Many foreign countries, our allies included, have said they don't blame the American people for Donald Trump. But if he is re-elected in 2020, then they will feel that it is the American people's desire to have such an idiot in office. After the Bush/Cheney nightmare, Obama worked tirelessly to regain our place on the national stage. Trump destroys that every time he opens his mouth, and his sons just back it up. We have administration members writing op-eds how they are staying so he doesn't do something irreversible. We have admin members leaving, telling what it is really like to for someone who has no interest in learning, has no empathy for anyone, would throw his own wife under the bus if he hadn't paid her off so handsomely, and is dumber than your backyard stick. The ongoing 2 year nightmare is exhausting. I don't say this lightly, but God, help America.

ReplyDeletePerhaps this is an overly broad generalization, but I feel it is an almost universal observation that there is something intrinsically annoying about academia. The source of this annoyance is up for debate, but I believe it stems from the image academics project versus the reality of their motives and intent. Your average academic will say that some people find them distasteful because they are "so smart," and this makes others envious. I would say it's the opposite — the average academic is actually quite ignorant but brandishes a false image of being a genius. This is why I often refer to them as "academic idiots."
Fake intelligence and faux wisdom gnaw at people's nerves, and the average person is not as dumb as academics think they are.
At the top of the fraudulent academic totem pole are what I would call the "academic philosophers"; people who pontificate regularly on the meaning of life while living the most charmed lives one can imagine. These are people who in most cases come from upper class backgrounds. They have been provided for every waking moment of their existence. They have had every door opened for them by someone else on the path to success and have experienced little to no struggle or suffering in the whole of their time on this Earth. And yet, they somehow deem themselves expertly qualified to comment on the human condition....

If they want to live here, they need to adhere to the laws set in place.

I had plumbers scheduled for 10:30 this morning but they called and asked if they could start earlier. Oh hell yeah... Friggin basement drain has been a pain in the ass ever since we've lived here...

Kevin.... sorry to hear about your plumbing issues.... our house built 1920, has a floor drain.... it's a pain when it backs up. Trees.... next house we buy will not have trees in the yard.... their roots really mess with the pipes! Ours have been augured lots of times - tree roots the main issue.
I am in no rush when I am paying tax's, Good Grief
