A little something to make your blood boil...

Nancy Pelosi: ‘Truth’ Is That Trump Worsened the Coronavirus, Destroyed Economy

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), in a letter penned to Democrat colleagues on Tuesday, emphasized the need to recognize the “truth” regarding the coronavirus pandemic, listing off a series of partisan talking points which accuse President Trump of worsening the virus by ignoring warnings, dismantling infrastructure, and referring to the virus as a “hoax” — a false narrative that has been thoroughly debunked.
The “incompetent reaction to this health crisis” led to the destruction of the “strong economy” handed to Trump, Pelosi asserted, blaming him for “unnecessary deaths and economic disaster.”
Pelosi told her colleagues in the letter that Easter Weekend provided her with time for “deeper prayer and reflection.” As such, she believes it is time for Democrats to acknowledge a series of truths surrounding the coronavirus.
“We will overcome this moment, but success requires one fundamental from which all actions will follow: we need the truth. To succeed in this crisis, we must insist on the truth, and we must act upon it,” she exclaimed.
“In order to move forward, we must first understand the truth of what has put us in this position,” she continued, listing six key points that she believes must be thoroughly acknowledged in order to move forward.
Overall, Pelosi blames the president for causing “unnecessary deaths and economic disaster” and ultimately bungling the “strong economy” supposedly handed to him in 2017:
  • The truth is that Donald Trump dismantled the infrastructure handed to him which was meant to plan for and overcome a pandemic, resulting in unnecessary deaths and economic disaster.
  • The truth is that in January Donald Trump was warned about this pandemic, ignored those warnings, took insufficient action and caused unnecessary death and disaster.
  • The truth is that Donald Trump told his most loyal followers that the pandemic was a hoax and that it would magically disappear, thus endangering lives and paving the way for economic disaster.
  • The truth is that we did not have proper testing available in March despite Trump repeatedly claiming that we did; and even now, we do not have adequate tests, masks, PPE, and necessary equipment, which creates unnecessary death and suffering.
  • The truth is because of an incompetent reaction to this health crisis, the strong economy handed to Donald Trump is now a disaster, causing the suffering of countless Americans and endangering lives.
  • The truth is a weak person, a poor leader, takes no responsibility.  A weak person blames others.
“The truth is, from this moment on, Americans must ignore lies and start to listen to scientists and other respected professionals in order to protect ourselves and our loved ones,” she continued, in what some view as a slight to the administration’s coronavirus task force.
“But if we are not working from the truth, more lives will be lost, economic hardship and suffering will be extended unnecessarily and our children will not be safe, happy and learning,” Pelosi continued.
“Our future will be healthy and prosperous if we no longer tolerate lies and deceit,” she added.
This is not the first time the speaker has taken a starkly partisan approach to the crisis. Pelosi famously attempted to hijack the economic relief passed last month, filling it with a host of progressive agenda items, to no avail.
Meanwhile, Trump and the GOP are widely focusing on reopening the economy, as the demands for such intensify across the nation.
“The day will be very close. … It’s going to be very, very close, maybe even before the date of May 1st,” Trump said on Tuesday.

  6. I am surprised she didn't mention PTrump does not believe in science. If you watch any dem speak, they always throw the "does not believe in scince" comment into their bag of lies. They are so weak. I cannot wait for the implosion.

Texans are going back to work. We have had enough of this bull. As a side note, I have been staying home, and my husband has been working from home. He travels a lot with his job but most of his clients have closed shop. He sales to large municipalities and universities and his travel has come to a standstill. This crazy virus scam hasn't hurt us financially, YET. He had a number of deals in the pipeline so we are doing okay. BUT, if the cities are shut down and the colleges are closed for a few more months it could have a direct impact. All major tradeshows, training facilities and trade conferences have been cancelled and that puts a strain on the hotel industry and the parking industry just to name a few. This virus crap has impacted so many in so many different ways. The weird thing is I have a friend who is an RN. She told me she and number of other employees have been layed off. She works at a major hospital here in town. She said the halls are EMPTY! There was not enough work to keep the staff busy because the patient load has dropped to levels she has never seen in her lifetime. She has been an RN for 20 years. Something strange is going on. She said she has never been layed off nor has her workload been so light. Again, we are talking about a huge major hospital. Her husband is a doctor and he is making house calls here in the hood because people are afraid to go to his office. He still needs to pay for his office/clinic so making house calls help to pay the bills. Apparently the house calls has kept him pretty busy which is good news. Total weirdness.

The fact that 4Patriots food has a 25-year shelf life gives me further peace of mind because if it’s not needed during this crisis, it can be stored for the next. 26. Well, we're seeing the freedom protests start. This is just the tip of the iceberg. Petty government officials pronouncing mandates on us like they had some authority to do so. Taking advantage of this crisis to do things Americans would never let the do before. This will not stand. America is reaching it's limit.

A little history to consider. When the Revolutionary War was fomenting, the country broke down about like this. One third of the several states wanted war, and revolution to break free from a tyrannical king. One third were loyal to the king, and resisted and even supported the king, against their fellow colonists. One third just wanted to be left along to farm, fish and live their lives. They wanted to just leave things as they were if they didn't get much worse.

What happened? We went to war. We threw off the shackles. Americans have freedom in their DNA. It's in our very souls. And it swells and grows and takes over, this base instinct for freedom. And it wins against any force that tries to stand against it. And it will again.

This situation is the democrat/commie dream. Make beggars of us, we're easier to control. Depend on the government for everything. This is how Socialism creeps in, followed by communism. Study your history.

We either stop this now, or we live with the repercussions for decades.

We either stop them at the ballot box or we will have to shoot our way out eventually.

    ReplyDelete
  27. The commie left has long pushed for condensed urban living as opposed to rural living, mass transportation (subways) and reusable plastic bags. All of which have been major contributors to the spread of this virus.

  35. After reading your piece on Pelosi, Kevin, I was reminded of a story someone had put on Twitter about Pelosi being interviewed on one of the late night shows, over the internet, while at home. The same time she has been holding up the funding for the small business loans, she is sitting out the virus in her mansion, rather than seeing that the House is getting back to work to help the real workers and producers of this country! The late night guy, which I can't think of his name and don't care, was asking her how she was dealing with the stay at home situation. Her answer was that she was stocking her refrigerator! Apparently she has 2 large frigs in her kitchen reportedly worth like $24000. One she stocks with mainly ice cream and chocolate. Here, we are in a time when some people are desperately waiting for help to get food for their families and she is on television bragging about all of the stuff that she has stored to feed her face! Some of the ice cream goes for about $13 a quart. At the same time she is holding up funding for people who just want to stay afloat! What a stupid, uncaring, Bitch!

    ReplyDelete
  55. Troll, here's the timeline of how President Trump has handled the corona virus:

I posted this the other day, you must be senile....you forgot the facts already, so I'll post it again for you.

from the 1600 Daily The White House • April 13, 2020
    The media can’t rewrite history

Last month, most Americans surveyed by Gallup approved of President Trump’s Coronavirus response. Hospitals, state governments, and Federal agencies all earned positive reviews, too. The only institution that most people didn’t trust? The news media.

Many in the media got the story wrong from the start. They insisted the virus posed no real threat to Americans. They joined Democrats and the World Health Organization in attacking President Trump’s early China travel restrictions as unnecessary, even “xenophobic.” They parroted Chinese government propaganda to make their case.

Responsible journalists and politicians would own up to these failures and vow to fix them. Instead, irresponsible ones are attempting to rewrite history.

While they downplayed the virus and its risks, President Trump took action. Here’s just a sample of what his Administration has done over the past 3 months:
On January 29, the President assembled his Coronavirus Task Force. Two days later, he declared a Public Health Emergency and restricted travel from China.

On February 4, President Trump vowed to protect Americans in his State of the Union Address and issued Emergency Use Authorization for Medical Devices. On February 24, he requested $2.5 billion from Congress to combat the virus’ spread.

On March 6, the President signed Coronavirus preparedness funding into law. Between March 11 and March 18, he restricted travel from Europe, declared a National Emergency, issued aggressive national Coronavirus Guidelines, and signed the Family First Response Act. By the end of March, he’d sign a historic $2.2 trillion economic relief package negotiated by the Administration into law.

By April 9, more than 2 million Americans had been tested for Coronavirus—by far the most testing of any country on Earth. The same day, Vice President Mike Pence announced that the Paycheck Protection Program had already approved more than $125 billion in forgivable loans in fewer than 5 full days of operation.

When pundits are wrong, their instinct is to divide Americans, not unite them. Real leaders, Democrat or Republican, don’t do this: They work together to get things done. This morning, Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D-NY) highlighted his working relationship with President Trump, who he praised for delivering on his promise to help New York.

“If you do the right thing by New York, I’ll say it,” Gov. Cuomo said.

“He has delivered for New York.”

RealClearPolitics: The media just “can’t help themselves.”

An intern working in WIV, contaminated herself while working with insufficient PPE. Went home to her boyfriend. Infected him.

Later that week, he went to the wet market for some puppy. Also got some shrimp.

Infected the shrimp vendor, who was actually patient zero(she got sick before intern or boyfriend). Infected 24 others in the market by a public latrine.

    That's how it started.

All screencapped and archived from Chinese internet. Well, before they took it all down because that's what commies do.

But alot of us and the intelligence community already know.

It's very simple, if you can navigate the www....

Or if you navigate it in the "dark". It's easy and safe if you know what you are doing. And the only place to get the pure facts to make your own judgements.

It stems from South Africa and policies of the past. WHO won't allow for populations to be partially Quarantined. Because it marginalized the sick in the past.

So essentially healthy people will pay the price, for "feelings".

    All pure fact.

To give you perspective, this concept goes back further than agenda 21.

How far down the rabbit-hole you want to go?

    ReplyDelete
  78. Not to slight you Hammer, as I believe you know more about this than me but it should be painfully obvious to anyone what the answer is. Except for Anon.

  80. You aren't slighting me, Tom.

For me, I have an insatiable desire for knowledge in certain areas I don't comprehend. We all have the ability to go get it. But for me, the desire is almost self consuming.

How bad do you want it?

For me, I have worried about being compromised as essential. Worried about my family. I do not trust 90% of American sourcing. I have been working in and around some of the most dangerous places for this thing, without going into much detail, for three months. I worried about this in January, and how it was going to go down and shake out.

So to be better prepared, and to protect my family, I had to seek the truth.

I've had to learn to be quick with Google translate Korean, Chinese, Japanese, etc...

In the process I've learned how CCP/PRC internet works, the importance of screencapping and archiving, and how slow the MSM is because of agenda.

My point is that only my desire separates me from the next guy. Anyone can see these things, and I wish more would.

But nobody knows more than me, that you will require a stomach and stamina like you have never had to retrieve what you desire.

That's the way "they" have designed it.

    And guys like Anon?
The most ignorant and dangerous know-it-alls you have ever seen.

  84. Hammer, out here they are killing the crappie in the lake. They have been biting for a couple of weeks. They pull them out as fast as they can. I haven't been out because I don't have a boat, and the spots from shore are too crowded for my taste. I'm just working the trout bite, which is picking up.

Our weather has been fishable pretty much all month, except for a few rainy days which brought our drought to an official end and added a couple feet of snow to the mountains which will soon make the Kern run and lake fill up. All good. God managing the weather. And no Obama, the drought was not "global warming". It was the weather, compounded by the godamn commie left letting all the water run to the ocean instead of replenishing the water table like God designed it. All for the sake of some useless minnow.

  86. Well, we live in a mountain valley, surrounded by 5K+ peaks with two roads in and out that are both pretty rough drives. It's an hour drive to the nearest big city. We have a couple grocery stores, with some smaller stores. No Walmart, Costco, Target, Home Depot or Lowes. The only reason people come here is to fish, camp and raft the might Kern in the summer. So we don't have a single documented case. Nobody I know up here knows anybody that has it. Our hospital is small but prepared, so far they have zero patients with the virus.

So I feel pretty safe up here so far. I have more to fear from the California government than I do from the Chinese virus.

Lawmakers announce bill to let Americans sue China over coronavirus damages

By Stephen Dinan - The Washington Times - Updated: 5:50 p.m. on Friday, April 17, 2020
Americans who were duped by Chinese misinformation over the coronavirus crisis could sue the Chinese government in U.S. courts under new legislation introduced in Congress on Friday.

Rep. Chris Smith, New Jersey Republican, said the bill strips China and any other country that misleads the World Health Organization of sovereign immunity, giving Americans the ability to pursue Beijing in court.

“Knowing full well that they had a deadly, and highly contagious disease on their hands, as late as mid-January China’s communist leaders told the WHO that there was no need for any precautions, as everything was under control. Fact is, it wasn’t,” said Mr. Smith, who announced the bill along with Rep. Ron Wright, Texas Republican.

The legislation is similar to the Justice Against Sponsors of Terrorism Act (JASTA), which gave families of victims of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist hijackings the ability to pursue cases against Saudi Arabia for what those families believe to be the Saudi government’s role in facilitating the attacks.
The novel coronavirus first spread in China, though leaders from a number of countries have questioned the information the communist government in Beijing provided about its origins, its spread and its deadliness.

President Trump has perhaps been the most vociferous of those world leaders, and this week announced he was withholding U.S. funds from the WHO because he believes officials at that organization have accepted China’s story too readily.
The WHO has said the middle of fighting the COVID-19 pandemic is no time to spar over blame.

But Mr. Wright said China’s “manipulation” of data has cost lives around the world.

“Time and time again, we have seen actors such as Communist China use the World Health Organization (WHO) as a mouthpiece to spread lies and misinformation to the international community, and they need to be held accountable,” he said in a statement.

Mr. Smith has long been a top critic of China and a backer of human rights advocates in that country and said stripping the country of sovereign immunity in this case fits with that work.

Sen. Tom Cotton, Arkansas Republican, and Rep. Dan Crenshaw, Texas Republican, have similar legislation, announced earlier this week. Their bill would declare that giving misleading information about the spread of the virus is a tortious act — but it says if China agrees to settle claims with the U.S., the private lawsuits could be dismissed.

The lawmakers didn’t say what they believe the prospects for the legislation are.

JASTA, the bill that allowed lawsuits against Saudi Arabia, took years to get passed, and only became law after Congress mustered the votes to override a veto by President Obama in 2016.

The truth about America's response to COVID-19
America's leadership still matters and its robust response to the pandemic has saved lives
    By Corey R. Lewandowski - - Friday, April 17, 2020

    ANALYSIS/OPINION:
The mainstream media just doesn’t get it.
Instead of praising the work done by FEMA, the Army Corps of Engineers and health workers on the frontlines of the pandemic across the nation, they criticize Donald Trump. Instead of reporting on how the American people’s compliance with distancing guidelines dramatically “flattened the curve” and saved lives, they play Monday morning quarterback without an actual playbook.
It’s really easy to be critical when you’re unaccountable, like a journalist.

The ability to make decisions in times of uncertainty is a skill very few people have. Great quarterbacks know it, fighter pilots live by it — but overall, it’s not something most normal people, particularly reporters, specialize in.

But for presidents, this is part of the job. The COVID-19 outbreak threw the United States into one of the greatest periods of uncertainty in the modern era. False certainty, actually, might be a better description, as we now know the World Health Organization was far too trusting of China’s lies. But for the sake of all who’ve mobilized in the fight against this “invisible enemy,” let’s look at the timeline to see who was treating this pandemic, in uncertain times, as a threat.

January 6: The CDC issued a travel notice for Wuhan, China — the center of the outbreak.

January 29: The president formed the Coronavirus Task Force in response to just a handful of cases in the United States. This was less than one month after China first reported a new respiratory virus to the World Health Organization, which at this point, the United States had no reason to mistrust.

January 31: President Trump declared COVID-19 a public health emergency and announced travel restrictions on China. Joe Biden referred to the president’s actions in a slurred speech as “hysterical xenophobia.”

February 6: The CDC began to ship test kits to U.S. and international laboratories.

    ReplyDelete
  121. Part 2 of 2:

February 24: The administration requested $2.5 billion to combat the virus’ spread. At the same time, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was wandering around San Francisco’s Chinatown, intentionally not social distancing and advising her constituents to “[c]ome [to Chinatown] because precautions have been taken.”
In all fairness, the opinion of America’s leading health experts was similiar. On February 29, Dr. Anthony Fauci told ABC News that “[t]here is no need to change anything you’re doing on a day by day basis. Right now, the risk is still low.”

Regardless, throughout March, the administration continued to take action.
March 6: The president signed an $8.3 billion bill to fight the outbreak.

March 10: The president and vice president met with top health insurance companies and secured a commitment to waive co-pays for COVID-19 testing.

March 11: President Trump announced travel restrictions on foreigners who had visited Europe.

March 13: The president declared a national emergency to access more than $42 billion in existing funding to combat COVID-19.

March 16: The president announced the “15 Days to Slow the Spread” COVID-19 guidance.

March 23: President Trump signed an executive order invoking the Defense Production Act to prohibit hoarding of vital medical supplies.

March 27: President Trump signed the CARES Act into law; The USNS Mercy arrived in L.A.

March 31: President Trump officially announced “30 Days to Slow the Spread;” FDA approved a two-minute coronavirus antibody test.

The work continues through April — not only for public health, but also for the economic well-being of all Americans.

April 3: President Trump announced new voluntary guidelines that all Americans wear non-medical, fabric or cloth face masks; SBA launched the Paycheck Protection Program.

April 12: President Trump announced a deal he brokered between OPEC, Russia and the United States to stabilize the oil market.

April 13: President Trump announced that 80 million Americans will receive direct payments from the CARES Act within days; more than $200 billion in PPP loans were processed; United States had conducted nearly 3 million tests; 28 million doses of hydroxychloroquine were deployed across the country.

Every health recommendation made, the president took — and even when the general risk to the American public was seen as low, the Trump administration took action to prepare for what would become a major outbreak.

All of America is in this together — and together, all of America will defeat the virus. But when COVID-19 is over, we must not forget the lessons learned:
    • Our trust of China, and support of global organizations who blindly trust the country, should be re-examined.

    • America should have the domestic manufacturing capacity to produce medical equipment and medications independently of China.

    • The press’ responsibility is not to tear down the institutions helping to repair the nation, but to inform the people of their rights and responsibilities.

In times of global crisis, American leadership still matters — but the only way to guarantee the strength of that leadership and lead the world to recovery is for our leaders to always put America First.

    ReplyDelete
  122. The mainstream media has failed the American people horribly through all of this, they're too far left when they should be neutral in their reporting. The mark of a good journalist is to be neutral - not to show favor to one side nor the other. Basically the media has about 5% to 10% news and the rest is 100% Liberal speculation and opinion.

  125. TOPEKA, KANSAS, April 17, 2020 – In response to Kansas Gov. Kelly’s Executive Order 20-18 (restrictions on religious organizations) and her newest Executive Order 20-24 (extension of her power past legislative approval) – Convention of States Action is stepping in to help publicize a protest being organized in Topeka for Thursday, April 23rd at noon.

A purely organic grassroots movement of citizens across the state of Kansas is making plans to converge on Topeka and demand that the overbroad and unconstitutional statewide restrictions be lifted immediately. In light of President Trump’s three-stage plan for reopening the states, the flattening of the infection curve in Kansas’ infected areas, and the fact that nearly a third of the state has not reported a single case of COVID-19, the governor’s restrictions are simply too intrusive.

Business owners, laid-off workers, and clergy from around the state plan to drive to Topeka for a rally that will likely be similar to that held in Michigan earlier this week. Organizers are asking everyone to remain in their vehicles and practice appropriate social distancing. Marion resident David P. Schneider, who serves as a Regional Director for Convention of States Action, plans to attend the rally as a private citizen and support the overall effort.

Schneider said, “Governor Kelly has gone too far. The whole goal was to flatten the curve to protect our health care facilities. Now hospitals are laying off workers due to lack of patients. The governor is playing games with Kansans’ livelihoods in the interest of gaining political advantage over the legislature. She’s holding Kansas’ economy hostage until the legislature caves to her desire to expand Medicare for all.”

Mark Meckler, Co-Founder and President of Convention of States Action, issued the following statement in response to Kansas Governor Laura Kelly’s Executive Order No. 20-18.

“Governor Kelly’s latest order is a direct assault on the God-given right of freedom of religion, which is enshrined in both the Kansas and United States Constitutions. While social distancing is important, the Governor does not have the authority to interfere with the fundamental right of people to worship their Creator.”

Convention of States Action is a nationwide grassroots movement with over 4 million volunteers and supporters organized in all 50 states. The organization recently launched OpenTheStates.com to help citizens find information about local groups that are pushing back against government overreach. Convention of States Action reminds all attendees at the Topeka rally to abide by constitutional restraints on their activities and to observe the CDC guidelines for reducing the spread of Coronavirus (cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prevent-getting-sick/prevention.html).
