Go to hell, Nancy...

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) reacted to the successful U.S. airstrike on Iranian General Qassem Soleimani in Iraq on Thursday evening by complaining that Congress was not consulted in advance about it.
In a statement released by the Speaker’s office on Thursday evening, Pelosi demanded an immediate briefing:
American leaders’ highest priority is to protect American lives and interests.  But we cannot put the lives of American servicemembers, diplomats and others further at risk by engaging in provocative and disproportionate actions.  Tonight’s airstrike risks provoking further dangerous escalation of violence.  America – and the world – cannot afford to have tensions escalate to the point of no return.
The Administration has conducted tonight’s strikes in Iraq targeting high-level Iranian military officials and killing Iranian Quds Force Commander Qasem Soleimani without an Authorization for Use of Military Force (AUMF) against Iran.  Further, this action was taken without the consultation of the Congress.
The full Congress must be immediately briefed on this serious situation and on the next steps under consideration by the Administration, including the significant escalation of the deployment of additional troops to the region.
A spokesperson for Pelosi confirmed that she had not been notified in advance and only spoke to Secretary of Defense Mark Esper after the attack.
Speaker Pelosi spox says she spoke to Secretary of Defense Mark Esper after the Soleimani strike as no advance notification was given as statement indicated. Pelosi + Esper connected last night via text phone around 9:40pm. Call lasted 13 mins.

How about you go to hell, Nancy.
Maybe if you and your ilk had tried working with the president instead of spending every waking moment trying to destroy him you'd have been in the loop.
You chose the path we're currently on.
Deal with it...

  1. Why would the President tell anyone, but his most trusted advisors. It is obvious someone would have leaked it. If given enough warning the target would have escaped and Iran would have scored a PR coup. These anti-American apologists are yammering like a bunch of kids who didn't get their way. Reminds me of a quote from Spiro Agnew. He referred to the MSM as "Nattering nabobs of negativity.# I may have the quote wrong, but the gist of it is so true today. Anyone listening to these morons could get the impression the President is not popular or liked by the general public and will soon be kicked out of office by a Senate trial or the voters. He will be reelected by a bigger margin this time around. All these simpering anti-American's are accomplishing is his re-election and they give comfort and help to our enemies.

Yep, she's the same lying bitch that hit all the talk shows lying about Benghazi happening because of a video...

  6. It must be hard to be a democrat/communist these days. People who are democrats and go back to Harry Truman and JFK have to endure seeing their party taken over by the communist party USA and see their party devoted to the destruction of their country. This certainly accounts for the many people dropping the commie party and joining the Republican party.

When the Republican party went squishy under George Bush, and lost their bearings we brought them back. Remember the TEA party? It was formed to bring the Repubs back to their real roots. And we did it. It took a while, but we finally have the high moral ground. We have a President who truly is the champion of the working people.

But the democrat/communist party shows no sign of recovery. In fact, they are all following the script given them by the communist party. Everything they do is scripted by people who wish to destroy our country and replace the beacon for freedom for the world with their tyrannical ideology.

Having pee-loosey and chucky shumer as you spokespeople must be deeply embarrassing to the folks who don't subscribe to the commie ideology embraced by their party.

Look for a big win in 2020 for our President, and a return of the House to the Republican party, which should bring an end to the constant attack by the House. Maybe our President can get back to Making America Great Again instead of spending his time defending against lying rat bastard commies.

  7. And think about this. In Benghazi, when the terrorists attacked, (directed by the guy who Trump just killed) the Kenyan and crooked Hillary sat in the basement watching it on TV, ignoring the calls for help and told the military, which was geared up and ready to go, to stand down.

In Iraq, our President did what any real President would do. He sent in the Marines. And a handful of Marines ran those rat eating sub humans out of there in minutes. They ran like the cowards they are.

The same thing would have happened in Benghazi. There were troops ready to roll and could have had the same outcome, but for crooked Hillary holding them back to protect her weapons running operation, and a terrorist sympathizing muslim president who sided with the enemy.

And the next morning, the Kenyan muslim took off on our airplane to a fund raiser in Las Vegas after a good nights sleep without a thought to what he just did.

And the media and the commie rat bastards everywhere went to work promoting the lie crooked Hillary invented.

A handful of Seals and American patriots held off the terrorists for hours waiting in vail for help from their commander in chief.

FLASHBACK: Obama launches 2,800 strikes on Iraq, Syria without congressional approval
Nearly 3,000 strikes in Iraq and Syria to date

By Jacqueline Klimas - The Washington Times - Monday, April 27, 2015
U.S. forces have now surpassed 2,800 strikes against targets in Iraq and Syria under President Obama’s war against the Islamic State, all as part of a conflict Congress has yet to specifically authorize — and amid worries lawmakers won’t ever act.
Under intense pressure from Capitol Hill, Mr. Obama finally submitted a draft authorization for the use of military force against the Islamic State in February, but it’s since languished, caught in the stalemate between those who want tighter restrictions and those who want the president to have as free a hand as possible.
Now analysts worry that inaction will set a dangerous precedent and leave Congress shorn of its war making powers.

“I understand it’s unlikely that they’ll act, but it’s important for them to act,” Shoon Murray, an associate professor in the School of International Service at American University, said last week. “It does take away the war powers of Congress by Congress‘ own deference.”

The U.S. military has been conducting strikes in Iraq for 10 months, and began striking directly at targets in Syria last September as part of Mr. Obama’s announced campaign to degrade the capabilities of the Islamic State.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Part 2 of ??

This past weekend’s attacks brought the total to 1,458 strikes in Iraq and 1,343 in Syria by U.S. forces. Coalition forces allied with the U.S. have conducted another 655 attacks on Iraqi targets and 95 in Syria.

Mr. Obama has justified the attacks under his commander in chief powers and under the 2001 resolution authorizing force against al Qaeda, and the 2002 resolution authorizing the ouster of Saddam Hussein in Iraq.

Some lawmakers on Capitol Hill have said Mr. Obama is stretching those laws and that the strikes could be illegal — though they say they want to put them on firm footing by passing a new authorization.

But first Mr. Obama balked at sending up new war language and, when he finally did, the split on Capitol Hill became clear: The draft authorization was too aggressive for some, chiefly Democrats, who wanted tighter restrictions on ground troops. But it was too narrow for hawks, chiefly Republicans, who would prefer the president to retain all options.

“Obviously, it is not going anywhere,” Sen. John McCain, Arizona Republican and chair of the Senate Armed Services Committee, told Defense One last week. “The proposal was not enough for those on the left and way too much for those of us who believe that the Constitution says the president is the commander in chief.”

Sen. Bob Corker, Tennessee Republican and chair of the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations, which would consider the authorization, told reporters last week that he is starting discussions to look for a bipartisan path forward, but will not bring it up if partisan debates on the authorization could give the impression that lawmakers are divided on fighting the Islamic State.

  14. Part 3 of 3

Political analysts said the stalemate is bad for Congress, which is granted the power to declare war under the Constitution, while the president is granted the powers of commanding the armed forces.

“You have this structure of checks and balances in place. The problem is, it’s not being followed,” said Chris Edelson, assistant professor of government at American University. “The system depends on each institution asserting its power, and that’s not happening.”

The president, in his February draft, requested authority to use military force for three years, allowing the administration to strike the Islamic State anywhere in the world, though the use of ground forces outside of limited roles like advisers or search-and-rescue is prohibited.

Complicating matters is the 2001 authorization to use force against al Qaeda, which would remain in effect. Since the president has argued the current war is legal under that authorization, which has no endpoint, even the expiration of a new authorization against the Islamic State wouldn’t necessarily halt the war.

That leaves the administration free to pursue its war without having to get new permission from Congress.

Mr. Edelson said it wasn’t long ago that Congress did flex its war powers. When Obama wanted to strike Syria to stop the Assad regime in 2013, enough lawmakers publicly demanded first Mr. Obama seek their permission that he backed off his plans, creating space for Russian President Vladimir Putin to broker a deal.

“Congress has shown it is capable of asserting itself,” Mr. Edelson said.
For Mr. Obama, his unilateral stance is also an about-face from his time as a senator, when he argued Congress needed to keep the president from acting unilaterally in declaring war, Mr. Edelson said.

“The president does not have power under the Constitution to unilaterally authorize a military attack in a situation that does not involve stopping an actual or imminent threat to the nation,” Mr. Obama said during a 2007 interview with The Boston Globe.

“As president, unfortunately he doesn’t follow that approach,” Mr. Edelson said, noting that the president has conducted unilateral strikes in 2011 in Libya before his campaign against the Islamic State.

  15. 1. A sitting U.S. President should not be pressured to act in protecting Americans.... Obama was pressured to act..... President Trump, unlike Obama, acted with proper precision.

    2. The article talks of "inaction" in Congress. Folks, all Congressional members should be on the same side as President Trump hands down. Sadly, this is not so. There's Congressional members who have chosen the path of Obama and support Iran! This is traitorous, criminal, and worse than then being commie RAT bastards...

    3. the article also talks about how the Democrats balked at war with Iran - the Democrats wanted tighter restrictions on US Troops! The Democrats do NOT represent America nor do they want to protect Americans! They're loyalty is in bed with the Terrorists!!!

    4. Sadly, the Democrat Party is worse than corrupt, they are wolves in sheep's clothing wanting Americans eliminated.

No, I do not want war, no one does....but when push comes to shove....when evil stares us in the face, we must confront, fight with everything we've got, and vanquish evil and kick them all into the fiery blazes of hell itself!

  26. Observe the communist apparatus at work. Immediately following the drone strike that killed the terrorist leader, Ben Rhodes, formerly of the administration of the Kenyan born commie last president released the commie apparatus talking points to all the little apparachiks in the newsmedia and twitter world and Hollywood.

The bad orange man did an unauthorized strike on a foreign leader. Never mind that the Kenyan born former president did over 1,800 drone strikes, including on American citizens without authorization.

The bad orange man didn't seek congressional approval before striking. See point number one.

The bad orange man has enraged the Iranian people who will launch retribution on us.

The bad orange man has no plan to deal with the consequences of his actions.

These talking points were issued and have now been repeated hundreds of time virtually word for word.

This is the same commie rat bastard who issued the talking points to sell the horrible Iran nuke deal that the muslim Kenyan president. He later bragged about how easily he manipulated the media into repeating his lies to pass this gift to the mullahs of Iran.

This is how the commie apparatus works, and has for 60 plus years. The useful idiots, or apparachiks, which is what they are repeat assigned talking points to spread disinformation and foment dissent in America based on lies.

As I've said. We stop them now at the ballot box, or we turn into Venezuela.

  27. No good outcome here, I believe.

    1.
The vacuum will be filled by Iran and we have a major caliphate to contend with, doubling its oil reserves and control of some major waterways.
While their women are raped and oppressed, people starve, nuclear weapons developed, terrorist circles strengthened and a relationship furthered with chicoms and ruskies....

    Or

    2.

MyWe get involved, lose an election, waste money on an area that cares not for me nor me for it. Hundreds of not thousands of my brothers and sons would be at risk, all for sand half way around the world. Mandating a regime change, that we don't need to be involved with. Furthering a risk of conflict with the chicoms and ruskies.

It's time we developed a more selfish attitude, and focus on us. America came about because of pioneers and bold men who wished to establish something different from the rest of the world's bullshit. I'd like to see us get back to that.
    Honestly.

  29. I am really in somewhat of a quandary about all of this business in Iraq. I fully support President Trump taking this murdering bastard out. Personally, I wouldn't give a rats ass if we just left Iraq and let them fiend for themselves. We have been there long enough! They don't want us there and that is fine with me. But then, I never want to be where I am not wanted!
We all know though, what will happen when and if we leave. It will be just another take-over by either Iran, Russia, or God only knows who else. A power grab with no intent to actually help the people of Iraq and stabilize the government. But I think Hammer is right. We need to focus on America, make sure we continue to Make America Greater and clean up our own house. Be prepared for whatever Iran or whoever tries to throw at us, including the clueless bastards that are here in our own country. I don't want Trump being talked into shit he doesn't want to happen and we as a country don't need to happen just because some "expert" thinks that is the right course of action! I'm sick and tired of some in our government wanting to give away the whole farm while others don't seem to be happy unless we are engaged in an all-out conflict with the current bad-asses of the moment!

    2. Iran can never run a caliphate. That’s a Sunni concept and they’ll never let Shii’a claim it. A Shiite Crescent is bad enough, though.

The President won’t start a war. He knows that would kill his re-election chances. So we will continue to shadow box Iran. Perhaps with Israel and Saudi, but start preparing yourselves now for dealing with such as al-Qaeda or some other iteration of something like ISIS.
