Three Things Wednesday...

With all the insanity going on in the world today there's never a shortage of things to talk about.

There's things going on in this country every single day that range anywhere from absurd to blatantly stupid to downright dangerous.

I thought just for the fun of it I thought I'd throw out one example of each and see where it goes from there.

Absurd: Men's Cuddling Group.

With the left's never-ending attacks on men, manhood and masculinity the following story shouldn't surprise anyone.

https://www.breitbart.com/tech/2019/04/01/mens-cuddling-group-seeks-to-end-toxic-masculinity/

Members of the “Men’s Therapeutic Cuddle Group” in Pennsylvania are fighting “toxic masculinity” by cozying up with one another.

Holding a man “motorcycle style”:Two or three men can participate. One of the men, the “holder”, sits on a pillow on the floor with his back against a wall or sofa. The 2nd man; the one being held, sits in front of the holder facing forward so his back rests on the holder’s chest, his head on the shoulder. The holder will embrace the man around the chest and, in time, may be asked for additional forms of affection such as hand holding, hair or beard stroking, back rubbing, hand massages, etc. This holding style makes way for group cuddling which may include spooning, just lounging on each other or forming a “cuddle train”. Some guys may want to cuddle with a man who may carry the energy of their father, a brother, or the jock who may not have affirmed them in High School. Other men may choose NOT to cuddle someone who reminds them of, for instance, their abusive teacher, uncle or a childhood bully.

Sounds more like a giant, disgusting circle jerk to me.

But that's none of my business.

Blatant Stupidity: For several years now Democrat Hank Johnson held the record for the most blatantly stupid democrat member of congress when he suggested the island of Guam might capsize if we stationed more American troops there.

Sorry Hank, AOC has arrived and is more than happy to take your well deserved Stupid Mantel and run away with it like the insane person she truly is.

Of course we already know all about her $93 trillion boondoggle called the Green New Deal that every single insane democrat came out in support of it only to vote present when it came time to put up or shut up.

Oh, and that included AOC herself.

Never fear Hank, AOC's nowhere near to jumping off the Stupid Train.

A few days ago she claimed that republicans had to amend the constitution in order to keep FDR from being reelected.

She was talking about the 22nd amendment that passed in 1947 and signed into law in 1951.

The problem with her claim is that FDR died in 1945.

Don't worry Hank, with a record like yours I'm sure there's another Guam moment in your future.

And The Downright Dangerous: Evidently what's become of today's disgraceful democrat party feels comfortable enough with it's insanity they believe they have the right and even the duty to hold Fox News accountable for stories they didn't cover.

https://www.breitbart.com/the-media/2019/04/02/house-democrats-want-oversight-over-fox-news-editorial-decisions/

Democrats in the U.S. House of Representatives are demanding to know why Fox News did not publish a story prior to the 2016 election about an alleged affair years before between porn star Stormy Daniels and Donald Trump.
House Committee on Oversight and Reform chair Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-MD) wrote to former Fox News reporter Diana Falzone last month demanding that she turn over any documents relating to Trump’s alleged extramarital affairs.
An article in the New Yorker last month alleged that Fox News executive Ken LaCorte spiked the story to protect Trump — a claim LaCorte has vehemently denied, saying the story lacked corroborating evidence and that the network was merely practicing responsible journalism, as were other outlets who declined the story.
That article seems to have motivated Cummings’s letter — a letter that not only seeks personal dirt on the president, but seeks information that might be used to review Fox News’ editorial decisions. The committee’s letter suggests that Fox News may have violated campaign finance rules if it tried to help Trump by suppressing the Daniels story.
Falzone has said she will cooperate with the committee, despite an agreement with Fox that prevents her from speaking about the story. In an op-ed at Mediaite, LaCorte says he supports Falzone’s desire to talk about the story publicly, but that he will refuse to cooperate with the committee’s effort to exercise oversight over the free press.
LaCorte writes (original link):
Falzone’s lawyer announced that she would comply with the committee. I won’t.
If House Oversight can launch an investigation based on the ridiculous notion that publishing, or even more bizarrely not publishing, a story can be construed as an in-kind campaign contribution, then no journalist in America is safe from government intimidation. It’s a vast overreach of power, and I won’t have any part of it.
To be clear, I fully support Fox News lifting Falzone’s non-disclosure agreement so that she can make her case publicly, without leaks or lawyers. But neither editorial decisions nor joke writing should be a subject of government approval.
Read LaCorte’s full op-ed at Mediaite.

There you go, Blue.

This is what you and your imaginary friends have allowed you beloved democrat party to become.

And you think this is the kind of shit that's going to win the hearts and minds of the American people?

Good luck with that.

  11. Sarge, Kevin.... found something that might make you smile.... House Dems Fail and they know they have failed.... this is a biggie because it has to do with the budget. Now if only we can get them to admit failure on trying to take down President Trump!!!!

“After Stressing Need to Present a Budget, House Dems Fail to Get One Done. Dems say they were ‘elected to deliver,’ but fall short in major test” By Brent Scher April 3, 2019 11:10 am

After Democrats took control of the House with many candidates stressing the importance of passing a budget, party leadership has punted the idea of passing a budget due to internal divides over spending priorities and taxes.

It had become increasingly clear that House Democrats would be unable to agree on a budget blueprint that could pass a floor vote, with more liberal lawmakers demanding cuts to defense spending, an embrace of expensive liberal policies, and tax increases to pay for them. Leadership officially abandoned any prospect of getting a deal done on Monday, according to Bloomberg.

The failure is a blow to Democratic lawmakers in swing districts who bashed Republicans for failing to get a budget passed in recent years. Many of the freshman lawmakers, such as Rep. Cindy Axne (D., Iowa), cosponsored a bill that would raise the stakes for failing to come together on a budget.

"Our legislation says if lawmakers can't agree on a budget, lawmakers don't get paid," Axne said of her Shutdown to End All Shutdowns Act. "It's time to stop punishing everyday Iowans for Washington dysfunction."

Axne's legislation was introduced with Rep. Abby Finkenauer (D., Iowa), another freshman lawmaker in a toss up district. Both have also signed on to the No Budget, No Recess Act, which would block members from leaving town without passing a budget.

Finkenauer in her first week as a member said on Twitter, "Don't tell me what you value—show me your budget," a quote attributed to former Vice President Joe Biden.

Rep. T.J. Cox (D., Calif.), a freshman member in a vulnerable district, quoted the Biden line as recently as last month in a piece he wrote on the importance of budgets.

"As the old political cliché goes, show me your budget, and I'll show you your priorities," Cox wrote in the Fresno Bee. "This new Congress was elected to deliver. That means working across the aisle, and yes, it means negotiating."

Among the other members in vulnerable districts to cosponsor the Shutdown to End All Shutdowns Act are Reps. Josh Harder (D., Calif.), Gil Cisneros (D., Calif.), Debbie Mucarsel-Powell (D., Fla.), Elissa Slotkin (D., Mich.), Chris Pappas (D., N.H.), , Elissa Slotkin (D., Mich.), Angie Craig (D., Minn.), Jeff Van Drew (D., N.J.), Andy Kim (D., N.J.), Tom Malinowski (D., N.J.), Xochitl Torres Small (D., N.M.), Susie Lee (D., Nev.), Max Rose (D., N.Y.), Kendra Horn (D., Okla.), Colin Allred (D., Texas), Ben McAdams (D., Utah), and Abigail Spanberger (D., Va.).

Lee has called a failure to pass a budget "unacceptable." Brindisi has argued, "If members of Congress can't do their jobs and pass a budget, they shouldn't get paid."

House minority leader Kevin McCarthy slammed Democrats for their inability to present a budget.

"Nancy Pelosi has said for a long time, show me your budget and you'll show me your values," McCarthy said. "They are a new majority and they aren't going to do a budget."

  17. news flash.... President Trump is backing off of closing the border....

    https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2019/apr/4/trump-backs-border-closure-says-tariffs-instead/

Trump backs off border closure, says tariffs instead
By Stephen Dinan and Dave Boyer - The Washington Times - Thursday, April 4, 2019

President Trump backed off his immediate threat to close the U.S.-Mexico border, saying Thursday that he’s going to turn to tariffs instead.

The president said Mexico must step up on two fronts — it must immediately start blocking illegal immigrants coming from Central America and, over the next year, it must prove it is stopping the flow of drugs crossing the border.

“If Mexico doesn’t give the help, that’s OK. We’re going to tariff their cars coming into the United States,” Mr. Trump said.

“If in a year from now drugs continue to pour in, we’re going to put tariffs on,” he added.

Mr. Trump said he may still close the border if no other steps work, but his focus on tariffs as a more immediate option was striking.

He’d spent much of the previous week threatening a closure as a cudgel to use against both Mexico and Democrats on Capitol Hill, who have rejected his calls to change laws to stop the surge of illegal immigration.

Both allies and opponents of the president called the closure idea economic suicide, which could explain his shift in focus to tariffs.

“Mexico understands we’re going to close the border or I’m going to tariff their cars. The whole ballgame is cars. If they don’t do it, we’re going to tax the cars,” the president said.

“We’re going to give them a one-year warning,” he said.

  21. We seem to have people constantly trying to talk Trump out of doing things, like shutting down the boarder, even though, to me, his gut instinct has been spot on for most of the things he goes after. I guess that is all part of the game, but this constant shit by those in charge, that are forever putting off, kicking the can down the road has gotten this country into more trouble than not for years! They are supposed to be there to be decision makers and most of them couldn't decide if it was time to wipe their ass after they crapped!
