The depths this country has fallen into over the last 40 years is stunning...

I came across the following video on Facebook a couple of nights ago of an incident I remember well.

The year was 1976 (the year I graduated high school.)

Three very important things happened that day.

1) A professional athlete stood up for the America.

2) The fans in the stands that day cheered him on for doing so.

3) The media treated him like a rock star.

That was 43 years ago. It was before left-wing hatred of this country had gained any traction.

Fast forward to today and these are the people society and what passes as today's mainstream media hold up as rock stars.

This is exactly why I do what I do.

I refuse to sit down and shut up and allow a bunch of America-hating, communist bastards destroy everything I hold dear without putting up a fight.

And even though interest in this little Underground Bunker of ours has dropped like a rock in recent months, I'll still keep going.

With all that in mind and due to several factors including the obvious lack of interest, scheduling conflicts, and possible thunder storms, this year's Summit originally scheduled for this weekend has reluctantly been canceled.

Sarge and I have discussed getting together up at my son's place for some target practice.

And Rikki, Sarge and I have discussed the possibility of making things easier on everyone by getting together every few months at some local restaurant.

You guys kick it around and we'll go from there.

Oh, and Happy Mother's Day to all you mothers out there...

Kevin McGinty

  2. Well I also will be hear reading and trying to post some important info. As long as I am able to be around and all of the rest on here are willing to be around, I would say this will go on for a long long time. And knowing that there are younger ones coming along that think the same helps ease my mind a lot. I just wish all the young people around today would open their eyes and ears as to what is going on around them. Some of us are the teachers for the future.

  3. Truly disappointing news Kevin! I was looking forward to the time at the Summit. It is a difficult time of year to work a schedule that fits the needs and wants of everyone in a family. I understand the time we have is precious and needs to be devoted to family obligations and celebrations. Too bad though!
Happy Mother's Day to all of the lovely ladies who contribute to this blog and the ladies that are a part of our families! You deserve all of the honor we can give you, not only today, but everyday!

  13. I know having the summit at Kevin's house is a headache for him, but it seemed to be pretty successful last year. I couldn't commit to going to one in Jackson county because someone used my debit information to wipe my account out. The bank says I should get reimbursed - in June. Not much fun for me now as I tighten my belt.

But getting across town is a snap. And the idea of getting together at a restaurant could be a good one. Just make sure they don't throw us out when we stop eating.

"Trump approval at 51%, winning millennials, trusted more than Democrats on economy"
by Paul Bedard May 14, 2019 10:01 AM

President Trump has crossed the critical 50% approval line needed to win reelection as millennials and independents are moving to embrace him, according to a new survey.

The latest Zogby Poll put Trump’s approval rating at 51%, his highest ever in the trademarked survey.

Zogby Analytics pollster Jonathan Zogby said that the president is riding a booming economy and could be hard to beat should the nation’s economic health continue to improve.

  15. Well, we're back in Bakersfield after a long weekend in sunny Southern California for Mother's Day. First one we've gotten to celebrate with the family. Had a blast. Even talked politics with my son-in-law. Interesting. He's a lefty but makes a lot of money in meaningless work in entertainment so he isn't a commie, he does like the free market. But he finds our President to be vulgar and uncouth. Me too, but the difference is I don't care. Most of the time he's just trolling the left. And they're going mad because of it. Mission accomplished. My daughter hates our President so much she made us stop talking because we weren't trying to kill each other and we weren't yelling at each other, we were both hearing other points of view. It was actually enjoyable for me. If you get a chance to talk to a leftie who is still able to converse and listen as well as talk, try it. I learned some things and hopefully he did too.

But overall, the left is still in chaos. I think they are so deep in insane hatred of our President, and so dedicated to removing him from office and reversing the election by the American voters they don't care if they destroy the country in the process. And they are showing their ass to America. Voters are getting tired of them lying to their faces. I think the next election is going to be overwhelming. And I think it's going to force the dem/coms to rethink this whole communist takeover of their party. Maybe we'll see the party split. Dems who still love America can have their party and the dem/coms who hate America and what to destroy us can have theirs. Then we'll find how who is who.

AG Barr is about to open a can of whuppass on these commies and there is going to be hell to pay. This thing should peak out a few months before the election and will not be good for the dem/coms. Their dirty underwear is about to be seen by the world and it's bad. Really bad.

    1. Hi Safe, glad you had an awesome weekend with your family. Hoping your discussion with your daughter & son in law will help them come around to what the left is doing.

Oh, and yes, in my above post @ 9:12 this morning (i.e. 7:12 California time) I posted lots of links about AG Barr's tapping US Attorney John Durham.

I agree.... not a good time to be a Democrat.

Feds bust massive marriage immigration fraud
Migrants paid $70,000 for sham marriage to obtain green card

By Stephen Dinan - The Washington Times - Tuesday, May 14, 2019

Federal prosecutors announced Tuesday they’ve busted a massive full-service marriage fraud scam based in Houston that charged people up to $70,000 to arrange a sham wedding with a willing U.S. citizen in order to immigrate to the U.S.

A total of 50 people have already been arrested and dozens more are still on the lam, authorities said.

The payments not only produced willing “spouses,” but also bought the fraudsters fake wedding photo albums, false tax and property records and a full storyline meant to fool U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services into believing the marriage was real.

Customers included people in Vietnam looking to enter the U.S., and others already in the U.S. who wanted to gain permanent legal status.

The 65-page, 206-count indictment lists 47 couples identified as taking part in sham marriages — though many of the names are redacted because they have not yet been arrested.

The people running the operation hired drivers to make sure everyone got to their appointments, made sure the right documents were being filed on time with the immigration service, and set up the meetings to introduce the fake spouses, usually in Vietnam.

But the couples never actually lived together and never intended to do so, authorities say. They usually met only briefly — or in some cases, never.

“Marriage fraud is a serious crime,” said Tony Bryson, district director at USCIS, who said the operation showed the government has the ability to sniff out scams.

The indictment says the operation was based in Houston and operated throughout Texas and Vietnam.

People paid between $50,000 and $70,000 for a sham marriage, with the fees prorated based on whether they needed visas to enter the U.S. or were already here, and then whether they were seeking conditional residence or full lawful permanent resident status.

“These arrests mark the culmination of a comprehensive year-long multi-agency investigation into one of the largest alleged marriage fraud conspiracies ever documented in the Houston area,” said Mark Dawson, special agent in charge in Houston’s Homeland Security Investigations office.

  17. I have been advised by colleagues who still enjoy reading this blog for comic relief more than anything, that it appears several posters are trying to goad me into saying something. Frankly, I stopped visiting this site because the comments were redundant, and well.... boring. I do get a chuckle out of the sources cited - the Washington Times for one. I have told you people this is owned by the Moonie cult.

    The Examiner is free and available in news boxes all over. Funny, nobody ever seems to take any. Even when they're free. You can check something as basic as wikipedia and inform yourself of this rag, the Examiner - here's a quote;

" "MAGA list: 205 ‘historic results’ help Trump make case for 2020 re-election". The story listed numerous alleged accomplishments of the Trump administration with no fact checks. The list was given to the Examiner directly from the White House for publishing, and there was no reporting rebutting anything. Shortly afterward, President Trump tweeted the story twice.[23][24]

If these sources help create your worldview, then no wonder it's so distorted. We are in the 10th year of an economic recovery that began under Barack Obama. Trump's tax cut has benefited the rich, just like Brownback's did in Kansas. When I say rich, I mean VERY rich. I make good money, but even I had to pay taxes. A lot. But economist agree; Trump’s economic policies have had little to do with the state of the economy.

Now we have Natl Security Advisor Bolton, you know - the man who never saw a war he didn't want to get us involved in, nor did he ever see a war in which he wanted to personally participate. Yup, that republican draft dodging thing again. As Jake Thomas recently wrote quoting Bolton

“I confess I had no desire to die in a Southeast Asian rice paddy,” he said in 1995. “I considered the war in Vietnam already lost.” Now this pair of chickenhawks may well send other young men and women to their deaths in war. "

Right, Bolton wants to ship off 120,000 to the Middle East. Iran is in his cross hairs... what a man. Tough as nails. Perhaps if he actually had 'experienced' war, he just might have different feelings. And Trump at the helm ? God help us.

For those of you unaware, Trump is a well known drug abuser. His drug of choice ? Adderall. AKA Speed. Yes, many students might take a dose before final exams. That's not good. But it's not necessarily an indication of addiction. Trump shows all the signs of just that, and the list of individuals who have seen him abuse Adderall is as long as your arm. Symptoms include loss of memory, inability to focus.... and a lot more cognitive issues. Trump quite frankly, is one hot mess. He was recently exposed on screen admitting to a reporter that he had no idea what the 13 stripes on the flag were for. And foreign policy ?

Korea hasn't done a damn thing for him, we are now in a trade war with China, and YOU in the Midwest so dependent on commodities will take a hit. Mexico, why those rascals ! Not one PESO for the wall. As for polls, Zogby ? Look at a number of polls, not just one. And Zogby is not particularly well regarded. And just a little factoid you might want to know… Zogby is an AYYYYRAB ! < gasp > Nope, Trump has never done well in the polls.

  18. But I take comfort seeing the number of new candidates emerge on the Democratic side, oh... sorry, the Commie loving, soshulist, Nazi evil, baby killing Demoncrats.. ( there .. better ? ) . Consider Seth Moulton, Harvard grad, Marine vet... highly qualified. Oh, and even Buttigieg - Afghan vet, Harvard grad, Rhodes scholar. But wait, oh he's gay. Ah, man that knocks him out of contention for the Bible thumpers right ? Well, look at it this way - he sure as hell is an improvement over another republican, Aaron Schock who evidently must be thinking of a medical career. He was after all, performing a laryngoscopy (throat exam) on another man with his tongue !! How cools is that? And at the same time performing a testicular exam with his right hand down the same subject’s pants. Wow !

Yeah, the Democratic party is dying. Nope… more people self- identify Democrats. And the representation on the Hill looks younger all the time. And Kremlingate….. Well, now we know the Mueller has a LOT more to say than AG Barr let on. Funny how Kamala Harris ripped him to shreds and forced him to reveal he hadn't even read the report. Then he wrote a sort of Cliff's Notes version. And all the repubs screamed AMEN !

Not likely to see me here for a long time..... Unless you can get a more balanced crowd with perhaps more nuanced comments.

Article is from a while back. They want duel citizens in this case, to do what they do. Plot and steal technology from the rest of the world. We all know communism crushes innovation and provides no incentive to be innovative.

    1. Well since I've hit this blog today, I'll finish with this. I have no doubt that there are NO Chinese coming to Topeka for anything. The reason they come to the U.S. to deliver children, is just as the author pointed out: they want their children to have the possibility of a good life like other immigrants. And since the U.S. is one of the rare countries that bestows citizenship to individuals born here, they take advantage of it. More than anything, they want access to our universities. Unlike most red states, blue states nearly always offer top notch universities. California alone is mind blowing - Berkeley, Stanford, Davis, UCLA, UC San Diego, USC, Cal Tech. Stanford Med School is outstanding. Nixon realized long ago that the best way to pull China into the world order, was to convince them to open up. And they have. In return we did the same. If you haven't visited China, the last thing you would call it is Communist. Deng Xiaopeng sent tens of thousands of Chinese to American colleges just as soon as Mao croaked - he's now referred to as "Peasant under glass"... lying there in his glass sarcophagus. I've worked with a number of Chinese interns. They couldn't care less about communism. FYI, China is full of billionaires. China crushes innovation ? Really ? The number of scholarly papers they publish is beginning to rival the U.S. Their network of high speed trains is the biggest in the world. What, you think they ride bikes ? No, that was long ago. The bottom line is that a world that is interdependent is far less likely to go to war. George Marshall figured that one out. It's not that complicated. Now, go read that article again.

    2. You completely missed the point there second rate gov't doctor. And the point I was getting at worked well with another poster's piece.

      But,

If China is so innovative, why do they steal technology? Data?

Why did they do what they did to Cummins Itnl?
      Peugeot?

And since you brought it up, why is it then a communist(state owned means, prevents income inequality)country claims the most billionaires? Worst pollution, but hey not one dam Muslim around, eh?

China controls the internet for their citizens, and closely moitors and determines the appropriate media they are allowed to consume. Google was even gonna make them an extra special engine. Just for the chicoms. How nice.

I could go on and on...

      But Ian says it's nice.
