It's Friday finally. New Years eve fast approaching, or as Sarge and I like to call it, amateur night. As for me, I'm staying home.
Hope everyone has a great New Years, if you're like me you'll sleep through the whole thing.
I don't know about you, but I think next year is going to bring some stuff that is going to blow our minds. I think our President is going to put the next phase of his war plan in effect, some godless liberals are going to jail, some more are going down in disgrace and this whole Russia fabricated nonsense is going away.
And hopefully, our President can get back to his goal, Making America Great Again.

ReplyDeleteI'm with you on not staying up for New Year's Eve Safe. Just can't seem to do the things that I used to do when I was in my 20's....(lots of laughs).
ReplyDeleteI've been battling a cold - the cold medicine makes me groggy - but I'm keeping my sense of humor....my hubby is also battling a cold. Also because of hubby's work hours - 8 o'clock in night time seems like midnight come lately - he gets up about 3 - 3:30 a.m. so he can clock in at 5 a.m. I get up with him - makes for a long day for me.
I've no regrets getting on the Trump train - I'm glad to see the swamp dwellers get what they've got coming to them.
Things don't look too good for the Democrats because they've spread too much crapola. I really hope that the Democrats and the Anti Trump Republicans get what they've got coming to them - ultimately I'd like to see Hillary et. al. and Obama et. al. indicted, charged, and sent to prison.
As for winter weather - we need a super long stretch of an artic blast...we've had too many mild winters here at home. Would love to get rid of the oak mites, mosquitos, chiggers, and the rest of the pesky creepy crawlie varments and a super long artic blast will take care of them.
Like you Safe, 2018 will bring lots of mind blowing stuff....

ReplyDeleteI hope that upcoming forecast is wrong too and that we don't get any more power outages out here. The one we got the other day only lasted about an hour and a half but the house got chilly in a hurry.
Planning on a pot of beef veggie soup tomorrow and some baking. Perfect weather for that.

ReplyDeleteThat don't sound like the cops in Wichita were thinking when they shot that guy who answered the door. That guy who lived there and was killed, didn't have a clue what was going on and would have been disoriented - confused when opening the door. Cops should know that and call or use bull horn to find out what is going on. Hell, if you ring the bell and the guys answers, that is a good sign SWAT isn't needed. I have two family members who are cops, not bashing, but they were wrong. Now if that family were black, there would be hell to pay, no nothing will happen as I think they were white.
Well, it is officially New Year's Eve Day. Although I don't really wish the time and my life away any more quickly than it is already going, I think I am glad that 2017 is done with!
ReplyDeleteI want to see a resolution to all of this Russia!, Russia!, Russia! B.S. and I want to see Hillary and Obama get a taste of Law and Order! They will probably both skate but I would at least like to see them sweat a little!
The only partying that I am going to see this New Year's Eve is what is on the TV before I fall asleep, in front of it, probably before midnight.
I hope all of your furnaces and stoves are working well during this "Global Freezing" that we are experiencing and that you have a great start to 2018!
Sounds like y'all are going to receive some really cold weather. It will be cold down here so we plan to stay in and maybe have a few people over for white chili and Texas Sheet Cake. Maybe a toast or two. I am going to whip up a few small quilts for the animal shelters but that is all we have planned for the day. Please stay warm and safe!
ReplyDeleteWell the smoke detector just woke us up, but found nothing in or out side for a reason, checked Battery and it is okay even if it was the battery we would have a chipping sound to let us know, maybe alarm went Poof. But I am up and will stay alert just in case.

Yup, I ordered two detector this morning, old one seems to be okay now, but I can't take a chance. I have 3 air purifiers and they all registered good air, and they are very sensitive, will change just percolation of coffee or peeling a orange.🍺

ReplyDeleteA little misc...another horrific cop shooting just outside Denver this morning. PD there is calling it an ambush. Upscale apartment complex just south of Denver metro and a few minutes from where my younger son lives. Definitely not ghetto.
ReplyDeleteAs to Wichita, I can't place much blame on cops in that deal. That prank call would have freaked anybody out. It can be found online in entirety and guy sounded like a wacked-out nut case. This type of call, too, is a relatively new phenomenon...as to that kid getting shot and killed, of course he freaked too and as clueless as police were. Guy they arrested had been convicted of making bomb threats at an ABC tv station in the LA area in 2015 so what the hell was he even doing out on the streets again anyway? But then he was from California so I guess I answered my own question, huh?
No doubt policing methods will adapt yet again...as far as I'm concerned, prank caller needs a murder charge for that.
