authorizing spying on the Trump team based its order on accusations in “evidence” paid for by Hillary Clinton’s campaign and the Democratic National Committee.

The special counsel should be asked to justify his reasons for packing his investigative team with Democratic Party allies, including a former Hillary Clinton lawyer and a former prosecutor close enough to Mrs. Clinton to join her commiseration gala the night she lost the presidency to Donald Trump. There is no explanation for how a lawyer of Mr. Mueller’s skill and stature could have committed an unforced error of such magnitude.

That Russia engaged in a variety of strategies to meddle in the 2016 presidential election is beyond reasonable doubt. The Mueller report has already said that, and said that the Trump campaign had no part in the meddling. Democrats who refuse to take no for an answer might well rue the day they, like the foolish Pandora, opened such a box of strange and mysterious evidence.

My 'Tweets were NOT Racist', Trump says; Dems are running a 'con game'
'I don't have a Racist bone in my body'

By Bailey Vogt - The Washington Times - Updated: 11:23 a.m. on Tuesday, July 16, 2019
President Trump dismissed claims Tuesday that his tweets telling four congresswomen of color to go back to their home countries were racist.

“Those Tweets were NOT Racist. I don’t have a Racist bone in my body,” he tweeted.

The president sparked controversy Sunday by saying the four congresswomen should all go back to their “broken and crime infested places from which they came.” Three of the representatives were born in the U.S., and Ms. Omar, who was born in Somalia, has been a naturalized citizen since she was a teenager.

In response to the tweets, House Democrats unveiled a resolution condemning Mr. Trump’s “xenophobic” comments aimed at the congresswomen. It will likely be voted on Tuesday.

Mr. Trump said this resolution is a part of the “Democrat con game.”

“Republicans should not show ‘weakness’ and fall into their trap. This should be a vote on the filthy language, statements and lies told by the Democrat Congresswomen, who I truly believe, based on their actions, hate our Country. Get a list of the HORRIBLE things they have said. Omar is polling at 8%, [Ocasio-]Cortez at 21%. Nancy Pelosi tried to push them away, but now they are forever wedded to the Democrat Party. See you in 2020,” he said.

The poll numbers Mr. Trump mentioned were published by Axios from a group who asked to not be named and surveyed “white, non-college voters.”

Continetti: Ocasio-Cortez and Omar Are a ‘Political Problem for the Democrats’
    'We have no clear winner'

Washington Free Beacon Staff - JULY 15, 2019 9:05 PM

Washington Free Beacon editor in chief Matthew Continetti said that freshman Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D., N.Y.) and Ilhan Omar (D., Minn.) will become a lasting "political problem for the Democrats" if they continue to be the face of the party.

Continetti said that the latest incident involving the two, where a spat with Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.) spun out into a greater argument with President Donald Trump, fits into a pattern of arguments between House Democrats and Trump.

"Friday, it was ‘the squad' insinuating Nancy Pelosi was a racist," he said. "Now, after Trump's comments, it's all about Donald Trump's racism. But I would say this: this is following a very common pattern with Trump controversies. There is some comment, and everyone responds and attacks Trump for the comments, and Republicans slowly begin to denounce the comment. And then invariably the left, the Democratic party, and some elements in the mainstream media overreact, and we have no clear winner."

Continetti added that if Ocasio-Cortez and Omar continue to be the center of attention in Democratic controversies that could be harmful for the party.

"I would say the memory of this controversy will probably fade, but if the association of the Democratic party with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Ilhan Omar does not fade, that is a political problem for the Democrats," Continetti said.

The so-called "squad" of Reps. Ocasio-Cortez, Omar, Ayanna Pressley (D., Mass.), and Rashida Tlaib (D., Mich.) held a press conference on Monday afternoon after Trump denounced them in a series of tweets over the weekend. The congresswomen called for Trump's impeachment, despite comments from Pelosi opposing that measure.

Omar accused Trump of endorsing "white nationalism," and without addressing her own anti-Semitic comments, said that he must be held accountable for his actions.

"I have not made impeachment central to my election or my tenure, but since the day that I've gotten elected, I have said to people, it is not if he will be impeached, but when. So it is time for us to stop allowing this president to make a mockery out of our Constitution. It's time for us to impeach this president," Omar said.

"Impeachment is so divisive to the country that unless there’s something so compelling and overwhelming and bipartisan, I don’t think we should go down that path, because it divides the country. And he's just not worth it," Pelosi said in March.

'Instead of focusing on us, she's focusing on being famous'
By Jennifer Harper - The Washington Times - Wednesday, July 17, 2019

The political life of a certain New York Democrat has gotten a little more complicated.

Scherie Murray — a New York businesswoman and advertising executive who has been active in Republican politics in the Empire State — launched her campaign for the congressional seat held by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on Wednesday.

“Your representative in Washington chooses self-promotion over service, conflict over constituents, resistance over assistance. Queens and the Bronx needs someone who will create jobs instead of turning them away,” she says in a new campaign message.

“There is a crisis in Queens, and it’s called AOC,” Ms. Murray told Fox News.

“Instead of focusing on us, she’s focusing on being famous. Mainly rolling back progress and authoring the job-killing Green New Deal and killing the Amazon New York deal,” said the candidate — who immigrated from Jamaica as a youngster.

“AOC chooses self-promotion over service, conflict over constituents, resistance over assistance. We need to build bridges, not burn them down,” Ms. Murray tweeted on Wednesday.

Ms. Murray is the fifth Republican is arise to challenge Ms. Ocasio-Cortez for her seat in Congress, which she has only held for six months.

Former law enforcement officer John Cummings, journalist Ruth Papazian, business entrepreneur Antoine Tucker and construction contractor Miguel Hernandez has also made plans to challenge AOC.

New York’s congressional primaries will be held on Tuesday, June 23, 2020.

By Gabriella Muñoz - The Washington Times - Updated: 5:50 p.m. on Wednesday, July 17, 2019
The House voted down Rep. Al Green’s articles of impeachment on Thursday, firmly tamping down on attempts to act on a growing call within the Democratic party.

The motion to table, and effectively kill, was backed by Republicans and a majority of Democrats.

However, 95 Democrats backed Mr. Green’s play, far more support than he’s received before.

This was Mr. Green’s third attempt at forcing an impeachment vote.

He tried twice, in December 2017 and January 2018, when Republicans controlled the chamber, though about 60 democrats joined him each time.

More than 80 Democrats have called for impeachment or at least to formally start that process with an inquiry.

Mrs. Pelosi instead would rather keep her party focused on legislative issues, while several of her committee chairs work on their respective investigations into the president’s administration and personal businesses.

“We have six committees who are working on following the facts,” she told reporters earlier on Wednesday. “That is the serious path that we are on.”

Former special counsel Robert Mueller’s blockbuster testimony, which many have said could be the linchpin for Democrats’ decision on impeach, is slated for next Wednesday.
