Was Governor Brownback right after all?

It's starting to look like Governor Brownback was just ahead of his time. Now Governors in 13 states are proposing tax cuts because they have seen the pro-growth results of tax relief.

Kansas tax cuts would have succeeded as well except for two factors. One was our legislature's steadfast refusal to cut spending, and the other was the Kenyan's economic policies of the government's foot on the neck of business.

Under the eight years of the Kenyan president our economy was either flat or regressed. Regulation after regulation used to suppress and stifle economic growth. The Kenyan's economic policy was across the board in line with his political philosophy. Marxist in nature, redistributionist by default. His policies by design were intended to stifle economic growth, resulting in increases in welfare, food stamps, Social Security disability and general dependence on the government instead of American self dependence. This was a direct outgrowth of his central planning, big government Marxist nature.

The democrat/communist party long ago adopted this as their standard and the result was a Jimmy Carter economy. Flat, stagnant and feeding dependence on other people to provide their sustenance instead of the long held belief Americans typically had that it was our job to provide for our family, not someone else's.

Next quarter GDP growth is predicted to exceed 4%. The obama people said that was structurally impossible to achieve. President Trump said hide and watch

Communism is built on greed and envy. Others have stuff. I don't have as much stuff. They should be forced by the government to give me some of their stuff. It fails every time. It will always fail. It's an atheistic belief system that forces people to rely on other people instead of themselves.

So Governor Brownback took office on the heels of a democrat/communist governor who went on to have a big hand in destroying our health care insurance system with obamacare, which was nothing less than a Marxist based redistribution system. It failed, because Marxism always fails.

Those tax increases could have done what is happening today if the federal government had not been actively opposing all pro growth economic policy. Kansas being a fairly small economic force could not overcome the oppression from Washington, dooming us to failure.

Now today, thirteen governors are pushing tax cuts. Oklahoma and Colorado are pushing tax increases. This could benefit us, but not now that the democrat/communist party and the godless left wing media in Kansas fed the public with enough lies to convince them to reverse the tax cuts. So now we are on the losing side.

Governor Brownback was right. His ideas failed because our Federal government made sure they failed. Now we have a pro growth President and look what is happening. Our economy is on a rocket ship ride to growth.

Too bad. It's probably too late now, thanks to the democrat/communists in Kansas and the hateful Marxist media that convinced Kansans to believe them instead of thinking for themselves.

Family and volunteers continue to search for a missing 14-month-old toddler in Sodus, New York after the boy’s mother was discovered last week in a shallow grave on the property where she worked. Authorities have cancelled the Amber Alert for Owen Hidalgo-Calderon and officially categorized their search as a “recovery” operation since they don’t expect to find the toddler alive.

Police have 25-year-old Mexican national Evarardo Donoteo-Reyes, a twice-deported illegal immigrant, in custody for tampering with evidence after he admitted to moving the body of his 18-year-old girlfriend, Selena Hidalgo-Calderon.

ABC to Lose $60 Million in Ad Revenue After ‘Roseanne’ Cancellation

Choices have consequences, and it looks like ABC is about to pay the price for cancelling its hit sitcom “Roseanne.” (RELATED: ‘Roseanne’ Canceled on ABC After Crude Tweets).

Already, conservatives are boycotting the network, citing the double standard of ABC allowing “The View” to remain on air while “Roseanne” was cut due to the star’s loose Twitter thumbs. (RELATED: ‘Roseanne’ Canceled; Why Not ‘The View’?).

But now it looks like ABC is about to suffer big time from a big source of revenue: advertisers.

“Roseanne” was the network’s undeniable hit series. Advertisers lapped up its stellar ratings. But with the show kaput, companies no longer have the kind of audience they wanted in its absence.

    The Washington Times reports:

“The abrupt cancellation of ‘Roseanne’ will not come cheap,” said Lacey Rose, television editor for The Hollywood Reporter.
“Although the decision was widely viewed as necessary given the racist nature of star Roseanne Barr’s social media attack on senior Obama adviser Valerie Jarrett, several sources with knowledge of the situation suggest that ABC and parent company Disney could be on the hook for tens of millions of dollars,” Rose reported.

“And that doesn’t include the foregone ad revenue,” she said, citing an industry report from Kantar Media that said that the revival of the 1990s-era sitcom was expected to drive $60 million in advertising dollars. Well to Bad ABC....

  8. It isn’t too often that someone in the White House media corps tries to pull a “do you know who I am?” on anyone, much less the Secret Service.

There’s a reason for this: Unlike athletes and singers and other such people who use the “do you know who I am?” card, most people don’t know who White House press correspondents are. Dan Rather was arguably the most famous, but this was in the days before he was the host of the “CBS Evening News.”

In other words, there aren’t too many people who can pull that ugly get-out-of-jail-free card in the White House briefing room.

    Advertisement - story continues below

But if someone was going to, it was going to be Jim Acosta. And of course he did, because … well, he’s Jim Acosta.

The whole thing was caught on video and has become a slight sensation on Twitter, at least for those of us who know who CNN’s bratty White House media correspondent is.

TRENDING: #MeToo Goes Too Far: Clip of Morgan Freeman ‘Harassment’ Mocked After Release

It’s difficult to tell from the beginning of the video what the issue was, but from what I can make out, it appears Acosta wasn’t wearing a security lanyard of some sort.

The Secret Service agent tried to explain to him that, yes, the rules to apply to him, too. But Jimbo wasn’t having it.

    Advertisement - story continues below

“I’ve been here five years and nobody’s …” Acosta said before trailing off.

The Secret Service agent responded that she was sorry, but she had not been there for five years, and all Acosta could do was thank her and walk away.

The original poster of the video characterized Acosta’s reaction as a “meltdown.” In all fairness, I wouldn’t go that far, but once you have to pull out any variation on the “do you know who I am?” card, well …

Acosta, for those of you who may have forgotten, is the same guy who actually decided to take to Twitter to complain that White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders hadn’t taken a question from him at three (three!) news conferences after making a scene about it in the media briefing.

Here was that petulance on display then. This Dick Head reminds me of Blue..

Kansas - The Great Kansas Tax Cut Experiment Crashes And Burns

Just as President Trump is ramping up his push for a major tax cut that he believes will pay for itself through faster economic growth, the Kansas template for that approach has crashed and burned. After four years of below-average growth, deepening budget deficits, and steep spending reductions, the GOP-dominated Kansas legislature has repealed many of the tax cuts at the heart of Governor Sam Brownback fiscal agenda.
    The Deficit Explosion

While overall employment barely increased and economic activity was lower than other states, Kansas saw a significant increase in the number of individuals with business income. The likely reason: That zero tax rate on pass-throughs.

No, Brownback was by ALL accounts of any significance, many from conservative pundits agree that his economic policies were a disaster.

Note, this is from Forbes, a pretty conservative publication.

    It’s Obama’s Economic Recovery, Stupid
Long before he was a presidential candidate, Trump was more than willing to trash the GOP economic policies that he now falsely claims are boosting the economy.

During his presidential campaign, Donald Trump made a habit of calling the unemployment rate, much like climate change, a hoax. On at least 19 different occasions, candidate Trump insisted the unemployment numbers were cooked. At a media event in September 2015, for instance, Trump bashed the rate, which stood at 5.3 percent, as “such a phony number,” and “the biggest joke there is in this country.” The actual rate, he claimed, fell somewhere between 18 and 32 percent, maybe even 42 percent. As late as December 2016, Trump was calling the jobs numbers “totally fiction.” But all this was while Barack Obama was president. Once Trump was inaugurated, the numbers became real.
After the first jobs report of 2017 was released, which revealed the unemployment rate was continuing its downward trend set under Obama, reporters asked Sean Spicer if Trump still believed the report was phony. “I talked to the president prior to this,” Spicer said, “and he said to quote him very clearly: 'They may have been phony in the past, but it’s very real now.'” Huh?
Trump’s tax cuts, as the Guardian recently pointed out, are set to kick in “at the worst possible moment,” with rising interest rates looming and a “danger of the economy overheating.” Indeed, there are signs that a severe economic downturn will occur under Trump—just as one has occurred under every Republican president since Reagan. Conservative economic philosophy over the past 40 years has been remarkably myopic: reflexively cut taxes and slash regulations to give the economy a quick boost, future budgets be damned.

And from the Wall Street Journal, http://projects.wsj.com/econforecast/#ind=gdp&r=20

    3.2%
    Projected: Q3 2018

  25. Brownback's tax cut was a disaster because it was massive! Then he borrowed or stole from KPERS and KDOT as if they were a bank with no payback. Projects were stopped and delayed, many that will never start again. Nothing much you will see on the surface was cut, but many planned projects were cut and it still didn't help and put us deeper in the hole. Temporary tax increases, were not removed, many income tax deductions were removed and many cut in half such as medical and property tax. Oh they have promised to turn back the clock, but they still have not turned back the tax increases or tax exemptions allowed on federal forms. Just like the promise to remove tax on food, it will not happen. Then you might as well let the courts do the budget planning it this gutless state.

Trump's plan may work, too early to see what long term effects will be? He didn't give you as much as you think, because he took away $4,050 for each exemption, line 42 on 1040 went bye bye. So yea they doubled standard deductions, but took away multiplying your exemptions by $4,050. Also, it is all temporary which may be good as it may not work out, time will tell. Many middle income people like me who itemize deductions, got screwed by the fed changes and then again when the state decided to pocket the extra dollars and not adjust state law to compensate for fed changes.

  40. obama spent eight years blaming Bush for the economy he inherited. Everything he did was designed to keep it flat and grow government dependence, like every good Marxist would. He never took any blame, it was Bush's fault. Then when the recovery started happening despite the best efforts of the democrat/communist party he took all the credit despite the fact that everything he did just inhibited the recovery.

So after eight years of blaming Bush, now he wants to take credit for the true recovery created by our President, Donald Trump.

That's all I hear these days from the godless left. Anytime they are confronted by the undeniable economic growth we are experiencing they try to credit the Kenyan for it.

But like I always say, if that's all you got, that's what you go with.

And all they got is lies and more lies.

  41. From obvious observations, blue doesn't come online unless it's during daytime hours and mainly between the 8 - 5 time slot. Must be when he's got access to a computer at his work.... well if he gets caught, he'll be suspended from his job....

President Trump just keeps on winning and there isn't anything blue can say about it. He can post all the faulty material he chooses but his posts aren't worth putting at the bottom of the bird cage -

We all see through blue - regardless of how he's so hateful, adamant that he hates President Trump.....look through the smoke screen blue puts up and you'll see that he's 150% fake, fake, fake.

Come out of the closet blue and throw away your fake hatred for President Trump.... admit that you're glad he's our President and that you're also proud of his accomplishments. After all blue....confession is good for the soul don't you know. 10-4?

  45. Uh oh... Things aren't looking too good for the Whore's lawyer nowadays.

A couple weeks ago he defaulted on the terms of his personal bankruptcy agreement. And as a result all creditors are free to go after him. He owes them something like $10 million.

Then after he was warned by a judge to drop his publicity tour.

Of course being the arrogant bastard he is he called the judge's bluff.

He's had to pull out of the Whore's case as well as the case against Trump's personal lawyer.

    Sucks to be him...

  54. update on hubby's truck. rear axle, inner & outer bed, they'll need to redo the Linex bed liner, but the good news is that the frame was not damaged. The cost to repair is in the 9,000. range but being the truck is worth far much more than that it looks like we'll get to keep the truck - haven't received 'official' determination from insurance yet. Hubby n' I would like very much to keep our truck - it still has a lot of life in it yet.
