Nikki Haley: The Time For Talking is Over...

Alright guys, you all know I have reservations about this Syria crap.

But...

There's always a "But," isn't there?

You can say what you want about UN Ambassador Nikki Haley but you can't say she doesn't have nerves of steel and she does not stutter.

She stands up to the world.

She's loyal to her country, her president, and her friends.

Nikki Haley to Russia on Future Gas Attacks in Syria: ‘The United States Is Locked and Loaded’

y PENNY STARR14 Apr 20184,396

Nikki Haley, the United States Ambassador to the United Nations, said Saturday at the second emergency meeting in as many days that the overnight strike against Syrian infrastructure was justified “to deter the use of chemical weapons.”

Haley gave Russia a stern warning about the Syrian regime’s future use of chemical weapons, a warning she said came directly from President Donald Trump.
“I spoke to the president this morning, and he said if the Syrian regime uses poisonous gas again, the United States is locked and loaded,” Haley said.
Saturday’s meeting, like the one that took place on Friday just hours ahead of the strike that took out a research facility, storage bunkers, and other infrastructure that supports Syria’s chemical weapons program, was requested by Russia.
Russian President Vladimir Putin called the strike illegal and “an act of aggression on a sovereign state.”
Russian diplomat Vassily Nebenzia was the first to speak at the meeting at the U.N.’s headquarters in New York City and deemed the strike “hooliganism.” He also called for attacks on Syria to cease.
“The whole world is looking at you,” Nebenzia said. “Take a principled step.”
But Haley did not back down from the claims she made on Friday and repeated on Saturday–that the evidence was clear that Bashar al-Assad’s regime was responsible for ongoing chemical weapons attacks, including the latest on April 7 that reportedly killed dozens of Syrian civilians.
“The time for talking ended last night,” Haley said, noting that the strike, which was a joint effort of the U.S., France, and the U.K., was strictly done “to deter the future use of chemical weapons by holding the Syrian regime responsible for its atrocities against humanity.”
Haley’s U.K. counterpart, Julian Braithwaite, said the strike was “limited, targeted, and successful”–and justified.
“The Syrian regime and its supporters are responsible for the gravest violations of international humanitarian law in modern history,” Braithwaite said.
Francois Delattre, the permanent representative of France to the U.N., said the evidence of Syria’s use of chemical weapons against its own people was clear and that the United Nations’ mission should be to hold war criminals accountable.
“The U.N. charter was not designed to protect criminals,” Delattre said.

A perfectly executed strike last night. Thank you to France and the United Kingdom for their wisdom and the power of their fine Military. Could not have had a better result. Mission Accomplished!

Haley said a Russian disinformation campaign was in “full force” but that efforts to change the subject would not succeed.
“The pictures of dead children were not fake news,” Haley said.
And she warned that Syria and its allies, which include Iran, should not be “foolish enough to test our will.”
“With yesterday’s military action, our message was crystal clear,” Haley said. “The United States of America will not allow the Assad regime to continue to use chemical weapons.”
International law banned chemical weapons in 1925.

  5. I'm gonna go in a little different direction.

Back to my question from last night.
Why do we give any money to the UN?

Now, Haley does an excellent job explaining to the council why we do what we do. Why we did what we did. But you can't sit here and tell me France or the UK really did anything other than ride our coattails. America stomped a mud hole on Syrian targets last night. Hopefully all the targets were exactly what they were, because craters exist where buildings and such stood. I'm all about doing something right.

But dam, guys and gals. We give an awful lot of money to the UN for such reasons. And all we see is vetoes that stop any strategic military action. And a council that judges our country when it comes to human based climate change and our 2nd amendment.

Ever since the announced(21+ days that allowed for stockpile movements beforehand) inspections in Iraq when Saddam was around, I have had my reservations about the legitimacy of the UN. They are too cucked and weak to be strong enough force to be an enforcer, the whole point of having the council. It's our resources that make any difference or impact. That's where my issue is.

I know several men that served overseas and their experiences around ISAF and blue hats. It's Americans(the Brits, South Africans, and Aussies can fight. So no offense to them) that do the work, and take the heat as the world's "policeman".

So if it's right to do something, I'd rather us just do it and keep our money. If we have to fight, let's do it ourselves and not provide the bodies and resources and be told how to do it. Having a coalition or a council just seems to make for good optics.

War is a nasty hell. You don't win fights by talking at some council. And to win a fight, a country must do things that would never make for good optics.

Anyways, there's my pathetic long winded little take.

Been a long week. Gonna play some scrabble now, and have some New Belgium Citradelic cold ones. 🍻 Ya'll stay warm and dry.

    Peace and chicken grease...

  6. Been wanting to try that citradelic. Like all of their stuff. I’m having a Firestone Walker Union Jack.

Been painting a new bed frame I built all night. Looks good. The wife runs this show. I’m just labor here. And non-union at that!

Now excuse me, I have a cold beer calling my name.

  7. Sounds like Hammer and Safe have the right idea! Beers all around! Those who still partake anyway. Those who don't, for what ever reason, power to you!
I like Nikki Halley! She doesn't seem to take any crap off of anybody. I did question, when she was governor, why she decided to remove the confederate flag from the state capitol, when all of those whiney-ass "racist" who call everyone else a "racist" when they don't agree with them, threw there little fits....but I know, for a politician, that seems to be the easy way out, because the ones who know it is stupid, will not put up a big fight about it and the snowflakes will cry and whine and stomp their feet until they get their way.
She looks like she could certainly be a contender, when President Trump's term is up in 2024. You guys are absolutely right though, how will the "women's movement" decide that she does not quite meet the definition of a "woman" in their world? I can only imagine, and can only wait to hear the stories they try to promote. Wasn't there already one that came out about her and Trump were working "too close", hinting at a affair? Sounds like something James Comey would write in a new book he might be writing! But whatever! Right? That book sounds like a story that will take it's own blog to discuss all of the BS that he is pushing! What an Ass!

  8. Good Morning

Getting caught back up on current news events.

To the idiots in Congress who condemn President Trump's decision to fire missiles at targeted areas of Syria.... you need to be booted out of Congress!

The UN Security Council rejected Russia's resolution to condemn the United States. Kudos for the UN Security Council - they're backing President Trump and the allies who sent a strong message to Assad.

And if Nikki Haley decides to run for President in 2020 after President Trump's 2nd term is completed - she's got my vote because how she has carried herself in her present position speaks for itself.

Nikki Haley is 150% more worthy of being the first woman president than Hillary Clinton -

I am in agreement with all of the comments posted here.

Getting ready for my 2nd mugs worth o' caffeine and I raise my mug to y'all.

  11. Just now watching "Sleepy-eyed" Chuck Todd on Meet the Press, now :suggesting" Michael Cohn went secretly traveling to Prague, maybe Mueller has everything he needs, the innuendo maybe the Dossier is right about some of this...blah,blah,blah...Also talked to the Ex CIA A-hole, John Brehanan, with also the innuendo that Mueller "must have something". It just goes on and on, but I feel I have to watch some of this crap just so I know what the latest "talking points" are from the Left and how they are trying to spin it. Meet the Press is another iconic media source that has totally gone in the tank with the Left's agenda.

  12. Lol... The desperation just keeps coming.

So many times they've been promised they had him this time.

    So close.

Smoking gun right around the corner.

And without exception they've been disappointed.

Keep chasing that dream, you fools.

All you're doing is making yourselves miserable...

  13. He is nothing but a political puppet and someone pulling the strings - maybe that's why Hillary Clinton chose him for her running mate because he was easy to control and manipulate. I believe that he was also part of why she lost - but the main reason Hilary lost is because of her own major faults.

Makes me all the more glad that we have a President who is committed to Americans instead of Hillary who would have been committed to harboring and encouraging illegal immigration and selling American down the river.

Interesting article to read. I might have to find this book.

Another of a vast assortment of links.

And in case people wondered I left the breitbart link out, and used the WSJ link first. Since we get "educated" by a poster from DC I certainly didn't want to give biased info, ya know. Since the WSJ ranks up there with one of the "best" papers....

It's off topic and many may already know of this. But after speaking to a friend of mine this morning, we concluded that this may be the very stuff that prevents Biden from challenging in 2020. Awful damning for McConnell too. Needs to be pushed more on socials like Twitter and such.

He begs so cute and those puppy dog brown eyes and crocidile tears of his - should we keep him around for entertainment purposes?
